Would you be willing to translate the Chinese fanfics on ao3 for mriad?
hahaha considering the length of all the fics i’ve seen so far ranging from 10k to 20k words each and also because i have to translate TSOMD first it might be difficult, and also i have to go ask the fic authors for permission too ;-; maybe not right now but i can give a synopsis of the ones i’ve read so far:
1. 玫瑰情种 by 898989 - lu yao who is still a banker actually schemes to get into chusheng’s pants omg this is one of my favourites!! so lu yao is drunk and he pretends to know chusheng at the nightclub so he can get into chusheng’s pants, they sleep together, and then lu yao schemes to tank some of the financial assets that boss bai has funds in, and then when boss bai gets desperate and finds lu yao (he doesn’t know that lu yao orchestrated it in the first place), lu yao helps him out and out of gratitude, boss bai asks him what he wants and lu yao pointed at qcs and was like “is he wiling to marry me” AND THEY GET MARRIED OMG they do, but that’s like the unravelling sub plot throughout the whole fic, the main part of the fic is that someone at lu yao’s bank dies and lu yao is the one with the most suspicion, and he’s only been wedded to chusheng for like a week at that point so he’s navigating the murder case + his marriage with qcs - boss bai finds out later what lu yao did but he’s not angry, he’s quite impressed and he’s just kinda shakes his head and is like “wow he did all that for you?” to qcs HAHAHA
2. 民国有八卦 by 9pears - so qcs and ly piss off a journalist and the journalist writes this like ‘story’ with bogus character names and insinuates that qcs and ly are in a gay relationship tgt. chaos ensures - lu yao’s sister calls, boss bai calls, everyone on the streets start gossiping about them and then of course as they kind of try to clear things up they fall for each other, lu yao confesses first leaving qcs a little at a loss - this fic kind of weaves in and out around episodes 25 onwards, so like russian roulette still happens with the sister, sister still finds someone to shoot at lu yao but qcs gets shot instead, etc. i like this a lot as well it’s hilarious
3. 你好,穿越了解一下 by 9pears - OMG SO OKAY TIME TRAVEL/AU TRAVEL SHIT IS SO NOT UP MY ALLEY LIKE IT IS NOT MY KIND OF FIC AT ALL BUT WHOA I LOVED THIS?!!! so basically it talks about hu yitian and zhang yunlong, and then qcs/ly, and one day while hyt and zyl are on some interview press tour thing for MRIAD, zyl disappears and goes back in time or into the story, and exchanges ‘souls’ with qcs, so qcs turns up in the present world with hyt and zyl ends up really having to act out the part of qcs during the republican era. it’s hilarious, because firstly at this point the author doesn’t seem like they’re pushing hyt/zyl as a relationship, only qcs/ly, so it shows how unfamiliar hyt is with zyl? yeah they’re good friends and everything but when it qcs turns up in zyl’s body in the present, hyt is like oh shit what the fuck do i do i dont even know where you live and can we even trust your manager because idk you well enough to know if you like your manager or not?!!! and hyt ends up having to teach qcs how to use WECHAT PAY AND ALIPAY it’s hilarious it’s another whole different rollercoaster ride.
and then back in the past/in the story, ly is trying to help zyl but because you know the show never liked showed us where qcs lives? so it’s fucking funny cuz ly is like okay bring us to your home and zyl is like... “it was never written in the script where qcs lives so i dont know either” LMAAOOOOO and zyl in the first chapter is like, “hold on, did i travel here just to be a matchmaker for these two pining idiots - lu yao and qcs?”- anyway this is not yet completed but oof it is GOOD
honestly this one is pretty well done, like no awkwardness about it at all and details are A++++ i really want these two authors to write more but i dont wanna be rude about it so all i’ve said to them in chinese are “i really love this thank you this is the best thing ever” because suddenly when i actually need to converse in chinese all the vocab leaves me

What Is Financial Technology — Fintech and how is it useful in 2020? (with examples)

If you see the pattern then in the 21st-century financial technology which is popularly referred to as fintech has risen dramatically since the last 5 years and is projected to rise more in upcoming days. The sole purpose of Fintech is to modernize traditional financial trading that includes anything from mobile payments applications to cryptocurrency.
‘At the end of the day, customer-centric fintech solutions are going to win.’ — Giles Sutherland, Carta Worldwide
Mobile applications play a major role in fintech with mobile app users can do a variety of financial activities like money transfer, avail mobile banking, invest directly from mobile, get advice on the phone, etc.
According to EY’s 2017 Fintech Adoption Index, one-third of users utilize at least three to four or more fintech services and those users are also increasingly aware of fintech as a part of their daily lives.

Fintech is also subtly helping cryptocurrency and as the current market tells that cryptocurrency is booming and a lot of development is happening in cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Tether (USDT), Libra and many more.
In simple language, if we have to describe what fintech is then any individual or company that uses the internet, mobile phones, cloud services and software technology to connect financial service at one place at any time it resulted in innovation; innovation in financial technology which says FINTECH.
Some of the Factsheet about Fintech
PayPal is one of the most well-known fintech companies, with a transaction volume of US$333.8 billion in 2019 as per Statista
Venmo is another, which reached its first US$1 billion transaction volume in January 2016 as per Venmo
Stripe is the biggest fintech company in the United States and one of PayPal’s biggest competitors, worth US$22.5 billion by Forbes
China’s online payment market is dominated by three services that make up 66% of all digital transactions made in China (Alipay, China pay, and Tenpay), which make up 29%, 19.5%, and 17.6% of the market, respectively according to Bloomberg
Ant Financial is the biggest fintech company globally, with an estimated worth of US$75 billion by Investopedia
Types of Fintech services trends in 2020
At first, fintech was dedicatedly made to function as back-end systems for banks and other financial entities. But as time passed, more and more innovation happened, range of applications increased and Fintech has now taken the front seat of the mainstream business where today, millions of consumers and businesses are using various forms of fintech in their daily financial transactions, usually via a smartphone. So here the gist of how fintech is being used in 2020, along with some of its traditional uses.
Mobile Payments
21st Century is leading by mobile and globally the number of mobile users is increasing. If you look at the facts then With 5.11 billion unique mobile users worldwide, it’s not surprising that global mobile payment transactions will be worth over $1 trillion in 2019. By 2023, that figure is expected to exceed US$4.3 trillion.
If you try to observe the current payment pattern, then at least 64% of smartphone users have used their mobile phone to transfer payment or any kind of financial transaction that includes apple pay, Google Wallet, Paypal, UPI services, etc. These Fintech service providers constantly improve their products and services to serve better to customers.
In fact, you can say that Fintech is helping us all to move towards a cashless society. Check out some of the Top-notch mobile payment offerings
Here are quick stats by Statista about How the mobile payment services are used in U.S

Stock-Trading Apps
In the 1940s no one would have imagined that money can be associated with so many forms like Stock trading to Cryptocurrency and what not. This is the time where stock trading platforms are using digital robotics-based financial advisors to answer the customer about their investment even if they can predict the future by every microsecond as per the market’s situation.
If you look into the past or ask any of the investors then they will tell you that they need to physically go to the stock exchange establishments in order to buy/sell stocks or scripts. Today, the stock trading solutions allow anyone to easily trade stocks at the flick of a finger on their smartphones from anywhere around the corner.
Robotics advising made it like that that it works on specific smart algorithms and other smart calculations that Financial advisers can analyze numerous portfolio options more efficiently, 24/7, simultaneously. No wonder, an increasing number of Robo-advising services continue to emerge.
Another popular and highly innovative fintech contribution is the invention of stock-trading apps.
With cheaper and low-minimum stock-trading apps in the market, investing had never been easier. Thanks to these fintech innovations, making those stock-trading apps can now be done anywhere, without any budgetary constraints.
Budgeting Assitance Applications
Remember there’s one time when our parents were used to sitting once in a month with stacks of bills, future plans, grocery, health policy etc. and trying to figure out how they’ll be allocated funds to react to things. Nowadays all this is just history.
Thanks to budgeting applications that monitor our daily, weekly, monthly expense and plan our budget accordingly to the needs more efficiently. Budgeting apps and fintech apps working like a tag team when it comes to serving the best to consumers.
One of the most common uses of fintech in 2019 is budgeting apps for consumers, which have grown exponentially in popularity over the last few years.
Blockchain and Cryptocurrency
61% of high-profile digital companies worldwide are investing in blockchain, according to a report by identity management firm Okta shared with Cointelegraph on April 2. San Francisco-based enterprise identity provider Okta has released a survey on new trends in technological developments and business opportunities of the world’s largest companies.
In its first “Digital Enterprise Report,” Okta surveyed 1,050 IT, security and engineering decision-makers from global companies with at least $1 billion in revenue. Okta explained that decision-makers were defined as someone at the company who is “responsible for making technology purchasing decisions.”
cryptocurrency and the very famous Blockchain technology helped financial transactions faster and very much secure by days in going. Some cryptocurrency trading platforms include Coinbase, Robinhood, Cash App, Gemini, and Binance.
AI Virtual Assistants
Rise of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has opened new opportunities for every industry and it can be especially helpful for Fintech. AI and digital banking have led to the banks improving their services and offerings in the field of mobile banking. With AI users mobile experience and access to financial services from any financial institution is rapidly increasing and has become so easy as well.
Crowdfunding Platforms
Crowdfunding platforms have the ability to send or receive money from any users around the globe. It allows businesses or any individuals to pool funding from a variety of sources all in the same place. Now it’s possible to go straight to the investors to support a startup or Idea. And while their applications range from family and friends funding to fan and patron funding, the number of crowdfunding platforms have multiplied over the years.
There are many more included in the list whether its Insurance or Payment Gateways, Digital Lending, and Credit card, etc. The matter of fact is that there’s one simple question bugging around anyone’s mind.
But a million-dollar question, who uses fintech?
Who are the other users of fintech? And how is fintech being used in different ways?
Check your smartphone and honestly tell me how many fintech apps are installed in that genius piece of machinery you own? Is it a Banking app, Budgeting App, Stock trading app, Currency Monitoring app or a digital payment application? There are many players in the league who use fintech in their business.
Consumers
B2C for small businesses
B2B for banks
Bank’s business clients
Enough of sci-fi names. Let’s dig in a little deeper to understand the crux of it.
1. B2C (Business to Client)
The range of clients for fintech is rising very vast. Applications like PayPal, Venmo and Apple Pay, Google Pay allow clients or consumers to transfer money via the internet or mobile technology, and budgeting apps like Mint allow customers to manage their finances and expenses.
The Banking industry is paying its focus on B2C B2C applications like transferring payment to pay bills.
2. B2B (Business to Business)
Before the existence of fintech, traditional businesses went to the banks and asked for loans and financial services. But thanks to the revolutionary innovation in the field of fintech, businesses can easily avail loans, financing, and other financial services through mobile & web technology. On top of that, cloud-based platforms and even customer-relationship management services like Salesforce (CRM) — Get Report provides B2B services that allow companies to interact with financial data to help improve their services.
What’s the Catch? Why do you require a Stock Trading App?
More and more people have started trading and investing online nowadays due to easy accessibility. It is more feasible to not rent/buy an office for modern-day brokers since their clients have started opting for a portable solution.

Find My Trade
A startup company came up with an idea of bringing in all the Trade Advisors together within a common platform for them in order to share their knowledge as well as guide traders (old and new). They named the platform ‘FindMYTrade’
But one of the major challenges was to make the platform engaging for its users. Unlike other social sharing platforms, this wasn’t a content sharing or video sharing platform for entertainment purposes but an entirely information-centric platform. So, making it addictive enough for users to stay hooked onto the app was already challenging.

Bitcoin's third mining reward is certainly halved, will the price tag on the gold coin soar or collapse? Professionals say
Although the Tokyo Olympics continues to be postponed because of the new coronavirus (COVID-19, often called Wuhan pneumonia), the same 4-12 months Bitcoin "mining reward halving" has not been affected. This main event in the cryptocurrency field is as expected today (12) Officially released in the early morning hours.

This is actually the third mining incentive halving because the launch of Bitcoin. In other words, starting from today, when miners obtain Bitcoin, no more than one-eighth of the original Bitcoin launch. At first, miners were compensated with 50 bitcoins inside a data block, however the latest halving reduced it to 6.25 bitcoins. Since the prize halving will reduce the result of Bitcoin and at exactly the same time affect the determination of miners to keep mining, the purchase price will often rise sharply within a certain time frame. Within twelve months after the 1st reward halving, the price tag on Bitcoin increased 90 moments within twelve months, achieving $1,180 at once; within twelve months after the 2nd halving, the price once rushed from $600 to a top of $2,800. Affected by the epidemic, will Bitcoin rise or drop? The halving this time is even more special. The planet is currently becoming attacked by Wuhan pneumonia, and the market is becoming more unpredictable. Moreover, weighed against the past two halvings, the cryptocurrency marketplace has become elderly, and it may possibly not be easy to repeat the simple scripts of decreased supply and increased prices before. At this time when the world is turbulent due to the epidemic, Bitcoin is considered like gold, a significant device for storing value and avoiding risks. Shutterstock Since 2020, the price tag on Bitcoin has grown by nearly 40%. However, just before the halving, the purchase price dropped by more than 10% through the peak last Weekend, and the existing price is about US$8,714. Ryan Watkins, an analyst at Messari, a cryptocurrency data platform, believes that the economic turmoil due to Wuhan pneumonia is likely to be one of the obstacles to Bitcoin's price increase after the reward halving. However, there are also views that currently of social turmoil, in conjunction with the implementation of quantitative easing policies in various countries to induce the economic climate, Bitcoin is becoming one of the better tools for keeping value and hedging dangers. For example, Grayscale Investments, a digital asset management company, disclosed that in the first one fourth of 2020, the quantity of customer expense exceeded US$500 million, an archive high. After the incentive is halved, specialists: Bitcoin costs may fall first and then rise. The CEO of IOV Labs, the growth agency of the RSK smart contract system for Bitcoin, Saldivar (Diego Gutierrez Zaldivar) claimed that although a decrease in supply will generate the price tag on Bitcoin up, more A variety of cryptocurrency products may still possess ways to maintain prices down in a short period of time, like the Bitcoin futures released by the Chicago Mercantile Swap (CME) as well as the Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE) in Dec 2017. Changpeng Zhao, CEO of Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency investing platform, mentioned that although traditional conditions may not predict the future direction, people's mental expectations of cost increases will nevertheless push the price tag on Bitcoin to rise. ?Because the cost of producing Bitcoin is one If the price is lower than the expected determine, the miners will not be willing to sell.?? Some think that miners need to replace equipment following the reward is halved, which may cause the price of Bitcoin to decline for a while. Shutterstock Digital asset investment platform CoinShares strategy chief Meltem Demirors thinks that in the short term, to be able to purchase more innovative mining equipment, miners may choose to clear a few of their bitcoins on hand, resulting in a decline in prices following the halving . However, in the long run, De Mills is still optimistic concerning the development of Bitcoin price. He thinks that within the next 12 to 1 . 5 years, the price tag on Bitcoin will grow significantly set alongside the present.

The investment organization Pantera's figures are usually even more optimistic. CEO Dan Morehead estimated that the peak price of Bitcoin might achieve $115,212. He admitted that although this quantity seems absurd, it talks about days gone by. At high prices, it really is just like absurd.

View: The price of Covid freedom may be eternal spying
New Post has been published on https://apzweb.com/view-the-price-of-covid-freedom-may-be-eternal-spying/
View: The price of Covid freedom may be eternal spying
By Andy Mukherjee
Much of our pre-coronavirus lives may be reclaimable with some modifications around how we work, socialize and travel. In one crucial way, though, the post-pandemic landscape will be very different: The individual’s autonomy over her data may be lost forever. Our mobiles will keep us safe — by spying on us.
This will have important consequences for the relationship not just between citizens and governments, but also between consumers and businesses.
Blame the coming end of privacy on success. South Korea and Taiwan have won acclaim for flattening the Covid-19 curve by digitally tracking infected persons. As my colleague Anjani Trivedi described in March, no government was using dispersed databases as extensively to fight the spread of the disease as Seoul. Before an explosive outbreak in its worker dormitories, Singapore earned praise for TraceTogether, which claims to be the first Bluetooth contact-tracing app covering an entire nation. The 1.4 million users represent roughly a fourth of the island’s population.
It hasn’t gone unnoticed that enthusiastic adapters of such software are in East Asia where, as MIT Sloan School of Management professor Yasheng Huang and others note, “a collectivist spirit may encourage civic-minded embrace of and a more willing compliance with governments’ infection control.”
But while cultural differences can help explain the beginning, the end game may be more universal: power and profit. Safely restarting economies will require governments to restore trust in people mingling in factories, offices, cafes and trains. It can supposedly be done with data more granular than what can be obtained from cellphone networks. Hence states want access to phones, with or without informed consent. Turning the clock back will be hard, if not impossible.
Take India’s Aarogya Setu, or Bridge of Health, Covid-19 contact-tracing app. It’s got privacy warriors worried because the country lacks a data protection framework. Among other things, activists want the government to ensure that “any data collected in an external server is designed to be deleted and that it won’t be integrated with other databases,” according to a working paper by the New Delhi-based Internet Freedom Foundation. For now, there are only assurances that the app will wither away once the outbreak is contained, but no legal guarantees.
The Singaporean app records physical proximity in an anonymized form on smartphones. Minimal data is stored on servers. Only if a user falls sick are his contacts tracked and alerted. Given that it’s been less than two years since the revelation that Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong’s health records were hacked, I’d hesitate to brand the experiment as foolproof. But it’s at least a voluntary exchange. India’s app is anything but. As the country tentatively reopens after a 43-day lockdown, it’s been made mandatory — first for public-sector employees and now for private-sector workers. Company bosses are liable to ensure their workers download the app, though nobody is accountable for misuse of data.
TraceTogether’s building blocks are in the public domain. The source code of Aarogya Setu is yet to be opened. The Indian government recently denied a French security researcher’s claim that the privacy of 90 million Indians is at stake. Hours later, the so-called ethical hacker who goes by the name of Elliott Anderson tweeted that five people were feeling unwell in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s office.
Where boundaries between private and public are thin to begin with, a pandemic can make them disappear. A New York Times analysis of China’s Alipay Health Code software, which mixes a cocktail of data to color-code a person’s health status, found that some information is shared with the police. The digital prowess of Alibaba Group Ltd. or its rival, Tencent Holdings Ltd., has no match in India. But firms are eager to harness the online footprints of the country’s 1.3 billion people. Covid-19 might give those plans a fillip.
Just as the Sept. 11 attacks irrevocably shrank personal freedoms as security-at-all-costs became a policy driver, Covid-19 will erode privacy in the name of public health. The potential market is immense for instruments far more intrusive than Big Brother’s telescreens. Richard Brooks, a computer engineering professor at Clemson University in South Carolina, told Bloomberg News: “If the ability to track social contacts exists to stop a contagion, I can guarantee you it will be used to track the spread of dissent.”
An Israeli court verdict that banned Shin Bet, the internal security agency, from using its Covid-19 tracking app shows the discomfort societies have with handing over a shiny, new lever of control to governments. Europe’s data protection laws will try to ensure that the emergency collection and processing of personal information is conducted with accountability, and for a limited purpose. The British parliament’s human rights committee says it isn’t convinced that the National Health Service’s proposed tracing app protects privacy.
Tracing in Korea went overboard in the early days, when the authorities released so much data that anonymous patients became identifiable — and got harassed. A strong data protection law forced Korea to limit disclosure.
The bottom line: Where they exist, robust institutions could still offer resistance. In most other places, the individual’s autonomy has already become a virus casualty. Poorer countries where consumers have only recently started going online will see states insist on devices that come with pre-loaded tracking apps. More information will reside on central servers than epidemiologists have asked for or need. But who will stop the juggernaut?

COVID-19 diaries from Wuhan: Surrounded by walls of glass

The following post is the eleventh in a series of diaries written by independent filmmaker and feminist scholar Ai Xiaoming and feminist activist Guo Jing. Both are living in Wuhan at the initial center of the COVID-19 pandemic. Here are the links to the first, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth part of the series. Check out Global Voices’ special coverage of the global impact of COVID-19. This installment was written between March 11 and March 14, 2020. The original Chinese diaries are published on Matter News.
Guo Jing: March 11, 2020
People keep sharing the article “The whistleblower” today, and we have it in different languages: English, Japanese, Vietnamese, braille, oracle bone script, Hexadecimal code, Morse code, and blank verison with no word… This is a collective work of art in the lockdown, like a world wonder. People are not only forwarding the article itself, but their emotions — their anger towards censorship, their respect towards the whistleblowers, and their insistence on speaking out.
[Editors Note: “The whistleblower” is an interview with Dr. Ai Fen who was the first person to distribute the lab report on the novel coronavirus. The article was quickly taken offline by government web censors and people started distributing the posts in different language versions to circumvent the censors.]
Ai Xiaoming: March 11, 2020
My diary about the Wuhan lockdown is not that lucky. Two of them were deleted one after another. I have submitted more than 10 articles using my Wechat public account, but half of them have failed to publish. I have opened three blogs, and all of them have been taken offline. Some of my articles did not even survive one night. I don't expect them to get a lot of attention, but what's the point of spending day after day writing and uploading articles that won't even survive online? I have a small balcony at home. I usually keep the glass door between the balcony and the living room open. One day, I was not aware that door was closed and bumped onto it. The result? I stumbled five steps back, held my head and moaned. This is how I feel every day when I struggle with my Wechat public account. Even if you are courageous you are surrounded by walls made of glass. You try smashing through them, but they are always there.

Before the lockdown, I would sometimes go camping or hiking. I enjoyed being surrounded by birds, flowers and nature. But now when I hear birds singing in the morning, I am not in the mood to enjoy it anymore. Yesterday someone initiated group buying from Kentuckey Fried Chicken. It was tempting. However, I still have some vegetables at home. It would be a pity if they were to rot so I decided to eat the vegetables first.
Guo Jing: March 14, 2020
My friend added me to an online group where people share the most up-to-date traffic information and their experience of “leaving” Hubei Province. Aside from Wuhan, some cities and counties in Hubei Province hae started to loosed their control. Many people cannot wait to leave, because they want to return to work or to reunite with their families and friends. Some people just want to leave. Of course, there are people planning to come back to Hubei Province, too. However, many train stations do not sell tickets coming into the Hubei area. If we want to leave, we need to have a pass and a health certificate. However, every city, county and village has their own set of rules regarding people's mobility. Some pass holders are only allowed to move inside the city. Some pass holders can take the intercity buses. Some pass holders are allowed to drive their cars on the highways to leave the province. Even if we leave Hubei Province, whether we can enter another province or city is still in question. People need to obtain a certificate issued by a business unit or a residential district to enter a province or city. Some provinces do not recognize the green code (healthy code) on Alipay. Some people can drive on the highways, but they are not allowed to leave the highways when they arrive at their destinations. Several people in the group have had this kind of experience when they went to Jiangxi, Sichuan, and Chongqing. They are forced to drive back. Some places allow people to enter, but they needed to be quarantined for 14 days. Wenzhou, Taizhou, and Guangzhou request centralized quarantine, and people need to pay a RMB 300 yuan (US$ 42.5 dollars) quarantine fee per day. Dongguan and Hangzhou also request centralized quarantine for 14 days, but their governments pay for the quarantine. If there is no standardized policy, it is difficult to plan ahead for travel. People have pay for the cost of trial and error. Last night when I went to bed, at around 12, there was some noise in the hallway. I had difficulty falling asleep because of the noise. This morning at around 7, I woke up to the sounds of doors opening in the hallway. Before the lockdown, the metro station near my community was being renovated. The construction was very noisy at night, but I was not affected. Now my sensory organs are hyperactive in search for external information, and it is difficult to turn them off. A friend in Shanghai told me that she always hears the sounds of ambulances after someone in her area turns out to be COVID-19 positive.

Blockchain Tech Leads the Charge in UAE’s Coronavirus Fight
A number of international blockchain-based solutions have taken up the challenge of preventing further outbreaks in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is the most recent country to propose solutions reliant on a distributed database.
As reported by the Emirates News Agency on March 25, the UAE’s Ministry of Community Development (MOCD) has begun using digital channels to provide government services.
MOCD’s “stay-at-home” priority
The MOCD would be relying on the use of digital identity through blockchain-based systems and chat systems for the digital authentication of official certificates and other documents. This removes the need for users to leave their homes.
So far, according to local media, the implemented blockchain system is capable of processing 2,919 types of documents, which would allow the ministry to regulate the flow of customers.
On this measure, Hessa Essa Buhumaid, UAE’s Minister of Community Development, said the following:
“This step confirms the ministry’s commitment to ensure the continuity and flexibility of all government services in light of the directives of the smart government to reduce the spread of COVID-19.”
These services are being offered through the ministry and smart application’s official website.
Blockchain as a solution in other countries amid the crisis
In other countries, companies have begun incorporating blockchains into their coronavirus solutions as well.
Alipay, along with the Zhejiang Provincial Health Commision and the Economy and Information Technology Department, launched a blockchain-based platform that enables users to trace the demand and the supply chains of medical supplies in the midst of the pandemic crisis.
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) published on March 19 some guidelines to contain the coronavirus pandemic, listing blockchain-based managers in food and agricultural distribution. The DHS stressed that such list aims to help local government to mantain services active across the country, amid the COVID-19 crisis that triggered shutdowns in eight states.
Cointelegraph also reported on March 14 that the Italian Red Cross and the Colli Albani Committee were raising donations using bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. This was accomplished with the help of blockchain startup, Helperbit. The money raised is now being used to build pre-triage medical posts.
window.fbAsyncInit = function () { FB.init({ appId: '1922752334671725', xfbml: true, version: 'v2.9' }); FB.AppEvents.logPageView(); }; (function (d, s, id) { var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0]; if (d.getElementById(id)) { return; } js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id; js.src = "http://connect.facebook.net/en_US/sdk.js"; js.defer = true; fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs); }(document, 'script', 'facebook-jssdk')); !function (f, b, e, v, n, t, s) { if (f.fbq) return; n = f.fbq = function () { n.callMethod ? n.callMethod.apply(n, arguments) : n.queue.push(arguments) }; if (!f._fbq) f._fbq = n; n.push = n; n.loaded = !0; n.version = '2.0'; n.queue = []; t = b.createElement(e); t.defer = !0; t.src = v; s = b.getElementsByTagName(e)[0]; s.parentNode.insertBefore(t, s) }(window, document, 'script', 'https://connect.facebook.net/en_US/fbevents.js'); fbq('init', '1922752334671725'); fbq('track', 'PageView'); Source link

DHS Names Blockchain Managers” Among “Critical Infrastructure” Workers
A memorandum published by the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) has named “blockchain managers” among the nation’s “essential critical infrastructure” workers.
On March 19, the DHS’ Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) published a memo emphasizing the “special responsibility” of workers within a “critical infrastructure industry” to maintain normal working schedules amid the intensifying coronavirus lockdown.
Blockchain named alongside healthcare and pharma as “critical infrastructure industries”
The document names blockchain managers alongside healthcare, pharmaceuticals, and food supply as “critical infrastructure industries.”
The inclusion of blockchain managers on CISA’s list may indicate the DHS’s recognition of the potential for distributed ledger technologies (DLT) to be employed in coronavirus relief efforts.
The role of blockchain technology in responding to the coronavirus threat
In China, blockchain technology has been deployed in more than 20 applications, contributing to government efforts to contain the spread of COVID-19. These include applications which manage and track health records, medical supplies, and medical data.
Private-public initiatives involving blockchain have also proven effective, such as Alipay’s DLT platform, which allows charitable donations to be tracked by the public.
In Hong Kong, insurers have looked to DLT as a way to streamline the paperwork processes surrounding medical claims, with Ant Financial launching a ‘collective-claims’ platform to speed-up processing times.
