Once she’s in her room, she slams the door and slides down it, sobs leaving her mouth. Her body shakes in effort to release all of the emotions she’s feeling. A hand clasps over her mouth in vain to keep her quiet but anyone within a 20 feet radius of her door would be able to hear her. Suddenly the necklaces that decorate her neck feel suffocating and she blindly claws at her neck. Her nails catch on the diamond “S” her dad gave her for her twentieth birthday and she rips it away from her body as if it’s burning her. It clatters on the floor, sliding across the room but it’s not enough. She stumbles to stand and stomps her heel down on the charm as hard as she can. Cracking and crunching combine with her sobs to create the saddest song she’s heard in a long time.

Finally satisfied that she’s destroyed the charm, she kicks the pile of ruined jewelry and drags herself to her closet. A black hard-shell suitcase is yanked off the top shelf and she begins to shove whatever clothes she can into it. The tears make it difficult for her to see what exactly she’s packing but a part of her knows that she’ll either buy new clothes or James will have all of her belongings brought over. She slams it closed and hauls to overpacked suitcase to her bed. In her haste, she doesn’t hear the knock at the door or the following sound of it opening. Rifling through her night stand drawers, the person who entered takes a seat in a corner chair she only keeps to throw clothes on when she’s trying to decide an outfit. 

“Fuck!” she yells to herself when she can’t find the pistol she keeps hidden in her nightstand. 

“You father said you’d go looking for that so I had his men take it,” the person says from the corner. 

She whips around to see James sitting with his ankle on his knee, that very pistol resting in his lap. 

“Glad to know you went through my panty drawer before agreeing to kidnap me.”

“First of all no one went through your panty drawer. Second you father had someone take it and lastly I’m not kidnapping you. You don’t have to come with me if you don’t want to. The decision is yours.” 

“Yeah right. I stay here and my father risks losing his contract and god knowns what will happen to me. I go with you and I’ll be locked away in some bullshit cage for the rest of my life. Sounds like I have some real great options,” she mumbles as she pulls a safe from under her bed. 

“I never said that they were good choices, just that you had them,” James examines the safe, “A safe under the bed seems too predictable doesn’t it, Doll?”

She doesn’t answer him, only rolling her eyes and grabbing out the few documents and jewelry box that sit inside of her predictable safe. Shoving them into her overcoat pocket, she puts her blazer and overcoat back on. At this point, she isn’t sure what the hell else to pack and she doesn’t feel like thinking about it anymore. She grabs her phone charger and shoves that into the purse she left here before storming her father’s office. Next she goes to her own desk on the opposite side of the room from James. 

James tilts his head in observation, making an inventory of the things she’s grabbing:

His list taking is broken by the sound of heels and rolling wheels coming his way. The woman stands in front of him, hand out stretched and asking for the gun he holds. Shaking his head, he stands and slips it into the back of his waistband. 

“I know you’re more than capable to handling your guns but I’m not giving you the chance to prove that,” he chuckles lowly and grabs the rolling suitcase from her. 

“After you, Doll.”

Descending down the stairs that lead into the house, James has a hand placed on the small of her back with her suitcase in his other hand. She keeps her head down, hair creating a barrier from the real world and the one she’s trying to construct in her head. Her father is standing at the bottom of the stairs and in the way of the car door. Steve is talking to him, keeping him occupied so James and her can get into the car quickly. James stops to hand the bag off to one of his men and gently nudges her away so she can slip in before her father stops her. 

“Where is my goodbye hug, darling?” Mr. Stark exclaims with his arms wide open, daring her to make a move. 

Sighing, she grabs the gun James tucked in his waistband earlier and points it at her father in one movement. 

“Fuck you,” she sneers, leveling the gun and her gaze in between his eyes. She is seconds away from squeezing the trigger but James wraps a hand around her wrist and pulls the gun away from her. 

“Don’t. It won’t make you feel better,” he says to her, passing the gun off to Steve and ushers her into the black SUV. 

The world is blur as she climbs into the middle seat, tears starting to well in her eyes again but she can’t let them see her cry again. James slides into the place next to her and muffled voices can be heard from around the vehicle. The truck opens and her suitcase is tossed in, the conversation becoming clear that Mr. Stark is less than pleased with her ‘goodbye’. Steve is the next to get in on her right side, saying something to James and then to the driver. She stares at her hands, rings staring back at her. Internally she’s hoping that her hair is providing enough cover that no one will notice her tears or the blank expression she’s wearing. 

A hand comes into her view, placing itself on her knee. She knows that it isn’t Steve’s because there isn’t a watch and the signet ring has a “B” engraved on it. She doesn’t hear what James is asking her because she’s too focused on his hand and whether or not she should push it off. It squeezes her knee and she barely steals a glance at him. 

“Do you want me to have someone pick up the rest of your stuff tomorrow?”

She nods. 

“When we get to my house, I’ll have Nat show you around and if you want, you can join us for dinner. You won’t offend me if you choose to just stay in your room.”

She nods again, staring at that “B” signet ring. 

The rest of the drive is silent aside from the occasional comment from one of the men in the car. She doesn’t say a single thing and the signet ring doesn’t leave her view.

“I’m not sure what you want to see today but this is the kitchen. Feel free to take whatever you want,” the red head explains pointing to her right as the two women make their way through the dark industrial house.

“Down there is his office. He has this door policy but he can explain all of that later. Your room is up here,” she leads the quiet woman up the stairs, “His room is over here and this is yours.”

They stop at double black doors and Natasha opens them into a rather simple bedroom. There is a bed centered along the back brick wall, a desk in front of the window with the closet next to the bathroom. There aren’t any decorations, leaving the brick and black walls bare. It feels sterile compared to her old room but she doesn’t believe she’ll be staying in here for much longer. 

“He wanted to leave it as simple as possible so you could change whatever you wanted. Tomorrow some of the guys will go get your stuff so you can make a list or they’ll just pack everything,” Natasha tells her, “he said he already told you but dinner will be at 7 so you can join us or I’ll have someone bring it up for you. He really does want you to feel comfortable given the circumstances.” 

She nods and sets her purse down on the desk. Tossing her suitcase on the bench in front of the bed, she turns to Natasha. 

“Thank you. I think I might just stay here for a while.” 

Natasha offers a sad smile and closes the doors, locking the fallen Stark daughter in her cage. 

She sinks to the floor and draws her knees into her chest as she finally lets out the sob that she’s been keeping in since her father’s house. 

From outside of the door, Natasha’s heart breaks at the sound of her sobs. Expensive shoes hit the stone stairs loudly and draws her attention away from the door. James appears at the top of the stairs, giving her a questioning look. She just shakes her head meeting him and leads him back down the stairs. 

“I would just leave her alone for the night. She isn’t in the mood to handle visitors. And yes I pointed out your office and room if she felt like seeing you,” Natasha answers before he can even ask.

Will Byers, Coming of Age, Transformations, Predators, Queerness & Teen Wolf

There’s one part of the “leaks” that sappicjopper put out that really caught my attention—

And as to not look naïve, yes I am highly aware that these “leaks” are likely fake. However, disregarding the legitimacy of this as a “leak,” it is in itself a compelling idea that does have some legs to stand on as a theory.

So awhile ago I made a post about Will’s coming of age story and how that fits into the horror genre, and how exploring coming of age and sexual awakening through the supernatural is a popular trope.

I wanna point out three films I use in my analysis, Ginger Snaps, Jennifer’s Body, and Black Swan. These films have a lot of things in common, but one aspect I want to point out is there use of physical transformation.

These transformations covers an umbrella of different themes depending on the character, but something that all three of them have in common is sexuality. As all of these women become more sexually liberated, and thereby seen as dangerous by those around them, they fall deeper into these physical transformations. (IE Jennifer and Ginger both eating men after they have sex with them)

In my original post I also discuss how this fear of sexuality, or view of sexuality as something monstrous and predatory, is related to queerness. Both Jennifer Check and Nina Sayers are visibly queer characters in both their respective films.

So what? All of this is very speculative, how do I know that Will is going to go through a similar arc, just because I can relate him to a few movies that I like personally? How do I know that the Duffer’s are going to do something similar? Is there reference to a movie within in the show, that features transformation as an allegory for coming of age and queerness?

Actually, there is.

All credits goes to @chirpsythismorning for their deep dive post into the shows use of the film Teen Wolf, which appears in the show as one of Rick Conroy’s recent rentals as well as the poster in the background of a few shots.

The Freddy Krueger standee, the character who kills people in their dreams whose actor makes a cameo in the show, positioned right over Max’s shoulder should be enough to say that the film references in the background are a lot more than just meaningless references.

Teen Wolf is a 1985 supernatural coming of age movie about a teen named Scott who learns that he is a werewolf.

Within s4 we actually get some parallels between the film and Lucas’ arc— Scott is a basketball player who seeks popularity before embracing who he is and what he really wants. However, I think it’s possible that the film could also be a piece of foreshadowing for Will’s arc in s5.

While Scott is not an explicitly queer character, there is some coding within the film that correlates his lycanthropy with queerness. Remember this is a mainstream teen movie from the 1980’s, if there’s going to be any queerness it’s gonna have to come from subtext, although it is pretty unsubtle.

There’s this very heavy handed scene where Scott confesses to Stiles that he’s a werewolf, and Stiles believes that Scott is coming out to him initially.

There’s also this conversation Scott has with his father that can be read as queer coded.

Or essentially saying, being queer isn’t easy, but it’s not bad either. And then Scott equating his queerness with being a predator, and expects to be hunted as such.

When Scott goes through his first full transformation, it’s right after he played a game of two minutes in heaven with his childhood friend Boof, equating sexuality with his beastlihood.

In s4, there’s a big emphasis on the word predator.

Will’s queerness is an open secret in a town that believed he was “killed by some other queer” and that a group of satanic sodomizers are responsible for murder. I’m willing to bet that that predator label is going to be put onto Will, especially as he begins to come more into his own sexuality.

What would be a literal way to portray this predator title? By having him transform into a predatory creature, just as everyone sees him.

Am I saying Will is going to become a werewolf? Well no, that wouldn’t really make sense with the show. But there is something that may have even been foreshadowed in the show.

How would this transformation even happen? Well, as our “leaker,” or rather, enthusiastic theorist suggests, it has something to do with his connection to the Upside Down, which is progressively leaking more and more into Hawkins. So not a literal zombie, but maybe a zombie like creature that could survive in the Upside Down.

When Vecna was sent through the gate to the UD we saw him go through a physical transformation as he adapted to his environment. This would he a like a speedrun version of that amplified by Will’s own personal connection to the UD (which I believe predates his kidnapping)

It would also serve as a way to highlight the parallels between Vecna and Will, what by having Will physically become similar to him. What better way to show the Vecna/Will mirrors by having Will look in the mirror and see the spitting image of Vecna staring back at him.

Bonus: Scott in Teen Wolf in played by Michael J. Fox, and which character was dressed similarly to a popular Michael J. Fox character in season one?

Initial Thoughts

Okay so I want to put together some more thoughts later but my initial response to the Kenobi series is:

I was pleasantly surprised. I went into this hoping for the best and preparing for the worst.

I have some suspicions and hopes but generally things seem to be off to a good start.

I felt like the writing was a little shaky in the second episode. Leia swinging rapidly from trusting to freaking out over seeing Obi Wan's wanted poster? I don't know... it seemed too plot convenient. She was trusting way too fast and then distrusting way too fast. I'm giving some grace because the convention of the media means that a lot needs to happen in a short amount of time but it kinda bugged me.

The same goes for the Grand Inquisitor causing a distraction at just the right moment for Obi Wan and Leia to escape. Just a little bit too deux ex machina for me. There could have been some really good tension there but it almost feels like the writer('s) got scared and cut themselves off.

Additionally, I do wish that the Anakin/Vader reveal had been more dramatic. I'm not saying it had to be all long and drawn out but if we're going to roll with the idea that Obi Wan still doesn't know after 10 years that Anakin/Vader is alive and is only now going to reach out to try to connect, that should have been a bigger moment. Leia feels pretty fanservicey in just how precocious she is so I feel like we could have gotten a fanservice moment out of the reveal.

But don't get me wrong! I liked a lot of it!!!

I'm fascinated to see where they're going with a lot of these things. I really hope they dig in to exactly what happened to the clone troopers in these ten years. They went through the effort of putting that one veteran in so I'm really hoping they continue. There's a lot of unanswered questions around what happened to the clones and I really hope that scene signals some potential answers.

I'm also interested to see if they continue with the dual Luke/Leia story lines. Obviously I would love to see more of Luke and Obi Wan but this is looking really cool.

I'm curious to see what they're going to do about the fact that Leia doesn't seem to know about Obi Wan in the Original Trilogy but is clearly going on a memorable adventure now. Ten is definitely old enough to remember names and while he introduced himself as Ben, the Third Sister was screeching "OBI WAN" pretty loudly and his name was probably on that wanted hologram thing.

I like the similarities they're pulling between Leia and Padme/Anakin but I hope they don't discredit Breha/Bail as parents. Not just because they're awesome but because they made a point of saying that Leia is a real Organa. Yes, Padme/Anakin are Leia's birth parents but for one reason or another they are unable to raise her so the Organas deserve credit.

20 April 2022: Staying Out Late with Beat Rodeo, Beat Rodeo. (1985 US IRS edition of 1984 German Zensor release)

I wanted this item because my brother got me hot to trot for all things Steve Almaas after giving me Almaas’s 2021 solo album Everywhere You’ve Been for Christmas last year. His purchase of the Almaas album came after an out-of-nowhere revisiting of Beat Rodeo’s debut album, which he’d owned since it was new. This was the band that Minneapolis musician Almaas fronted after spending time in a variety of groups that I discuss on another post here about The Crackers, a one-off band that he fronted.

Proving that US record companies cannot resist fiddling with anything, the IRS label—once the premier US indie label—took Beat Rodeo’s debut, which originally came out in Germany the year prior, and turned it into something quite different than its original guise. The cover art is different, the track sequence is different, and the credits show a different line-up than is credited on the original version (that last part isn’t IRS’s fault; band line-ups do change). I’ve only heard the US version once, but I swear it is significantly remixed, and at times it almost seems like there’s been new bits added in. I need to hear the two versions back to back. 

Above are the front cover, hype sticker (this is a promo copy, so it’s directly on the jacket), and back cover. Note that the hype sticker says “Produced by Richard Gottehrer.” The original version of the album is produced by Don Dixon and Dan Amis. According to credits on the IRS version, Gottehrer only produced the two songs mentioned on the hype sticker, but he’s not mentioned at all on the German version, which does contain both songs, once again suggesting the fiddling about goes well beyond resequencing and new cover art. Whatever the case, by giving them their own hype sticker, IRS was obviously banking on the Gottehrer tinkerings to carry this album.

I always liked the clear inner sleeves used by IRS; before they did it, I’d never seen a clear sleeve like this used to advertise merchandise. Here’s a view of the whole thing, followed by some details of the ads.

I always just chalked it up to bohemian eccentricity that IRS offered posters of an Ed Colver photograph of a bunch of people’s motorcycle boots. Even IRS acknowledges it’s an odd thing, saying “Why is this for sale?” It wasn’t until much later in life that I learned Oki Dogs is the name of a Los Angeles hot-dog stand. Back in the mid-’80s I assumed it was some sort of motorcycle-gang reference.

Another oddity on IRS sleeves was a videotape by The Police. They weren’t on IRS! Those in the know are aware, though, that the label was started by Police drummer Stewart Copeland’s brother Miles, and IRS was distributed for a period of time by A&M Records, The Police’s label.

Next we have side one’s label. I remember vividly when IRS switched from silver-and-maroon labels to this bland brown design. I first saw it on R.E.M.’s Fables of the Reconstruction.

Having shown you the IRS version of the album, let me show some photos of the German original. My brother gave this to me at Christmas 2021 along with Almaas’s new solo album. Neither have appeared on this page before, because I got so behind on posting here that I skipped more than a year of purchases in order to get caught up on January 1 of the current year.

First are the front and back covers. IRS definitely wanted to tone down the cowpoke imagery of the Zensor original for a more moody, new-wave or even hard rock vibe.

Here is the inner sleeve. The other side is plain white. It’s a nice sleeve that has a built-in sort of poly liner. You see that only two members are pictured anywhere here; Almaas is the blonde fellow with the fiddle on the front cover, and Bill Schunk is the brunette with the guitar. Sidemen here are Allan Greller on bass and Peter Moser on drums. By the time the group was signed to IRS, Dan Prater was in the group on bass and Mike Osborn was the drummer. The new members are pictured on the IRS cover even though they don’t play on it (unless, of course, there were new recordings incorporated, which again I have not been able to determine).

Here is the label. This might appear to be the standard Zensor label at first glance, but that little lizard design appears elsewhere on the jacket as part of the album design.

One last note: this album doesn’t seem to be able to decide what it wants to be called or if the band needs a “The.” Here are all of the variations.

“I can’t keep guessing if it’s me,” Bucky whispers as he leans up to ghost his lip over hers, “you want.”

Her eyes flicker down as she tries to come up with something, anything at all to bring his lips back to hers when she settles on the ring that adorns his middle finger. Letting her fingers brush against the metal, she allows herself to think about him, to think about THEM for the first time. The cool ridges chill her fingertips while she fights an inner battle she’s losing rapidly. What little self-control remains dwindles as she becomes more engrossed in the details of his ring. Just as she had let herself look at him and see him, her resolve is falling because she was in the throws of temptation to let him in. Would it be so bad? Would letting him have her the way they both want? Would becoming one be the worst outcome? The sudden movement of his hand when he brings it up to the rest of her chest has her eyes darting to meet him. Tapping begins in time with her heartbeat. Each time her heart beats, the ring lands softly on her chest albeit through the thick material of her worn-out sweatshirt. Having barely escaped, she left with little but the clothes on her back and the few articles she packed. The UCLA sweatshirt, worn and broken in, had engulfed her in comfort but now the tapping of Bucky’s ring replaced it. His other hand draws her in by her neck even though they’re already impossibly close. “Am I the only one you think of?” He asks, his own fears rising to the surface as he feels her pound louder against his hand. She hums in response, eyes focused on his darkening eyes. She repeats his own question and earns a small nod in response however she’s not satisfied. “Prove it,” she challenges. His proof is in the way he pushes off of the window seal to fully embrace her in a kiss of hungry and unspoken devotion. The force of his standing pushes Y/N against the opposite wall and she becomes pinned by his body. Her hands grip onto the front of his shirt while he wanders across her body and under the sweatshirt. When she breaks away for breath, Bucky takes the chance to take off the offending article of clothing and sets to work kissing down her neck. The allure of her blood tempts his self-control and years of practice as he nibbles at the delicate skin. Her moans grow louder however her constant shifting alerts him that something is wrong. “Couch,” she says breathlessly when he leaves her neck to look at her. Nodding, he returns to her lips and backs them off of the wall to sit. He drops first but she’s quick to climb on top of him and takes off her bra in the process. He doesn’t take this display of trust lightly and guides her back to his lips whilst his hands work on her chest. The contrast elicits deeper moans and his name from her as she drops her head against his forehead. Tugging at the hem of his shirt, she gets him to take them off so they’re evenly undressed. He presses soft kisses to her wrist while she takes in the sight of his chest covered in tattoos. Across his torso is an array of kilim symbols, runes, and what looks like various orthodox imagery. Feeling her gaze, he nips at the palm of her hand, effectively drawing her attention back to him. “Later,” he promises as if knowing that her curiosity has been struck. One hand moves to sit on his left shoulder while the other falls to the waist of his pants as her attention goes back to him and pops the button with ease. “Are you sure?” His sudden words freeze her for a second so she can look at him. “Yeah, are you?” “We can’t go back from this.” “I know, I want this, I want you,” she tells Bucky as she slides off his lap to rid herself of her bottoms while he kicks off his pants and boxers. Gripping her by the hips, he has her back in his lap in seconds and the tension is becoming unbearable for him. Their lips crash into each other again, faster and devouring each other this time. He sneaks a hand in between them to feel her wetness and she lets out another heavenly moan much to his enjoyment. His newfound favorite sound rings throughout the room when he slips two fingers inside and his thumb catches her clit. “Bucky please… please.” “Tell me what you want Y/N,” his breath is hot against her ear as she shudders above him, hands gripping tightly on his shoulders. “I want you… fuck I want you.” She whines as he removes his fingers but is quickly replaced with groans when she feels him slide his cock against her slit. “Anything for you,” his voice cracks when he is fully sheathed inside of her. Their chests rise and fall as they get used to the feeling of each other. Nature takes over, causing them to move desperately to reach their highs. The daze from their newfound fondness of each other slows the moment down, allowing them to feel every sensation and react to every emotion they’re feeling. Lust is what fueled their initial interaction but now the need for intimacy and belonging is what drives their actions. Quickened breaths and rising voice volumes make it clear that neither is going to last much longer. That familiar knot tightens in her stomach when he groans her name against her neck. She can feel the sharpness of his fangs against her neck even though he desperately tries to keep them hidden. “Bucky,” her gentle voice fills his ear, making the black veins take their rightful place under his eyes and down his cheeks. Her hands leave his body and find a place in his hair. She calls to him again as she tugs on his hair, “Bucky.” With fluttering eyes, he looks at her in all her glory riding him within an inch of his life and his body threatens to betray him at the sight. Her hair frames her familiar yet foreign features as bliss consumes and sustains her at the same time. The call of her voice is that of an angel’s and in this moment, Bucky has what he thinks is the closest thing to a religious awakening he can imagine; the woman he’s longed after for months asking him to BITE her while he takes her. His brain shortcircuits for a moment and he stares blankly at her with his mouth gaped. To urge him even more, she tosses her head back to expose her neck which forces her chest into his face in the process. “Do it,” she gasps out when he greedily draws her back and prepares her neck with harsh bites. He soothes them with his tongue and sloppy kisses however the marks remain. One particularly painful bite causes her to claw his back and let out a downright filthy sound. Bucky’s resolve finally breaks when she pleads with him one more time and at last he sinks his fangs into her. Feral. Feral is the only word to describe the absolute animalistic desire that takes over him when he finally tastes the sweet nectar that pumps in her veins. The feeling of her life bleeding into him causes the dam of release to break within the both of them. An abundance of emotions wash over them as he feeds from Y/N and fucks up into her; desire, attraction, want with a hint of more but she forces it down. With the growing pace of her hips against his, she does what she can to keep conscious but her eyes start to grow heavy as her moans grow more pornographic. Bucky, on the other hand, fights himself to release her because he knows that soon it’ll be too much. It had happened before. The first time he fed on Celeste he had dipped her too close to the brink of death and he swore to never do such a risky thing again. Sensing her heart slowing to a dangerously still rate, he shoves himself back against the couch and instead watches her with wide eyes. She has her head dipped low, her eyes squeezed shut, and her body is moving in slow fervent motions. Now able to focus on more than his animal hunger, Bucky grips her hips and bucks up into her as they chase their highs together. In a string of Romanian and barely coherent words, they meet their releases at the same time. His chest heaves at the effort and she all but collapses into him. Two tiny streams of blood trail down her clavicle and onto her breasts, smearing where their skin joins. With little energy left, Y/N does nothing to clean it and doesn’t even seem to notice. Bucky does and bites his wrist to offer his own blood to her. She makes a disgusted look, wrinkling her nose and shaking her head at the sight. “Just drink. You’ll feel better.” Bucky nearly has to force her to do as he says but she does regardless and drinks from him as he had her. Within moments, her body regains what it had lost and more, it rejoices in the newfound source of energy. Her heart picks back up and with it, his hunger grows. 

“Good girl,” Alix mocks to herself as she reads over the message from Peggy. A huff comes from the other side of the cot and she looks over to see a disgruntled look on her partner staring at her, arms crossed as they stare at each other. “You praise a Strigoi whore but not your own Lycan?” she questions as she begins to grow self-conscious of her naked body hiding just beneath the worn blanket. Alix rolls her eyes before tossing her phone away to turn her attention back to the woman.   “Isabel,” she whispers to her, lulling her into a false sense of security, “You know you’re my good girl. Let’s forget about all of that and get back to us.” Isabel giggles when Alix descends upon her and Juliette groans from the other side of the room, pulling her pillow further on her head. Although it’s thin, it does what it can to block out the horrendous noises from Alix and Isabel.

Maybe it’s unfair to both of them for him to imagine a whole life together, full of happiness and love, and not even tell her. But who is it more unfair to really? Bucky or Y/N? She’ll never know the life he planned for them, the vacations from heaven, the house that they call home, or the love that is shared between them.  

Who is really suffering here? Bucky or Y/N? She’ll never know the nights slow dancing in the fridge light, the early mornings talking about everything and nothing as the sun comes up, the late nights they stay up trying to catch the other before they fall asleep, or the mid-days spent at the park eating lunch together.

Who’s really hurting here? Bucky or Y/N? She has no idea how much he loves her, how deeply he feels for her, how unexplainably and hopelessly he wants to be able to hold her in his arms.

Who’s really in misery here? Bucky or Y/N? She’ll never know the future that he can see every time he look into her eyes. She’ll never know the joy he feels when he catches a glimpse of her hair. She’ll never know the happiness he feels when he sees that smile or hears that laughter or hears that voice. She’ll never know how much he wishes that they would be wearing matching rings. She’ll never know how much he loves her.

Who’s really in pain here? Bucky or Y/N  because he can’t tell anymore. They all say he’s in just as much pain as her even if she doesn’t want to admit it just yet. They tell him that she and he look at each other in the same way, the longing and sad kind of way. But how can he believe them? There’s no a chance that they belong together in this world or even the next. There’s no a chance that this life will allow them to be together no matter how beautiful their life may be together. This life isn’t cut out for them and he is starting to believe that he’s going to have to be content with loving her from afar no matter the pain. Even after finally having her in the most biblical way possible, Bucky has resigned himself to never fully being able to have and love her the way he wants.

First, an update: I really wanted to post everything I was working on as a big set, but I am tending to my health at the moment unexpectedly and am unable to sit at the computer for a long time at once. This recolor was already done, so since it’s taking me longer than I was hoping to feel better I am posting it today. I have more poster types on the way that I am making from TS4 screen-shops of various musicians that I have tried to create in game and those are still on the way!

A @litttlecakes recolor. No mesh needed thanks to Litttlecakes’ lovely & generous TOU, (thank you so much, @litttlecakes!) but the item (and the amazing set it’s a part of) can be found <HERE>. I thought putting stills from Rock Band 4 onto Sims posters was such a cute idea, they match TS4 so well and I wanted to make more swatches to match the other posters in LC’s set.
