war of the coprophages is actually *hilarious* i kind of love episodes where they’re in two different places and all they do is talk on the phone, whether necessary or not.

like mulder stumbles onto a strange case and he has to call scully to let her know & see what she thinks. he asks her to come up but she finds a plausible scientific/medical explanation for the roach related deaths. so he tells her not to come. but he calls again. she offers to come up, but he says no again because she’s probably right with her second theory for the most recent death (and like this one actually seems spot on — is ekmon’s real because damn).

and as the episode goes on, he calls her & calls her until she finally shows up. honestly because she seems *jealous*

it’s actually hilarious because she’s right this time but it’s also so fucking bizarre 😂

and the time when he’s trespassing on government property because they’re doing agricultural experiments in the area and she tries so desperately to get her words out fast enough to stop him. but she’s too late and he’s already doing it. so she sighs but then she’s just like ‘so what’s happening what do you see?’ because she secretly LOVES IT. and she becomes irrationally worried about the cockroaches he’s encountering.

honestly hilarious.

the way mulder hates bugs is comical. like what a baby. i mean yeah, they’re roaches and bugs can be very gross. but i’m team bugs are so cool (though i don’t enjoy them near me if i’m inside lol only outside where they belong).

but bambi is crazy thanks

mulder finding bambi’s scientific detachment “refreshing” LMAO he means scully. he’s just trying to get information from bambi and scully ends up worried he actually likes her. baby boi is too interested in the case & the truth to even think about bambi seriously.

his paranoia about a roach getting into his ear or nose as he lays in bed — thank you. (i don’t actually mind bugs but the idea of them ON ME makes my skin crawl. i used to always have that feeling and it is truly awful.)

scully sleeping with her phone on her pillow waiting for mulder’s call — baby girl is whipped. she answers before the first ring is through. and all she can hear is “bambi”

SHE IS SO WORRIED HES GONNA SAY HE LIKES BAMBI but it’s just about bugs and she’s so relieved lmao and just tries to make him feel better about being afraid of bugs

“mulder, are you sure it wasn’t a girly scream?”

and again he hangs up on her & she’s so frustrated at not being with him. it’s harder to ditch her when she’s there with him.

grown men go running from the cockroaches and he goes toward them. what a tough guy.

THEY REALLT HAD A ROACH CROSS THE SCREEN TO CUT TO THE GROCERY STORE MOB wow i hate them — never noticed it before but wow that just got me 🤣 (okay maybe i do hate bugs but it doesn’t stop me finding them interesting & wanting to save them)

the bottle of insect repellant or killer, whatever it is, is the same as scully’s flea shampoo for queequeg. never noticed that either.

the way she picks up the box of candy & eats one is hilarious. quiet comedy. like when she answers mulder’s call, tells queequeg to stay, and when’s he turns around, the lil pup is gone. covered in suds running around her apartment. classic.

and he still thinks it’s aliens lmfao bambi is like what the fuck

absolutely hilarious he brings bambi with him, makes her wait outside, and then scully fatefully meets them at the plant. scully is so annoyed that she calls him fox — the way she mouths his name. it’s cute that she thinks it’s confirmation he likes her.

and really, dr. eckerle is just a bit crazy — “how do i know you’re not a cockroach?”

idiot goes and blows the place up, covering them in manure. again, the comedy.

“you two oughta go home and get some rest. you look pooped.” HUMOR.

and then bambi is so taken dr. ivanov. hilarious. she understands him.
