but basically casey did this like, half hour long interview w logan and i really dont know where i stand on it? like i think casey did a decent job of interviewing him, granted he could have gone harder on him but u can always go harder on someone, and i just. on one hand i agree w/ all the stuff logan was saying about how it is possible to learn and grow from past mistakes, and you shouldnt let smeones past define them necessarily, but on the other it seemed like he was doing his damn best to paint himself as a “oh poor me i messed up feel bad for me”. like idk if thats his intention or not but i genuinely can’t tell if hes being legit or not. 

like the whole bit where he was like “theres a difference between being CULTURALLY insensitive and just being plain insensitive”, i mean yeah theres a difference but why nitpick? at the end of the day, you were insensitive, offended a lot of people, and from what i know LOADs of japanese people say that he was culturally insensitive, and i dont think a white dude gets to decide what is and what isnt offensive to japanese culture

he also does this thing where hes like “im just a kid from ohio, im just a kid” and ok while he isnt 35 years old, hes also not a fucking kid. hes 23, a fully grown adult man who SHOULD know how to handle himself. hes not a kid, and i feel like hes pushing that narrative to make people feel bad for him. which is manipulative as hell

i can’t fault him for his reaction after he found the body. that shit is traumatizing and making jokes and laughing is, in my opinion, a perfectly normal coping response. hell, i was cracking jokes about my friend who passed away from suicide not very long after i found out, it was a way to cope. offensive? probably, but i wasn’t in the right mindset and i was doing whatever i could to make myself feel better. it bothers me how much people focus on the “u were laughing therefore ur evil” argument tbh

what i DO fault him for is willingly editing that footage and uploading it to youtube. they could have easily deleted it and then filmed a bit afterwards explaining what happened. i do think he had good intentions deep down somewhere about spreading a good message, but he just did it the completely wrong way

idk, i was talking about this w my friend last night and neither of us know where exactly to land on the whole thing? like i’m not a fan of the pauls, i think theyre obnoxious, self absorbed assholes who are awful role models for children, and i hate that theyre famous, but i also think it would actually be really nice to see someone genuinely learn from their fuck ups and truly become a better person by owning up to their mistakes and not making shitty excuses (like what i feel like logan is doing atm).

Or, the boys end up frozen and wet after a disasterous shoot in the woods. Shane helps Ryan get warm again. a/n:  hey tumblr, its me, ya girl. im alive and kicking and also yet again in another fandom but what else is new. this is just a lil scribble i did to get myself into writing these boys. (also im already planning a longer fic why am i like this) hope you enjoy!!!

It’s raining. It has been raining since they’ve arrived, nearly three hours ago now. The woods are in are supposedly haunted, but after three hours of unrelenting rain they have absolutely no footage. Even Ryan, who is usually capable of detracting entire sentences from the smallest gusts of wind has been uncharacteristically quiet. Shane’s wearing a raincoat, they both are, but at this point it has been completely soaked through. It kind of feels like he’s never going to get dry again.

On top of that it’s freezing cold outside, partly attributed to that fact that it is the middle of the fucking night. At this point Shane is contemplating just admitting ghosts exists just so they can go back to their hotel to warm up. Shane would kill for a warm blanket and some hot chocolate right now.

Ryan apparently has the same idea, because he makes a frustrated noise, and says, “We’re not getting anything. Let’s go to the hotel and try again tomorrow.”

Shane could kiss him, but that’s not a thought he wants to get into right now. That box is staying locked away in the deep corners of his mind, never to be opened, preferably. “Maybe it’s a ghost that’s causing all this rain. Maybe they’re doing it on purpose, don’t want us lurking around their home,” Shane says, notably cheered now he knows he’s only half an hour away from a fluffy blanket.

“Shut up, Shane,” Ryan says, but the soft smile pulling at his lips considerably lessens the insult.

When they finally get back to their shared hotel room, Ryan is shaking like a leaf. Shane is feeling pretty cold too. The heating in the car did nothing to warm them up, only making them realize how cold and sticky and wet their clothes really were. Next to that the car dropped them off on a street that was still a ten minute walk away from the hotel, which means they just got soaked all over again.

So the most logical thing to do when they get inside the room would be to take of their wet clothes and put on some dry ones. However, when Ryan steps inside, he just stands in the middle of the room, seemingly frozen.

“Ryan?” Shane asks, taking off his soaked rain coat, only to reveal a soaked jean jacket underneath. “Are you okay?”

“Y-yeah,” Ryan stutters out, between the clattering of his teeth. “Ju-just rea-really c-c-cold.”

Shane has shucked off his jean jacket as well, and turns to frown at Ryan. He’s still fully dressed, trying to undo the zipper of his rain coat. He’s struggling, because his fingers are absolutely frozen stiff. While Shane had had his hands tucked into his pockets for most of the shoot, Ryan had been operating the cameras. Without gloves.

“C’mere,” Shane mutters, stepping into Ryan’s space and slowly undoing the zipper of the raincoat. Up close, he notices Ryan’s lips have turned completely blue. He momentarily entertains the idea of kissing them warm again, and then scolds himself for even thinking like that in this situation. Ryan needs him right now, which means his little ‘I may have a bit of a massive thing for my best friend’ crisis is going to have to be put on the back burner.

After the rain coat he removes Ryan’s jacket, and then reaches down for his shirt, slow, hesitant. But Ryan doesn’t stop him, just lets it happen, looking soft and frazzled and still so, so cold. Shane wants to do anything he can to warm him up as soon as possible.

So he pulls the shirt over Ryan’s head, slowly, carefully, and then reaches for his pants. When those are off too, Ryan is in front of him, in just his soaked boxers and a pair of wet socks, staring at Shane with so much trust and fondness that Shane has to turn away before he does something stupid.

“Here,” he says, trusting a pair of his own sweats and a hoodie at Ryan. “Go grab some dry underwear and get changed. I’ll go do the same,” he adds, vaguely waving in the direction of the bathroom. He flees, because if he has to spend one second longer in the same room with a ruffled, sleepy looking, wet, half naked Ryan Bergara he is definitely going to do things he is going to regret later.

When he emerges, Ryan is sitting on the bed, wrapped in Shane’s hoodie and sweatpants, and Shane curses himself for offering up his own clothes, and then curses Ryan for looking so absolutely adorable in them. He doesn’t try to think about how readily Ryan had accepted the change of clothes instead of grabbing his own.

Ryan looks up when he hears Shane enter, and he smiles. Shane wants to wrap him up in a million and one blankets and never ever let him go again. He also wants his brain to stop thinking things like that. “You feeling warmer?” He asks, sitting down on the bed as well, scooting until he’s next to Ryan, leaning against the headboard.

“Yeah,” Ryan says, but a small shiver running through his body betrays him.

Shane snorts, “Liar,” he says, untucking the covers and throwing them over them both, “Or are you going to tell me it was the ghosties that made you shiver?”

Ryan just hums, and scoots a bit closer to Shane. Shane, who desperately hopes he isn’t reading the signs wrong, wraps his arm around Ryan’s shoulder and pulls him against his chest. For body heat purposes, obviously.

Ryan makes a happy noise and snuggles into Shane’s chest. “D’you reckon we have to go back tomorrow?” He asks.

“I don’t know,” Shane says, running his hand up and down Ryan’s arm. “I don’t think we got much useful footage. Although knowing you, you can probably pull some shit out of thin air. ‘Do you hear that Shane? That’s not rain, that’s the screams of the thousands of lost souls that roam these woods.’”

Ryan wheezes, and Shane appreciates that he finally seems to be getting himself back a bit. He thinks back to the frozen Ryan that had been standing in their hotel room only minutes ago, and decides he much prefers the warm, giggling variety. “I think the rain was kind of fun,” Ryan eventually says, and Shane frowns.

“Did you get brain freeze?” He asks, genuinely concerned, and Ryan laughs again.

“No, no, I mean, it was an experience wasn’t it? It’s like, bonding time,” Ryan says.

Shane snorts. “You have a weird perception of what bonding time is. Although I guess undressing each other is considered a pretty good bonding time activity by many couples.”

Yes, Shane, great. Why not use the word couples while talking about undressing your platonic best friend. Great work. 10/10.

Ryan, predictably, falls silent. “Yeah,” he eventually says. “I didn’t mind the undressing very much.”

“Me neither,” Shane blurts out, because Shane clearly has no brain to mouth filter. “I mean, like, considering all the horrible shit we went through today it was definitely not as bad.”

Ryan wheezes, “Not as bad, that’s, that’s really doing wonders for my self confidence, thank you Shane.”

“Hey, don’t worry about it, buddy. You’re an attractive young man. Anyone would be lucky to undress you.”

Yes, great going Shane. Fucking dig your grave even deeper.

Ryan’s expression turns serious, which is about the last thing Shane wants right now. “Anyone?” He asks, tentatively, and Shane swallows.

“Anyone,” he echoes, and suddenly Ryan is lurching forward to press their lips together.

The angle is kind of awkward, because until then Ryan had kind of been lounging on Shane’s chest, and also Shane isn’t expecting to be kissed, which means he’s thrown for a bit of a loop, but then Ryan is sitting up and swinging his legs over Shane’s thighs for better access and his hands are on Shane’s cheeks and oh.

Oh.

If Shane had to spend the rest of his life kissing Ryan, he doesn’t think he would mind.

Shane’s hands have dropped to Ryan’s waist, and one of Ryan’s hands is slowly tangling himself in Shane’s hair, and for a minute the whole world disappears, and it’s just them.

And then Ryan pulls away for air, and rest his forehead against Shane’s. “Do you still think the supernatural is fake? Because I thought that was pretty out of this world,” Ryan eventually says, their faces so close his breath fans Shane’s face.

“I’m breaking up with you,” Shane informs him.

Ryan pouts at him, “We’re not even dating yet.”

Shane hums. “Hey Ryan, you want to be my boyfriend?”

“Yes,” Ryan says, without hesitation.

“Great. I’m breaking up with you.”

Ryan laughs. “Shut up, Shane,” he says, and it sounds an awful lot like ‘I love you’.

“You shut up,” Shane counters. It sounds an awful lot like ‘I love you, too’.

The next morning, the weather is beautiful. Shane can’t even find himself to be petty about it, not when Ryan snuffles in his sleep, and rolls around to bury his face in Shane’s chest.

My scores for E3, because apparently now i’m a dumb 4channer who thinks this /v/ meme shit matters, like it’s not gonna affect sales or anything it’s pointless as all hell [this is lenghy, but hear me out ok]

EA: 

4/10 - people will probably play the games regardless of how shitty this presentation was but... It felt pretty insulting. 

Battlefield V is probably gonna make a lot of money regardless cuz people like war games and it seems pretty well done, the more footage they have shown seemed better than their weird advertizement that made world war 2 seem very wacky, which honestly regardless if you’re a sexist neckbeard or not, seemed like a poor advertizement move. 

TinyBuild:

No one watched this lol and it was just 1 GAME and a fun cute musical that made people who aren’t strong enough to musicals die, 6/10 because it made nerds die and their song is catchy, i dont really care about their 1 game.

Microsoft:

 9/10 - I'm giving this much of a high score because I would play practically almost all of these games showcased (they’ll probably be available on PC which I’m biased for cuz I have a gaming PC), no kidding, I pretty much liked everything I saw and it was fairly straight to the point. Many gamers don’t appreciate the finer details of each game and think they’re generic but that’s just fanboys who haven’t played a single game outside of their favorites. 

Also my cousin uses those Xbox One netflix rip offs that gives you games so i’m happy for him. The presentation had a lot of diamonds in the rough games that will I will probably appreciate more over time (they might even become cult classics like Metro or Dying Light) than any of other games at other e3s. As for the stuff I won’t be playing: It’s mostly harmless so eh.

There was an abundance of trailers! It was like one after the other, pure goodness, it seems as if they left out all of the Sports games to EA to present and the only thing they showed that might not be anyone’s cup of tea was “Forza”, but honestly? I appreciate it, it seems like a good racing game even if I’m not one to buy racing games.... But the more you think about the number of good games presented, the less you’ll think about that, I mean they showed DEVIL MAY CRY 5!!! 

...The Funko Pop game made me scream though.

Bethesda: 

8.5/10  I cannot deny that these are games I will want to play regardless if they’re good or not. Sad to see nerds not enjoy the opportunity to meet ANDREW W.K. but I’m glad all of the divisions they own are making sequels to stuff I already like, so pretty much Bethesda played it safe.

Devolver Digital:

 8/10 It’s like that one b-movie film your college students made and you had a laugh with creating.

Square Enix: 

5/10 seriously, 30 minues of just trailers? Most of which we saw?? I guess it could be worse but who uses E3 screentime for mostly MMORPG deals! The new stuff was too vague to be excited about too.

Ubisoft: 

7/10 - I liked it when they made funny quirky things and their games are probably gonna be okay like usual, Ubisoft has dedicated fans that like their collectathon games they release every year, and it’s usually that one game you play when you’re bored and got nothing else, it’s okay. 

Gamers hate fun and dancing and all that stuff but I kind of find stuff like that exciting, while nerds who never went outside and who are sensitive as all hell to any representation of fun find it “cringey”. A panda dabbed, and that settles it, Ubisoft was the only E3 Brave enough to dab this year. 

PC Game Conference (it was fairly long):

I know none of you watch this one cuz y’all fake as hell but listen... Fuck you LOL, these are the type of games people actually play over 400 hours and really get people’s money. Like these are games built to last that might be on the best-selling Steam front page for MONTHS, like how Frostpunk was comfirmed last year during this conference, PC Gaming has been known for sleeper hits that nobody knows about (because the attention goes to cinematic experiences on consoles most of the time) but suddently everyone’s playing it. 

PC gaming has always been an alternative lifestyle and seeing as many people didn’t watch this one, that just proves the point that it still relatively alternative. Maybe it’s because everyone sounds dumb as fuck when saying “PC GAMER MASTER RACE” and acting like an elitist. 

The PC Gaming conference is always more of a talk show than a regular E3 which is why I respect it every year, fuck the hyperactive gamers that just wanna see flashy trailers, this one’s more SOPHISTICATED!! It feels a lot more human and less artificial. Either way, lot’s of what you might’ve expected: Simulators and Survival games you’ll probably spend 3 years playing until they make a better minecraft clone. 

Gamers like to act as if they’re tired of Battle Royale (already? It’s a new fad it still is here to stay for a little more) but the numbers and success of it doesn’t lie that it isn’t a fad that proves itself to be highly tempting to try out for developers. Go cry to valve that they didn’t release Half-Life 3 cuz you haven’t played any other FPS game without even researching that Valve pretty much fired all of it’s developers and you’re just being annoying.

I feel as if I need to comment what I saw at this e3 cuz nobody watched, they made a mod I liked from skyrim into a fully-ass game, they’re rebooting Star Control which not a single gamer today knows of, the HP Lovecraft open world detective game also seems very good. YAKUZA IS COMING TO PC!!!!!!!!! Killing Floor 2 stuff, Road Redemption stuff, SHARK RPG, cute indie games, Jeff Goldblum was there, Wall-E with a gun in VR which seems to have promissing good vr design by Insomiac games (yes the spyro people), 2 games about Taxi driving... Like sure I think it’s a good format for story telling but.

A cell-shaded art game, star citizen is still being made, and it’s gone to the point nobody really wants it anymore even if it’s... Still being made you know? So most guys are wrong that it was gonna be canceled. After that was the technical graphic card stuff which gamers don’t have enough capability to understand, stuff like 9k laptops that SELL a lot mind you. Rich people love that technical stuff. 

A space defense sim game, Don’t Starve Sequel, Just Cause 4 detailed explanation of the engine, Overkill’s The Walking Dead gameplay which has been in development hell for years now now has a release date, I discovered Clementine’s voice actor is white... Go figure, a literal pixelated roguelike (not what you think it is, it’s Noita), 

Theme Hospital REBOOT!!!! YES!!!!!!!!! And the doctors were cute. Probably one of the funniest games presented... Followed by REALM ROYALE HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That harvest moon clone with a cute art style is still being made: Ooblets, no release date sadly. Anno is still going, cyanide and happiness still exists? and they’re making a battle royale? lol okay. How was Hitman 2 not announced during Square Enix?? Anyways it’s here at the end, the trailer was amazing and it’s coming out this year. 

I don’t have that much strong feelings because it’s just a normal conference and not a special one you know? But I’ll give it a 8/10 or 7/10 im not sure cuz I seem to like most games and I found Frankie cute.

Sony: 

Yo usually Sony makes like a huuuuuuuge thing about their conferences (like this year they didn’t even showcase indie games) but this year they started from a church for the sake of immersion?? It reminded me a little of their first E3s during the 90s, and it almost felt like a indie gathering for musicians, I swear to god, Sony is borderline experimental trying to balance out their E3 across stages. Jeb played the banjo and people just ACCEPTED it... AND THEN someone played some JAPANESE FLUTE? aRT. It might come off as a bit arrogant for some tho.

Nerds hated it and thought it was bizzare, which is why it means it’s good. HAPPY PRIDE MONTH BITCHES. Anyways could have been a little more fast-paced... But then again when it was fast-paced it was just like: Huh? What was that? I’m a big Resident Evil Fangirl, RE2 was my childhood but ignoring that for a sec: finally, Death Stranding gameplay, remins me of shadow of the colossus but post-apocalpytic, survival horrorish and abstract sci-fi.

 Kind of feels more Metal Gear than MGSV did already Cuz Norman Reedus sounds like snake a lot more than the 24 hours guy, and because from what I’ve seen in the footage, someone acts like Otacon to “Sam”. I think most now can figure out the plotpoints of this game with what has been established. I might be a bit sad at the fact that this will be a PS4 exclusive just like Metal Gear Solid 4, which I still haven’t played fully because it’s PS3 exclusive and I only have a gaming PC. 

Also this E3 was surprisingly entirely SINGLE PLAYER, I sorta don’t believe in the “single player doesn’t exist” myth honestly, especially now. I’m not sure if that makes Sony’s E3 better or worse, maybe it needed more variation, like I’ve commented, usually they have an indie showcase which this year did not. There were few games shown but for what it was worth, it’s still interesting... But yeah just 5 games? No Spyro? (easy picking), nothing extra? I can understand why many people felt this E3 was upsetting.

Nintendo

Here it is, the most overhyped developer of all of E3, the source of “Nintendo wins E3 by doing nothing” memes because Nintendo fans really don’t care about anything except Nintendo and then act surprised when they only care about Nintendo when they try to be a little more open-minded (and fail) even if other E3s probably make more games built to last in comparisson, cuz we gay people only care about NINTENDO YOU KNOW? Shade asside... 

I was pleasantly surprised this E3, it wasn’t just a series of okay at best releases, a strong 9/10.

It’s pretty much just an update of the last smash, every character is REALLY FUCKING GOOD BUT.... JUST THAT? jeez.. Like, the only stuff I wanted from it was Mario Party and Smash... Okay maybe that 1 Mecha game. Also I guess fornite is now on Switch but I can play that anywhere else really.

I guess a 7/10 is all I can give to just Smash, if there was a little more I’d give it a 9/10 for sure but... ehh Just Smash? jeez, fuck... i MEAN I kind of get it, Nintendo doesn’t do “e3″ normally, they usually do 1 big game at E3 and then wait a couple of months to do that little seasonal announcement thing they do across the year, ugh.. Okay story time. 

so like 2 months ago some lady was clearly not paying attention to her psychotic screaming violent  child (one of two)  and the kid came up and tried to bite me. so i stared to lecture the kid about how its not ok to just walk up and bite people and the kid kicked me . this kid was about 8 so they should obviously know better, the kids mother came by and started to bitch me out for yelling at her kid, then i showed her the bite mark the kid left on my arm and she was like “ yeah kids do that when there playing thats no reason to lecture them “. So i went full on bitch mode on this mother and pointed out to her that that is not normal behavior and basically went full on phyc first year on her ass . She was like “ well hes just like that what are you gonna do sue him hes under 12 so you cant do shit bitch “ to witch i replied  : “ yeah but the security camera behind me can prove it and your right i cant do anything to the kid but i can get you for shitty parenting if you really wanna play that game lady. or you could listen to what ive got to say “ she was quiet for a while as her kid started drinking her coffee in the back ground , which i let her know and she said it was normal for him to do that so i told her to try to take him off food dyes and caffeine and watch this kids behavior and a lot of helpful suggestion cause i was trying to sort this thing out and at least get an apology for the kid. i was pissed and my leg hurt from the kids steal toe boots but was trying to be calm and mature. which apparently pissed he off more . she replayed with “ the cameras dont even work here you bitch” and yelled at me  for a good twenty min before she tried to punch me, im 20% sure this women was high on something now that i think about it, i walked up the the front desk of the store and asked them to pull the footage and explained the thing to them.  AND THE FUCKING DID surprisingly and this women face was like she saw a ghost. t one of the employees had over herd out 2 hour argument and had been watching that kid run around stealing shit to. also the women had been caught shoplifting there before and was not allowed to be in there . About a week  ago the same lady walked up to me with her now calmer child and looked at me in the eye and said “ i took your advice and you were right he calmed down and my therapist ( this women was a raging bitch i can see why she needed one ) told me that was not normal behavior. i like to say sorry . “ then walked off . the store arrested the lady for stealing shortly after we were done looking at the tape  and gave me her name so if i wanted to report it to cps i could. i didnt and forgot about it but calling that ladys bluff was pretty dramatic for me since i normally dont talk to anyone let alone fight them.

Alright so I just feel this serious need to rant about season 2 and the developments and everything. So I'm gonna start with:

HUNK-- my sweet baby boy who got like zero actual screen time?? Like whenever he was on he was mostly joking about food and I'm low key angry about that but i feel like that just leaves more open space for next season. B/c Hunk is supposed to be the leg that holds the team up and keeps them going (by Allura’s claim to the yellow lion). Now that Shiro’s disappeared I think that, or at least hope, that next season until they find Shiro that Hunk will end up having to take on that roll a little more. Not to say Hunk hasn't been strong for the team before. Last season they started his transition from scared and loyal pessimist to accepting his roll loyal pessimist on the Balmera. But they really didn't do much of anything with that this season he was mostly comic relief. So I'm hoping that next season while everyone’s down b/c of Shiro’s disappearance that he’ll end up having to step up a bit to be the emotional support that the team (and probably Keith most of all) really needs. 

I also really need his family and backstory!! like REALLY NEED IT ITS A MUST IM CRAVING THANKS!!

PIDGE-- got some REALLY SWEET FUCKIN SCREEN TIME CAN I JUST SAY!!! Like i wasn't really sure what was gonna happen with that but Pidge got a lot of well deserved praise and screen time!! I was a little thrown off by how the crew seemed to boost her up by making Hunk (the mechanic) and Lance (capable of actual thoughts) look like less in comparison. But aside from that i was so happy with her!! I was really happy to see them continuing showing her venturing away from “i need to find my family nothing else matters” to “i need to find my family but i have to be with my team first.” Pidge is finally accepting that she sees this team as her family too and i think it’s beautiful. Like when they were breaking out Slav (however his name is spelled??) Pidge found the footage of Matt as she was trying to find the escape route for Lance and Shiro. A part of me was like oh she’s gonna get all focused on Matt and somethings gonna go wronG AND ITS GONNA BE BAD AND OH NO but then she retraced and brought her focus back to Lance and Shiro cause they were the ones who needed her at that moment in time and she knew they were depending on her. Like they're important to her!! So much so that she put her brother to the side for them. And i almost cried. 

ALSO AS IVE MENTIONED IN EARLIER POSTS!!! Lance and Pidges fountain scene was probably one of my favorite scenes in the entire second season. like it was such a soft and fun time in a typically tense season!! and it kind of opened my eyes to another fact that i hadn't really put much thought into before: both Lance and Pidge have lost or been taken away from their siblings/family because of this whole galra and voltron deal. and unlike the other paladins they’re the only two who have show actual homesickness or conscious need to be back to their families, to know they’re safe and keep them safe. Lance very clearly misses his family on Earth, he’s afraid that they’ll think he’s dead and wants to be back with them so bad that the crew gave us that whoooole shpeel. Then we have Pidge, who’s still looking for her family along side fighting with Voltron because yes saving the universe is important as all heck but even so she can't completely set aside her brother and dad, she just can't. She misses them. She wants them safe and with her. 

The fountain scene was the first interaction between Pidge and Lance that really stood out to me regarding their relationship. The way they acted reminded me so much of how my sister and i are together. Cause they fight and pick on each other and get on each others nerves, but then sometimes something happens and all of a sudden they just CLICK and they’re on the same brain wave then, having fun together, messing around, being KIDS! I feel like Pidge and Lance are probably the two most family oriented in the group, and that being said, i think that makes them gravitate towards each other. I think it’ll make them start seeing each other even more as siblings in the next season. I'm really hoping for some Lance and Pidge bonding, comforting each other about their families, giving noogies, joking around. 

And that brings me to LANCE-- my boy who also didn't get as much screen time as i was hoping. I’ll be honest i really thought we were gonna get some actual background on lance this season because of all the hype and stuff, and the flirting got kind of excessive, but i was very happy with the scenes we did get. Like his thing with being all concerned about the mermaids, “i don't want to hurt you,” his funny as all heck explanation of the plan, my fave the fountain scene, and ESPECIALLY his fucking no scope likE DID YOU SEE MY SON!!!???!! i actually have a lot to say about Lance too so hang on.

So first off lets talk about his insecurity. I've seen other people talk about it too, but i just want to say that this is one of the things i wanted to see from Lance the most and i was really happy (though kind of sad) to get it. B/c the crew has said that Lance is going to slowly gain leadership skills and mature, and i love how they’re showing it. The biggest thing for me is that they're all teenagers, maybe 15, 16-17 year olds, Shiro’s apparently a teenager too so probably like 19?? I myself am 16 and for me its kind of wild to step back and say wow, these guys are around my age and they're keeping such a cool head it’s kind of crazy. Lance has had some of the most accurate teenage emotional development I've ever seen in a tv show though. He’s cocky, makes jokes, plays himself off as amazing. He likes to flirt and have fun, testosterone and hormones. But under all that, he’s a kid. He’s unsure of himself and insecure. He earnestly compliments everyone before doubting himself. He’s afraid he’s not really necessary. He doesn't completely understand his place. That’s really important to me b/c when that happens i tend to see myself in some way mirrored in Lance. His character being a teenager acting the way he does is so absolutely brilliantly accurate and i love it. He wasn't sure about himself being the mermaids heroes, he doubted himself before his amazing no scope shot, he got kind of defensive when Shiro picked Keith over him. He wants to be important too. 

Also the other thing that i really need more of is Lance’s backstory, his family. I need hiS FAMILY STORY. And more than anything what i need for next season is him also being a leg for the group. Lance is very emotion centered, he understands just as well as Pidge and Hunk (don't even need to mention the Alteans) the absolute pain of losing his family and the possibility of never seeing them again. I really want to see him supporting Keith especially. 

I want to see Lance put aside his cocky facade and step up to Keith and say hey, i know how it feels to lose your sibling, it’s okay, we’re here, we’ll help you. I want so badly for Pidge Hunk and Lance to comfort Keith and help keep him going after loosing Shiro. I mean yeah they're not related but Keith looks to him as a brother and he was so clearly the emotional focus at the end of the last episode. It’s gonna be really hard for him loosing Shiro because he didn't really leave a family behind on Earth, at least as far as we know going by his description and all. It’ll be like all that regret and guilt and anger and sadness from loosing his family rising up over Shiro. He’s going to need all of the team to deal with it. And they all know that loss. They’re all each other’s family now. 

Most of all i think what i need most is Lance and Hunk’s backstories and character development next season. And since we’ve already seen Pidge’s backstory, i want to see more of Pidge’s development into accepting team voltron as his family, as well as hER FINDING HER BROTHER AND DAD PLS AND THANK YOU!!! These three are so so important to me, i feel like they didn't get as much love as they could have and were kinda sidelined for most of season 2. I'm REALLY hoping that Dreamworks did that just to build up for next season. GIVE ME THE GARRISON GANG!!!

NOT SO FRIENDZONED- JACK MAYNARD IMAGINE

"Ello! It's me, I'm back again with Jack who many of you request to see because look at that face!" I tease before reaching over and squeezing his cheeks. "So today we are gonna have Jack here pick my outfit and makeup look for tonight. We are going to be going to dinner for his birthday and he seems to think it'd be funny to dress me up." I laugh and he nods. "I'm actually not gonna sabotage her. I wanna show everyone that I have a fashion sense." He smiles and I shake my head. "I'm scared. I'm a single female who needs to look good when she goes out. Please don't make me ugly." "Guys of course she thinks I could make her ugly." He grabs my face and kisses my cheek. "Aww as if I could make something ugly that's already ugly." He jokes and I slap him on his arm before frowning. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" He apologizes and I remain silent. That's Jack and I. We play around but for me it's different. I wish he didn't go so far, but he apparently means no harm. Sadly I like him a lot more than just friends so for me the little jokes and jabs are really hard. "Guys I made her look good!" Jack shouts at my camera and I look in the mirror while cringing. "Dude I look like your tinder dates." I whine as I see the outfit. He put me in a skin tight skirt and tight top with heels. "I don't like this at all." I admit but what makes it better is that he shrugs only to turn to my camera and smile even more. "You'll see more of what happens later on but im gonna do my hair and makeup and then get fucked up so I don't have to remember that I'm dressed like this." I explain before turning off all of my camera gear. "Can you go so I can actually do my hair and makeup. I'll see you at the party." I'm gonna regret this. --- Oh boy did I not regret it when I was drunk, but in the morning I did. The night started out okay and I was happy until I saw Jack with a girl on his arm. I realized that him and I weren't going to be a thing when I saw him making out with that girl who was not me. After some liquid courage I also decided to get with someone and maybe I went further than Jack did because I woke up in someone's bed who I never met before last night. It got worse when I didn't have my keys and had to actually knock on the door to my flat and face my friends and Jack himself. "Oh this is really funny." Josh laughs and I push past him. "It is." Conor adds and I walk into my safe space so I can try and avoid seeing Jack. "You went home with that guy didn't you?" I see him sitting there on the edge of my bed and I drop my heels down before letting my bag follow. "What are you doing here?" I whisper and he holds up his camera. "You did a Q and A one time on my camera cause yours was dead. I saw the footage. You admitted to liking me and then mentioned how you'd edit it out later and you did, but I never got over what you said. I wanted you at my party for my birthday because I love you, but you left with some random guy and I guess I didn't expect it. You're not the type to sleep with a random guy but you did and that's why I'm here acting pathetic." He stands up and goes to walk out but I immediately wrap my arms around his neck and stand on my tippy toes. My hands go up to his hair and I grip onto it while I bury my head in his shoulder. "Don't walk away." I whisper. "I don't want to lose you because I acted out of jealously." I beg before pulling my face from his shoulder and looking him in the eyes. "I love you too. I really do and I'm sorry, but please don't walk away." "I won't." He nods before pulling my closer to him. "Wow so are we gonna be watching this all the time now?" My door opens and I turn to see Josh and Conor smiling. "Finally they get to together after what... two years of waiting?" "Yeah and now you're ruining the romance so go!" I shout like an angry toddler and Jack laughs. "Like really go we didn't even kiss yet and you ruined the romance." I add and Conor backs away slowly before shutting the door. "You wanted to kiss?" Jack asks and I try to stop from blushing. "Cause so did I." He slowly leans down to me and kisses my cheek. "But you're hungover and I still didn't take you on a proper date, so I'll kiss you then." "Jack you're gonna pay for that." I whine but he just smiles. "I'll be happy to, but for now I have a video to make so when you're done being upset come and join me." "That seriously just happened."
