People gave me encouragement here’s more ideas about the Pokémon AU. This is a sorta long post but I’m just cooking
Alerion is dead. Like 100% dead. Team Aether is being ran by Soraza and the twins and it’s not going great. They know he was murdered but aren’t sure who did it. Fable, Enderian, and Netherum have all pointed fingers at one another but the police don’t have any leads.
Rae, Sherb, Athena, and Ari all left home to go on Pokémon adventures for varying different reasons and with different reactions from their parents.
Netherum and Soul could not be more proud of Athena and have given him Pokémon since he was little. They’re sad to see them go but they imagine great things for their little Prince. Any team Nether operants who see them out in the field are happy to lend a hand!
Rae left to go study Pokémon and the effects that psychic and dark type Pokémon have on the world around them. Enderian approves of his research but wishes he would stay home. Truth be told Rae knows there’s something dark going on in Team End but doesn’t know how to confront his mom on it.
Icarus ran away. They were always told the other teams were not to be trusted and the Overworld Foundation would help make a better future without them. However, after running into a former member of team end (Centross) who said some incriminating things about their father and having their life saved by the heir of team nether (Athena) they began to see through the cracks. Ic grabbed his Pokémon team and left in the middle of the night. Luckily they’re not alone as Ven saw them leave and realizing that he might get in trouble with his boss if his son dies…Ven decided to go with them. Ven does not know how to Pokémon battle…yet.
Ari set out to try to find out what happened with Alerion. Soraza gladly sent her on her way with multiple Pokémon and a lengthy tutorial. Ari knows something weird is going on with the other teams and what better way to find out than to befriend the children of their leaders? And she just happened to find one out in the wild traveling with a high clearance employee of the Overworld Foundation.
Might make comics or fics- idk. I figured I’d give bare bones ideas for now though lol
"that the people would see me too as a poet/and not just the muse" is really interesting coming from fable. because he kind of has a point. the aether is inherently derivative and dependent on the other three realms. if it's a work of great art, the other three major gods serve as muses
especially from fable's point of view; in more modern conceptions, the muse of an artist is often mistreated, exploited, and under-credited. (they're also usually like. women suffering under misogynist structures of art and finance, but fable has such a victim complex i can see him being fine with co-opting that /j)
similarly, "i'll never forget that you showed me how to make art" alerion made the other realms for his siblings, which then inspired the creation of mortals. the works of art that fable is driven to kill by losing to alerion also owe their existence to him, in a way
it is so weird seeing trees in full leaf knowing this cmv was filmed, what, two weeks ago? that is NOT how i'm used to trees looking in early may. why is it so green.
"frater meus" hits harder when you remember that vo'lete is largely based off latin. fable is calling alerion his brother in his own language while rationalising why he has to die
obviously the song choice is fucking incredible, you don't need me to tell you that. espicially when that fourth verse hits my god
also alerion desperately crawling backwards and fable shouting why and how this is for the best down at him. peak cinema
it seems like when fable is stewing on the bench there's actually blood on the tip of the sword? like it's mostly out of frame but i swear it's red in some places
It’s Vaeh’s bday, so here’s ideas I think everyone would give her for gifts.
Rae and Fenris: They bake the cake with her favorite colors.
Caspian and Aax: Caspian makes a toy and then Aax paints the toy to make it look nice.
Cari: They draw something for Vaeh (most likely a drawing of them two.)
Athena and Soul: They both make together something that is custom to gift on one’s birthday from the nether.
Ari and the allays: They get a lot of flowers that will never die and give it to her.
Addie sends a book that she made herself. Addie wrote in the inside “Vaeh’s Photo Album.”
Ulysses makes Vaeh a wolf that’s purple stuffed animal.
Ocie and her family get Vaeh little souvenirs and trinkets.
The Pine family gives Vaeh nature themed things. Bruin gets her a lil cow. Easton gives her a piece of oak. Momboo gets Vaeh necklace with Vaeh’s name and flowers.
Isla makes a blanket for Vaeh with her full name in Ender on it.
Centross gets Vaeh a small sword that won’t hurt anyone.
Will and Alerion give her things from the Aether toys.
And finally, Icarixis glitches a gift into the world for Vaeh. The gift being a small bird stuffed animal with a Quixis symbol on its forehead. And a little potion stand and potion books so Vaeh can learn how to make potions. (Also the birds ask Bruin to get her a bird book but say it’s from them)
For starters, the whole thing just feels like Fable slowly descending into madness as he grows hatred to both his broter (Alerion) and the gods that made him and then you have Icarus following in his footsteps-
The shot with Fable walking by pillars, he's very obvious jealous (of who ⟟ can assume is Alerion) bc of when all mortals die, they go to the Aether, he (in Fable's eyes) is getting everything he ever loved and stealing it from him
He's then like- openly admitting that he's thought ab ending Alerion, or does he just wanna be like the primordials? (Or even just Alerion)
He's then just- questioning, if he even should, bc that's his broter, Alerion is the reason he realm even exists to begin with, he's grateful that he's got ⏃ realm, and he got people
Continues to keep questioning his own thoughts,
"But why do ⟟ lie awake each night thinking 'instead of you, it should be me'" this happening around the first mortals dying and Alerion gaining them
We then kinda get a shift of, he's considering it more but yet still kinda, (I wanna say confused but ehhhh) of why is he jealous? Or maybe not why but how does he deal with this feeling of whatever as more of his people keep dying and Alerion keeps getting more of the soup thing he loved so much
The sword shot- mhmmmmmm again- descending into considering to them the shot of what appears would be him the day the Aether fell
"I too have ⏃ destiny, this death will be art, the people will speak of this day from near and afar" he sure did think just killing Alerion would fix everything-
"I don't want what you have, ⟟ wanna be you" he wanted his power, he wanted it to stop death, he didn’t want his kind heart
We the get like- the aftermath of it, with Fable and the sword, he seems like- ⏃ combo of 'Oh ⟟ just did that'' but also he's not regretting it
Ick's part with "born of the cursed sex" ..I mean like father like son am ⟟ right?
i have been thinking about god's motives recently, because we still don't have any concrete motive about why someone would want to kill Alerion, his death was so hazy, and Enderian- the one who had Alerion's powers, who had to have acquired them somehow- Enderian has no motive that i can think of, not any that we've heard about at least.
Netherum had no motive either, especially since if i remember right Athena was created before Alerion's fall, so why would they risk their new child, wife, and realm? what would be strong enough to discard their life?
Fable though; Fable who everyone is aligned against, all of the gods on any side that isnt his,
and maybe Enderion's hatred of him was just for blaming her for Alerion's death- or later, how he treated isla, not having told her about his godhood status, or it could have been he killed Alerion, somehow
because Fable is the only one who has a motive, its been revealing itself more and more now that hes been opening up more
hes scared of the mortals around him dying, he was scared of his kingdom dying, and after the war started, hes scared of his family dying. and Alerion was the one who watched over them when they did
and so maybe he thought- or hoped, that even if the mortals couldnt be alive again, they could roam, still be people like how they were in the aether, if the aether fell
and thats even more suggested in the fact he killed aphrien and achrien to free the souls in the fall of the aether, another attempt to get mortals to still roam
(the question on why they wouldve stopped the souls is another interesting question, or, why they would've stopped fable)
and the fact is- Cece was the only one we know about that actually got out, and that was due to reset and time shenanigans, not of fable's 'help'
so fable does have the most clear motive- to stop death, stop the mortals he cared for from dying, or do the next closest thing
Spoilers for "Shards of his Mind" lore, be warned
So uhhh, how we feelin about that lore? Fable messing with Raes memories, Perix and Fable working together, Fable killing Alerion, small eye duo house.
i suspected for a looong time that Fable was bad, but having confirmation just gives me even more thoughts.
first, we can see how much better Fable treated Icarus than Rae when they were younger. Rae lived in the basement after Fable came along. before he shared a room with Icarus, when Isla was around. when Fable came, Icarus got an expansion, while Rae got kicked out to the basement. now as much as i can understand them not wanting to share a room with a 7 year old, Rae couldve easily gotten a room of his own.
now, the memories Rae was able to see. first, Fable taking Isla. it was my theory he took her, but 1 thing i do not understand is why he took her to the end. "Lennarius and Soul could not keep us apart forever" "it is time for you to return home my love". we know Soul and Len helped Isla get away. but if Fable wanted to take Isla home, the End doesnt seem like the correct place, which is curious. i think Fable mightve used Isla as a.. i dont know the correct word, sacrifice? proof? wanted to show Enderian what hes capable of, if she doesnt give him what he wants. Isla didnt want to go with him, knew he was dangerous, knew he was evil.
other memory, from Perix' shard, was when she got pulled by Fable into Purgatory in a dream. it was his first time actually using Enderians power. he recruited Perix to help guide the others to free him, Perix getting Rae as her new temporary vessel in return. he also offered her a place in his court, but we can see how Fables promises go.
and the last.. Alerion. he wrote a book we saw before, Sontariv. i believe it was censored before? the full book says "im writing to you with urgent message. Fable is almost here and hes not leaving survivors. i need to be sure you get Will out of here safely. i know we arent on best terms but please, do this for me". Alerion knew Fable was coming for him, yet he did not run. he knew Fable was going to kill him and didnt even protect himself. i think he knew Fable wouldnt get his power? somehow transferred it to Enderian before?
theres also the thing of, Epros watched Alerion get killed. Epros saw, knew how Fable acted. the primordials dont seem to like Fable, Epros stuck with Enderian instead of him (or Netherum) after the Aether fell. Alerion knew Fable was evil. and an important thing.. Alerions death didnt start the war. the war was already going, before Alerion was killed.
personally i think the war started because of Fable wanting power, Alerions power. maybe after Fable took Isla to the End? dont have any theories on that yet-
anyways me when the lore thats been happening, its so gooddd
Fable AU where Alerion was actually a vengeful spirit and Will, Soraza, Arisanna, and all Aether 'citizens' were also seeking revenge for their realm and God
I'm happy that we got a canon ending for Seven it's probably the best ending for Seven. But in my mind Seven, Galahad and c!Will are somewhere building Aether style buildings while Alerion floats around supervising the work.
22. From the outside looking in, what is their dynamic like?
The outsider wouldn’t put these two together, because they’re the opposites - one is warm like the sun, and the other is cold like the moon. Their goals seem to be different as well, their personalities seem to clash more than connect. There’s a distance in Vergil, where there’s kindness in Aether. They shouldn’t work. Like fire, like ice, they don’t match.
But a perceptive outsider would notice the subtle care in words, in touch, in action. They’re more softer, caring and true with each other. Sharing interests, passion, burdens - it builds a relationship.
There’s silent trust and communication without words.
