#although granted some of my favorite movies are the mummy (1999)

I love the mummy too I absolutely love Ancient Egypt, did you know the mummy from 1999 was an action adventure remake of the 1932 film starring Boris Karloff?

I did know that! Granted I'm not that familiar with universals mummy movie, but I do know some story beats like the undead love story and names are adapted from that version.

Although I'd argue it's a pretty loose adaptation, taking just as many action beats from things like Indiana Jones imo.

But that's why I love it so much. It's such a fun ride with a great story, amazing chemistry, on point comedy, incredible set design, fascinating characters, compelling villain, beautiful score, gripping action, it's got it all. 🥰

The mummy 1999 is my favorite movie of all time. I never grow tired of it.

It’s hilarious how some people hate Obi-Wan’s show. It looks terrible or cheap, or everything is convenient, or nothing makes sense or so much is retconned. I just think it’s really funny much energy people put into hating something.
