Today was one of those 'I am a terrible friend, mother, spouse and all around person' type of days. And II I have been lately sleeping in if I can get K to go back to sleep since she's been waking up early early - about 4am. That means my husband has to fend for himself for breakfast, basically toast or yogurt or whatever. So last night I prepared his breakfast and tried to make it good, and dreaded another early wake up. Of course, she ended up sleeping great. She slept until past seven am. Thanks, my little baby. But I was easily frustrated today and I don't know why. She was great on the train - over an hour long ride. She was fantastic at jidoukan, with the exception of some gentle pushing. She is the perfect child and a typical toddler. But the demanding of 'up down up down up down' in the train station and swatting at my phone while I tried to look up directions - admittedly minor things - was really grating today. Why? I don't know. It's like I was looking for an excuse to be grumpy. I met some new friends today though and I feel bad that I was in a funk. Was it the rain? On the way back I stopped at the supermarket and suddenly realized my shop (and bank) cards were missing from my wallet. Oops. Panicked a bit on the way home until I climbed the steps to my apartment and realized the cards were right there. On the ground. Untouched. So yeah. Thanks neighbors. Sorry Sarah for being a crab, thanks for playing with us today. Sorry K-chan for being a grump, thanks for your patience, don't ever think I don't love you. Sorry husband, your breakfast tomorrow will be plentiful but probably cold. Sorry me for being a butt. I love my toddler. I wish I loved myself as much. HAHA just kidding, that's impossible. But a little more self esteem would be nice. I think we will just go to the park tomorrow after a trip to the post office.
