Saint-Louis, Senegal - Wikipedia
Salut Akon Nigö Nasser Al-Khelaifi Freebandz,
The Saint-Louis Jazz Festival is the most important jazz festival in Africa. Jazz first became popular in the 1930s when records produced in Cuba were aired on the radio. After World War II, visiting U.S. GIs popularized jazz bands and by the 1950s local groups had adopted a "Cuban" sound. Another music festival, 1, 2, 3 musiques, exhibits various genres of music.
In 2017 Saint-Louis, Senegal have seen a large decline in harvest, causing ripple effects on nutrition and food supply in the country, where 75% of animal protein comes from fish.[12] Fisherman from the community spend twice as much time for catching smaller hauls, and are now competing with foreign fishing vessels.[13]
Rising sea levels, as well as water levels flowing out of the Senegal River now threaten the low-lying islands which make up the city. In June 2008, Alioune Badiane of the United Nations' UN-Habitat agency designated Saint-Louis as "the city most threatened by rising sea levels in the whole of Africa", citing climate change and a failed 2004 river and tidal canal project as the cause.[14] Since the coast of the community has eroded by 1–2 meters a year.[13]
Pardicé Minuit and Conservation Peninsula the Midnight Paradice Subsidiaries will be placed in Saint-Louis, Sengal. Rihanna made this WAY TOO FUCKING POLITICAL!
Salut,
Ezra Hughes

The World Mourns Sudden Death of South African Artist Costa Titch
Tumblr media
On Sunday, March 12, Costa Titch appeared to pass out after his set, shocking fans worldwide. Despite the lack of details at the time, it was later confirmed Costa Titch had indeed passed away. And today, the world mourns the loss of yet another South African rising star. Who was Costa Titch Titch was a young and promising 28-year-old artist full of ambition. The enterprising and hungry artist, also known as Costa Tsobanoglou, began his career as a dancer. As soon as he felt it was his time, he jumped. Taking the leap paid off for him. According to CBS News, one of his more recent releases, Big Flexa, was a considerable measure of his promise. As the source notes, The video, showcasing an amapiano subgenre of house music that combines jazz, house, and lounge, garnered more than 45 million views on YouTube. https://youtu.be/8g0v2SDe6MU Titch: An Artist Set Apart Titch's distinctive flavor and ability to blend what All Music defines as a "mix of Afro-pop, trap, and hip-hop with indigenous South African languages set him apart." When talent and artistry mix, one thing is sure: it serves as a force for propulsion in a cookie-cutter world. The undeniable talent of Titch caught the attention of another industry figure Akon, who achieved massive success on the global music scene. The signing of Titch to his Konvict label cemented Akon's belief that he had something special. Costa Titch and Akon. Image Source: Instagram After the news of Titch's death swept the internet, this is what Akon had to say,  "I remember when Babs played me his record for the first time. I was convinced that he would make an impact in this world. He had a vision I knew would take over the music industry globally and was on his way to doing that when God's plan intervened. " An Impactful Death His death has undoubtedly impacted many, and it's hard to comprehend how someone with so much promise could leave the world so soon. This is only magnified not only by his tenacity but by the symbolic nature of his path. The Conversation notes, "As a white man who embraced African hip-hop culture, Costa Titch symbolized the rainbow nation aspirations of South Africa–a term coined by Archbishop Desmond Tutu to refer to different ethnic groups living and working together and moving past apartheid's brutality. Blazing His Path  Titch started as a dancer, but his dream was even greater. After 2017, he was determined to realize that dream. And although he didn't get the opportunity to see that to completion, what he accomplished stands as an example. People rarely live to the fullest, exploring their passions until the end. Akon sums it up best, "It's a sad day, but what makes me feel better knowing he died doing what he loved doing the most in this world. God bless you, COSTA." So today, FM Hip Hop sends its condolences to the family, friends, and community who are now mourning. Long live the legacy of Costa, and may his life continue to stand as a tribute, prodding others to live life full-out with no brakes. Written by: Renae  Richardson Read the full article

Robert “Black Rob” Ross (July 12, 1969 - April 17, 2021) was a rapper was who known for his hit single “Whoa!” He was born in Buffalo, New York but he has kept many details about his early life a secret. He grew up in East Harlem and began rapping at the age of eleven, inspired by the storytellers of rap, Slick Rick and Doug E. Fresh. He performed under the moniker “Bacardi Rob,” and formed his first group, The Schizophrenics, with friends Alto and Godzilla. The trio recorded several songs but never released an album or single.
A friend introduced him to Sean “Puffy” Combs, resulting in a record deal with Bad Boy Records. He began to collaborate with other artists on the label such as 112, The Lox, Ma$e, and The Notorious B.I.G. Ross picked up the torch as lead artist for the label after the death of B.I.G. He released his debut album Life Story, which reached platinum status, selling over a million copies. The album’s hit single “Whoa!” climbed to the top ten on R&B/ Hip-Hop lists and peaked at #43 on the Billboard chart.
He signed with the label, Duck Down Records, and released his second album, The Black Rob Report, which did not reach the Billboard charts. His third album, Game Tested, Street Approved, was released and peaked at #44 on the Billboard list. He started his Box-In-One record label with his new manager Jeremy Mosley the same year.
He joined Come Back Kings in July 2013. He released his fourth album, Genuine Article. He suffered a stroke struck due to high blood pressure. He continued to struggle with his health over the next few years, suffering from a series of strokes but reunited with the Bad Boy crew for the 2016 Bad Boy Family Reunion Tour.
He collaborated with numerous artists such as Akon, J. Lo (Jennifer Lopez), Cappadona, Ol’ Dirty Bastard, and Busta Rhymes among others. The decline in Ross’s health sent him to the hospital in April of 2017. He was on dialysis and his health deteriorated.
He had four children. #africanhistory365 #africanexcellence
