i am mostly just thinking about these things with a goal of having no middle sliders. so with a passing glance at grendel, i'm noticing he has a few key traits that stand out.

easy access to viral & toxic status.

pulverize is extremely funny.

from there i usually snoop my way around the warframe wiki looking for specific arcanes, mods, weapons, archon shards, or helminth abilities that would have synergy with or exaggerate these traits.

because viral and toxin are already like... good, DE is kind of stingy with giving you more reasons to use them. so there's not really anything that exciting there.

let's go learn about pulverize and see how funny it actually is. like, oh! grendel's sprint speed increases pulverize rolling speed?

why don't i waste all of my archon shards on that? just for fun? what are some other ways we can make pulverize funnier?

SO BASICALLY I’ve been tryna keep outta my house over the summer cause my parents work from home and it’s not civilised, so I usually go out and chill with my mates.

I text Clara and ask if it’s cool for me to drop by cause it’s like 9am and she’s usually still asleep, but she texts back that she’s awake cause she’s got these awful period cramps (being a person with a uterus can fucking suck right?) so I go to her place, it’s past town so I pick up some of those like heat up pad thingys that stick to you cause she likes tho and said they were out and obviously snacks and then, because she’s in pain and i’m a sucker, watch Taylor Swift videos and the Era Tour with her (AGAIN). 

Nothing against Taylor just not my vibe. Also i’ve watched it with Clara SO MANY TIMES cause she loves it that I know like every song. 

Anyway, we’re sat in her room watching it and I realise that i’m being a fucking idiot. I always forget to consider romance just cause- idk it doesn’t occur to me 😭 BUT Clara is amazing and also, I need to chill. She’s my friend most of all, I should just TALK to her. 

ANYWAYS so last week I got my head out my arse and told her about what i’d been thinking about, and she admitted she DOES LIKE ME, and has for a while. 

Sometimes I feel like i’m not being as genuine as other people you know? Like, Clara has fancied me for a while and I didn’t even notice? And I don’t really know how I feel. I just find romance and stuff like that so hard, because it’s never been THAT important to me. 

But now it is because it’s Clara.

I didn’t ask her out until like three days ago. After we talked last week, I told her that her admitting she likes me won’t fuck with our friendship, but that I have like no idea how i’m feeling so i’d get back to her, but in the meantime she can vibe and know that we’re cool.

And I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Like how am I supposed to know if I fancy her or not? Sure I do things for her I wouldn’t do for other people, because I care more, but maybe i’m just a dick to other people? I DONT KNOW CASSSSS. 

Look so like three days ago I decided to ask her out so that I could know. 

And we had an amazing date and it felt like nothing i’ve felt before but I felt guilty at the end cause it was like I was using her.  So I admitted I had no clue how I was feeling, and that I never get crushes on people first cause I never feel like that until I start feeling like that and I think maybe I always had a crush on her and mixed it up with friendship and how i’m a mess she should probably stay away from.

And then she told me she knows i’m a mess because she asked me out last year and we went on a whole date and she kissed my cheek and then I DIDNT REALISE IT FUCKING A DATE 😭

But for real as far as our question, this is a difficult one. Personally, I see more than friendship as someone who I care deeply about but also who I want deep intimacy with. Someone who I want in my future, but someone who I also crave closeness with in all ways. But some people don’t like certain types of intimacy for whatever reason and still feel romantic feelings, so people see romance differently depending on who it is.

I think honestly, you should give it a shot. If it starts to feel wrong, communicate that. Say you love her but just as a friend! Just keep the lines of communication open and be honest, that’s the best thing you can do 🥰

Aaaaaand HapCha is complete!! :,) I didn't quite cry at the end of it, but I came very, very close a couple of times!!

Some thoughts from the last episodes: I feel a little bad for people who wanted Princess, Honey, or Fortune to have more screentime in the final fight, but the full team's fight against Red on the "Red Planet" (I feel like we should just say Mars) was soooooo cool!!! I think that this director is fond of having cool fights against the villain where all the Cures are beating them up while a catchy song of them singing plays, because that was one of the moments that I really liked at the end of Heartcatch, too. Additionally, I love the way that Megumi and Seiji's arc wrapped up. Their confrontation, as well as the one before it that included Princess, Honey, and Fortune was really cool--it showed just how great of a character Seiji is and how important he is to all of them, and I like that a male character was able to shine in that way instead of being relegated as an unimportant side character. If all of the seasons that had hamfisted male love interests treated them like how Seiji was treated by the narrative instead, I think that I would generally hate the Precure romantic subplots waaaaay less (I am looking directly at you, Fresh!!)

Some overall thoughts: I genuinely did not think that I would enjoy HapCha so much!!! I think that it's going to be among my top seasons (although it's currently not very hard to get into that club lol) even though I was worried throughout some parts about how they would handle Megumi's crush on Blue. Ultimately, I think it was handled extremely well, and I'm really impressed as I think that that's a tricky thing to do considering the touchy subject matter!! Additionally, the designs for both the Cures and some of the items in the season have really grown on me (I ordered the Prechan Mirror, each Cure's Precards, and the Honey Baton after all, lol)!!

The only thing that I can say genuinely disappointed me was the designs or attacks used by some of the international Cures, as I think they were (at least in some cases) culturally appropriative or racially insensitive, but at the very least, I think those instances were kept to a relatively small part of the season. I also wasn't a fan of the 5 or 6 episode stretch where they got the Innocent Forms, but that's a relatively minor nitpick. I'm honestly really interested to hear what people generally hated about the season, because the thing that I would think could be most easily criticized hasn't been mentioned when people bring up their distaste of the season. If anyone has anything they'd like to add about what they didn't like, please lmk, as I'm super curious!

i was soooooo fortunate to be able to see yoongi twice on his dday tour 🥲 i had SO much fun at it too, i hope i can see the whole group one day 🥲 but my favorite part was getting to experience it with @aprylynn and also meet @kithtaehyung 🤍🤍🤍🤍🤍 i love the connections the most and he gave us that thumbs up!!!!!!! like i just. screaming people with everyone in that room is high up on my favorite moments of life list

This is "Truck Baumgardner" (his actual name is confidential. No one knows what her name is except for Truck). Truck serves as the music video director and cinematographer of Dethklok, having been with them since almost the beginning. He uses he/she pronouns

I'm still a little stuck on his voice claim but I'm mostly leaning to either Debbie Harry or Jen from Downtown (Tammy Lang). As of now, Jen has been a place holder voice claim.

She's very much a stoner lol (her and pickles are best friends and likes to do drugs together. They like to get drunk and high)

Speaking of Pickles and Truck, these two loved going to concerts together, mostly punk shows (Trucks favorite genre is Punk btw). The two don't do it often now since Dethklok is one of the biggest bands but they love going to bars and drinking. They're very close.

As of Fertilityklok (Season 3 episode), Truck and Toki are dating. They've been having a situationship

since probably season 1. The two do love each other, they just never said it until after the events in Fertilityklok which did make Truck a lil upset (the events in the episode I mean)

should I mention that Truck has died plenty of times in the past here too? Yeah she's immortal and has always been immortal since she was 15 after being burned alive by her father. He also knows Lucifer and likes to call him Lucy, mostly just to make him upset. She thinks it's funny.

The band all acknowledges the fact that Truck is immortal and they never talk about it. Ever since Murderface learned of this fact, Truck became this dummy for him to experiment with all of the weapons he has. The first time Toki saw Truck die, it was pretty traumatic for him since he didn't know about it. So often whenever Truck is alive, he just listens to her heartbeat to make sure he's alive.

Trucks death lore is a lil complex, if you would even call it that, it has rules. Okay, depending on the injury, Truck can be dead for at least a couple hours or for even an entire day. Though her body always rejuvenates or heals the injury in 24 hours/couple hours. It happens in real time too. I have no idea if that made any sense lol

Getting away from all the death stuff, Trucks relationship with the other band members follows as this; Truck sees Nathan as a Father figure, the only father figure in her life as her own father often neglected her. She sees Murderface as an annoying brother and the two often bicker. She has no hard feelings towards Murderface killing her because she doesn't remember it happening. Her and Skwissgaar I'm working on because I don't know, the two had a quiet falling out to say the least. They just don't talk to each other as much as they did back then.

Her relationship with Charles is professional, they do work together after all. Often Truck tells Charles the music video she has in mind for a Dethklok song/single. Dick Knubbler and Abigail still needs work but I know that Truck loves Abigail more than Knubbler and they love talking to eachother. Her and Magnus used to date but never worked out because they often fought and argued. I think of their relationship like Marceline and Ash from Adventure Time.

OnlyOneOf appreciation + concert experience

My love for OnlyOneOf is new but immense! I only discovered them recently but fell into them so fast and so hard that I decided to travel out of state to attend the last stop of their Grand America Tour!

A little over a month ago, my YouTube recommendations included a music video for "because" by Rie. As a BL enthusiast, I clicked because I saw two guys kissing in the thumbnail LOL, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good both the song and the video were. When I looked into it more, I found out that Rie is a member of OnlyOneOf, and that he was playing a couple in the MV with fellow member Junji! I also learned that "because" is the fourth in a series of six solo songs released by the group as part of their undergrOund idOl project, which explores themes of love and acceptance in support of the pride movement. The songs are all fantastic, each a different style to reflect their individuality, and the MVs, which feature the members paired off as couples, are beautifully shot and feel very intimate without fetishizing. I was so impressed with their music and the messages they were sending that I felt the need to look into them further.

In the comments on their solo videos, the song I saw mentioned most was libidO. I checked out the MV, then the "Guilty Pleasure" choreography video, and then a bunch of live performances. I was shooketh, it was soooooo sensual. I read that it received a lot of hate in Korea for being "controversial", but the boys stood by it and explained that the song is about a young man experiencing first love and exploring his sexuality, eventually deciding to leave it to instinct and primal desire aka libido. The MV and choreography express this concept perfectly, and honestly, it's so tastefully done in a way that is sexy, but not egregiously so, that I see no room for complaints.

I was hooked enough to do a deep dive into the rest of their discography where I found countless other songs, both title tracks and b-sides, that I loved. I'm not sure how to describe their sound in technical terms, but it's different and more experimental than most K-pop out there. They have a lot of songs that are mid-tempo, smooth, and sexy, and the way they process their vocals gives them this kind of ethereal, breathy effect. They have a very distinct sound and regardless of whether the song is an upbeat banger like seOul drift, a mid-tempo bop like gaslighting, or a slower, sentimental track like OnlyOneOf yOu, you can tell it's them. It's pretty niche, which unfortunately means less general public appeal and popularity, but I appreciate that they stay true to it and hope that one day it catches on. Either way, I was sold.

Of course, just because I like a group's music doesn't mean I go all out and commit myself as a fan. But I felt compelled to check out OOO's other content because I was curious about the group dynamics, seeing as how they seemed very comfortable acting as couples for their solo songs, libidO, and skinz. I'm sure this is true with most groups, but they are completely endearing crackheads! They are fun and silly, have great chemistry with each other (they are basically shipping themselves), and they show off their crazy abs on camera a LOT lol. I got sucked into them real quick.

One week later, I was pretty much a newborn lyOn club, and I was aware that they were touring in the US at that time. I still have huge regrets of not being able to see Seventeen in concert last year because I also found them while they were in the middle of their US tour, so I didn't want to experience the same thing with OOO and decided to check whether there were still tickets for any shows available. I live in Hawaii so it's not like I can just hop around the continent to see them, and I was in the middle of my busy season at work, so I had a lot of limiting factors. However, I saw that there were still general admission tickets for their show in LA, which was after my big work deadline. After finding a pretty good deal on airfare, I bit the bullet and bought concert tickets for me and my husband (bless him). YOLO, am I right??

In the few weeks before the the concert, I got more and more hyped and as I continued to fall even deeper into the lyOn den, I started to get a little greedy. I really wanted snapshot tickets for my two biases Nine and Yoojung. I was scouring Reddit and twitter in search of anyone selling, to no avail. But it's okay because two days before the concert, I was able to snag a VIP ticket from a kind Reddit user who was selling theirs because they could no longer attend the show. So even though I couldn't have individual polaroids with my favorites, I would be able to do a hi-touch with all of the members, plus a group photo! Ahhh!

04-30-2023 - GRAND AMERICA TOUR LOS ANGELES

The LA show was held at the Avalon Hollywood, a nightclub which doubles as a concert venue. We arrived at the venue and started lining up for VIP at around 4:15. Once they started letting VIP into the venue, my husband (again, bless this extremely supportive man) went to go stand in the general admission line while I went on ahead. I'm pretty shy and everyone around me was with another friend, so I didn't really talk to anyone while waiting. But once we got let into the room where the hi-touch and group photo were happening, the girls in front of me started freaking out so naturally I freaked out with them hehe. It was comforting because it was the first time doing hi-touch for all of us.

The hi-touch/group photo happened so fast, I wish I had a little more time to soak it in. I high-fived each member and definitely looked at them while I was doing it, but the only one who I can clearly remember now is Yoojung. The man is so beautiful that he dazzled me into remembering only his face, even over my number one bias Nine! xD For the group photo, I stood behind Junji and Yoojung and was probably cheesing so hard, I hope I come out looking okay in the photo lol. And that was it! But even in such a short time, I could sense the members' kindness and sincerity. They are seated for the group photo, but they stand up for the hi-touch and thank each fan as they go by. And then after the photo is taken and we're exiting, they stand up again and turn around to greet us on our way out. I was starstruck. Ugh, next time maybe I'll splurge for VVIP so I can get a few more seconds with each member~

The venue was standing only, so VIP got to enter after VVIP was all settled in. I'm a shortie, and I had done my research prior so there was a second-floor balcony that I was aiming for. Luckily, it was still open when I got in so I made a dash for it and secured a spot against the balcony railing, with an unobstructed view of the stage below. It was perfect for me and since the venue is small, I still felt so close. My husband joined me once general admission was let in and to his joy, there were couches behind us that he could rest on lol.

The concert itself was absolutely amazing! The boys, who I'm sure were exhausted as this was the last of an 18-stop tour over the course of one month, brought 110% of their energy to every performance. Before seeing them live, I was thinking that maybe some of their choreography just looks cool because of good camerawork, but I was wrong, they really are that cool. Moments I can't believe I saw in real life:

I had also seen someone on Reddit who was disappointed after attending OOO's first show because they felt they weren't singing live (I'm thinking it was a sound mixing issue rather than the members actually not singing), but for this concert I could definitely hear them over the backtrack and they were so good! During one of the breaks, they took requests to sing parts of songs that they wouldn't be performing, and this was another testament to how well they can sing. I was screaming because I got to hear a bit of byredO live.

Just as they gave their full energy for their songs, they did the same for their ments in between. They are so personable, sweet, and funny, and full of fan service! They also tried their best to speak in English when they could, which was extra endearing. And I may be delulu but they definitely waved in my general direction of the balcony a few times, so I excitedly waved back! At the end when they took the group photo with the audience, they accepted pride flags from fans and set it in front of them or draped it over their shoulders. The very last song was OnlyOneOf yOu and it was magical hearing them sing this beautiful number while the crowd held up their phone flashlights and swayed them to the beat. When they finally left the stage, I was overwhelmed with happiness, wishing the concert could go on for like three hours more, and a certfied lyOn. I'm totally rooting for OOO's success and hope they come back to America again someday soon!

NAMJOON'S PERSPECTIVE

My head has been foggy all day, I'm even more clumsy than usual and when I snuck away to take my temperature it was 39 degrees (102.2 fahrenheit). I know that's not good but I don't feel that bad so why worry everyone. I can't disappoint ARMY, I have to do the show tonight.

As we rehearse I keep treading on Jin's foot. "Ow! That hurt. That's the third time today Joon, are you alright?"

"What oh, yeah I was just distracted." I change the subject, "Is your foot okay?"

"Yeah, just be careful we don't want anyone getting hurt tonight, including you."

I nod, feeling a bit guilty. I should just go on and tell him but, what if they make me sit out of the show? I can't do that. I notice my vision getting slightly blurry and panic for a moment but the thought of seeing ARMY and impressing them lets me calm down and gives me the will to continue on.

When we get out on stage the fans scream and the sound assaults my ears leaving them ringing but slowly, I get used to it, the ringing gets louder and blocks out the screams. The first few songs go alright but I find myself struggling to keep up with the choreography. Despite being okay during rehearsal, I'm not able to match the frantic energy of a concert.

I just have to hold on until we have an outfit change so I can get some water and maybe some medication. But I don't think I'm going to make it that long.

Black dots obscure my vision, warping the image like snow on an old television or a crack on a computer screen slowly spreading until the entire screen is black and fuzzy. I stand helpless and dizzy as the once small dots consume everything. I'm sure I look like an idiot. I feel hot with embarrassment and then I hear a thump and then . . . nothing.

JIN'S PERSPECTIVE

The energy on the stage is everything we all look forward to. Wild and crazy, a long awaited get together between us and ARMY. Namjoon looks a little dazed at first but greets the audience with enthusiasm.

I almost don't remember I have a mic on and I struggle not to cry out in pain when Namjoon's boot clad foot stamps down hard on my own.

I shoot him a look, he doesn't seem to notice. He doesn't look like he's noticing much of anything. He's at least three steps behind in the choreography. What's going on? He looks around with an almost desperate look on his face, blinking intensely.

He begins to sway on his feet, crap! I break the formation and reach out to him, we both fall to the floor as he faints.

Jimin who was next to me looks over and lets out a confused squeak only amplified by his mic. Screaming erupts through the arena, this time in fear not excitement.

Luckily we've all been trained on what to do in this scenario. "Medic!" I shout and then more quietly to Hoseok, "Tell them he's just fainted."

He nods and uses his notoriously loud voice to reach over the screams and inform the crowd.

The medical staff appear and we all follow them backstage.

"He has an extremely high fever. Were any of you aware of this?"

"He was a bit out of it at rehearsal but other than that no, he didn't say anything." I say, feeling honestly a little mad. Mad at Namjoon for hiding this and not looking after his health, mad at myself for not noticing sooner.

"Okay, he'll need rest and fluids right away."

I nod and we step back letting the medics do their work. The medics have to stop a few times to allow Namjoon to throw up. I wince each time. Namjoon does drink some water but then falls asleep. At least he's getting some rest. He doesn't wake the entire time we're bringing him back to the hotel, letting me and one of the staff support his weight.

When he wakes up I instruct everyone not to crowd around him. I have to hold back my own frustration at his stubborn self-endangering behaviour.

He blinks his eyes open. I can't resist hugging him tightly.

"Jin?"

"Yes Joon-ah. You gave us and ARMY quite a scare."

I can see his eyes beginning to sparkle with tears, "I'm sorry."

"It's okay."

He sits up and wraps his arms around me, returning the hug.

"Is there anything I can get you? Some water, food?"

"No, I'm not feeling very hungry." He gives a small smile.

"Of course not." We stay hugging for a while.

I open my eyes to a morning sky out the window of the hotel, we must've fallen asleep together. A warm body shifts under me, Namjoon. 

"Oh sorry."

"It's okay." he says softly, voice almost nonexistent.

"Oh crap Joon, your voice. Is your throat okay?"

He nods then clears his throat heavily, "but my head feels funny."

I put my hand to his forehead worriedly luckily it isn't nearly as warm as before.

"Your temperature is down but you're probably going to be feeling pretty bad."

He just nods again. I can hear footsteps outside, it must be the others. Finally our surroundings register with me. We're in Joonie's room. Memories come back in flashes of the staff helping both of our sleepy forms into the hotel room for the night.

"Can we come in?" Hoseok asks softly.

"Yeah, could one of you also bring some tea for Joon, his voice is gone?"

"Oh, of course, Yoons will go." At his words I hear someone shuffle off, most likely the aforementioned man.

Namjoon starts to stand, probably to get the door, but he falls back on the bed clumsily. He looks embarrassed and I offer my arm. We walk slowly to the door and open it. 

The remaining members stand in the hall, all holding different things. Tissues, blankets, an extra bin. I cringe remembering Namjoon's horrible experience last night. He threw up five times. Hoseok had to leave the room. Namjoon blushes at the attention.

We all sit with our leader, who leans his head on my shoulder seemingly only moments from falling asleep again.

When Yoongi returns with the tea, I help Namjoon sit up.

"Thank you so much, hyungs, maknaes."

"Of course, how do you feel, hyung?" Jimin asks, taking the cup from Joon's slightly shaking hand.

"Woozy, I just want to lay down."

"Yes, you need rest. Do you think you could stand to eat something, Joonie?" I ask

He shakes his head vigorously paling a little at the mention of food.

"Understandable."

We both laugh a little. I hesitate. I don't want to scold him but we need to make sure this never happens again.

Hoseok must have read my mind. "Namjoon. Why didn't you tell us you weren't feeling well?"

"Oh. Uh . . . I-I" He looks down, avoiding our eyes or maybe to hide the tears forming in his own, "I didn't want to disappoint the fans. I'm the leader, afterall."

We all have the same thoughts and it's a mess of hands patting his back and shoulder and head, consoling him.

"Joon," Yoongi looks our leader in the eyes, "You're the youngest hyung, our baby, as much as Kook, Tae or Minnie, it's our job to look after you."

"You're never a bother, your health is more important than any show." Hoseok adds

"Yes, please next time tell us, you gave us and ARMY a big scare, poor Hoseok almost had a heart attack when you started puking."

"Ah, please don't mention that." Hoseok looks embarrassed and vaguely disgusted at the same time, he steps behind Yoongi. "Sorry, Joon. I know it isn't your fault, I just can't."

Namjoon nods, still a little teary.

"The medical staff said that if you'd said something earlier you may have even been able to take medication and be on stage with us at least. They think you should be able to do the next show or at least the one after that, besides, ARMY is happy to have you there, whether or not you perform. Next time don't push yourself so much, okay, hmm?"

"Okay."

We all nod, forming a large mass of bodies in a seven person group hug. We'll definitely be spying more attention from now on.

the rest of the performance didn't really click even though no one was bad at all. need maliya to be saved though like that's a Face

picking a winner is tough for this team because you have some singers who can't dance/perform & some dancers who don't sing as well. in truth pream, rjing, xueyao, and maybe maliya are the most balanced, but xueyao in particular didn't really stand out. pream stood out because of her center time, but this is far from her best (her presence is usually a lot stronger). maybe id go with rjing? but id need to see a full stage with no cuts

you have to suspend your disbelief a bit with these shows but i couldn't even pretend this was live & it's so distracting 😭 yuan ke & jessica are my next picks but i need them to focus more on facial expressions

my top 9?

honestly i've had a really hard time coming up with a group, if only because i genuinely like 47ish of the contestants (others i dont like or simply don't know). also, i do think it'd be nice for most of the group to be thai. i scrolled through the contestants and just picked the first 9 that i saw who made me go "yeah, you" lmfao and this is what i ended up with:

yean feels virtually indispensable at this point. she can dance, she's a great pop vocalist, and she can fit any concept. the show is also very on her side.

wang ke's performance in 7 rings convinced me of her star power (honestly she's been hit or miss to me until this point). wang ke didn't need to be the best singer or dancer to stand out on stage, it's her energy that really sets her apart and that's a hard skill to learn.

tegan...she's just a surprisingly strong contestant. i wasn't really a fan of how she acted during the theme song arc (all 7.5 minutes of it, lol) but i do understand that she was trying to lighten the mood. from the theme song to round one she showed that she really could hold her own on stage if she put her mind to it. other factors: star quality, demographic appeal, growth idolism, unique tone/strong vocals

rose is my underrated pick. she has a great voice and i think she can be styled to fit a number of concepts. she hasn't gotten much screentime, but i really hope she makes round 2, just to force the show to show more of her strengths. in some ways she's a little bit filler here, but i think she's necessary for the group to gel

ruan, our summer dream center...idk i just like her a lot. she suits different concepts and is super super hardworking & serious about this, while also being really kind. i want to see her learning/speaking more thai and english hopefully!

qiao yiyu is a talent & demographic pick (and one of my overall main picks at this point) she's another member who i see as indispensable. she's a main dancer who can fit multiple styles (but she's also for the girlies). in this pic she kinda looks like yuqi? lmfao

p.amp, my other totally biased pick 🥲 she's so gorgeous onstage and has so much presence i don't understand why the masses aren't seeing her 😭. she's a filler visual here but hot take, we don't need a wannabe gangsta rapper who can't dance self proclaimed quote unquote "real rapper" in the lineup when so many gg raps are pre-written and last for max 4 lines. p.amp can do it while dancing, being charming, and looking hot. i rest my case

geumhee is my pick of the csr members, although duna's rank is the best & seoyeon is the one getting a storyline. geumhee would be slightly filler here, but her singing ability would make her a lead vocal, and he experience and preexisting intl audience would make her indispensable. tbh she's the first member i personally noticed in csr, but i think that csr could live for a couple years without her and then benefit from her return.

mingming is good, although im generally on the fence about her. she has great lead vocal potential and is very likable. i kind of think the mindy members will be fine if none of them make it, but i do feel her voice is a little wasted there.

other contestants to consider:

pailiu! i really like her (and she's currently rank 2) but im not seeing a group that she fits into in the top ranks. maybe if maliya, jessica, xueyao, yuanke, p.amp, jaoying, etc were a bit higher. it's too soon to tell though i suppose

elyn's (#1) fanbase is really showing out for her considering the relatively minimal screentime she's had. her vocals aren't as strong as rose's, but she could potentially replace her in the lineup and add more (in terms of fan loyalty & demographic appeal).

emma not making my off the top of my head top 9 was really unexpected! i make the top 9 and then went wait where's emma? i think i would replace mingming with her, although honestly? emma's a star and should probably try to go to a company with some power, like perhaps yuehua china. for a survival show group, it's good that she stands out as an individual but in terms of cohesion...eh. she couldn't be filler, but she also probably couldn't be the star with the rest of this lineup. it's tough

absolutely LOVE krista's voice, but the reason i stopped voting for her is that she is kind of an absolutely miserable dancer. the great part is that she's super young, and can train to work on her dancing & her stage presence + facial expressions. krista (and others) make me wish that chuang was like produce japan, where the funding company (there lapone, here ryce) takes on trainees from the show for future permanent or temporary groups. krista would be a great candidate for that.

kitty, natty, & jaoying i noticed for the first time this round. i don't have much to say but they would be very solid filler members (not a drag, btw). im looking forward to seeing more of them!

yuan ke & wan yan jiayi are growing kind of indispensable if they want to have a foothold in china it seems. my personal pick would be yuan ke, but i think jiayi is moreso on the rise.

honestly i can imagine interactions between every single character ever so I TRIED REALLY REALLY HARD TO NARROW DOWN SOME SPECIFIC ONES BUT EVEN THEN ITS STILL SO LONG AND IM SORRY HDBFGHGD

ANDI (how did she get there and why, wears a one piece i guess???)

positive interactions: with OTHER OCS i think the most immediate positive interaction she could have is with billie, just because they are from the same universe and canonically have "grown up" together in a sense. could definitely see a heartfelt moment there on this vacation :] with other danganronpa characters.......... hm. chihiro is immediately coming to mind because she is polite and would likely be interested in what the hell is going on. KEEBO WOULD ALSO BE REALLY COOL I THINK two different forms of artificial life with very different views on how they see themselves and humanity. could be awesome.

negative interactions: extremely difficult to have a "negative" interaction with andi because she is literally siri however if any of my ocs were to reach that then ummmmmmmmm ryobe. ryobe and maybe naomi bc shes just soooooo uncomfortable with it hfbjdg. for other danganronpa characters i can see a similar chihiro situation with miu where shes really interested in what makes andi tick however ..................... shes miu . so it will not be appropriate. and this isnt exactly negative but i can see her and kirumi getting stuck in this endless loop of "no, let me take care of YOU".

BILLIE (hates wearing a swim suit and acts so out of place half of the time, long swim shirt and board shorts)

positive interactions: with my ocs hmmmmm i can really see sae acting in a big sister kinda sense!!! theyre both a bit more mellow as well lol so they'd get along, not to mention they have this back and forth and being the listener vs talking a lot. i could also see billie and naomi relating to each other-- they probably meet each other bc theyre both hiding in the restaurant trying to get away from the noise LMAO. and with other danganronpa characters hmmmmmmmmm anybody who is chill. RANTARO ACTUALLY WOULD BE REALLY GOOD she would love his style so bad. AND ALSO NEKOMARU. JESUS CHRIST I CAN REALLY SEE HER AND NEKOMARU

negative interactions: with my ocs MIKA LOL. two ultimate lucky students both insecure as hell and not super chatty, one of them would say something vaguely catty and theyd be so petty the rest of the time LMFAO. also pippy because she is super loud and in her face. billie would be overwhelmed by a LOT of the danganronpa characters so unless theyre really nice she'd probably not get along with a lot of them hbfdjgbjdsghdjf. she would hate kokichi because she keeps getting wrapped up in his tricks but she just ....... keeps falling for it.................

ERIN/PIPPY (very loud and bouncy, frilly one piece swimsuit!!)

positive interactions: she'd get along with anybody who has high energy!!!! ryobe and her would go off into a corner and film a bunch of tiktok videos or something LMFAOOOOO but they'd be chill. her and naomi also already strangely get along just because she's very optimistic and tries to get naomi to talk to more people!! ibuki is a SOLID interaction (ibuki teaches her how to play more songs that arent strictly on brand!!), and i can ALSO see pippy and angie getting along like a house on fire. ALSO NOT NECESSARILY POSITIVE but for some reason i can see her and yasuhiro fucking around LMAO

negative interactions: pippy is definitellyyyyy not for the faint of heart so i can see a few people getting pretty quickly annoyed!! ummmmm i think she'd see a little too much of herself in kokichi LMAO and that interaction would turn sour real fast. she'd really struggle to play off of teruteru because she's so kid friendly and theyd both leave with odd tastes in their mouths. fuyuhiko/byakuya/maki would HATE her ass. ESPECIALLY maki because she would have no clue who pippy was and pippy would immediately without hesitation go "yeah you're unlike ANY child caregiver ive ever seen lol!!!!!!!!!! its almost like youre lying or something"

MIKA (she's pretty chill most of the time, two piece swimsuit with wrap around skirt)

positive interactions: she's nice enough, just not particularly chatty with the ultimates! her and yoshito are the most obvious pairing here, but she would also be pretty into sae i reckon. i can weirdly see her and maki having a bit of a rapport............ she'd also be pretty chill with hajime. just hanging out lol

negative interactions: wouldn't get along with makoto despite him probably not feeling as negatively about her lmao, for the same reason her and billie don't really get along!! same with nagito but mika would probably find more reasons to dislike him than just "i am insecure about my talent and you are a projection of that" lol. anybody who approaches her way too quickly with a "YOU NEED TO JOIN IN NOW!!!!" attitude would also deter her, which probably means she doesnt like kaito, nekomaru, POSSIBLY kaede all too much. and i think that kaito one would LASTTTT theyd just get so petty for some reason LMFAOOSDO

NAOMI (wow there sure are a lot of people here huh!!!! full body swimsuit)

positive interactions: she's very wary about who shes with even when she is supposed to be relaxing on a beach, which means it'd be a bit more difficult for her to make a whole lot of friends!! people like sae and rie are good just bc theyre pretty damn patient lol! i can also see her getting along with aoi over their respective athleticism. hell probably even ryoma too, also because they both got pretty fucked over in the backstory department lmfao. nekomaru and akane would scare the absolute shit out of her but if they were persistent enough i could see them being friends!!! also strangely i can see her and korekiyo????

negative interactions: anybody too loud or abrasive would frighten her, and that applies to a lottttt of danganronpa characters lmao. she's also fairly standard in that anybody mean or harsh would pretty quickly throw her off, so people like byakuya or hiyoko would definitely not get along with her!! on the opposite end of that spectrum i think if you put naomi and mikan in the same room together they would just meekly stand there until one of them starts hyperventilating

RIE (glamorous bikini and hair accessories, does NOT go in the water ever because she can't ruin her hair lmao)

positive interactions: this is rie's MOMENT. people pleaser to the MAX. honestly she can get along with soooooo many of these people if only because she just agrees with whatever the hell they're telling her. her and sayaka could have some pretty serious conversations about getting to where they are + their families i reckon :) her and sonia could be cool (pageant royalty versus ACTUAL royalty). her and mikan could be cute if only because rie is very very nice to her lol. and im afraid tenko would actually fall in love with her

negative interactions: junko would get so sick of her whole shtick IMMEDIATELY. and also i do not know why i really really do not know why but for some reason i just think her and toko would not get along at all lmao???????????

RYOBE (bathing shorts and unbuttoned shirt)

positive interactions: he's just a fucking goofball .......... he's going around with a watergun and shooting at anybody he can find......... he's easy to make friends with in a scenario where there is no killing game!! billie would think he's really funny and him and sae could idk go smoke a blunt or smth. he'd LOVE ibuki (and ANY cheerful character frankly), he'd reach out to a lot of the meeker characters so i can see him and chihiro/shuichi/mikan developing a bit of a rapport. him and kokichi are a dangerous ass pairing LMAO

negative interactions: any "no-nonsense" character would pretty quickly get irritated with him, so taka immediately fjkdgfjg. byakuya also................... he'd probably get on fuyuhiko's nerves pretty quick

SAE (board shorts and sports bra, always in that damnnnn water)

positive interactions: she's pretty easy-going, so i can see a lot more positive interactions than negative! she's a great listener to anybody who likes to ramble (tenko immediately comes to mind, i think saes wisdom could really balance out that dynamic. same with gundham honestly lmao), but she also appreciates anybody willing to do the same in return :) honestly i can see her going on old man rambles to shuichi or kyoko a lot ahbjfdhg. also her and sakura would be instant best friends. like they would never leave that fucking dock they would just sit there and be all wise and shit

negative interactions: saes pretty damn patient so a lot of these are NEUTRAL at best-- making her upset at you is a taskkkk, especially in a non-killing game scenario. anybody purposefully trying to push her buttons (hiyoko, kokichi) would be irritating for sure!! and while she doesnt take an IMMEDIATE distaste to people quick to violence (more often she just kinda sighs and tries to deter them), immediate violence against HER ticks her off. while i can see them becoming friends in the future, i think akanes immediate response of going "hey YOU look strong FIGHT ME NOW!!" might raise a whole lot of alarms in saes brain fghdkjgh

YOSHITO (board shorts and a short-sleeve swim shirt!!)

positive interactions: he's pretty easy to get along with! a bit of a pushover lmfaoo. he ALSO has a whole complex about trying to help people, which means he will gravitate to anybody who looks really sad or upset. he definitely talks to billie and naomi lol, probably also shuichi and toko!! could see some funny interactions between him and kaito, just because they're both trying to be encouraging forces but have pretty different ideas of what "being a hero" might mean!!!

negative interactions: his "i can fix you" mentality surely does not work on EVERYBODY hgdkgfjkgfg. kazuichi tries to make a joke like "yeah hahah my dad sucks" and immediately yasuhiro goes "Kazuichi it is Okay to be Hurt." totally kills the mood
