I was relistening to rqg 154 because it had a lot of of lore stuff and I noticed they also had a number of pretty bad knowledge rolls that ep and it’s so satisfying that now they actually rolled well. Like, Cel got a knowledge: nature roll to do with the seed in 154 but rolled a 2 and I’m pretty we finally got to hear what they missed out on back then. I still have no real idea how it all ties together but I'm very excited to be getting more and more pieces of the puzzle

this ep was unexpectedly wholesome and I’m so happy they got to have their rest!! and Alex all but telling them directly to just take a nap and that he wouldn’t kill them for it lol

Azu giving Chaucer the marble 🥺 both touching and hilarious because I will never stop being amused at Azu buying a ridiculous amount of marbles

Zolf giving Chaucer his books!! Love Zolf’s quest to get people to read his favourite series but also love Chaucer being so reverent with the paper and actually reading it later, I was fully expecting his ‘question’ to Zolf later to be about the plot lol

Hamid saying he would take the ring just made me think of ‘I will take the ring to Mordor’ ahsdlfhsds love the trend with Halflings and rings continues

also EINSTEIN!!! that part was very unsettling and worrying when Bryn spelled out the inconsistency. My first thought was that the Einstein in the complex had been a fake, but they seemed to suggest this Einstein might be blue-veined. Either way bad news :((( but like they say if he’s blue veined then he might be restored by their success

Zolf’s Heroes’ feast spell!! that was so good, I love how he was preparing it all carefully and all of them eating together, even Babbage and Chaucer being there 😭 the toasts actually had me tearing up for real, loved the little Hamid/Zolf moment ‘to what comes next’

AZU MISSED HER BIRTHDAY!! Hamid getting them to sing happy birthday 🥺 🥺

also info on the final battle!! 10 rounds of defending the beacon essentially with everything coming at them and then you gotta hope that they don’t get taken out by someone not blue-veins related if they succeed

GUIVRES!!! I have been hoping for (and dreading) a dragon appearance and I’m delighted (and worried). I know it’s only been mentioned as a possibility so far but like, Alex surely wouldn’t do that if they weren’t going to show up for real, I can’t wait for the cool description of a huge dragon just swooping in

(secretly hoping for a hamid vs guivres stand off for a moment just because baby dragon vs ELDER DRAGON, but also I don’t want Hamid to die so)

anyway, this episode gave them some nice reprieve and after this it will no doubt be stress again every week so it was nice to get some happy moments with a strangely nice lich
