「Farewell, Professor」
cw // blood, major character death
I had this image of AI Turo sending the Professor's ashes to the future and I just couldn't keep it to myself.

Something that really bothers me about Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is that the professor being ai is technically foreshadowed throughout the game using their animation (if you look, any time they aren’t talking they are completely still, which in 3D animation looks unnatural), but because the game is so buggy, I put that aside as lazy animation and not foreshadowing.

INDIRECT SPOILER FOR SCARLET AND VIOLET.
AI Clavell has initiated a battle.
Absolutely no context behind this other then “What if you swap Clavell and the professor? What if he was the bad guy like everyone thought?”
… and, also, this was just an excuse to draw Clavell with messy hair like we see AI Turo/Sada eheh

Over a year later, I am still thinking about AI Sada.
You know? There is a key difference between AI Sada and AI Turo, that always messes me up.
If AI Turo goes to the future, chances are there would have super advanced technology, enough to make him be able to leave Area Zero, to be free to explore this future world and see it in all its glory.
But for AI Sada? This is the end.
There is no one who could fix her, if she needs to recharge her batteries that could also only last so long; an ancient pokemon may end up destroying her if the environment doesn't do that first. No matter how you say it, she will not last.
And there is no way she doesn't know this.
She can't stop the time machine, so with this knowledge in mind, she decides to end this madness by getting the impossible dream she inherited from Sada, even if this dream also means it would be her definitive end. Humans can't understand (to a certain degree at least,) the idea of not existing, our brains can't fully process it; as an AI, can she? Can she grasp truly, what the end means, and still go and embrace it as her dying wish?
AI Turo going to the future means choosing life, having the freedom it could never achieve in the present. But AI Sada going to the past means facing the end in order to save the world.
And that will always get to me.

Everyone knows that Rainbow Rocket meme right, about Ghetsis the high wizard and the business men?
I expanded it for the new games. Enjoy.

Pokemon's done a lot of crazy stuff but I'm gonna be honest with you, ScarVio's ending probably caught me off guard the most out of any Pokemon game because I was not expecting them to pull out a fully sapient AI as the final antagonist, nor was I expecting said AI to be a legitimately tragic figure.
