They had an array of vibrant colors that the houses were painted in. All of the beach houses were lifted off the ground because of the hurricanes that happened in the town. Dauphin Island itself is exactly what I had pictured as a beach vacation spot. It was so beautiful. It is like the colors were enhanced in this town. The beach sand was so white, and the water is the coolest part of the whole town. On one side of the island the water was blue like the ocean, but on the other side of the island the water was green because of the bay. It was super neat. When I finally got out of the vehicle, the weather was perfect. It was sunny and eighty-five degrees. My toes were warm in the sand, and it the sand was so soft. The beach house we stayed at was bright blue. One cool fact to know is that all the beach houses had names. The one we stayed at was called “Deja Vu”.

The house was located directly on the beach, so all we had to do was walk outside and there we were on the beach. I loved that we could hear the shrimp boats and the sea gulls when we woke up. You could see the dolphins following behind the shrimp boats every morning, jumping in and out of the water, whistling as they swam. Dauphin Island smelled like a fresh fish, but not in a bad way. The people there were the sweetest and helpful with any questions we had. The people had so much respect for the land and keeping it clean. They strongly recommended picking up your trash and keeping the beaches clean. I would suggest that for future vacationers. The locals take pride of their clean beach. My Eco-friendly advice would be to pick up your trash as your go throughout your day on the beach. I would definitely love to go back to this beautiful place.

Dauphin Island has a special place in my heart, because this was the very first place I ever went on a vacation at. I always wanted to go to a beach, and being able to experience my first beach at Dauphin Island was the greatest gift. I went to Dauphin Island with all of my family and that made it even more special. Dauphin Island is more of a family oriented vacation spot. There are so many activities to do with your family. For instance, we went parasailing, deep sea fishing, we toured Fort Gaines, which was a historic site, and most of all played on the beach all day. Those were just some of the activities that we did. We went down to the local fish cafes and ate fresh sea food. The food was delicious, like nothing I’ve ever had before. All of the sea food had a better taste than any of the sea food I’ve ever had before. The island itself is more of a family oriented type of place to go.

For people who are looking for a vacation spot on a beach Dauphin Island is your place. Although the island itself doesn’t seem very big, there are plenty of places to eat, things to do, and places to stay. My recommendation would be for future vacationers to rent the “Deja Vu” because this house not only gives you the beach feel, but the house is located right on the beach. I would recommend eating at the Skinner’s Seafood because their food was so fresh, and the service was fabulous. Everyone loved the environment of the restaurant. As for the things to do, my first advice would be to take Captain Mike’s Deep Sea fishing trip. This was the best part of the whole trip. We caught so many big fish, and we got to see dolphins swim right next to the boat. Another cool fact to know is that Dauphin Island is known for seeing many dolphins around the island. Depending on what time of year that you go they have many different festivals to attend to, but the one I would go to is in June, and it is an old car show. I would choose this one because I love looking at older cars. Dauphin Island is by far the best vacation place to go to. The island itself is remote and you can still get the full experience of the beach life. I would highly recommend anyone taking their family or spouse to this location. It would be an unforgettable experience.

I love that the island is small enough that everything is located in a pretty central area. My recommendations is that the beach house is a wonderful place to stay. Especially if you are looking to get the full experience of Dauphin Island.

I have never stay at a Micro Inn and Suites in Dauphin Island, but I have stayed in this same type of hotel before. I highly recommend them. The prices could also be a little more affordable than renting a beach house.

The parking is available to those who rent the camp spot. You should be able to park inside the park right beside your camp spot. Distance to activities are very close. You are camping right on the beach so that is one activity. As for the rest of the activities, you are in close proximity of any other activity which allows you to do many things. I would definitely recommend this type of stay if you are on a budget. You are able to afford to do more activities if you choose to stay at the camp site.
