Hi there :D If I may can I request a scenario where it's Yami x reader, and the reader dies giving birth to their 3rd child? If you are uncomfortable with this topic then I deeply apologize and you can just skip over this if you would like! But I wish you a lovely time whatever time it is for you!

oh god, you guys like breaking my heart. Again, this is not the job for Aine, (இдஇ; ) I'll leave it to my evil twin sister Nine to do this.

Anyhoo, I'll try my best to write this because, I have never experienced pregnancy, or child birth and its complications. Also, I hope you have a lovely day Anony!!

TW: Angst, giving birth, pregnancy, death of character.

Also I'll be using Yuki and Yua again for the first and second child names, because I'm just lazy to think of names and that you guys are familiar with them! But I'll be changing their gender, aha!

Yami x f! reader

"Princess number 2. I'll see you real soon," Your husband's huge palm rested on your belly as the other arm wrapped itself around your frame, pulling you in for a kiss on your temples.

"Sadly, I'm no longer princess," You gave him a feigned pout.

"You're my queen baby," he smirked at you. He loved it when you got jealous, even though you were joking.

"I'm also no longer baby, I'm getting old and fat" you sigh as you rested on your husband's broad chest.

"You're the most beautiful goddess, what are you talking about?" his brows furrowed. In Yami's eyes, you were perfect, always.

"She's quite the calm one, compared to Yua and Yuki," you rubbed your belly, "she seldom kicks or make a fuss. She's going to be a good girl."

"Good. The two monkeys tire me out, hopefully this princess will be calmer, like her mom."

"I got a feeling you're going to spoil this girl." you pulled back and looked at your man.

"Baby, I am always a fair father," he looked at you, feigning hurt, "I could almost take over dammmit's job."

You laughed, caressing his face, "It's Damnatio, when are you learning his name? It's been like 10 years?"

He held onto your hand that was on his face, looking at you affectionately, "the only one I'm unfair to, is you okay? I spoil you rotten. Thank you for going through this baby."

"Mhm," you leaned back onto his chest, your cheeks tinted in a rosy pink, your heart still skipped a beat whenever Yami said affectionate and genuine words to you like that.

Your water bag broke. You slowly went to wash your hair and pack your stuff to get ready for the hospital. Being in your third pregnancy, you knew you still had time before the contractions came. So you took it easy.

You came into your husband's office, "babe, I need to go to the hospital now, my water broke awhile ago. I've packed my things. I'm going to say bye to Yua and Yuki!"

He looked at you a little stunned at first, and then he chuckled at your nonchalance. That's my girl. He thought to himself as he got ready to leave.

"Yua, Yuki, Mummy's gonna pop, so I'm headed to the hospital. I'll be right back, okay? Be good and listen to Aunty Vanessa and Aunty Secre."

"Okay mummy," your 4 year old son, Yuki gave you a hug, "see you later"

"I love you cupcake," you gave him a peck on the cheeks as you ruffled his hair.

"Mummy, will Uncle William and Aunty h/n come over?" your 7 year old daughter Yua's eyes sparkled. Her eyes looked so much like her fathers.

"Yes, they will later, pumpkin." you beamed at her. You were glad she was close with William and his wife, and that they doted on her like their own. You gave her a hug and a kiss, "mummy loves you."

"Be good alright you brats?" Yami's voice sounded behind you, "daddy's gonna bring mummy to the hospital and we'll be back soon, don't cause too much trouble."

Yami held your hand as you were pushing your baby out. It had proven to be a tough birth. You didn't even struggle this much when you had Yua, your firstborn.

Your face was turning pale and you were running out of energy.

"Baby, hang on a little alright?" Yami wiped the sweat off your forehead, "she's a cheeky one huh? Giving you a smooth pregnancy but a difficult labour."

"We can see the head now, Mrs Sukehiro, just a few more push!" the doctor and nurses cheered you on.

Moments later, the sounds of a wailing baby could be heard. Yami carried your newborn daughter and in his arms, his grin spreading till the sides of his face.

"She looks just like you, y/n." he showed her to you.

You were sapped of all your energy, you could barely feel your limbs and your felt your surroundings go dark. You saw your newborn daughter's face and your proud husband looking back at you. That beautiful imaged etched in your mind as your lips barely tugged up into a small smile and your eyes closed.

"Mr Sukehiro, we need to move Mrs Sukehiro to a bigger operating theatre immediately. It seems she is losing too much blood and it is not stopping. Her life is in danger."

What? Weren't you just tired from the long and difficult labour? Danger?

"What are you talking about?" Yami looked at the doctor, a look of confusion clouding his face.

"Sir, I'm sorry, I'll get the nurses to explain, we need to move her now. You need to move out of here and have the baby cleaned up." the doctor and nurses quickly pushed his wife out of the room.

Yami was in a loss and he subconsciously handed his newborn to the nurses and he staggered out of the room.

"Mr Sukehiro?" a nurse called to him, "It may seem that Mrs Sukehiro is suffering from Amniotic fluid embolism. It is extremely rare for this to occur during labour.. But it seems -"

"What does it mean? Is she going to die??" Yami grabbed at the nurse suddenly.

"S-sir!" the nurse squealed, "calm down! the doctors are doing their best!"

"Why is this happening?" Yami pressed further.

"Amniotic fluid embolism means that the amniotic fluid or fetal material enters the mother's bloodstream. This causes an inflammatory reaction and the body activates abnormal blood clotting in the mother's lungs and blood vessels.."

"But she's always been healthy! And her pregnancy was smooth!"

"S-sir.. that's why it is rare.. A likely cause is that there was a breakdown in the placental barrier, maybe from trauma from the body. But nobody could have predicted this. It is extremely rare," the nurse repeated.

Yami held onto his newborn, staring at her face. She was the splitting image of you. Even though she was barely an hour old. He could tell she was going to look just like you.

Julius and his wife, h/n came rushing to the hospital upon hearing the news.

"She's beautiful," h/n said softly as she looked at your baby girl.

"How's y/n?" Julius asked gently.

Yami shook his head, "still inside."

"No news, means it's good." Julius patted his shoulder, giving it a tight squeeze.

"The family of Y/n Sukehiro..?" The doctor came out after 30 minutes in the operation theatre. His ki was solemn and Yami's heart was already racing. He did not want to hear what the doctor had to say.

He gathered all his strength to stand up and he handed the baby over to h/n as he went up to the doctor.

Julius frowned as he pursed his lips. He gave his wife's shoulders a tight squeeze. H/n looked over to her husband and understood. Julius had looked ahead in time.

Yami didn't need time magic to know what was the doctor going to say. The truth was, he lost the feeling of your ki about 5 minutes ago.

"I'm sorry.. We did our best to save her.."

He didn't even hear what the doctor said afterwards, he felt gravity pulling down on him roughly that it sent him to his knees, the tears that were gathered in his eyes 5 mins ago now rolling down from his cheeks splattering over the hospital's floor.

It hurt. The feeling of his heart ripped out from his chest, leaving him a hollow feeling in his centre. It hurt so much he was left gaping as squeals left his throat.

Julius kneeled down beside his friend, and wrapped his hands around Yami's huge frame as the big man broke down. Julius has never seen Yami so defeated in his life. He has conquered war after war, faced with numerous difficulties and almost losing his life. This man never lost hope. He found love and made a family in this foreign land but only to have his heart broken and ripped apart by god.

Good god, Julius shook his head, why are you doing this to Yami? Of all people, why him? He doesn't deserve any of this.

He had no idea how long he kneeled there crying. But he heard a baby wailing. It was his daughter. The last gift that you gave to him. He stood up, and looked at her, his heart filled with mixed feelings.

You died because of her. But you loved her with everything you had, and eventually even gave your life for her.

"Does she have a name?" Julius spoke softly, "I'll go help you take care of the administrative."

He looked at her e/c eyes which were the exact shade of yours. He would look at this face for his life and remember you forever. You were right, you were going to spoil her, just like how he spoilt you.

His memories took him back when you both were deciding on a name. You wanted to name her Yuuna, meaning kind and bright. But..

Yami looked at his daughter again. "Yeien."

From the word Eien, meaning forever.

It was hard. Everything was hard. Explaining to the kids that they were never going to see their mother again. Coming home to a bed without you. Seeing your presence everywhere but he couldn't touch, smell, hear or feel you. It was just hard without you in his life.

He held his kids as they cried in his arms. He gave in as well, as your beloved family cried over you. The scene absolutely broke everyone's heart.

Thankfully there was William, Julius and the bulls there to help with everything and the kids. Yami was a total wreck without a soul in him. His eyes were empty as his mind continuously flashed with memories of you.

He held your hands for the last time. Your body lifeless and cold. But your face, so beautiful and peaceful.

His heart was broken. Hell, he didn't even know if his heart was still there. His chest felt so empty yet it was so heavy.

"Watch over us baby. My most beautiful goddess." he whispered, as he stroked your hair and your face one last time. He leaned in and press a soft kiss to your forehead.

"I love you so much my princess. My forever."
