For just €99.95 The Irissen, is an oil painting by Vincent van Gogh, painted 1889. It’s one of the first paintings, he made when he was hospitalized in St. Paul de Mausole. Van Gogh, called it “The lightning rod for my illness.” High quality digital print on PET fabric (one pair is one 1,5 liter plastic bottle!) & full grain nappa leather. We translated this beautiful painting onto a High quality digital print on PET fabric (for one pair 5 bottles of 1,5 liter plastic bottles are recycled. Further we used high quality nappa leather for the upper in a matching color. The sneakers are fully leather lined, and the fussbet is also removable. We clubbed this sneaker onto a rubber outsole with is also completely side wall stitching. It better to order 1 size bigger as you have normal, we have added this removable fussbet with took away 1 shoe size.

I think my favorite thing I learned of van Gogh is that when he was in Arles; his brother Theo wrote him to let him know that he and his wife had a boy and that they were going to call him Vincent because of him. Van Gogh was so happy that he immediately started painting "Amandelbloesem" (almond blossoms) and send it to Theo to celebrate the birth of his nephew.

The painting was so beloved by them that they hung it above the piano in their living room.

After Theo's death (a few months after Vincent's) Johanna (Theo's wife) moved to Bussum and hung the painting in her and her son Vincent’s bedroom.

It was also one of the paintings she kept till her death and it is now in the van Gogh Museum.

His nephew was the one who made it possible for the works of van Gogh to be known around the world!

Op 1 april werd de nieuwe woontoren van De Amandelbloesem in Wormerveer geopend en werd de naam van het woongebouw bekendgemaakt. ‘Florissant’ is de naam van het nieuwste woongebouw van WormerWonen. Wethouder Natasja Groothuismink en Fred Kluit hielpen bij de opening van het woongebouw door de naam te onthullen. Ook werd er een rondleiding gegeven en was er gelegenheid om de woningen van binnen…
