Actually wait, I’ll post a few Yellowfang headcanons right now. perfect way to start because my headcanons are Not going to be canon compliant. anyways my first one is that Yellowfang’s Secret isn’t canon. Just throw it out the window, it’s not canon to me and I don’t care about it.

-Yellowfang was given her current name by Brokenstar to be derogatory and call her gross, probably when he exiled her. Her original name was Shadeclaw

-She didn’t have empathy powers because... what?? She became a medicine cat of her own will after realizing that she was tired of battling and wanted to heal. 

-Her mom isn’t Brightflower because while i like the drama of Yellowfang being accused of murdering her own siblings, Yellowfang is like... described to be The Oldest Bitch Alive basically in the first book and unless her mom was super young when she had her, i just don’t find it very feasible. Also her mom turning on her with little convincing and holding on to the grudge for so long also strikes me as weird in this context. not “oh she deserves the dark forest” weird like the Erins said, but just not something i find convincing at all for her to turn on Yellowfang THAT much, and it’s not like they did much of anything with Brightflower being her mom in this context anyways besides the very end. So in my head her parents are undefined and probably died long before the first arc.
