Beau Morris – From Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He’s an offensive lineman from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. During his senior year in 2021, Saw action in nine games, making six starts... Hayden Pittman – From Spanish Fort, Alabama. Alivia Ash – From Merrillville, Indiana. She’s a Track and Field runner from the University of Louisville Cardinals. In 2020 she Competed in five meets during the indoor season… Cleared a season-high 1.73m/5’08 in the high jump at the ACC Indoor Championships for a third place finish, earning first team All-ACC honors… Finished second in the high jump at the Gene Edmonds Open and Notre Dame Invitational.

Kevin Venturas Cortes – From Anaheim, California. Tight End from CSP, Concordia St. Paul in 2021 NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence honors ... led the team's tight ends in total receptions (10) and reception yards (64) … played in 10 games while starting five … had at least one reception in 5 games. His twitter account is so special. KVCortes7. He has a pinned video of Triple H making him an offer to go to Orlando to train at the Performance Center. Then the shot goes to the bus with everyone on the list, calling his loved one, at a loss for words but telling whoever is on that call that he got the contract. The video of his introduction into NXT and followed up with the words Arriva y Adelante which translates to onward. Representation Matters.

She is already a queen and we haven’t seen her perform yet.

Chukwusom Enekwechi - From Queens, New York. Another standout from Eastern Michigan University. He is a shot put guy. He throws stones. Here are his stats. Im impressed. Alfa magazine did a cover story about her. She says “I originally come from a background of Serbian-Croatian descent. Born in the Balkans during war, my family fled to Canada in order to seek a stable living environment.”

She’s been training karate for 20 years and have currently been on the National team for 10 of those years. She won the Karate Commonwealth Championships. "It was a tough year overall in competition for me, and one of the largest competitions was coming up (Commonwealth Games). Before travelling to South Africa to compete, I fell short of medal rounds in 3 competitions prior to the Commonwealth championships".

Já passa de duas horas da madrugada e eu não consigo me entregar ao sono. Minha cabeça está cheia de nós que não me deixarão em paz até serem desatados. A maioria deles tem o teu nome. Parece que eu não vou conseguir te superar até que a confusão que a nossa história mal resolvida virou seja desembaraçada. annoyed that sammy nominated me because i kept him safe last week whereas i could have just as easily flipped to keeping alivia and he could've left...but more than that, i'm annoyed at his speech. i dont think he should've used "you nommed me" as an excuse bc that's lame and he was the first to nom me and i nommed him back so we were even, and then i let him have veto pick when he was nommed and i made sure he got taken off. also conversation is a two way street and i dont see him trying to make a conversation with me either, he could have just said the real reason....i love hearing about how good of a player he thinks i am.... the worst case scenario is if bryce or zeezo win, i think even if the noms stay the same that i have a good chance of staying? granted that autumn and ali don't decide to turn on me and evict me

ive made a lot of mistakes this game and there all coming at me now.. my position in the game is terrible and i can blame it on ppl playing not to their win condition or on just the wrong ppl winning comps at the wrong time, but ultimately i could have tried harder convincing ppl to see the light or to do better in challenges so ultimately its on me. feeling really hopeless this week even tho i avoided being a preveto nom i think ill be a post one if literally anyone but me wins veto. and i flopped veto (cwl). i cant wait for after the game for ali to admit that he did tell me that ashvika pushed for sammy to be nommed. order in which id vote ppl zeezo- always worked with me and if she makes it to the end she truly DID THAT ashvika- really took control of the game with her hoh win and after jose left smartly picked up the goats and became the biggest threat randy- a king love us working with/against each other throughout the game and even tho he was voted out im not one to discredit buyback winners autumn- never spoke to me but guess she didnt need to KASDHFK ali- fakest person ive ever met dennis- knows how to get to f2 at least sammy- ignores obvious facts and always makes the wrong move but good at comps so wooh (me teas too tho...)

okay i have lots of post finale thoughts but i need to type them up tomorrow. i just hope the jury knows how sorry I am if I ever upset them, because I love them all so much and would never want that :(

time for my post finale wrap up and.... whewie. This is so upsetting because, I just did this for all stars. Like it's looking like my track record is LITERALLY going to be 2nd 9th 2nd 2nd 2nd, I CANT COME 2ND AGAIN. I really can't take this. Here is the bigger problem though and this is why Orre will be my last game whether I win or not. I can't keep playing these games when I upset so many people. Like it honestly broke my heart yesterday hearing how much I upset people like Bryce & Ashvika, people I love SOOOOOOO much. I don't want to upset people. Like... what upset me about finale is I don't think the jurors realise that.... I didn't just upset people for the sake of it and ahhh. Honestly, I'm really upset, like not even that I'm coming second but that I upset people. So with that said, I really apologise to the jurors. I got the impression that I hurt you all so bad that you are giving me 2nd as like.... punishment? And while I hate that, if I hurt you all that bad I really owe you all an apology. Anywho, since this is definitely my last game, I've played 183 days worth of games to just come 2nd, and that's just too much. I'm too flawed of a person and player to continue playing these games and just keep coming 2nd. Like it just hurts. so yeah, i'm sad but mainly because this is deja vu. I'm so proud of Dennis for winning, he is such a sweet genuine guy and when he was complimenting me during the finale, it was the nicest thing I've ever heard and I'm so greatful. No matter my game or his, I'd be happy to see Dennis represent our season.

okay so I lost.... and I'm weirdly at peace with it. I know I answered the jury questions terribly and I had... some jurors that would never have it in them to vote for me and would actively campaign against me. Dennis is a king, and in a cast with toxicity and SUCH bitterness, I think he is a phenomenal representation for the season. Otherwise, I am really honoured to get Ashvika's vote, she is such a deserving POTS, and to get POTS' vote is always an honour. Autumn and Jose are amazing friends and I am so happy to have got to work with them, John is a player with SUCH potential and he is WINNING BOTS & Zeezo I'm really honoured to get her vote too! For the others, Bryce is a KING and so is Blake (they both seemed really upset by me so I hope we can be friends). Lynn I never spoke to and seems... very bitter about the season's result, but I hope she gets over it because she is also a QUEEN. Randy is a funny one and I'm starting to worry all his friend talk was just him playing into my emotional side, but he is a good egg really I know it. Sammy is a ghost king. I kinda want to end on Alivia. Alivia is a person whose personality is obviously very different to mine and the way she speaks to me and others really upsets me a lot of the time. However, her bitterness against me is understandable and I hope she gets over it, because she defines herself by anger and bitterness when she is such a funny and likable person and doesn't need to do that. but woo... to wrap stuff up, I'm so grateful for Nicholas & Julia for casting me, Owen & Emily for being amazing.... OH, I forgot what I wanted to say. Autumn is a queen, a legend and amazing. She is honestly soo soo amazing, like... someone I really admire and see as a rolemodel? she is inspirational, a queen and a legend. Dennis is the nicest, most well intentioned guy ever SO sweet and really just a genuinely nice guy. I have made lasting friendships with some members of this cast and I'm so happy. so yeah.... i'll probably do another one of these in like a day or so, but if not.... ali out woo

Por que Obama reduziu a pena de Chelsea Manning, a militar que vazou documentos dos EUA ao Wikileaks - BBC - A Notícia do Dia

Ela protagonizou um dos maiores vazamentos de documentos secretos na história dos Estados Unidos e, por isso, foi condenada a 35 anos de prisão.

Mas Chelsea Manning, a ex-soldado transgênero de 29 anos que divulgou informações diplomáticas e militares americanas ao site Wikileaks, não mais terá de ficar presa até 2045.

O presidente americano, Barack Obama, aliviou na terça-feira sua sentença, uma possibilidade que havia sido indicada pela Casa Branca nos últimos dias. Manning será libertada daqui a quatro meses, em 17 de maio.

No entanto, a comutação da pena de Manning foi duramente criticada por políticos republicanos, como o presidente do Comitê de Serviços Armados da Câmara, Mac Thornberry, e do Senado, John McCain, que disseram que os atos de “espionagem” de Manning colocaram em perigo a vida de soldados americanos e o próprio país.

O presidente do Congresso, o também republicano Paul Ryan, disse estar indignado. “O presidente Obama criou um precedente perigoso para aqueles que colocam em perigo nossa segurança nacional e não precisarão responder por seus delitos.”

A decisão teria sido tomada por Obama mesmo diante da oposição de seu próprio secretário de Defesa, Ash Carter, segundo a rede de TV americana CNN.

Manning foi considerada culpada de 20 das 22 acusações diferentes de que foi alvo em seu julgamento pelo Exército americano.

Ela tinha em sua posse mais de 700 mil documentos e vídeos militares e diplomáticos secretos, inclusive imagens do incidente em que 12 civis morreram após um ataque realizado por um helicóptero americano em Bagdá, no Iraque, contra insurgentes.

Manning também divulgou mensagens entre diplomatas dos Estados Unidos, relatórios de inteligência sobre abusos cometidos por oficiais iraquianos e sobre a manutenção de presos em Guantánamo sem julgamento e registros militares da guerra no Iraque que apontam que as mortes de civis foram mais numerosas do que o divulgado a princípio.

Manning, uma ex-analista de inteligência que atuava no Iraque, afirmou ter vazado esses documentos por considerá-los “preocupantes” e para gerar “debate, discussões e reformas”.

‘Pena excessiva’

A Casa Branca ainda não explicou oficialmente o que levou Obama a comutar sua pena, mas autoridades ligadas ao governo americano ouvidas pela imprensa em condição de anonimato apontaram algumas razões.

Autoridades disseram ao jornal The Washington Post que o presidente americano avaliou que os 35 anos de reclusão de Manning, a maior pena já dada por conta de um vazamento, era “excessiva”. Para Obama, os quase sete anos já cumpridos por ela seriam “uma punição suficiente”.

Autoridades ainda compararam seu caso com o de Edward Snowden, o ex-analista de inteligência que vazou documentos secretos em 2013 e atualmente está asilado na Rússia, dizendo haver uma “diferença fundamental” entre eles.

“Chelsea Manning aceitou a responsabilidade pelos crimes cometidos por ela”, afirmou um integrante da Casa Branca ao jornal americano The Washington Post.

“Ela expressou arrependimento por ter cometido esses crimes. Ela está cumprindo a pena que recebeu. A preocupação do presidente está no fato de sua sentença ser mais longa do que as de outros indivíduos que cometeram crimes semelhantes.”

Por sua vez, Snowden “se eximiu da culpa, fugiu do país e está se escondendo para não ser julgado”, disse à CNN uma fonte próxima ao governo.

Em novembro, Obama afirmou ao jornal alemão Der Spiegel: “Não posso perdoar alguém que não se apresentou diante de uma corte”.

O secretário de imprensa Josh Earnest ainda ressaltou que Snowden “não havia feito qualquer solicitação de clemência ao governo atual”.

Por sua vez, em seu pedido de comutação de pena enviado à Casa Branca, Manning argumentou ter se declarado culpada e não ter recorrido aos benefícios que essa atitude confere a um acusado por acreditar na época que a Justiça militar americana compreenderia seus motivos e a puniria de acordo.

“Eu estava errada”, afirma ela no documento, para em seguida dizer nunca ter imaginado que receberia uma sentença tão “extrema” e sem qualquer “precedente histórico”.

Nos poucos casos de vazamento já julgados, destaca o jornal americano The New York Times, as sentenças variaram entre um a três anos de prisão.

Em uma conferência por telefone com jornalistas, relata o jornal britânico The Guardian, uma autoridade da Casa Branca disse diversas vezes que os crimes cometidos por Manning eram “sérios” e que “geraram danos à segurança nacional”, mas se recusou a classificá-la como “traidora”.

Manning foi inocentada da mais grave acusação feita contra ela, de ter “ajudado o inimigo”, um crime que pode ser punido com pena de morte ou prisão perpétua.

Transgênero

A ex-soldado foi presa em 2010 do lado de fora de uma base americana em Bagdá, quando ainda se identificava como Bradley Manning.

Ela revelou ser uma mulher transgênero após sua condenação e disse que enfrentava dificuldades por conta do seu transtorno de identidade de gênero na época dos vazamentos.

Em uma reportagem sobre o tema, o The New York Times acrescenta que a decisão “alivia o Departamento de Defesa da difícil responsabilidade relativa à prisão de Manning e seu tratamento para transtorno de gênero, incluindo uma cirurgia de readequação sexual, que o Exército não tem experiência em fornecer”.

Após uma ação na Justiça, o Exército permitiu que Manning fizesse parcialmente sua transição para viver como mulher, o que inclui um tratamento com hormônios e o uso de roupas íntimas femininas e maquiagem, algo inicialmente negado a ela.

Mas ainda não foi permitido que use o cabelo mais longo do que os padrões estabelecidos para homens, por “razões de segurança”, ou que se consulte com um cirurgião para alterar seu sexo.

A diretora da Anistia Internacional nos Estados Unidos, Margaret Huang, elogiou a redução de sua pena. “Chelsea Manning expôs abusos sérios e, como resultado, teve seus próprios direitos humanos violados por anos pelo governo americano.”

Ao ser detida, Manning foi mantida na solitária por quase um ano antes de ser acusada formalmente, uma experiência que ela diz ter sido “humilhante”.

O relator especial da ONU para tortura disse que o tratamento conferido a ela foi “cruel, desumano e degradante”.

A ex-soldado tentou se matar duas vezes, em julho e novembro do no ano passado e, por isso, foi punida com a solitária novamente.

Perdões

A comutação de Manning levanta dúvidas sobre o destino do fundador do site Wikileaks, Julian Assange, abrigado na embaixada do Equador em Londres desde 2012. No ano passado, Assange disse que aceitaria ser extraditado e julgado nos Estados Unidos pelo vazamento de informações sigilosas caso Manning fosse perdoada.

A Casa Branca afirmou que o caso de Assange não teve qualquer influência sobre a decisão em relação a Manning.

A decisão sobre ela fez parte de um conjunto de 209 comutações de pena e 64 perdãos concedidos por Obama na terça-feira. Esses atos de clemência são um poder absoluto conferido a todo presidente e não podem ser desfeitos por seus sucessores.

A comutação da pena implica apenas na redução da sentença e, diferentemente do perdão, não extingue as consequências legais da condenação, como o veto à participação em júris federais e, a nível estadual, a votar ou portar armas de fogo. Em nenhum dos dois casos, o condenado passa a ser considerado inocente.

“Esses 273 indivíduos entenderam que nossa nação é uma nação que perdoa, onde o trabalho duro e o comprometimento com a reabilitação podem levar a uma segunda chance, em que os erros do passado não privam um indivíduo da oportunidade de seguir em frente”, disse o conselheiro da Casa Branca Neil Eggleston.

Em seus dois mandatos, Obama encurtou a sentença de 1.385 presos federais, mais do que todos os últimos 12 presidentes americanos juntos.

O secretário de imprensa John Earnest disse que novas decisões nesse sentido devem ser divulgadas no último dia de Obama no cargo, em 20 de janeiro.
