the train derailment is kind of peak 911 drama to me. abby saying buck stopped waiting for her a long time ago. smash cut -> buck and eddie discussing chris going to summer camp. new girlfriend unwittingly meets the ex girlfriend setup with eddie meeting abby first. BOOM. dramatic abby fiancé reveal. buck is spiralinggggg. and eddie is being less jealous and moreso protective over buck because he’s watching him willfully put himself in danger out a sense of debt to abby for making him a better person (in his mind), but all eddie ever saw was the aftermath and how much abby hurt him. like. and that’s his guy!!! he simply cannot get behind anyone who broke his guy’s heart like that!! and then we have bossdad subordinateson subordinateson-in-law dynamicmaxxing inside the train car. buck (still being crayzay) says look. bobby. i know your beloved wife just got horrifically assaulted last episode. but you do NOT need to project that fear onto me. ok? because i’m being normal. now if you don’t mind im going to go hang off this unsecured train car that’s about to collapse and shaking violently every five to ten minutes and take a saw to it because i HAVE to save my ex-girlfriend’s fiancé to be worth anything. then abby and buck have the weirdest conversation ever to provide him “closure” that doesnt really give any satisfying answers as to why she did that to him, but rather leaves me pondering the pressing questions like “what ever happened to her apartment?” “who was paying for that after buck left?” and “did she ever get any of her stuff back?” episode ever. to me
