When one suffers from the agonizing pains of toothache, it is indeed foolhardy and entirely inconsistent with Cosmic and Natural law to affirm "I have no toothache, and am at peace with the Universe". Such an affirmation neither affects the toothache as a pain, the cause of the toothache and its pain, nor anything else concerned therewith. Nor does it bring about any substantiating proof that the sufferer is […] at peace with the Universe.

amazing fact and science fiction stories, july 1961 issue.
from my grandfather's scifi collection - funnily enough the first page contains an recruitment advert for the organisation/club that he was a part of!
(he was a member of the rosicrucians since the 1930s, so he definitely wasn't brought in by ads like this, but i can imagine his amusement at having found an advert for his own society in a magazine he was reading..)

Do you have any information if the AMORC can raise concerns?
A brief overview of the beliefs: Rosicrucian teachings are a combination of occultism and other religious beliefs and practices, including Hermeticism, Jewish mysticism, and Christian gnosticism. The central feature of Rosicrucianism is the belief that its members possess secret wisdom that was handed down to them from ancient times.
The AMORC (Ancient and Mystical Order of the Rosae Crucis) sees itself as the continuation of the ancient mystery schools of the Middle East, once headed by Solomon and Amenhotep. According to its own history, the group works in 180-year cycles in which public activity is followed by a period of secrecy and silence.
Some famous followers of Rosicrucian are Cornelius Heinrich Agrippa, Jacob Boehme, Robert Fludd, Leonardo da Vinci, Ella Wheeler Wilcox and Claude Debussy.
Dr. Leonas Petrauskas is a name that comes up. (Australia)
Pierre S. Freeman has written about his experience as a member of AMORC. I haven’t read it.
The belief system has been used in RA just as many others have. That doesn’t mean AMORC as a whole is concerning.

Rosicrucianism Meaning and Defining
Rosicrucianism is a spiritual and cultural movement that arose in Europe in the early 17th century after the publication of several texts purported to announce the existence of a hitherto unknown esoteric order to the world and made seeking its knowledge attractive to many. The mysterious doctrine of the order is “built on esoteric truths of the ancient past”,…

If it were true that ill health and suffering or disease were the result of some aberration of the mortal mind's memory of its Divine attunement, or some trick or false reasoning within the mortal mind alone, then we would be logical and justified in concluding that it would be necessary only to untrick the mind, or establish a conscious realization of Divine attunement, thereby cleansing of the mind's conceptions [through] the repeated affirmation that disease and pain do not exist, and that this would sufficiently alter the the conditions and leave one free from all suffering, disease, and pain. But such is not the case, fortunately.

In the Occidental world generally, the value or usefulness of affirmations to affect one's physical, mental, or material conditions has been greatly misunderstood, and the same may be said of the real fundamentals of applied psychology [...] The misunderstanding regarding affirmations came about through the miscomprehensions of the […] conception of the fundamental mental laws of psychological consciousness.
