So my local AHL team is the Syracuse Crunch and I called them today to get tickets to a game and they put me on hold for a bit to find my tickets in the system or whatever.

is there a reason the leafs haven't called up easton yet? they drafted him, did they not? I'm a bit confused.

they did draft and sign him, yes! however, once a CHL player is sent back down to juniors, he has to wait until the next season starts to be called back up.

that said, though, they are eligible to be called up for playoffs, if need be!

although, in this case, i’d imagine it’s in treliving’s best interests to keep easton where he is, even come playoffs, considering the season easton’s currently having. it’s looking more and more likely by the day that the knights are going to make it to the memorial cup championship, and they very much need easton to be able to make that happen.

plus, we wouldn’t want to take away the very real possibility of easton meeting up with fraser minten at the mem cup final. an event that i would immediately become absolutely insufferable about.

By the way, if you don't feel like watching the NHL (or even hockey in general) this year because of all the bullshit that's happened, don't feel bad. Don't force yourself to watch this year if you don't feel like it. Feel free to skip a year or even a few select games.

u so right about slafkovsky, i think matthew knies decided to stay in the ahl in his first season and now is doing really good in the nhl. It just takes time for a player to mature, jack hughes too

Exactly. People are forgetting that even David Pastrnak played in the AHL and look at where he is now. I don't think it has hurt him one bit.
