I call this drink an "Article of IM-PEACH-MINT.” I first posted this recipe back in 2017, at the beginning of the Russia investigation. I never thought that I would need to post it again, but here we are. In the waning days of his Administration, and in a desperate attempt to cling to power by any means necessary, the President urged an angry mob, fed by lies and false grievances, to march on the Capitol in order to intimidate his own Vice President into violating the law and his own constitutional oath by sending certified electors back to the States. What resulted was a violent insurrection that left five people dead, many more injured, and our reputation around the world in tatters. THAT is the legacy of the Trump era. An era of “American carnage.” And today, he got impeached for it. Again. So here’s to you, Mr. President. Drink up. In fact, have two. You deserve it. Cheers! 🍑🍑🇺🇸🍹

A few things to note this morning

As much as I've enjoyed it, we have to admit that Baseball came back too soon. 12 players and 2 coaches on a single team have tested positive - and they aren't traveling home because home has it even worse! They've quarantined themselves in Baltimore.

I've noticed an increasing trend in that the count of new cases and deaths reported in the U.S. go down on weekends - as if the cases discovered on Sundays in certain states aren't counted.

I would have thought that Making America Great Again would involve fewer swastikas.

Those 5 words that everyone keeps making fun of that Trump used in his "cognitive test'? It's actually only 4 words. The 5th is an abbreviation. A widely used and accepted one, to be sure, but not actually a word. Abbreviations aren't accepted in that test. He didn't actually pass it.

If Slavery was a necessary evil to create a nation, isn't that nation inherently evil as well?

And on a personal note, I have spent the past couple of days rediscovering my love of three jazz bands: Spyro Gyra, Yellowjackets, and Weather Report - All of whom I've had the good fortune to see perform live. Might I suggest to you that you go back and discover some joy from your early 20's as well. Grab hold of that - because the next 5 1/2 months are going to be a nightmare.
