'Shadow in the Light'

Pairing: Captain John Price/GN!Reader

Fandom: Call of Duty MWII (2022)

You were on the run. Well, more like on the stealth run--you couldn't afford to get caught by anybody. Especially Graves. You weren't just simply let go, once you saw the shift in his attitude when he said "General Shepherd sends his regards," you knew the situation was about to go awry. As soon as Alejandro lunged at Alejandro you tried to run. You wanted absolutely no part in whatever the bell Graves had planned, but you also knew by getting away you had nobody. Task force 141 and Los Vaqueros had zero reason to trust or believe that you were one of the good guys on their side.

It took some fighting to get out of there. As soon as you got a few steps away another Shadow grabbed your arm asking where the fuck did you think you were going. He let you free, but not without a bullet in your back. Back of the bulletproof vest that is, the dumbass thought one shot one kill worked in the real world

You escaped, sure, but that didn't stop Soap and Ghost from finding you and taking you in for question when you posed no threat with your measly pistol that had 2 bullets left in the magazine. They wouldn't let you speak up and say you weren't a foe. I mean, why would they? Why should they? Anyone that wasn't with them is now granted hostile status. And while yes, you didn't have many weapons on your character, you were still combat trained, and they knew that for damn sure.

"What the hell do we do with them?," Soap says on your right

"We question them at the safe house. There's no way they can contact the Shadows now. Radio's dead. Price'll be here in a few. Come on, get out the car you're coming with us," Ghost says pulling you from the middle seat that you were just smushed in sitting in between them. Not so bad, at least you weren't cold from the heat they were emitting together

"How much did you know about this?," Soap says getting close to your face to intimidate you

"Not a thing. Can you let me go? I literally left because I didn't agree with any of the shit he was spewing"

"Oh no, not until we get intel on what the fuck just happened and what's about to happen. You're staying put until Price gets here."

"Price? As in...John?," you knew the name sounded familiar when Ghost said it, but you were too focused on trying to get out of the hand made zip tie put on your wrists

"...You know him?," Ghost says from the dark corner he was standing in. You notice he does that quite frequently from the few times you've actually seen him

"I...Used to work with him. Like what Laswell does but a different department. Way before 141 was really a thing, that's why you guys don't know who I am," you told them this while trying to maneuver out of the restraints. You were expressive in the way you spoke, moving around a lot so they don't catch on

"So why did you leave and start working for Shadow Company?," Soap fully stands, crossing his arms

"I was stupid and took an easy opportunity when I saw one. More pay for a job I wasn't as qualified for. They didn't want me for data analytics, more so on the field-"

"Did you know Graves was taking our base?," Rodolfo says walking in from another room, clearly listening

"Yes and no. He mentioned seizing a spot but I didn't know it was yours. Matter of fact, a lot of us didn't, but we usually just go along with Graves without question. Now let me go my wrists are gonna turn blue"

"Like I said, no chance. Captain will be here shortly to get the rest out of ya. Seems you two have some catching up to do," Soap rebuttals

"Fuck am I gonna do? Run away? We're in the middle of nowhere and I'm just as capable as you all are"

"Yeah, that's the problem," Soap turns away from you to talk to Ghost about something you can't hear. You take this opportunity to further break out of your confines. You made sure not to completely undo it so it doesn't hit the ground and make noise. Once successful you survey your surroundings for easy exits

"How much longer is this going to take?," you say sounding like your patience was running thin to distract them

"Why? Got somewhere to go?," Ghost questions from the same spot, not budging even a little bit

You were diagonal to the front door and the windows close to it. You planned to break free, throw the chair towards one of them, then hop out the window furthest from the area

Should be easy

Why were you running if you're on their side? Well, you felt like you had no saving grace at getting on their good side. So fuck it, your word probably won't mean much. What happens when they get what they want from you? Who the hell knows, you're not trying to find out any time soon

You caused a diversion by looking in a random direction and shouting "Who the fuck is that?!" prompting them to all look at the same time. In that split second you did exactly as you planned, getting away and taking off in any direction far from the safe house. Until you heard a gun click.

It's dark outside and miles from the border. Who could this possibly be around this time?

"Keep your head still. No sudden movements," you know that voice anywhere

"Price-"

"Shut your mouth and come with me. Make this easy for the both of us."

You slowly turned with your hands above your head, hoping he'll be able to see your face

"Well, well, well. Long time no speak, partner"

He lowers his gun and puts your arms behind your back, explaining that you may be old friends, but that doesn't mean he won't do what's needed to get the information the task force needs on Graves' next moves.

"It's just you and me, sweetheart. Give me what I need and nobody gets harmed in the process. I even let you remain unrestricted so this should be a breeze."

"I'll tell you all I know, but what's gonna happen when you get what you want, huh? Gonna- what, kill me? Send me back? Send me to prison?"

"I don't think you understand," he put his hands on the table from the other side and leaned close to you, "I ask the questions, you answer them. Got it? Good. Now-"

"I know you want me, Captain. No need to hide it," you lean forward in your chair to blur his mind a bit. You could tell he was already stressed from something so you're taking advantage. Not like you want him to respond honestly or anything...

He says your last name to warn you of overstepping

"What? Am I wrong? All you have to do is say 'no, I don't' and I'll drop it, John," you soften up your voice and that frustrates him even more. He chuckles lowly to keep himself grounded

"How about we focus on the task at hand, hm? Whatever game you're trying to play won't work. Tell me what Graves plans to do. Now."

The table separating you two wasn't that big, so he was mighty close to you even from a short lean towards you, given how tall he is. You stand slowly while staring him in the face to try to get a read on his thoughts, puffing your chest out in the midst

"The task at hand will be solved once you answer me first. You need me, John, so let's not do thi-" he grabbed your face with one hand to bring you closer to his. You could feel the heat from his breath from the proximity

"You. Drive me. Crazy. Were you always this stubborn?"

"That's not in my job description now is it?," you say despite your cheeks being squished in his palm

"You're a cheeky one aren't ya..." he let go and you stumbled backwards into the cold brick wall not too far behind you

"You want an answer?," he says scaling the table towards you. Once he stood in front of you he lifted your chin just a bit, "Here it is,"

Now, your mind was racing with a million different thoughts. In the forefront you always wondered what kind of kisser he is. Rough? Soft? Sensual? Quick? Slow? Handsy? Many options here. What you didn't account for though...

You gasped as he lifted you in his arms but even more surprised you didn't hesitate to straddle his waist. For a short moment you recalled having a small crush on him during the time you worked with him. Truth is, you fantasized about a moment like this before with him, but shoved it back down the pit of your mind. You wouldn't dare let feelings get in the way of work.

But you're off the clock until further notice.

He kissed you like you were long distance lovers who hadn't seen each other in decades. It was feverish and a bit sloppy. Fast but laced with passion. The spark ignited in both of you as soon as your lips met. You kissed him like it was the last kiss that you would ever have. Your hands found their way in his hair and you tugged a little to experiment. This earned a muffled groan from him and he hugged you closer to him. He pulled back for a moment to look at your lips that became puffy already

"I could take you against this wall right fuckin' now."

"Whatever gets me to talk, right, Captain?," he grunts at the sound of his title leaving your lips

"Like this or facing the wall. Take your pick."

"I am in custody aren't I?," he knew exactly what you were hinting at from your simple teasing inquiry. He gently places you down and turns you by your shoulders, pressing his body against your back after putting one arm behind you

This'll be fun

Not even ten minutes later he's rutting up into you like an outside dog. First he would whisper smart remarks in your ear about how good you are for him. Taking him like a champ. You were already getting so loud he had to cover your mouth with his free hand, especially since the room had an echo. His heavy breaths going down your neck were bouncing off the solid light gray walls with no shame

"You know- When you worked with me, I wondered how good you'd look bent over my desk countless times. Those- tight pants you always wore and- loose collared shirts that still showed what you had going on under there. Was that all for me? Even if not it felt like it. Ohh how I wanted to ravish you," steadily shit talked as your muffled cries seemed loud and clear to him. The walls weren't thin, but he wouldn't have cared if they were. Whatever gets the job does is whatever gets the job done. Oh yeah, and getting information from an interrogation

Your nails scratched the walls as he spoke to you. As many times as you've imagined something like this, it wasn't even close. Your brain became mush in instant.

"Is that so wrong? To think of a coworker like this? To think of a coworker taking every inch of me while they enjoy every second of it? Hm? Tell me," you shook your head frantically before starting to rut back to him, trying to tell him you want more. Need more.

"All you had to do was ask, love."

He removed his hand and wrapped his arms around your torso. He pulled you off the wall and set you back down to bend over the table. It was metal and the cold from it was biting back at your now exposed skin including the side of your cheek. He didn't even pull out the whole time he moved you. He didn't have to.

He hovered over you with his hands by your head as he started up again. By the point, he didn't mind your noises of reassurance. You laid there and felt ever last bit of him. You felt his hand press on your stomach before you heard him chuckle again in that same cadence he did before

"You feel that? That bulge?," he took your hand and put it where his was to feel him going in and out, "That's all me. The things you do to me are just...unfathomable-"

He felt you tighten around him, taking this as a smoking signal that you were about to crash down on him. He could feel his own creeping up on him too

"Let's go together, shall we?," all it took was a few more strokes before the coil inside both of you snapped. You let yourself moan uncontrollably as he groaned, pumping his own seed inside of you in pride. Watching and feeling the excess dribble down your legs and the rest of his shaft. "What a beaut...," he mumbles above you as you catch your breath and try to un-fuzz your vision.

After cleaning up you both went back to how you started: You in the chair and him standing across from you ready to get down to business

"You ready to talk now?"

"Will I be sent back to Shadow Company?"

As much as you had no issue with spilling, you really didn't want to go back. Who knows what they would do to you

"Hun, I'm not so cruel. You'll have to come back with us and see if you can get your old job back. I'm sure Laswell would love to see you again," he winks and sits down, intertwining his fingers, "You have the floor"

Here goes nothing.
