hold on... was anyone gonna tell me there's 2 versions of pinocchio coming out this year (one stop motion animated one directed my guillermo del toro that looks like it's gonna b absolutely amazing & one 'live action' thing from disney directed by robert zemeckis which i didnt even know existed until i saw a gifset from it on my dash a few mins ago lool)

#personal #not to tin foil it up here #but the fact that disney released there version before del toro's despite the latter being a passion project #he's been working on since 2008 feels kinda dodgy imo...#also reading the wikipedia of the production development for the disney version is a TRIP lol #changed director like 300 times and the scripts were constantly being changed too #also looking at it on letterboxd it has NOT been received well pfft...#hoping this wont reflect badly on del toro's version #cos i genuinely think it looks AMAZING and i love that he went w/ such an interesting style
