thalia is so growing on me i love my rich woman who has Problems.. i gave her ice powers for like. the elsa vibes.
#but im like damn... gale...karlach....stay away from her... or else ur gonna explode in the end....#really a coin toss between those two and im gonna be sad at the end but that's the thalia experience 😭#also i dont think she's gonna save the tieflings... not bc she's evil but she generally doesn't care... and curing the tadpole is her utmos#priority. like she's already stressed with her chaotic magic killing her if she loses 50/50 now you have to add brain worms on top of that?#funny that shri'iia does more heroic deeds and she's like. the evil aligned chara#but thalia is generally very cold in a sense that she's always looking at the bigger picture and she's willing to sacrifice/disregard#who gets caught in the crossfire.. like that's just another responsibility she has to bear for Her. and she's very the type to sacrifice he#own happiness for her Duty vibe. like i think she's just learned how to be content with whatever she's left with.#also she's her father's heir bc she's the only child to her father's First Wife. and thalia get step siblings along the way but i think tha#grief of losing her mother / becoming an adult/handling adult affairs quickly made her jaded on a lot of stuff#and she feels like it's her responsibility to lead her noble house to higher pastures so her step siblings can live freely#like she's just taking all the work to herself - as the Heir. and that's what she was doing UNTIL she gets the wild magic#now suddenly she feels like she's cursed. and the fact that it's chaotic by nature and so dangerous..!! she can't stay in court or at home#over the fear of harming someone. and she's learnt that to get rid of a problem you always have to go to the root of it#hence why she's travelling around finding more info and source of the wild magic in hopes to cure herself from it#and she kind of put her life on Pause bc she believes she can't get anywhere with this curse. but its like gworl u put ur life on pause lon#before that.. anyway her end goal is that once she cures herself and she's normal again she'll prob marry some other old money heir#set up trusts for her siblings and live a quiet life. but that wont happen obvi hehe#also one of the siblings' name is melpomene... being named from the goddess of comedy thalia is kinda boring lol#essentially her story is like. she learns how to have fun. essentially. depending on how i rp her idk yet actually

reblogging this for the third time in a row cause i keep thinking of new things abt this. huge spoilers ahead
theres SO MUCH potential for wyll to have much more content, especially in act 3
reunion with duke ravengard after the iron throne: shadowheart's reunion with her parents had so much content and development, while ravengard just. stands there in your camp.
wyll doesn't even really have his own story arc, he just either decides to keep or break his pact to either be a duke in his father's steps or the blade of avernus
both karlach and wyll's only backstory ties in the city are to gortash so they don't get a cool viconia/cazador fight but also? gortash and orin were so easy to beat compared to viconia, it would have been cool to see like, combat in a room of karlach-esque construct prototypes (bernard or grymforge eternal guardian-style) to explore what that was like for her
(actually while we're on the topic of companions needing more special dialogue interactions following boss fights with their dead three backstory villains, minthara could have had WAY more content following orin's death but thats unrelated)
honestly i consider wyll's boss fight to be ansur but that was so disappointing. my paladin had the orphic hammer and both netherstones, fully intent on betraying the emperor before we went down there, but we had to fight ansur anyway. do you know how cool it would be to have a scene of wyll and tav flying back to camp on a dragon and ravengard telling his son that he's pround of him???? thats what i thought would have happened but it Didn't.
i dont think the party should get the chance to team up with ansur against the emperor in that fight tho, and the ansur fight was fun, so maybe smt like a fight to prove your worth and then being able to borrow ansur's power in the upper city bbeg fight would be cool. there could be a summon allies ability from ansur that's kind of like the kith'raki inferno except with an upgraded call lightning/chain lightning rather than wall of fire
also i dont think the game made a big enough deal of the fact that mizora was captured by the illithids and wyll had to save her?? how did that happen?? why was that not explored??? she literally just also hangs out at ur camp so that ur tav can have a chance to fuck her. i wanna see a change in their dynamic even if wyll stays in the pact, i want to see him reclaiming his name and power and really doing something to become the blade of avernus bc honestly that kind of came out of nowhere and felt more like accepting defeat than anything
and if he leaves the pact i wanna see him being the emperor/balduran's foil!! he loves his friends and lives for honor while balduran was a fuckin coward who manipulated and backstabbed people. if wyll's gonna rebuild baldur's gate i want to see him in his epilogue grappling with balduran's tale and maybe even letting the truth abt gortash and balduran be known as a cautionary tale against abuses of power
also, blade of avernus vs duke of baldurs gate and all but tbhhhh. i kind of want an evil wyll. i dont mean ascended astarion/dark justiciar shadowheart evil bc that does feel out of character, but like. gale has seeds of ambition that can be nurtured into a karsic defiance of mystra and an ascension to godhood. give wyll complexity through a flaw that can be planted in act 1 and potentially develop into something for an evil path. his biggest thing in act 1 was killing the goblin leaders to protect the tiefling refugees on the road to baldur's gate, but i remember in early access it was actually centered around mizora and he even had that thing with getting his eye back from torturer spike- what happened to all that?? vengeance could be his flaw. an overdelivery of justice. there was so much abt that in ansur's dungeon, it fits right in but nooo larian just ignored all that
speaking of wyll defending the tieflings in act 1, why doesn't he get anything special with them?? i pretty much take one long rest per act so he always spends the goblin party by the beach pondering what will happen to him (bc i hadn't gotten the mizora cutscene with karlach yet) but i cant believe he still doesn't get any dialogue about the tieflings in the last light inn when u reunite with them in act 2 or in rivington/the elfsong tavern when u find them in act 3
i love this game with all my heart and have almost 500 hours in it but. jfc. so many thoughts. how do u make a warlock that people consider "boring." im prob gonna end up writing a fix it fic abt this to give wyll the content he deserves.

spent like an hour trying to find a post abt the disparity of origin companion's content in bg3 and couldn't so, hey, this fucking sucks
