“Okay, listen, you back-seat seasoner...” Daisy chided, “I make an amazing cup of tea, and that’s straight from Fitzsimmons, so I have it on good authority.”

“Pumpkin spice chai, though?” Wanda wrinkled her nose. “I’m unable to ‘hop on that train’, as you so lovingly put it...”

“Just a sip. That’s all I’m asking, Wanda...” Daisy nudged the cup closer to the other woman, grinning as she acquiesced, picking up the cup and taking the tiniest of sips.

And then another.

And then another.

“This is good. I can’t even taste the pumpkin.”

Daisy frowned. “Not sure that’s a good thing...”

“No, it is.  It is,” Wanda assured her.

Stuck in a deep freezer

For:  @agentdaisymaximoff Pairing:  Bucky Barnes/Natasha Romanoff Trope:  Huddling for Warmth   

Bucky wrapped his arms around Natasha.  She hissed when his cybernetic fingers brushed the bare skin of her arm, so he removed that one just as quickly.  

"Sorry," he murmured, pressing his lips to her temple.  "If it makes you feel better, it isn't cold enough in this walk-in to freeze us as long as we stay close…"

"What a hardship, being close to you,"  Natasha whispered facetiously, a soft chuckle wasn't far behind.

He hummed, tilting his head down to rest on top of hers. "Tell me a story."  

"Which one would you like to hear?"  

"Something long enough to keep my mind off of the fact that we're locked in a walk-in freezer with a half of a cow…"  Bucky nodded towards the carcass hanging nearby.  

"So that rules out the time I outran a Texas rancher's prize bull…"  

He snorted.  "That whole story is bull anyway."  

"Is not! I'm pretty fast," Natasha insisted.  

"Not that fast."

I think Lilly and Eileen were one of my earliest lesbian ships. One of my favorite movies and as far as I'm concerned, they ended up together

My headcanon was always that William died of some wild west disease and Eileen travelled to the Klondyke to get to the others, but was weak and sickly by the time she got there and ended up riding into a small town pretty much hanging off her horse.  And then word got to Lilly and she came and they lived happily ever after. The end.

And yet, she's still going to go back to them, because her dumb ass doesn't know any better. I'd bet by next chapter she's thinking "it won't be like that for me!" Ugh, I just want to slap her dumb ass.

To be fair, she has been groomed by them, but you’re going to want to rip your hair out over her idiotic logic in the next two chapters.

“Reservation for Barnes?” Bucky asked, setting his bag down at his feet.  “For two?” 

“Ah yes, of course… Barnes and.. Romanov…”  The little old woman’s voice trailed off as the pieces clicked into place.  “You’re THE Barnes and Romanov, aren’t you?” 

Steeling himself for what was sure to follow, he nodded curtly.  “Yes ma’am… and we mean you and your --”  

Her face broke into a wide smile.  “I’m SO happy you’re here.  I will finally get to try out my Pirozhki recipe… do you or Ms. Romanov have any preference for the fillings?”  

“Apples,” Natasha said, walking in behind him.  “If you don’t mind.”  

The old woman clapped excitedly and took Bucky’s credit card.

Wanda summoned the flannel blanket from the hall closet and was halfway through the process of tucking it around Daisy when the latter woke up.  

Daisy smiled up into Wanda’s face and pulled her down for a kiss.  “Whatcha doin’?” 

“Covering you…” Wanda replied.  “You looked cold.”  

Daisy tugged on her arm until Wanda fell down into her lap, the blanket forgotten on the floor.  “Warm me up, then…” she whispered, the words almost a challenge.  

“If you’re awake enough for that…”

“Bring it, Maximoff.”

“I didn’t see any winter squash,” Pietro said a split second after he and Wanda arrived at the market.  

Wanda sighed.  “Half the fun of these things is walking around, Pietro.”  

“I know.  I just did not want to get your hopes up.  I think it is too early.”  

“Or we were too late... “ Wanda quipped as a woman walked by with two cloth grocery bags filled to the brim with acorn squash.  

“Want me to steal one for you?” he muttered, watching her walk by.  

Wanda swatted his arm.  “She bought them fair and square.”

“She doesn’t need that many.”  

“You don’t know that…”  

Sighing, he acquiesced.  “Fine.  We’ll come back tomorrow.”

the first leaf

Pairing:  Darcy Lewis/Pietro Maximoff (I had to doubletake the pairing and make sure my eyes weren’t deceiving me, lol.  I’m still not sure, I had to go check again before posting.  Let me know if I did it wrong?)   For:  @agentdaisymaximoff Prompt:  #3. Fallen Leaves 

Darcy was seriously just trying to take the dog out for exercise.  Sparky the science dog was her responsibility and taking him to the dog park meant he could run around with the other dogs.  

And Pietro came along because well… he needed exercise too.  And he was always saying how he wanted to go do things with her.  

She had a sneaking suspicion that it was his round about way of asking her out, but she wasn’t about to make this easy for him.  

So when he zipped off the second she let Sparky off the leash, she sighed and collapsed onto a park bench.  It was exhausting, all these high-energy personalities around her: a decidedly low energy personality who hadn’t even had coffee yet.  

Pietro zipped back up, sitting on the bench beside her and holding out an orange leaf.  “First leaf of autumn, Darcy.”  

She laughed, taking it from him.  “Did you catch it before it hit the ground?”  

He shrugged.  “Maybe.”  

“You know most guys give flowers, right?”  

“I’m not most guys,” was his snarky reply.  

“Don’t I know it…”

melting mess

"It's still not done…" Pietro huffed impatiently. He watched with a dull stare as his marshmallow slowly roasted in the campfire.  

"You can't rush perfection, babe."  Daisy grinned over at him, leaning into his space and pressing her lips to his.  "You're just going to have to wait."  

"I hate waiting…" he growled, capturing her lips and causing his fourth marshmallow to dip into the flames, leaving a charred melted mess on the stick.  

His girlfriend was far from charred, but melting and mess definitely described her at various times immediately following.
