"Use any browser other than Chrome."

No. Use Firefox specifically. Because Firefox is all-but the only other web browser, actually. Almost every other web browser is backed by Chromium, or otherwise uses V8 and Blink, Chrome's Javascript and web rendering engines. The exceptions are Safari, which uses WebKit (from which Chrome was derived, funnily enough), and Firefox, which uses Quantum (formerly known as Gecko before it went through a major overhaul that brought in a lot of work from the Servo research project (sidenote, "Project Servo: Technology From The Past Come To Save The Future From Itself", while not really relevant to the browser, is probably the earliest presentation of the eventually much more successful research project that was developed in tandem with Servo: Rust).

Why does this matter? Because this is what makes Chrome so powerful. If you control the codebase the world uses to view the web, you control how the web is interpreted, and standards cease to matter, because what you do is de-facto standard. If you go use Opera, or Edge, or any other Chromium-based browser, you are not preventing Google from having a monopoly in the browser market: you're all-but helping them along.

Mozilla ain't perfect (they've made a lot of mistakes, overpay their executives, and have laid off or lost a lot of technical talent on account of all that), but I trust them more than I trust Google.
