As I am looking back on my archives, I saw 2018's Lan Kwai Fong Japan Carnival. It has been the setting of a spectacular event to showcase Japanese culture; offering a different ranges of delicacies, street foods, beers (oh yeah!), and ladies in kimono ! Kawaiii!

I suddenly miss Lan Kwai Fong.

A quick walk to get a pizza, fresh air and see the newly decorated Lee Tung but seems like it is not yet done. I thought I'll see a giant Christmas tree but instead a silver ball that was not lighted yet. Not sure. Whatever. Here's some pizza.

Cheng Chau island is a small island located 10km Southwest of Hongkong Island. You can reach the island an hour from Central with ordinary ferry or half hour by a fast ferry. It is a small fisherman's island that the life of locals are really slow and quiet; indeed a good escape from busy city life of Hongkong island. Lots of walking, and appreciation of nature can be achieved during the day tour. The island is widely known on its Bun Festival around the month of May so I'm really looking forward this year that I can go back and see the event myself.

Some of us at one point of our life got fed up of the city and wish to escape and chill. And that happens when you really want to have a time off. For Jini, it's Peng Chau this time.

Peng Chau island is one of those outlying islands of Hongkong. Half hour away from Central via ferry, it's Cantonese name literally means "flat". So no adventurous hiking trails to expect, still is the island gives picturesque view of mountains, forestry, and countryside.
