man i am so with you re. people saying shit abt gaming's name. that's my sibling's name and it drives me up the wall to see people being so... weird about it. makes me wanna screech. i can't help but wonder what it would've been like if a character shared my name instead. it wouldn't resemble an english word, but it would have the word "gay" in it. probably would cause an equal amount of annoyingness in the fandom.

they are so important......... they really are the heart of angel investigations it's them and doyle and then wesley and then gunn and fred and lorne but like. angel and cordelia were around each other a lot in buffy where we know cordy trusted angel to drive her home and angel saved cordy and buffy in reptile boy and they had their chat in the bronze. so i think it's important for both of them to have that grounding figure in la especially before wesley joins AND more importantly cordelia was there when angelus was there in buffy season 2... she was part of the intervention in s3... and this in turn makes her belief in and acceptance of angel so important. preparing his blood (and angel making breakfasts u_u) and adding cinnamon to experiment and the 'don't be embarrassed we're family' line. wah. when she brings flowers to him to brighten things up... on the flip side you have angel's willingness to work with cordelia from the very start of angel (show) when cordy is struggling to adjust to life in la and then later the line that rly stands out for me is 'that's not why i need you you're important' when cordy speaks of her fear of losing the visions. actually kind of a perfect dynamic. angel is like time to brood ==" and cordelia is very blunt and forceful in this way that does not let him shut her out and also the way she makes fun of him is perfect it's brilliant. they're family :( AI raising connor :( i do like the romantic arc in the way that it's left ambiguous/unresolved... groo appearing right at the end of waiting in the wings lol and it is fun to see angel being awkward. however i hateee that it's unresolved because of what they did to cordy like much as i enjoyed s5 i do think about what we lost (cangel bestieship, cordelia refusing to put up with angel's and spike's behaviours, cordelia trying to get them just to kiss). you're welcome episode of all time though!!! angel there are no people like us... i'll be seeing you... i digress. i think generally i love them as a dynamic and i like the idea of connections in unlikely places and growing over time... i would put them in the category of best friends who are in love but you don't know what type of love it is (earlier angel and wes go here too) which is so good forever <3

niche blogging #once again but Passion Planner had to raise prices this year* AND phased out their wire-o bound option for 2023 so, as always, the hunt is on, mainly because... I am very annoying to myself AND others with my fussy little planner needs.

(*the prices are significantly higher thanks to supply line issues and materials costs... I used to say Agendio was the backup choice I'd never use because prices start at $40-50 and can go up to $100+, but Passion Planner is like $50 a pop now 😬)

anyway, my non negotiables are DATED planners (sorry LiveWhale, Panda, GoGirl, Legend, Clever Fox, etc), with a month-week month-week page layout, A5 size, 2-page monthly view starting on Sunday (preferably w lined squares + shaded weekends), and vertical lined or grid hourly columns for the 2-page weekly view (Sun start + full size Sat & Sun heavily preferred), and I do like wire binding over soft/hardcover books. I have no actual use for faux inspirational seize the day Sventhink™️ BS in an agenda, either, so stuff like the ~Law of Attraction~ planner make me want to kick & bite & hurl.

so, since it's half the price of PP, I'm thinking I'm going to try the POPRUN medium academic '22-'23 from Amazon (if my current planner starts driving me crazy & I can't hold out until winter, yk; though I may get one just to feel consolidated) & then Frankenstein it with a full year 2023 planner once they're available. and I figure since I'm not in school at the moment** & left Sbux, the half-weekend blocks might be easier to tolerate now. (**I'm guessing based on the fact that half-weekend boxes didn't bother me in K-12 planners, but became a bigger deal in college, that my main issue is a functional frustration w needing the Saturdays & Sundays and not having room vs fussiness on principle... but we'll find out!)

my backup choice so far is the Indeme weekly appointment book & planner, OR the Inamio 24 hour planner if I do go back to softbound— it's even cheaper than the POPRUN, but I hateee Mon thru Sun month displays, I do not care if that makes me aggressively American. it just otherwise ticks all the rest of my funky little boxes.

i always hated wearing shoes as a kid. pressure calms me down (like I like socks w pressure on the middle of the foot) but i always hateeed shoes. it would drive me nuts that they would squish my toes together and i couldn't rly move them properly, it felt unnatural and restrictive and horrible and it bothered me so often. i had to learn to just get used to it over time but still, took me long. i always had a thing too when i got a bit older w not being able to stand what i felt like were my toes being too close even when i took my shoes off; something in my muscles felt messed up and id always try to spread them out to get rid of the feeling

i kinda clacked it up when i got older to neurosis and my general weirdness (and i still dont like shoes lol im always barefoot as much as i can b),,,,, but learning recently that the shoes we wear today fuck up our feet makes so much more sense. like, theyre squishing our feet unnaturally and leading to issues and narrowing our feet an fucking up our toes and our bone structure and all these other things and its like .... oh. our feet are naturally much wider and dont look like this. lol i was right on to not like that shit and feel weird abt it and not like having my feet be slowly malformed
