last few hours of being awake for bday and I have watched 2 eps of Skull Island on Netflix now (out of curiosity to hear some of the VAs work)

there is something interesting going on here...

man, me and my sibling have continued our Jade Armor watch episode by episode and the local CN has skipped a few eps, but on the general, I really like the small developments happening in the background. it's a really fun show! I gotta post some fanart of it.

got home today from doctor visit and other daily tasks. Re-watching Jade Armor ep 12, "The Show Must Go On" and this show really does go hard for the more conflicting episodes (it's giving me everything I want from a action superhero show like this)

also the fight choreography is so good as always, but this ep really focuses on it bc of the topic. i also like how they develop Kai more, and in just a few moments, to build up to the conflict at the end

i missed out on catching up on jade armor bc I forgot to use the tv, but, it's a pretty fun show with a fast pacing and cute character moments. I really enjoy the art and any time i see a new title screen I just wish I could see the crew of the show posting this art online lol

anyway, "new episodes airing on May 2nd!!!!!" - dunno how true this is since our local CN is some sort of UK feed and idk how much that just means old eps will be re-aired, but! still excited to at least check it out. where is the fandom for this show that would rejoice at this

watching kulipari in a dub right now out of ucriosityy and, man, I really slept on this series when it was first coming out on netflix, huh? (although i bet i was just busy around then lol)

My Dad the Bounty Hunter s2 is coming out today, thursday the 17th of August!

man...spoilers for the last ep of My Dad the Bounty, but this show has some really strong art direction. really enjoying this.

watching "My Dad's a Bountyhunter" today and at the 2nd ep. is so funny. spoilers but I was hoping the dad would not get banned from the chicken place xD

sdfsdfs i also love how Glorlax sounds like he got new partners and now he's in a semi-platonic work-personal polycule or smth. i know that's probably not the intention, but it sure sounds like it and it's both funny and heartwarming to think of? like idk anything about this character besides him being an ex-work partner of Sabo but I love seeing his new partners worry about him too. shows a nice kind of layering or something about the cartoon.

so i watched 2 more eps of Jade Armor and. gotta say. I really enjoy how immediate/fast the important info goes in the eps. like in ep 2 we find out important info about Lan Jun AND Jade Armor and then in the next we're introduced to a character the main cast know, but we as viewers don't.

really makes it feel like the crew is already aware of a lot of things in the action adventure/coming of age genre with fantasy elements and they just wanna get to them as fast and focused as possible for the benefit of the audience but also probably to have more time to put the focus of the production on other things too... lol just some thoughts cuz now I'm only up to 4 eps into the show ^^ it's fun to watch!

watching ep 21 and man, for a 20-something janitor who wants to serve an evil lord, Will is really skilled in lots of different tech things. truly a overworked, underapperciated zillenial icon (probably intentional on the part of teamTO haha)

waiting for some cartoon youtuber to become obsessed with Jade Armor so more ppl can find it and become obsessed with it so there's more fan content on tumblr (like fanart and gifsets)

like this show is genuinely good but i think it might be suffering under the whole mindset of "it's a 3D cartoon for kids so the usual western cartoon fan is unaware/avoiding of it"

watched another "season 2" ep today and jade armor really going places with the whole "love interest on the other side" trope

(ive missed ONE ep [ep 12] so of course, I'm missing a whole lot of context)

lol I was rewatching some s2 episode previously and coming back to netflix and

sdfsdf i don't remember watching some of these after that, it's like netflix doesn't want me rewatching this show xD
