I have this ask: what made you interested in Togami?

I am a little late to answering this, but thank you for asking! Allow me to divulge with a several paragraph long response!

First and foremost, I absolutely fell for his cool rich boy-actually an asshole charm the moment I laid eyes on him. I'm the type of person who will adore the silly guys, but I will devour a character I can take seriously. For all of Togami's funny over the top egotistical moments, and for all the memes and jokes that sprout from his character, he is one of the more grounded THH characters (in contrast to people like Fukawa or Yamada) and I enjoy that. He's also generally just handsome, as is appropriate for his character? They did a good job designing him Especially since they had that goal in mind.

Secondly, his lore. He isn't just a rich snobby kid with a stick up his ass who got into Hope's Peak via his daddy paying off the admins. By giving Togami that first "killing" game to participate in, not only does it give him the credibility to be accepted into Hope's Peak, it also gives him reason to be so composed. He has been through this before, and he won the first time. It's no wonder that the second time he's dropped into a game like this, he is confident he will win, he is confident he will come out on top. If he, the youngest sibling, can emerge from as ruthless a game as the competition for the Togami name, he can win some petty murder game where the only ultimate goal is to survive.

I also think his obsession with the rules of the game (and just the game in general) is interesting. He almost urges others to participate in the killing game because he's bored and understimulated. In comparison to the game he played with his siblings, this is Apparently Nothing. He doesn't bear grudges against the blackened students because in his eyes, they're just following the rules, they're just playing the game. They suck at it evidently, but he respects it in a way.

As soon as the game starts to fall apart, and a spy is revealed, and everyone is teaming up against the mastermind, and Togami realizes the balance is shifting? He bows out because Hina and Sakura essentially broke the rules trying to sacrifice their lives, which caused the rest of the participants to "cast aside their fear", which caused the game to "lose that sense of excitement".

He's got such unique motivations for participating and not participating, it intrigues me.

I Also also think he realizes at this point (chapter 4) that becoming a blackened or otherwise fighting against the current is just foolish. The party has become so narrowed down, and both Naegi and Kirigiri have shown so much skill in identifying killers, that he'd stand no chance. The whole underlying theme for the chapter 4 trial is that Togami gets his character development because his skill pales in comparison to the others. He almost got everyone killed because he made an incorrect conclusion, and that incorrect conclusion was drawn because he was successfully deceived. It may not be the "thoughtless sentimentalism" the others could have been hoping for, but it's something. Once again, he displays his solitary and very unique motivations.

All in all, his character is just compelling to me. The fact that he is an antagonist makes it better, I love a compelling antagonist that goes beyond just being evil for the sake of being evil. I love antagonists that I can understand and rationalize and pick apart their motives. ...he's also hot.

here's a headcanon-based dangan questions game because idk i think it'd be funny to think about (ft random ass emojis): ⚡️ - (out of all the characters you know decently well) who would be the most likely to call someone a homosexual as a friendly-fire insult? ⛸ - who would be the recipient of said friendly-fire insult? ✂️ - who would use the word "greasy" as an affectionate term while at the same time use it to desperately ask the person to take a shower? 🎤 - if hajime did have his own ultimate talent, what do you think it would be? ☕️ - if the dangan casts were attending a normal high school, what clubs would some of your favorite characters be in? 🍬 - and finally, who do you think would work well as protagonists if they weren't makoto, hajime, shuichi, and kaede? (yes i'm counting kaede as an official protag)

⚡️I feel like Kazuichi would be the most likely candidate for calling someone a homosexual in a joking manner. And then he gets called out for once admitting to having very gay thoughts about his classmates

⛸️ and Hajime would be the one to fire back. Kazuichi is definitely teasing him for having gay tension with Nagito, Gundham, and Fuyuhiko simultaneously. "Triple wielding that homosexual shit /pos"

✂️ Honestly, I can see a couple of characters doing that. Makoto would use it and then immediately backtrack, saying it was the only word he could come up with. Kyoko would use it and regret nothing. Mahiru would absolutely tell Hajime to wash his greasy non-literal ass in the most loving way possible. And of course, we can't forget Hajime telling Nagito to take care of himself.

🎤 I feel like it's easy to immediately go "Ultimate Debater" or "Ultimate Investigator", since those are the main "talents" he exhibits and utilizes. Honestly, I would love to imagine him as a Secretary, or an Analyst, or some sort of organized business position. It would make him feel just as seemingly commonplace against the rest of the zany SDR2 cast. Plus, it would explain his monetary background, still allow him to be thrown way off balance by the destruction of the logical world he thought he knew, and utilize his ability to stay comparatively level headed against his classmates in the trials.

☕️ Celeste, Byakuya, Sonia, Shuichi, Chihiro, Toko, and Kyoko would all be in a book club. The obvious sports club team would be Aoi, Sakura, Leon, Nekomaru, and Akane. Maybe Ryoma would try to join in too. Gundham would love hosting his own animal-centric club, likely an Earth Club sort of deal, and Ibuki would write a dramatic ballad about how the seals are eating bottle caps (???).

🍬 It's honestly hard to say, if we're coming at it from an angle of who would be better. If we're talking just in general, it's still really hard, because a Danganronpa game from Any character's perspective would have such a rich value regardless.

Getting to look at the games from the villain's perspectives would be an obvious alluring choice, because DR villains always have bizarre thought processes that are hard for the protagonists to grasp. Having a chance to get in their heads with DR style narration would be amazing.

A character who dies in one of the mid-chapters being a protagonist would be just as entertaining, simply because I want to know what exactly was going on during the murders. No, I don't count Kaede because all of her pre-murder stuff was vague and misleading, I wanna get Inside a Killer's Mind. ...or a victim.

If I had to pick Specific people to be protagonists for the three main games, Byakuya/Aoi for DR1, Fuyuhiko/Sonia for SDR2, and... fuck it, Kiibo for V3, let's fucking go.
