Hey!! I love your writing. Can you do a Yandere! Ranboo, Tommy , and tubbo. where they are all in love with the reader and they kidnapped her to ‘keep her safe’ and the reader doesn’t know at first, then she slow realized they are obsessed with her. she like them back but she also want to live her life, so she tries to make agreement? You don’t have to if you don’t want to.

The Ranboo gif is just beautiful and I love it. Lemme see what I can do for ya! I wrote a bullet point Platonic fic if that's fine? I'm still worried about writing the minors in romantic relationships, even if it's the characters.
Sorry, it took so long... My burnout got really bad and I refused to even write basic stuff. But I'm back now! Well. Mostly.
Safe Behind Glass (Yandere!Plat!C!Bench Trio x GN!Reader)
You were a little groggier than normal when you awoke, but it was nothing to alarm you immediately.
Just simply brushing it off as you weren't feeling the best that day, you rolled over to fall back to sleep, but quickly noticed something wrong.
It didn't feel... Right?
The blankets... The mattress... The pillow... They weren't yours...
You peeled your eyes open and your expression went blank with fear.
The room was beautiful mind you.
But it wasn't yours either.
You were laying on a fluffy (f/c) canopy bed, surrounded by quartz walls that were dimly lit soul lanterns that prevented you from being completely swallowed by darkness.
Slowly dragging yourself off the bed, you heard a metal 'clunk' that hit the cold quartz flooring below you.
Turning your head to face downwards, you saw that a decently thick metal chain was cuffed to your ankle.
Somehow, your panic became worse as you immediately grabbed onto it and started to yank on the solid metal, but it refused to budge.
You had no idea how many minutes or hours you spent in that room. Reaching at the iron door desperately, yanking at the chain around your ankle that kept you from reaching the exit, searching the blue lanterns for anything...
But then, the white metallic door slowly swung open, revealing Ranboo, Tubbo and Tommy.
You weren't that close to them, save for a couple interactions here and there, but hey, they came to save you! That didn't matter in the slightest!
You almost cried upon seeing them and moved to walk over, but the chain stopped you from reaching them, and you noticed that they weren't moving to help you.
"You're awake!" Tubbo chirped softly, his tan goat ears wiggling with joy, "I'm glad the potion didn't stick for too long... You could've wound up starving if you stayed asleep."
Horror slowly began to set into your heart as Ranboo nodded and walked over to the dark oak table in the corner of the room and set down a basket of food.
"Ran...Boo...?" You whispered, watching as the monochrome male turned and curiously tilted his head in your direction, "Why... Am I here?"
Instead, Tommy stepped in front of you with a bright cheesy smile, the same one that resembled when he would find a new disc or start a new adventure, "For your safety, (N/n)!"
"Safety?" You choked out softly, Ranboo quickly guiding you to sit in the oak chair, "But... I'm one of the richest people on the server... I have god armour... Nothing could kill m-"
"Techno and Dream can." Tubbo interrupted sharply, halting you mid-sentence.
Right... That masked man... Or whatever he was... He was extremely dangerous, as well as Techno. They could likely pierce your netherite chest plate without even flinching at the number of thorns you had enchanted.
"We don't want anyone to bring you any harm... There's no problem with that, right, (Y/n)?" Ranboo smiled, flashing his sharpened teeth unthreateningly.
No... You wanted to say, but you wanted freedom! You wanted to expand your house to the size of a mansion! You wanted to bicker with Quackity about the stupidest of things! You wanted to get building advice from Phil!
Not be locked away because your safety was a tiny bit compromised!
"Tommy... Tubbo... Ranboo... Please, I'm not going to just stay locked away because I-"
"You'll see things our way soon... Eat up, get your rest." Tubbo smiled and gave you a hug, ignoring how you froze suddenly, before turning and skipping out of the room with the taller two following behind him.
Despite... How screwed up the three were with their methods of making you be their friend, it was working...
They were actually incredibly friendly and funny. It made life in capture bearable! Even though you were incredibly snappy and cruel to them in the beginning, they never held it against you.
Although... Despite their kindness and your quickly blooming friendship, you still had a craving to go outside. Even if what the three told you about everyone forgetting you existed was true.
"You look sad, (N/n)..." Tubbo murmured softly, watching you stare off into the blank quartz wall, "Are you okay?"
Tommy straightened up from his handmade scribble of a map, turning his head towards you in confusion. Ranboo stopped writing mid-word likely and looked in your direction as well.
They never liked it when you were upset.
You pursed your lips silently for a moment, clearly unsettling the males around you, "I just... Haven't been feeling too great... Both mentally and physically I mean... I need sunlight..."
"Yeah... I was reading about that earlier..." Ranboo hummed softly, adjusting his crown as he looked up at the ceiling, "But the issue is..."
"My safety... Yes, I know. What if, I wear my full netherite armour and keep a totem AND a Rapple on me? And also not leave your sides?" You bargained nervously.
That hadn't worked before. But then again, You weren't as close to them before...
The silence that fell upon the room was unsettling and caused your heart to race quickly. If they didn't like what you said, you would be alone for a few straight days... You didn't like it...
"Okay."
What.
That worked?
You just had to ask?!
You watched as Tubbo stood up and pulled the small ender chest from his pocket and set it on the ground, causing it to grow to normal size.
Standing aside, he made a gesture for you to open it and get your stuff.
Hesitantly, You walked over and kneeled down in front of the ender chest. Looking to Tubbo and the others for confirmation, you slowly opened it once they nodded.
Carefully, you began pulling out your armour but paused seeing the lack of golden apples and totems.
Right... Before you had gotten kidnapped by the group, you had used a totem when you fell into the L'Manhole where L'Manberg once was.
That what caused them to kidnap you...
"I-I used... My totem... And Fundy stole my Rapple..." You murmured hesitantly, feeling ready to cry.
Your only chance to escape and you couldn't grab it...
"Hey! Hey! Don't cry! Here!" Ranboo eagerly held the two golden items out towards you at the first sight of tears gathering under your eyes.
"What...?"
"(Y/n)! We want you to be happy! If being outside, even with god armour, rapples and totems, makes you happy, then damn well we're bringing you outside!" Tommy grinned.
After a few tears and lots of hugs, Tubbo helped you hop into your armour while Ranboo unlocked the chain cuff from around your ankle. Tommy had left, leaving the door open for once, going to scout the area for any dangerous mobs.
"Ready?" Ranboo smiled, linking one of his arms with yours, the one that you held the totem in to be more specific. Tubbo happily linked his arm with the other one.
You could only nod, your voice caught in your throat as they began to walk you out the door, Ranboo had to duck down a lot, before leading you to the quartz stairway.
Once up the stairs, Tubbo pressed in a code to the iron door and it slid open quickly, causing you to flinch and pinch your eyes shut at the bright painful light of the sun.
It took about twenty minutes of trying to adjust to the sunlight with the two males encouraging you before you were able to look around.
It was everything you had missed...
The sunlight...
The trees...
God, it was perfect...
Tommy eventually came out of the tree line and sat down beside you as you took it all in...
Months, you were down there. And sure, they gave you plenty of decorations to prevent you from experiencing sensory deprivation, nothing could ever compare to the beauty of the outside world.
A voice cut through the air -calling for someone or something named Fran?- and you almost didn't recognize it. But then the owner came out of the trees, almost a similar direction that Tommy came from earlier.
Sam? He looked so... Different now...
The creeper hybrid slowly lowered his gas mask to show his mouth dropped in shock, "(Y/n)...? You're alive...?"
Tommy, Tubbo and Ranboo were freaking out, trying to bring you back into the bunker, as they called it, but you weren't budging. You hadn't seen another being in ages... And while you did platonically love the three boys, you enjoyed hearing a new voice.
"You... Remember me? But... Tubbo you said-" You frowned at the goat hybrid as they stopped suddenly, realizing that you weren't moving.
"You three... Kept them locked away... For almost an entire year?" Sam's voice was getting a little bit scary now, but it wasn't directed at you, instead, at your best friends...
"Sam! It was to protect them! Please!" Ranboo tried, but he wasn't making it better.
"You made Quackity believe they ran away... Made Philza wake up every morning and walk through the SMP for any signs of them... Gave Puffy false information on where you have last seen them... lied to everyone... Only to be the reason that they were gone." Sam growled out, gripping his trident, "Then you proceeded to make them think we all forgot about them..."
"S-Sam... You've got this all wrong big man..." Tubbo tried next...
The warden wasn't listening as he pointed his trident at them, his communicator in his other hand next to his mouth, then he started speaking, causing his voice to come out of Ranboo's, Tubbo's and Tommy's pockets. He was speaking on the public channel.
"Tommy Innit, Tubbo Underscore, Ranboo Beloved... You are being placed in the prison, Pandora's Vault, for keeping (Y/n) (L/n) imprisoned in a bunker and lying about their whereabouts."
It felt like someone splashed you with cold water...

Sweet as Cyanide-Dream
This is a Dream x gn!reader in the dreamsmp! This follows cannon (ish), but does not follow cannon dialogue. For my own sake, I have written my own dialogue for the scenes that happen in this imagine. I just have a really hard time copying dialogue like that and I really enjoy writing my own stuff like this. I hope that is okay and I hope you all enjoy!
You can find a part two here!
Check out my masterlist here!
The whole server thinks that Y/N is being forced to stand by Dream’s side, but they couldn’t be more wrong. They all believe they’re just a sweet innocent creature, but many times people forget that sweet things can be poisonous.
Y/N’s POV
For everything Dream has done, I have stood right beside him. Both figuratively and literally. I have supported just about every decision Dream has made for the Dreamsmp. I have also stood beside him while he made these decisions in the physical sense. Many times when Dream would go ‘overboard’ or ‘crazy’ I would ‘reel him back in’ making myself seem sweeter and more approachable to those who dared oppose my lover. When Tommy was exiled, I went with Dream on his daily visits and when Dream forced Tommy to put everything he had in a hole, I would convince Dream to let Tommy keep one thing so he wouldn’t have to completely restart. I was Dream’s other half… Dream’s better half.
Oftentimes I would be questioned as to why I was with him. Many didn’t believe me when I told them the truth. They came up with the idea that Dream held me captive and forced me to be with him, which wasn’t true at all. The truth is I love Dream. I love him with all my heart. I also love the power that comes with being Dream’s lover. Nobody questioning my decisions or my orders. Being treated with respect because everyone was too scared to face my boyfriend wrath… Well almost everyone.
Tommy never seemed to fear Dream. Tommy stood his ground, fought for what he believed in, and never gave in easily to Dream unless something that he truly cared for was being threatened. That’s why Dream wanted to put a stop to it, once and for all. Together we built a base, far away from the main area of the SMP. Somewhere we could keep everyone’s prized possession, but mostly Tommy’s prized possession, the discs. The discs meant everything to Tommy, literal wars have been fought over them. Which is why we had to keep them safe. After the base was built and filled, Dream invited Tommy and Tubbo to ‘talk’. I waited underground as the three of them fought.
I waited in anticipation in my little seat I had made as the elevator descended. There stood a gobsmacked Tommy and Tubbo and a smirking Dream. I could hear Dream giving his big speech over how he had everything anyone cared for in this lair. “The discs!” Tommy exclaimed, rushing forward, carefully stepping on the gold shrine built for the discs. Tommy reached out to grab one of the discs, but was quickly cut off, “I wouldn’t do that if I were you,” My eyes drifted over to Dream who now had a sword to Tubbo’s throat. Tommy’s eyes widened and he quickly walked back off of the shrine.
“Follow me boys, let me show you something,” Dream called, letting go of Tubbo and walking toward, what I have been calling, “The Hall of Attachments”. Tommy’s eyes scanned the room and locked with mine, “Y/N?” He whispered, causing me to nod and stand up. “You better do as he says Tommy,” I chimed sweetly at the boy, “You wouldn’t want anyone to get hurt, would you?” I questioned with a small pout on my lips. Tommy quickly shook his head no before following after Dream to walk down the hall.
I followed lazily behind the three as Dream showed off everything that the two of us had collected. Techno’s favorite axe, Sapnap’s beloved fish, Wilbur’s best friend, and even Tommy’s adored cow, Henry. “We have it all down here Tommy. Everything everyone cares about. The thing that they are attached to the most. It’s here. I control it.” Dream announced with a huge smirk on his face. Tommy quickly turned to me with wide eyes, “Y/N you’re dating a psychopath. You must realize that right?” Dream’s laughter didn’t give me a chance to answer, “You say psycho, I say dedicated… Now I have one final piece of business to attend to.”
Dream drew his sword and looked at Tubbo, “I’m going to have to kill you now Tubbo. It’s the only way,” “NO!” Tommy screamed, moving in front of his best friend. “NO! I won’t let you do it. You say you need me on this server? If you kill Tubbo, I’ll kill myself. Then what big man?” “Tommy. It’s alright. It’s time,” Tubbo said gently, slightly breaking my heart. “Move Tommy,” Dream demanded, going to move forward. I quickly reached out and grabbed his wrist, “Dream. Let them say goodbye at least,” I slightly begged, looking him in the eyes, hoping he would get the message. If they got to say goodbye, maybe Tommy would be more complacent and compliant. Dream gave me a small nod before turning back to the two boys, “Since Y/N asked so nicely, you two can say your goodbyes. We’re going to give you a few minutes. Make use of that time.” I threw the boys an ‘I’m so sorry’ look as Dream dragged me over to the corner.
“How do you think it’s going?” Dream whispered, glancing at the two boys. I gave a half shrug with a small smile, “They seem to be following along just fine and it seems that they’re actually going along with the plan. Although, it does make me a bit sad. Are you sure we have to kill Tubbo?” I asked, looking over at the two boys that were hugging very tightly. Dream rolled his eyes and grabbed my other hand, “You know I do sweetness. If there were any other way, you know I’d do it. But this is the way it has to be.” I let out a sigh and gave a slight nod in understanding.
We watched the two boys hug for a few moments more, Tubbo mumbling words of reassurance to his best friend… his brother before they both turned to the corner where Dream and I stood. Tubbo gave us a little nod and we approached. I was in front of Dream and I wrapped my arms around the small boy and hugged him tight to my chest, kissing the top of his head. “I’m so sorry,” I murmured in the boy’s ear. A small shrug bounced off the boys shoulders, “It’s alright, Goodbye Y/N,” “Goodbye Tubbo.”
I let go of Tubbo and moved to stand next to Tommy, wrapping a comforting arm around him. Dream moved and took his place standing before Tubbo, drawing his sword. “Sorry, Tubbo. This is the way it has to be, you understand,” Dream smirked, bringing his arm back to stab the young boy, but it never moved forward.
“Sorry Dream,” The familiar voice of Punz called out from the nether portal that we had built in this base. All of our heads snapped to the man who stood alone in the purple magic. “Punz?” Dream questioned, really confused as to why his most loyal pawn had appeared and was apologizing, “Sorry Dream,” He repeats taking a few steps forward, “You should have paid me more.” I felt my breath stop in my throat as almost everyone came through the nether portal. “You came!” Tommy cheered, a tear streaming down his face as he looked at the members with overwhelming joy.
Dream, thrown off by the sudden appearance of everyone, lost concentration on Tubbo. “The discs!” Tommy screetchs, ripping himself from my side, running to one shrine, “Tubbo the other!” Tubbo, using Dream’s distraction to his advantage, bolted to the shrine. Together the boys ripped the discs off the shrines and placed them into the ender chests that were placed beside them. Dream turned and glared at the boys. Tommy catching sight of this screams, “Get behind them!” Tommy ran past me and grabbed my wrist and pulled me behind every one decorated in enchanted netherite armor, weapons on display.
Dream slowly turned back around to face the server. “Oh… Hey guys…” Dream greeted everyone awkwardly. “Dream, what the hell is this place?” Puffy questioned, glaring at the man before her. Dream awkwardly shuffled, glancing around, making quick eye contact with me, before looking back to Puffy. “Well… This is my base,” He answered. I watched everyone look around the place, most of their gazes falling on the Hall of Attachments. “And what is that?” Someone asked, pointing to the hall.
Dream remained silent, not telling. “Go on Dream,” Tommy urged, taking a few steps toward my boyfriend, “Tell them. Tell them what you told me.” Dream still remained silent again, looking down to the ground. “Tell them Dream!” Tommy boomed, bursting through the crowd. “Tell them how all you care about is power. Tell them you are controlling their things so that you can control them! Go on! Tell them!” Tommy demands. “Tommy,” Dream attempts to console the child, but Tommy wasn’t listening.
At this point everyone was slowly looking through the hall, seeing everything that the two of us had collected over the months. Dream makes his way to the front of the group, “Guys, listen!” He says, attempting to get everyone to stop, but it was clear that no one was on his side. “Sapnap, can I borrow a pickaxe?” I heard Tommy question from behind the crowd. There was a moment of silence before Tommy pushed his way to the front, pickaxe now in his hand. “Here Dream,” He said, punching a hole in the ground. “Put your things in this hole,” I couldn’t help the small gasp that escaped my lips. Tommy looked over his shoulder at me before turning back to Dream, “And you know what. Because your girlfriend was so kind to me in exile, I’ll let you keep one thing,” Tommy announced.
“Tommy, please,” Dream attempted to reason again. Tommy was having none of it. “One thing,” he punched, “The rest in this hole.” Dream hesitated, but obeyed. He stripped everything, but his helmet off of his body and threw the rest in the hole Tommy had created. “Good boy,” Tommy taunted before jumping down the hole and collecting everything. Tommy came back up from the hole wearing Dream’s armor and wielding Dream’s sword.
“Now what?” Dream asked. If I were anyone else, I wouldn’t have been able to tell. But Dream was nervous. His whole plan was just foiled, the entire SMP had literally come crashing down on him. Tommy, of all people, had just robbed him of his things leaving him utterly defenceless. “What now? Now… Now I think I’ll kill you with your own weapons,” Tommy pretended to ponder before taking a swing at Dream. From the way Dream reeled back, I could tell that the blow did a lot of damage.
“Tommy stop!” Dream cried, attempting to run away from the 16 year old. Tommy chased after Dream, swinging wildly after the man. I watched with baited breath as Tommy eventually caught up to Dream and killed him. I didn’t even have to look at my arm to know that Tommy had taken a cannon life.
Everyone was in shock at what had just happened. Tommy, the youngest person on the server, had just killed Dream. The man that demanded to be viewed as a God. The elevator sounded, causing everyone’s attention to shift. Dream came back down, staring at Tommy in both anger and shock. I could tell Dream wanted nothing more than to take Tommy’s last life, but there was no way he could.
“Tommy, we’re friends. Aren’t we? Can we please talk-” Tommy didn’t let him finish. Instead he let out a roar before running forward and striking yet another blow. This time when Dream ran away, Tommy pulled out Dream’s crossbow and shot him, taking yet another cannon life. My heart thudded in fear. I knew Tommy was angry and I knew he also wanted nothing more than to take my boyfriend’s last cannon life. “Come down Dream,” Tommy called in anger when the elevator didn’t return back down. “Face me like the man you claim to be. Let me-” I couldn’t stop myself.
I raced forward and placed a soft hand on Tommy’s upper arm, “Tommy, please. Please don’t do this.” My words visibility softened Tommy. Tommy’s arms fell and he lowered the crossbow and looked over to me. I batted my eyelashes innocently as I asked, “Can you please just let him talk to everyone. He could tell everyone what he’s done. His master plan. Plus, he has something else he has to share with you and if you kill him again, you’ll lose it forever. Just would you please let him come down?” Tommy gave me a soft short nod. “Yeah, anything for you Y/N.” I returned Tommy’s smile before turning my head up to the elevator and called, “Dream. It’s okay. Come down.”
It was silent for a moment before the elevator sounded once more and Dream appeared again. Once he was down, he took a few steps off of the elevator and looked around sheepishly. “Are you ready to talk?” I asked gently, causing Dream’s eyes to snap to me. We held a silent conversation, I mentally told him the jig was up. It was time to tell all. The worst they could do was leave. Dream let out a sigh and nodded. “First come here,” Tommy demanded. Having nothing, Dream had to obey. Tommy built an obsidian wall around Dream and finished it off by placing a block in front of him, making it so he couldn’t get out. “Go on, tell them.”
And so he did. Dream spilled everything. Everything about the hall, how he wanted power and he was willing to do anything to get it. He told about how horrible to Tommy, Dream was in exile. Dream told about how he was the one who blew up the community house. He claimed that if something awful happened, it was probably him. Dream even spilled about the book that JSchlatt had given Dream, the one that made him switch sides. Dream told that if he were to lose his last cannon life, Wilbur would be gone forever… Anyone that had lost their lives would be gone forever…
That being said, he left me out completely. He left out that it was our plan. That we were in this together. I silently cursed and thanked him. I wanted us to be together in everything, but I also knew that nothing was going to get accomplished if nobody trusted either of us. I had to remain this perfect picture of innocence. I had to be sweet. I couldn’t be poisonous.
It was silent for a while after he spilled everything. “Team meeting,” Tommy announced, turning around. Everyone was very confused as to what the hell he was talking about. “Everyone, gather round,” he demanded, waving his arms. Everyone piled into a big, tight knit circle, sending one another confused looks. “What do we do with him now. He has to be punished, but we cannot take his last life, but he cannot walk around freely” Tommy explained, looking around at everyone. No one spoke up… I knew what I had to.
I looked to Sam as if I had a sudden idea, “the Prison,” I whispered. A look of recognition flashed over his face as he nodded, “Yeah. It would be perfect, it’s complete and it’s something he made me build. The symbolism… Incredible, getting locked in his own inescapable prison.” Everyone murmured amongst themselves in confusion. Oh, that’s right. No one knew about it. “We’ll explain later. But it’s perfect and we won’t have to worry about him. I’ll escort him there myself,” Sam claimed before turning back to my trapped boyfriend.
“Dream, for your crimes against the server, you’re under arrest. You will be escorted to the inescapable prison you had me build and will be in there until for an undetermined amount of time.” Sam announced boldly, moving to the obsidian. Dream’s eyes widened at his words. We certainly didn’t plan for this. Sam began breaking the obsidian to from him trap and I could only watch.
“Y/N,” Niki whispered, jarring me out of my thoughts. I turned to face the sweet girl and she immediately pulled me into a hug. She was trying to console me, after all, everyone believed that I was with him against my own will. I wrapped my arms around her, hugging her back. “I’m so sorry it took us this long. But you’re free now” She claimed. I mentally laughed at her words. Sure, to them I was free but I honestly had never felt more trapped. Swallowing harshly, I nodded, “It’s okay Niki. I’m okay now. Thank you,” I forced out, trying to sound as nice as possible.
Niki pulled back and gave me a sweet smile, nodding. “No problem sweetheart. And if you need anything, please don’t hesitate to reach out to any of us.” I faked a sweet smile and nodded, “Yeah, will do… Hey, I think I’m going to walk with Sam to escort Dream to prison, just to make sure that 1. He doesn’t try anything and 2. That he actually gets locked up… An ease of mind thing,” I explained to Niki. She immediately nodded, “Yeah, sure thing. How about afterwards you come by the bakery and we can make cookies together.” I nodded and gave her another smile, “Sounds good Nik. I’ll see you there then.”
I quickly walked over to Sam and a now handcuffed Dream. “I’m going to go with you, just to be sure,” I explained quickly, seeing Sam’s confused face. Sam looked me up and down before giving a nod. “Alright, we’re going to head out,” He announced to everyone. Heads turned back to us and they’re eyes followed us as we walked to the nether portal. I gave a small wave as the three of us disappeared in the purple magic.
The walk to the prison was silent. Dream didn’t have much to say considering how we couldn’t really talk about a plan in front of Sam. Sam also didn’t have much to say, there being a slight tension as we walked. All the way there, my thoughts were going wild. I spent the entire time thinking of a way out of this. But I couldn’t come up with one, at least not right now while everything was still so new.
Sam let me enter the prison. In fact, he let me go as far as being in Dream’s cell. “Hey, I know you’re really not supposed to, but I’ll give you all my things and stuff but could I just get a moment alone with Dream?” I asked as sweetly as I could, batting my eyelashes, praying he would say yes. Sam hesitated for a moment before he stuck out his arms. I piled everything from my inventory into his arms, moving so that he could see that I had in fact given him everything before he left the cell with the promise he would be back soon.
As soon as Sam was out of sight and ear shot, I rushed forward and engulfed my boyfriend in a hug. “I’m so sorry,” I muttered into Dream’s shoulder as I clutched him. “It’s not your fault. I should have seen this coming. Who knew Punz would be the one to betray me,” Dream spit in anger, not directed at me. “Doesn’t make me less sorry… What do we do now?” I asked, pulling myself ever so slightly out of his arms. “Lay low for a while,” He commanded, “Everyone will be checking up on you because I just got thrown in jail. Make sure to act as happy as possible, you’re free after all,” He claimed with a dark chuckle. “We’ll figure something out. A prison break of some sorts. It may take a long time. But we’ll do it okay. You and me,” “You and me,” I confirmed.
The rest of our time alone was spent in a tight embrace. Our plan had fallen apart. I wouldn’t be able to visit much due to the fact I was supposed to be acting happy that Dream was in his own prison. Once we could hear Sam’s footsteps, we pulled apart. I pressed a rushed kiss to Dream’s lips before stepping away from him just in time. “Alright Y/N, it’s time to go.” I nodded and moved to stand beside Sam. Sam pressed a button and iron bars came up, locking Dream in a cage. Sam then pressed another button and lava began to flow from the ceiling. Right before he disappeared from view, Dream mouthed an ‘I love you’, me mouthing one back.
I was now metaphorically on my own. Alone in a server where everyone hated my boyfriend and would absolutely not be willing to help me break him out of prison… Wait. There is one person that might not be willing to help, but he might have to… He’s the perfect person to do this and he can’t say no. After all, Technoblade still owes us that favor.
There you go! I hope you enjoyed, and if you did, be sure to leave a like!!

one big happy family: a dream smp character analysis
in trying to make sense of what humanity dream could possibly have and/or express, i immediately began to think about dream’s relationships
of these relationships, his relationship with ranboo is one that is muddled in mystery, though its mystery seems to slowly be more revealed the more we learn about ranboo’s enderwalk state
for distinction, i will refer to the ranboo we have been following as “streamboo” and the ranboo in enderwalking state as “enderboo”; when i say “ranboo” i am referring to the whole person
according to cc!ranboo, ranboo’s memory loss problems are not inherent and that something caused it. based on what and how streamboo remembers things, my theory is that something happened to ranboo that made his memory functions change into the way it is now, existing in two different states. they function identically and reason identically, it’s just that what one state can remember, the other cannot, and vise versa. this is how our ranboo started out upon arrival.
what i believe happened is that enderboo was the first of the two states to discover streamboo and what he’s been up to. perhaps his first attempt at contacting him was through the memory book, but decided against it, hence the [REDACTED] of Page 6. this also implies that enderboo know about his other state far longer than streamboo
enderboo’s memories are different, and i think it’s obvious that enderboo’s first friendship was with dream. enderboo functions no differently than streamboo, so it’s easy to assume he pledged loyalty and friendship to dream right away, quick to understand and support dream’s plans and intentions. this is why dream took the blame for the community house, why dream trusted him with one of the discs, and why dream called him a “friend” and “servant” in the prison stream (which i’m inclined to believe is both true and untrue depending on which elements we’re discussing). it can even be argued that enderboo’s friendly relations with dream enabled dream to go as far as he did as to get imprisoned. enderboo’s relationship with dream could be comparable to streamboo’s other meaningful relationships with tommy, tubbo, phil, and techno (and at some point, fundy).
if enderboo knew about streamboo and his intentions for a while, why didn’t he try to reach out to him earlier? i’m guessing he underestimated the possible power streamboo had in being tied to so many enemies and pawns of dream. he has just as much access to streamboo’s memory books as streamboo does, getting good ideas about streamboo’s relationships. enderboo has memory book 4, as we know. i mention this because i’m inclined to believe that memory book 4 is as old as the first one, just better hidden because he felt that streamboo didn’t need to know about him at the time.
more theories about enderboo is that he may be the state of ranboo most like what ranboo was like before incurring memory loss. evidences of this would be:
being more in-touch with the enderman half moreso than streamboo, via speaking in ender and disappearing so mysteriously it could be interpreted as teleportation
having more agency over the body.
a display of stronger backbone, opinions, and knowledge through obvious friendship with dream
proof of the second one? the dream voice + mellohi thing during the 20th of january stream + the :) trigger established through the one initially erased in the memory book, in the “Thanks :)” note, and through dream’s prison message. the dream voice was his first direct attempt to talk to streamboo, as it was through here that he communicated what he did and knew to streamboo, who as we know didn’t deal with this well. i think enderboo decided to talk to streamboo then because they came to a point of differing intentions. support dream or fight against him? you’d think that by knowing about streamboo more he’d understand streamboo’s point of view, but seems like he knows something that’s keeping him firm in his opinions instead of adopting streamboo’s. in fact, it seems like he’s trying to get streamboo to think like him. i mean, ranboo and dream want the same thing, so it’s no wonder they’d get along so well. enderboo knows streamboo is literally him and is struggling to get streamboo to reframe his perspective to one that helps and supports dream.
enderboo, based on this, is proof that dream is still capable of changing, arguably.
we know that streamboo made deliberate choices to avoid, repress, or ignore enderboo’s calls. he just wants peace. it only took a direct attack from the egg for him to be forced to recognize what enderboo was saying and doing. the egg has seen enderboo, and so have its servants (bad saw enderboo place a block on one of the vines and ant saw enderboo communicate in ender), hence its knowledge about ranboo that streamboo has been trying to repress. the crimson is making streamboo come to terms with enderboo so it would be easier to get him on its side. it did not hesistate to use enderboo’s connections with dream to guilt streamboo into submission.
point is, when the two states accept each other, we could only hope ranboo will not only provide the desire server peace, but help reform dream into being better, if it’s even possible. mizu is so damn obvious, but it could changed, if altered correctly.

Boneafide Gamer (A Reverse Harem Fic)
Chapter 1, Signing In
Quotev Link
Welp- Guess who’s joining the skeleton train?!
Note: When it's in your perspective, it's more than likely going to use the boys Usernames instead of their Nicknames since they legit just met so… here's a list of the usernames I've come up with-
Blue (Underswap Sans): Magnificent Blueberry
Stretch (Underswap Papyrus): Carrot
I'll add more as the boys are introduced. (Also for the horror bros I'm using ratsoh-writes nicknames.)
Finally, after a year of waiting, you have it!  Basic MMORPG VR edition! You squeal before thanking the delivery person and closing the door.
You tear open the packaging as you enter the room, open the case and put the disc into your computer. You gently place the case onto the desk before setting up your V.R set. The game boots up as you put on the VR goggles and you begin the intro.
"Welcome to Basic MMORPG VR edition. A world that was heavily inspired by Sword Art Online, but our game is much better in so many ways! Would you like a list?" Snorting, you select yes.
"You do not have to fight any creatures in this game.
There are many skill sets to choose from like cooking, fishing, farming, bounty hunting and many many more!
A world that gets updated throughout the seasons.
Create, craft, or find many items the world or players around you provide.
You are not strictly assigned to a specific class, want to be a mage that wields a sword? You can BE a mage that wields a sword!
There are-" Holy crap, this list is long… you'd review it later, you wanted to get to the good stuff! Gameplay!
You enter the character customization screen and make your persona. Then came the most difficult part of making a character, giving it a name!
You tapped your foot as you thought of what to name them… do you want something funny? Something normal? Or something stupid? Man, this is hard…
You go for the grandest name of all "fart." You snicker as you accept the name, knowing you could change it whenever.
Hitting "confirm," you wait as the game loads on a public server. And when it loads in, there aren't a lot of people on… Wasn't there a lot of hype for this game?
You shrugged and went to the infamous Quest Master to receive your class, first weapon, and first quest.
After all was said and done, you were "fart," jack of all trades (because you couldn't choose just ONE of all these cool classes!) And off you went to the fields to complete your first quest, kill/befriend/collect 5 slimes.
Holding your multiweapon tight, (Again, you were VERY indecisive and basically created a multitool for weapons.) You venture into the fields to see a lot of slime and very few people.
Legit, there were only two people here. Skeletons, one named "Magnificent Blueberry" and the other named "Carrot." Very fitting considering their choice of armor/robes.
Intrigued, you decide to focus on your quest conveniently close to the skeletons, waiting for the chance to jump in their conversation and make friends! Haha! Genius!
While you slashed more than the acquired amount of slimes with your sword, the short skeleton was reading all the features this game held while the tall one was trying to figure out the controls.
"OH WOW! PAPY, DID YOU KNOW YOU COULD MAKE FRIENDS WITH THE CREATURES?!" Blueberry exclaimed using voice chat, turning to his struggling younger brother.
"Really? I think we both know who'd like that," Stretch says amused, Blueberry huffing before helping Stretch with the controls.
"INDEED! OKA WOULD LOVE TO MAKE A SLIME FARM! (THE TRIGGER IS TO ACTIVATE STUFF LIKE GRABBING AND DROPPING ITEMS) AND I THINK EDGE WOULD BE MORE THAT HAPPY TO HAVE A CAT 'ARMY,'" Blueberry exclaims, happy that there's so much to do in this game! (Even if it is a waste of time according to Edge.)
Stretch nods, finally getting used to the controls and thanking Blueberry, who enthusiastically welcomes him.
"What other features are there?" Stretch asks curiously, peering at the cybernetic screen on Blue's arm.
"OH LOT'S! THERE'S HUNDREDS OF FEATURES IN THIS!" Blue exclaims before scanning the list to look for one Stretch may like.
"Oh wow," Stretch comments amazed, he knew there was a lot but HUNDREDS?! It's every gamer's dream! (Red may enjoy that.)
"LIKE THIS ONE! IF YOU HOVER OVER A PLAYER, YOU CAN ADD THEM TO A PARTY! LET'S DO IT!" Stretch shrugs.
"Sure, why not?" With stars in his sockets, he hovers his disembodied hand over Stretch and adds him to a party which Stretch accepted the request for. Blue then renames the party to "THE AMAZING DUO!" Stretch raises a bone brow with an amused smile.
"Really?"
"REALLY! OH LOOK, A POTENTIAL FRIEND!" Blue exclaims, finally noticing you. However you were focused on the slimes.
"They've been there forever though," Stretch points out.
"WHA? PAPY, WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME?!" Blue says sadly, Stretch shrugs again.
"They seemed busy," Blueberry looked at you again and you were still focused on the slimes.
"WELL, MAYBE THEY NEED A BREAK!" Blueberry exclaims before approaching you. Stretch sighs before hesitantly following his brother.
"GREETINGS FART!" He exclaims, causing you to burst out laughing.
"Ahaha! I knew that name was a great choice!" You say before turning to the smiling short skeleton.
"[Insert pun here] MWHEHE!" You hear a groan come from the taller skeleton that just arrived.
"Hehe! That was a good one! As you know, I'm Fart. And you're…?"
"I'M THE MAGNIFICENT BLUEBERRY, MWHEHE! BUT YOU MAY JUST CALL ME BLUEBERRY OR BLUE!" Blue exclaims.
"I'm Carrot," Stretch says afterwards, causing you to snicker.
"Those are great names! Say, what are your classes?"
"WARRIOR OF PEACE!"
"Mage, You?" You chuckle sheepishly at the question.
"I… chose all of them…" You admit, making Carrot snort.
"Couldn't settle for one huh?" Stretch asks amused, you cross your arms and huff.
"Hey! It's not my fault there's so many choices!" You exclaim.
"I THINK IT'S NEAT!" Blue chimes in making you smile.
"Thank you Blue. Hey, are you guys new to the game?" You ask and they both nod.
"Well, so am I! How about we explore together?" You suggest, Blue lit up like a Christmas tree.
"THAT'S A GREAT IDEA! LET'S GO NEW FRIEND FART!" Blue exclaims before leading the way, you and Carrot snicker and follow after.
So you spent the entire day exploring the HUGE town made for beginners and it's also a hangout/meetup area for experienced players. You got witty remarks from Carrot, puns and fun little facts and features from Sans as you explored. Before you all knew it, night had arrived and you had to log off.
"Oh shoot! It's 8 already?! I gotta go guys, thanks for exploring with me!" You announce making Blue jump.
"IT'S 8?!" Blue yelled before quickly logging off, leaving you with Carrot.
"He… doesn't play games a lot. He usually works hard," Carrot explains, you nod.
"Makes sense," You say before you go to log off.
"Wait a minute," Carrot says before you press the logout button.
"Could I get your discord? I have some… cousins that could use some social interaction from someone like you," You smile.
"Is this your way of telling me you want to hang out more?" You ask in a teasing tone, Carrot snorts.
"Yes and no," He answers simply with a smirk. You exchange discord usernames and codes (Cheesepuff ####) before saying your final goodbyes and logging off.
You take off the VR headset and wince from the lack of light and strain on your eyes. You shut off everything and begin your nightly routine. Once done, you scoop up your phone and check your messages on discord.
Cheesepuff: Yo, it's Carrot. I came to wish the jack of all trades goodnight. And to tell you Blueberry says he's sorry he left so suddenly.
You snicker before replying.
(Username): Thank you Carrot. Tell Blue I said it's okay. Goodnight to both of you!
You then go to message your friend hoping they weren't asleep already.
(Username): Dude! I made friends! :D
Totally not the writer: Oh? Do tell.
And so you do, telling them EVERYTHING!
Totally not the writer: Woah. I gotta get that game. And they sound nice but keep on your toes okay? Not everyone is who they seem.
(Username): Don't worry, I will! Good night you night owl. (You better go to sleep once you send YOUR good night.)
Totally not the writer: No promises. Night.
Sighing, you shut off your phone and head to sleep and dream of Slimes, Carrots and Blueberries.
Holy shit! That took a while to write. One pair of boys down, 4 to go… Will the other chapters be as long as this one? It honestly depends but let's hope not for both our sakes.
So we got ourselves a new series! Huzzah! I’ll try and post the chapters here with links to the next as the series goes on but I could also post it onto quotev or something if you guys prefer that.

Devotion - Story of the Oracle and her Shield
Chapter 23 - In solace of a lie
Why is believing in a lie more comforting than facing the truth? I wonder…
Luna stood there quietly, looking out of the window for a few minutes before retreating to her quarters. Too tired to think, she soon succumbed to sleep.
It was almost 10 a.m. and Luna had still not stepped out of her cabin, which worried Aranea. She knocked persistently, but to no avail.
“Luna, are you okay?” she asked, following another knock. After hearing no response, she banged on the door.
Luna laboriously opened her eyes and stumbled her way to the door. She opened to the door to find an impatient Aranea standing outside. Aranea was relieved to see her. “Geez, even the monster wakes up before you.”
“Sorry, I went to sleep late last night,” she defended, rubbing her eyes.
“I hope you guys were not doing, you know, that,” Aranea teased in a mischievous tone. It took Luna’s sleepy brain a few seconds to register what she was hinting at.
“How dare you,” Luna threatened, squinting her eyes.
“Good, you are awake,” Aranea said with a laugh. “The bathroom is that way. Get freshen up and meet me at the café two cabins up ahead. I’ll wait for you there.”
Luna nodded as Aranea quickly exited to another compartment. Luna admired how Aranea was always so full of energy.
She retrieved her backpack and grabbed her essentials from it to begin her morning rituals. She felt energetic and refreshed after a blissful hot shower.
She came back to her quarters and checked on Leon, but he was still unconscious. She meditated and prayed for a few minutes before joining her best friend.
“How long does it take to get ready?” Aranea remarked when she saw Luna approaching.
“Sorry! I got a hot shower after weeks, so I enjoyed it until the hot water ran out,” she replied with a smile.
Aranea was like her best friend and big sister all-in-one. She was one person with whom Luna can be herself. Aranea for her part also treated Luna a normal girl as opposed to an Oracle. Their conversations were often casual and light-hearted, which meant the world to Luna. Aranea was one of the few people Luna could put her guard down without any fear.
“What would you like my annoying vegan friend?” Aranea asked, folding her hands.
“Whatever is available,” Luna replied with a shrug. She sat on the barstool next to Aranea. She looked around and the whole compartment was practically empty, which she silently appreciated.
“Just give her a kid’s meal with some mac and cheese and fries,” Aranea told the server. “Also, don’t forget to give her a toy.”
Luna arched her eyebrow at Aranea and she pointed at the sign, which said, “Free toy with every kid’s meal.” Luna just started laughing and shook her head.
“So, what do you want to talk about?” Luna asked, resting both of her hands on the table.
“Well, we have a lot of catching up to do missy. Let me start first because I have a feeling that your story will be a lot more exciting than mine.”
“I wouldn’t call it exciting,” she stated, shaking her head.
“There is a hot guy sleeping in your compartment right now. I am sure you have the exciting part covered,” Aranea teased.
“How is Ravus?” she asked, switching the topic.
“Pissed. Scared. Annoyed. Happy.”
“That’s quite a range of emotions.”
“Those emotions are justified when your only sister runs off in danger without care for well-being.”
“Sorry,” she sighed, looking down
Luna got her mac and cheese and fries while Aranea got her coffee and muffin, which she had ordered before Luna got there.
“Tell me, what happened since I was gone?” asked Luna.
“During the invasion of Insomnia, initially we feared you had died,” she began.
“Stop,” Luna suddenly cut her off. She just pointed at the chef of the café.
“Oh, don’t worry about him. He is one of us. At least one of the weapons vendors, diners or the inn owner at every outpost in Lucis are our people.”
“No way!” she was surprised to hear that.
“Information is the key to win the war, so we have gone to great lengths to infiltrate their ranks.”
“Wow!” she said, still processing the information she just learned.
“After the treaty signing, we lost track of your whereabouts. Ravus was promoted to the high commander of the imperial army in the wake of Glauca's death. He convinced the Emperor to declare you as dead to lure you out of your hiding. In reality, it was a ploy to take some heat off of you. Besides, capturing Citadel caused quite an uproar in Lucis so we had our hands full. We were alerted of your presence when you crossed the Disc of Cauthess.”
She took a sip of her coffee before continuing, “We figured that you were going to wake up the giant. Historically, Astrals has not taken kindly to be woken up. Since Ravus and I were in Gralea, we had sent in some cavalry to help you neutralize the Titan should he attack you. However, the lieutenant-general deployed at that post was an Empire’s loyalist and attacked you instead. How you managed to destroy half a brigade and escape in one piece is a mystery to us.”
“I can fill you in on that later,” she offered, taking a spoon full of mac and cheese.
“We lost complete track of you after that for weeks. We were alerted of your presence again when one of our video analysts had spotted you in the background of our news. Brigadier General Ulldor responded to the call and killed off a civilians, but you had escaped again. We did not find a trace of you for weeks until yesterday. Knowing how you managed to remain hidden so well is of great interest to me.”
“I can fill you in on that too,” she assured, dipping her fries in katchup.
“Meanwhile, the word had gotten out of your death so thousands of pilgrims flocked to the Fenestala Manor to pay their respects, expecting Ravus to deliver a eulogy. Sir-Broods-a-lot avoiding the public eye caused many to worry about his well-being.”
“Speaking of that, how is his arm?”
“That stupid ring had burned off his entire left arm. He met with Dr. Verstael Besithia who replaced his arm with a magitek prosthetic arm, giving him superhuman strength. He is currently on his tour to Lucis to ease the unrest in the region.”
“I am glad to hear that he is doing okay,” she professed with a sigh of relief.
After enjoying their meal quietly for a few moments, Luna asked, “How is your home?”
“Gralea is in bad shape. The number of demons in the capital is getting out of control. The Emperor Aldercapt had hoped that bringing Crystal to Gralea would help dispel all the daemons, but turns out that without the ring the Crystal is nothing but a shiny rock.”
“Was that the grounds for invading Insomnia?” she wondered aloud.
“Yes, or so we’ve been told. I think he did what he thought was best for his country. He desperately wanted to protect his civilians. Lucis was not going to just hand over their precious crystal because Niflheim needed it. The Emperor Aldercapt hated the fact that Lucis thrived and prospered while everything outside of the barrier was crumbling apart. His vision was to use the Crystal’s power to empower humanity so they never have to rely on magic again. His methods were far from ideal, but his heart was in the right place, that is why I joined the Empire Army. However, Ardyn and Verstael seem to be gaining more influence on the Emperor with each passing day. Weaponizing demons, experimenting on civilians, and in some cases demonizing people are becoming a norm now. This is not the Empire I loved and believe in. Honestly, I’ve thought a lot about leaving it.”
“So, what is holding you back?”
“Ravus. It seems counterintuitive, but in order to fix the problem, he became one with the problem itself. He is fighting an uphill battle. He inspires me to keep fighting for the future I want to see. Running away won’t solve anything. I want to save the Empire from itself and the best place to do it is from within. I will die for it if I have to.”
“We all are constantly fighting our own battles. When do we actually live?” Luna asked.
“I don’t know. You are the Oracle, you tell me,” she asked, finishing her coffee.
“Unfortunately, there is no one answer to this problem. We must find it for ourselves. Ironically, people often find something to die for, but they rarely find something to live for. Aranea, don’t die for the Empire. Live for it.”
“Well said, Oracle,” she remarked, getting up from her stool.
Both friends made their way back to Luna’s quarters. Luna checked on Leon as soon as she entered the cabin.
“Are you going to tell me what is going on here?” Aranea asked sitting on the opposite berth.
“It’s a long story,” said Luna, rubbing the temple of her head.
“I’ve got time,” Aranea replied, leaning back against the cabin wall with arms folded and legs outstretched.
Luna told her everything from the time king’s glaives helped her escape to Insomnia till their journey to Fociaugh Hollow. Well, she did not tell her “everything.” Telling Aranea everything that happened between her and Leon would be like committing social suicide. Aranea would over-interpret things and would endlessly tease Luna. Luna just told her “strategically relevant information.”
“You have been through a lot,” Aranea said, with concern evident in her voice. “You are lucky to even be alive at this point.”
“Yes, had it not been for Leon, my luck would have run out a long time ago,” she admitted.
“I am impressed at how you guys managed to avoid the entire Imperial army for so long. Not staying at an outpost was a genius move.”
“It was all his idea. He is a military genius.”
“He must be as he was able to keep you safe from the Imperials, daemons, and Astrals. And he is devilishly good-looking to boot. Nice catch Luna,” she commented with a suggestive wink.
Luna facepalmed. “Stop teasing, Aranea. It is not as you think.”
“No, I am not teasing. I am serious. He has done more for you in the last few weeks than Noctis has in his whole life. You should seriously consider this.”
“Aranea, I am engaged to Noctis.”
“Oh, I am sorry, I did not know that he proposed to you. Did he send you a ring? Did he write a letter with Umbra expressing his feelings?”
“He just lost his father and his kingdom. He is dealing with a lot himself. And he is shy, so he doesn't express his feelings. That does not mean he does not love me.”
“Oh please, wake up from this nonsense,” Aranea’s temper flared. “Your marriage was only a ploy to force King Regis’s hand. It was an empty symbolic gesture to bring him to the treaty table. None of it was real. The treaty never went through, which means you don’t have to marry him.”
“I don’t have to, but I want to marry him. He cares for me,” she pleaded.
“Ya, keep telling yourself that. For every second your covenant goes unresolved, you are losing your life. Why don’t you tell him to hurry up and get his act together?” Aranea snapped.
“I am not going to dictate his life. I am sure he is doing everything within his power to reunite me with quickly.”
“Like hell he is. He spends his time collecting decals and stickers for his car, picking up groceries for Takka's Pit Stop, searching for the missing dog tags, and collecting some stupid frogs. And when he is free from all these burdens, he spends his time fishing. Every second he wastes is every second you get closer to death. Something is literally killing you and you cannot even tell him and you claim to know about love.” She raved, unable to contain her anger.
“I know that you don’t like Noctis, but please don’t speak ill of Noctis. I am begging you.” Tears swelled in her eyes.
“What am I to do Luna? Just watch you die when there might still be a way to save you? You might not care about your own life, but we do. At least tell Noctis to get his act together to save your own brother.” Aranea was enraged.
“Save Ravus?”
“When encountering Empire airships, while you guys employed run, hide, and in the worst-case scenario fight tactic, Noctis and his buddies actively engage our troops. Every time they do that, we get notification of their location. While you guys were smart enough to avoid staying at any outposts, it looks like his Royal Highness is on a f***ing world tour. So far, he has stayed at every single outpost. And they all report back to us. Ravus and I have to either suppress those reports or stall long enough for him to escape. And people have started noticing it. If they find out that we are assisting Noctis, then Ravus would be executed ruthlessly.” She continued her outburst.
“I am sorry. I did not know that,” she said, amidst her sobs.
“We are trying to shield him, but it’s like he wants to get captured. While you and a complete stranger, who does not owe you a damn thing, are fighting every day so that he may reclaim his throne, what is he doing? We cannot help him unless he helps himself.” She riled.
“He is the chosen King of kings and I am sure he will rise to the occasion. Just give him some time,” she pleaded.
“This is pathetic. I don’t know if I am more disappointed in you or Noctis. Why do you defend him so much?” Aranea fumed.
“Because I love him, is that not a reason enough?”
“Do you really believe that?”
“I want to.”
“Why?”
“Because it makes things easier. To think that I have to sacrifice myself because it is my duty is hard. But, to think that I have to sacrifice myself for my love makes it easier to bear. Sometimes we are not seeking happiness, but simply a shelter from the pain.” She broke down into tears as she couldn’t say anything further.
Aranea moved closer to her and hugged her. “I am sorry,” she consoled her. She let her cry herself to sleep. Luna was exhausted physically and mentally. Aranea gently placed her on her berth and quietly exited the cabin.
It must be around 6 p.m. when Luna woke up again. She felt something soft around her legs. She wearily opened her eyes to see what it was. Before she could even move, the furry beast hopped over her and started licking her face. She giggled as Pryna snuggled close to her. After playing with her, Luna sat up and stretched. She noticed Umbra lying around Leon’s legs.
She got up and petted Umbra. “You know Umbra, you are my dog, not his,” she playfully scolded him.
Umbra in response retracted from her touch and snuggled close to Leon.
She just rolled her eyes and said, “Fine. Be that way.”
She stepped out of her cabin and went to the bathroom to get freshened up. When she emerged from it, she found Aranea standing in the corridor, looking out of the window. Luna joined her and observed the beautiful landscape passing by.
“Hey, I am sorry. I was very hard on you,” Aranea apologized.
“It’s all right. I know you meant well.”
“I just couldn’t watch you self-destruct. Still, I shouldn’t have yelled at you. I should have simply presented the information I had and let you make your own choice. I shouldn’t have projected my views on you,” Aranea admitted.
“Please don’t beat yourself up. I needed to hear that. Sometimes you don’t see your own mistakes, no matter how obvious it may be, until someone points it out to you. While most people revere me as the Oracle, you are my one true friend, who does not shy away from telling me when I am wrong. And I appreciate it more than I show,” she confessed.
“Glad to hear that.”
“I took your advice to heart and have asked Gentiana to be in frequent communication with Noctis and keep him focused on the goal,” Luna informed.
“Thank you.”
“He is destined to lead us through the darkness and I am sure he will heed Gentiana’s call,” Luna reassured.
“Destiny does not become a reality unless you work for it. I hope he understands that,” Aranea pointed.
“I am sure he is aware of his duties,” Luna reassured.
“Let’s hope so for both of our sakes.”
“Hungry?” Aranea asked, after an outstretched silence.
“Not yet.”
“You haven’t eaten anything since the morning,” Aranea pointed.
“Neither have you, am I right?” She asked.
“Ya, I am starting to get hungry, want to go grab a bite?” Aranea proposed.
“It’s only 6 p.m. how about we go after an hour?” Luna offered.
“Sounds fair.”
“Hey Arae, I need your help with something,” she requested.
“Sure, what is it?” Aranea responded promptly.
“It’s Leon. He still hasn’t woken up. I don’t know what’s wrong with him. I am worried about him.”
“Let’s go check it out,” she said, pushing herself off the rails.
Luna leads the way. Upon entering, they were greeted by two canines guarding the cabin. Aranea played with Pryna first and then with Umbra sitting by Leon’s legs. Luna kneeled next to Leon, gently placing her hand on his forehead.
“So, after your covenant with Ramuh, on your way out you collapsed and by the time you woke up, he was knocked out?” Aranea recollected what Luna had told her earlier, while gently petting Umbra.
“Yes, after my covenant with Titan I was out for weeks. But here I woke up after only a few minutes. How did I recover so fast from the covenant? What happened after I lost consciousness and before I woke up?” Luna wondered.
“This is strange, you forged the covenant, so you should be knocked out, not him,” Aranea wondered aloud.
“Exactly. Something happened and I just don’t know it. It feels like I am missing a part of my memory and it is so frustrating,” Luna admitted. “I guess; now I know how he must feel for not remembering huge chunks of his memories.”
Aranea got up and moved close to Leon to check his pulse. Her expression changed immediately.
“What’s wrong?” Luna asked with concern.
“This pulse is a lot weaker than yesterday. At this rate, he might not live long enough to reach Tenebrae.”
“Oh God,” she said, as the horror set in.
Aranea moved over to the empty berth. They both sat quietly pondering over what to do next. The mood in the room was very solemn. Light music played from overhead speakers in the cabin, which neither paid much attention to.
“According to legends, there is one unconventional method which has been used to wake up people from their deep slumber,” Aranea said, looking thoughtful.
“Tell me. I’ll do anything,” Luna eagerly replied.
“Once upon a time there was a princess who was cursed by a wicked witch. The curse puts her to sleep. All the medics in the kingdom got together, but none could wake her up. Yadda yadda yadda it took a true love’s kiss to wake her up.”
“I am NOT doing that,” Luna glared at her.
“Fine. Then get out of the way. I’ll kiss him,” Aranea said, getting up from her berth.
“No!” Luna spread out her hands, blocking Aranea’s advance.
“Oh, being territorial, are we?” she said with a mischievous wink.
“Arae, this is not the time to joke!” Luna scolded her.
“Geez, I was just trying to light up the mood. It is so solemn in here that it felt like someone has died. You don’t get the best ideas when you are in stress,” she justified her recent actions. They both went back into their thinking mode.
Aranea finally broke the long silence. “When we are looking for information not readily available to us, we check with the sources closest to the information. Next, we see if there is any documentation or recording of it. In your case, it was only the two of you so that rules out any other sources. I doubt there is any documentation or recording of your journey. I am at a loss for ideas here,” she said. “If only we could peek in from the window of time and look at what happened in the past.”
“But even if we do that, it’s not--” Luna stopped mid-sentence as she had a eureka moment. “Arae, you are a genius.”
“I am?” she wondered out loud. Not sure what she was getting credit for, but she’ll take it. “I mean, I am.”
“There is a recording of what happened!” she said gleefully.
“What? Where? How?” Aranea asked, confused.
“That recording in his mind!”
“Oh! I get it. So, let's cut him open and see what’s inside!” Aranea said with too much excitement. Luna just glared at her. “Sorry, not the right time to joke. Guilty as charged.” She raised her hands in defense.
“We do have a way to look through the window of time and look at the past.”
“And how are you going to do that?” she wondered.
“Our answer is looking right at us!” Luna said with a voice full of excitement and hope.
“I am still not following you,” Aranea admitted.
“Umbra!”
“What about it?”
“Umbra’s power can send people back in time. I can ask Umbra to send me back in time to see what happened,” Luna projected.
“But you were unconscious, so even if you go back in time, you will simply be unconscious, No?”
“Yes, I did not think of that,” Luna confessed.
After pondering for a while Luna spoke up again, “How about I go back in Leon’s time. Then I will see everything, right?”
“I thought Umbra could send people back to their past, not someone else’s.”
“Umbra will connect with Leon and I will connect with Umbra. Using Umbra as the mediator, in theory, I should be able to see his memories,” Luna explained.
“In theory?” Aranea asked with concern.
“Well...” she said, recollecting an old memory.
Earlier in Lestallum
Lunafreya was sitting in her bed, idly squeezing a stress ball. It was part of her therapy to regain motor control in her hand. She noticed Umbra sitting at Leon’s feet as usual.
“He really likes you,” she commented.
Leon, who was reading cosmology, looked up and questioningly arched his eyebrow to Luna.
“Umbra, he really likes you. For years, he has been my faithful companion, never leaving my side once. But ever since you got here, he does not even come to me anymore,” she said with a laugh.
Leon lovingly petted Umbra.
“You know, he has divine powers.”
“Is that so? What does his power entail?” he asked.
“Umbra is a manipulator of time. He can send someone’s consciousness back in time.”
“How interesting. I used to know someone in my world with very similar power.”
“Really?” she said, sitting up on her bed. Her curiosity ran wild now. “What was their power like? How did it work?”
“She called her power Connect. She could connect with the consciousness of someone she knows, and send their consciousness back in time to experience the events of their or someone else past,” he explained.
“She could let someone explore the memories of others? That is so cool. And scary.”
“Yeah. It helped me save someone’s life once, I think,” he said, unable to recollect details of that event.
“How did looking at someone’s memory help you save them? How did it feel to look at someone’s memories?” she asked. Leon could tell there were hundreds of other questions she was trying to not ask all at once.
“I don’t recollect all the details, but I think someone I cared about fell into a coma. No medical treat helped, so I finally asked the girl with the mysterious powers to let me look at the memories of the person in a coma with a hope to learn more about their condition. Once I saw what caused them to lose their consciousness, I was able to help them recover. I think.” He said piecing together fragments of his memories.
“Wow, that is fascinating. I would not have thought of that in a million years. You must have really cared about that person to come up with such an innovative solution.”
“Yes, I think I cared deeply for that person,” he said, slightly unsure. “As for your second question. Looking at someone’s memories is like looking through a window of time. It almost feels like watching a movie. You see the world through their eyes, but you cannot change anything.”
“That is amazing. I wonder if Umbra has such powers too.”
“Who knows,” he said, petting Umbra again.
Aranea raised her concerns, “Just because it worked in his world does not mean it would work here as well. What if you cannot ‘disconnect?’”
“Arae, I can’t let the fear of failure stop me from trying. I am not going to just sit here waiting for him to wake up someday. If there is a way to get him back, I will find it.”
“I still feel this is reckless. Is he worth risking your life?” Aranea asked.
“He has risked his everything for me. This is the least I could do for him.”
“Wait! So, you are just going to jump into his consciousness and look at everything he did?” Aranea checked.
“Yes,” she replied as if it was the most obvious thing to do.
“Luna, this is an invasion of privacy on a whole new level,” Aranea said with disbelief.
Luna sighed and said, “I know it is, but there is no other way. He is a very closed off person, so I know he would probably hate me for this. I think he might hate me already so adding a little more hate to it won’t make a difference.”
“The only reason you would risk your life for someone who hates you is if you love them.”
“Arae, not now.”
“From what you have told me he sounds like a good person. Why do you think he hates you?” Aranea wondered.
“I betrayed him in a worse possible way.” She couldn’t finish her sentence as words dried up in her mouth.
“You betrayed him?”
“We’ll talk about it another time. I need to do this now,” she said, getting up and walking to Umbra.
“I can’t let you do this. This could be very dangerous,” Aranea cautioned.
“I don’t care what happens to me,” she said with uncharacteristic anger. “I won’t let him die again. You said it yourself that he won’t even make it till Tenebrae. This is our last hope and I won’t let that hope extinguish so easily.”
Aranea nodded, giving her silent approval.
“Thanks, Arae.”
She kneeled down beside Umbra and gently petted him. “Umbra, I need your help. I know you care about Leon too. Only you can help me with this. Can you please let me see Leon’s memories? There is something wrong with him and no one knows what. If we know what is wrong with him, then maybe we’ll be able to save him. Will you please help me?”
Umbra got up on his paws until he was eye-level with Luna. His eyes suddenly started glowing red. Luna was enthralled by it as she couldn’t move her gaze from Umbra’s eyes. She suddenly started feeling lightheaded and fell limp on the ground with eyes shut close.
“Luna,” Aranea bolted from her seat to attend her friend. She tried calling her name and shaking her to wake her up, but it was to no avail.
Aranea picked her up and laid her down gently on the berth.
“Great, now I have to babysit all three of them,” she said, shaking her head. “I wonder what she is going to find out.”
Author's notes:
This chapter highlights Luna and Aranea's friendship. This also gives a different (potentially controversial) perspective on Nocti's open-world journey. Personally, I felt horrible upon finding out that while I was spending ridiculous amount of time doing silly side quests Luna was dying all along. Your thoughts?
The next chapter would be a bombshell. Luna finds out the meaning of, "Your fates have been intertwined for eons." I can confidently say that it's a plot twist no one would have seen coming. I promise. *evil laugh*
Please leave a comment and brighten my day. Thanks :)
