My YouTube playlist with fan videos for Fringe. It's quite varied with lots of general Fringe, Peter/Olivia, Lincoln/Olivia (all combinations), just Peter and just Olivia. There is also a significant amount of crossover videos, mostly with Supernatural.

I'm going to repeat myself, over and over. But I think, the following, applies to all fandoms.

In my opinion, playlists are currently one of the best ways to find fan videos on YouTube. Especially for less popular or older fandoms or smaller creators. If you have one created for Fringe, I encourage you to reblog or comment under this post with a link. Let's spread the love for vids and vidders and help each other find hidden gems.

Also, please, if you like any of the videos, don't get discouraged by the fact that they're old. Like, save and make comments. I have yet to find a creator who isn't happy when people interact with their older creations. It can make someone's day. Who knows, maybe it will motivate them to dust off their skills and love for the fandom, if they have time.

I think that as a society we should talk about how the entirety of fauxlivia’s character and her romantic relationships with men SCREAMS lesbian with comphet.

We first see her with a steady boyfriend whom she’s on a happy (and probably long term) relationship with. Next thing we know, she’s on the other side and “dating” Peter and the WHOLE TIME they’re together she just looks very uncomfortable and annoyed at him. Then, all of a sudden, the MOMENT she gets caught and has to leave to a whole other universe, she’s in love with Peter? Doesn’t really make sense, at least to me 😭😭

Once she’s back in her universe, she finds out she’s pregnant with Peter’s child, and when her boyfriend asks her if she’s in love with him, she doesn’t confirm it nor deny it, which results in Frank leaving. Using your feelings for a man you know you’ll never have as a way to leave your happy relationship with a great man is just so very interesting to me idk.

And then there’s Lincoln. Both of them. From what we know, Alt-Lincoln has a crush on fauxlivia which she doesn’t reciprocate, and they’re best friends. Their relationship doesn’t really change until the timeline reset where his romantic feelings for her don’t show as strongly. And then she meets Blue!Lincoln. In the few episodes we see them together, she doesn’t seem interested in him in the slightest, and he falls for her ridiculously fast.

And then her Lincoln dies, and Blue!Lincoln moves to the alternate universe. Here’s the thing, Fauxlivia was clearly mourning her best friend, and Lincoln was clearly not over “his” Olivia yet, so that’s already an odd way to start a relationship.

The whole show, the only two men she actually shows feelings for are Frank (whom she breaks up with over Peter) and Peter (whom she knows she can’t have and never even looked happy with the whole time they were “together”). So that’s interesting!

I have a fringe question! So when Peter reveals that he started a relationship with Altlivia (when they’re at the hospital waiting to talk with a suspect or something) Olivia says something about how Altlivia had a really full life and that if Frank hadn’t been out of town “who knows what could have happened” etc etc

Can u explain that interaction to me? I feel so lost. What is she saying? That she might have gotten together with Frank eventually?

And then she continues saying that AltLiv had a lot of friends who cared about her and they all believed she (OG liv) was her (Alt liv). What does that mean? I’m sorry this is so long but I literally don’t understand lmfao and I know you know your fringe stuff

I think a lot of the dialogue between Peter and Olivia in that scene is Olivia being in denial and trying to justify the situation to herself more than she’s justifying it to Peter, who clearly expected her to react more strongly.

When Olivia mentions Frank, she does mean that if Frank had been around when Olivia was ‘brainwashed’ with Altliv’s memories, she probably would have slept with him, too, because she believed herself to be HIS Olivia. Frank was her boyfriend, so sex definitely could have happened. She also mentions Charlie and Lincoln thinking that she was THEIR Olivia, which is her way of saying to Peter “See, they didn’t realize I wasn’t their Olivia either, so I get it, it’s okay that you guys didn’t know it wasn’t me.”

The main issue of course is that Altliv knew what she was doing all along, she was *infiltrating* their side and actively pretending to be Olivia. In her case, Olivia had been given her alternate’s memories and genuinely thought she was Altliv, behaving like Altlivia too, at least while the memories worked on her. Anything she did while she was brainwashed, she didn’t control. Which is just another reason why what they did to her is horrible 😭

Hypothetical titles for season 25 of 88.

The long way around. Season premiere. Part one. Drummond and the Five Families work to find Odessa’s sarcophagus, meanwhile Alt!Odessa tries to help with limited success as due to Drummond pushing her away

And it feels so good. Season premiere. Part two. Getting desperate, Drummond leads an expedition into the Hudson as Alt!Odessa starts to disappear.

Warm and dead. Drummond finally finds Present!Odessa. But now Dr Corsica needs to work on keeping her from dying of hypothermia.

Love em and leave em. Barnaby’s interest is piqued when the team takes on the case of a male prostitute being stalked by his former clients. Guest starring Nick Robinson as Culver Rhodes

Blood alcohol moon. Terror descends upon the Wilmington’s when Delaney impulsively decides to quit drinking right before a blood moon.

Family, family, family. Drummond decides to run for president at Findlay’s begging to stop a newly minted republican governor from snatching it up. First appearance of Sarah Silverman as Republican Governor Rodmilla Cryer

The wine cellar. Clyde retreats to the Wilmington’s wine cellar when Drummond’s announcement party gets to much for him.

Larceny on the Fifth Avenue Express. En route to Oswald’s family’s farm, Sidney is made aware of a spate of thefts on the Five Families’s private train.

From Newark to Albany. Lysander, David and Clyde lend insight into a case of actors from an old sitcom being systematically abducted and killed by a fan who can’t come to terms with the show being over. Guest starring Meg Donnelly Linda Bailey

Au courant. Leland finally loses it with Zoey when she opens up a highly expensive pay as you go boutique at the Mulligan Institute.

The man in the moon is a bitch. Baby New Year (Dylan Sprouse) approaches Findlay for help when his rapacious twin brother the man in the moon (Cole Sprouse) starts making trouble at observatory’s all over the country.

Sod. Midseason finale. Part one. Christmas celebrations get delayed when Drummond is called in by Cryer for an impromptu debate at the Lincoln Memorial.

Murphy. Midseason premiere. Part two. The Drummond vs Cryer debate at the Lincoln memorial ends up turning into a double barrelled filibuster that heads towards New Year’s Eve. Unless Odessa can stop it of course.

In-A-Gadda-Da-Tina. An incident with paint thinner when she’s helping out at the Institute ends up in a nightmare for Tina of Ozian proportions.

Gordon Bennett. Godfrey unintentionally sabotages Drummond’s bid for the presidency by going undercover on political blogs.

Custody battle. Theo’s biological grandmother sends his biological father over to Fifth Avenue in an attempt to gain custody agains. Guest starring Roman Banks as Llewellyn Lumet and CCH Pounder as Charisse Miller

Me and Jamison down by the schoolyard. Findlay’s fear of the past at her obsession with The Mages And The Mundane collide when the team takes a case at an elementary school where Emerson Davenport and Tatum Mercer are filming a special episode. Guest starring Chris Pratt and Aubrey Plaza

His choice. Jacob advises Skipper and Oswald to let Theo decide upon whether he’ll make contact with Llewellyn Lumet or not.

Horse and carriage. With the race heating up. Drummond surprises Odessa with an impromptu marriage proposal against Jones and Jacob’s advice.

Schemes. Cryer’s put upon daughter Emmy (guest star Olivia Holt) defects to the Wilmington’s side and tells them secrets that Cryer’s desperate to keep under wraps. Including one that would definitely rank the election for her.

A broccoli that tastes like deep fried chocolate. With the Cryer/Cahill connection under his hat, Drummond’s sets about listing his intentions for the presidency.

Byob. Thornton has to question Barnaby and Jonah after a party they went to at Van Buren ends in a missing teacher and a double homicide.

Final countdown. Season finale. Part one. The Five Families can do nothing but wait as all the votes are tallied and counted. Which sets Findlay on edge more so than usual because if they’ve learned anything it’s that what can go wrong will go wrong.

Rep v dem. Season finale. Part two. In a last ditch attempt to win, Cryer arranged for the votes to be stolen, forcing the precinct to team up with several other divisions and chase her across the country to get them back. Special guest appearance by Daniel Radcliffe as Derek Christensen. Final appearances of Sarah Silverman as Rodmilla Cryer and Olivia Holt as Emmy Cryer.

There’s a whole lot going on in early S3 about identity and feelings. It even raises questions about what machines can feel.

Olivia was Peter’s anchor, she made herself the pitch why Peter should return to the other side. “Because you belong with me.” When she’s trapped and her identity fracturing on the other side, hallucinating Peter grounds her to home. Walter too, but Peter is the main link.

Do Shapeshifters Dream of Electric Sheep?

Then there’s the parallels drawn between Bolivia and the shapeshifters who developed attachment to their cover families.

Sebastian Roche is delicious playing a villain. Newton calls out Bolivia on her hesitancy, her lack of ruthlessness. “Words like ‘integrity’ and ‘self respect.’ They haunt you.” There’s no room for it in Newton’s world, just as he deals with the shapeshifter who doesn’t want his cover family harmed and who refuses to give them up voluntarily, Newton goads Bolivia into crossing the line.

Which ties back to Bell’s note for Walter. Don’t be afraid to cross the line.

And Bolivia’s not actually a horrible person, despite doing something unethical—as people do in war. They go under cover, they deceive. She believes in what she’s doing, her world is at war and in danger. She believes what she was taught, the other side started it and that’s not exactly untrue.

The whole Peter/Bolivia situation gives me the heebie jeebies and I don’t like it, but I have to say the way the show sets up S3 is pretty brilliant, with the multiple world building, and making alt Charlie and alt Lincoln and alt Olivia likeable and real so we care about them.

There aren’t really heroes and villains in Fringe. Maybe Walternate in some ways is the arch villain but if you drill down into the story thoroughly…Walter is really the unintentional villain, the breaker of worlds, who is redeemed. (And wouldn’t have gotten there without part of his brain being removed, because otherwise…he’s more like Walternate than he wants to be).
