Wait i am actually really annoyed rn and I'm trying to think of this rationally and send you a mature ask but something you said ticked me off .

Jungkook is my ult bias, I've stanned bts since nearly debut and I've watched him grow up and mature and change in so many different ways. There's one thing that didn't change tho throughout the past recent years, at least on camera, it's how caring he is to jimin. Jungkook is a little shit sometimes yes, he's boyish and a brat and he loves teasing people, jimin included. I don't see how the joke yesterday was any different than the past few years? How is this any different from memories 2020 when jimin asked him what does he feel about being in a unit and him responding joking about how he'd want to change up things sometimes. Jimin found it funny and they were both clearly joking, if anyone comes telling me about how jungkook doesn't care about jimin bc of that one joke I would laugh at them and call them dumb. He was clearly joking then and he's clearly joking now and if he's doing that, then I'm sure jimin is fine with it.

I find it a really bold statement from you and anon on how 'he doesn't care anymore' or '2019 jungkook is long gone'. It's a really bold statement bc we don't even have 1/4 the content we had back in 2019 for one, we barerly see anything from their personal life for two. And if anything, jungkook would've made this same joke in 2019 lmao.

it's so funny that jk later answered another question about jokes and (jokingly) asked where a joke begins and where does it stop being a joke. funny because i think a joke stops being a joke when it's used against others. which happened with his "joke". of course he didn't actually mean that he'd be ok with someone kidnapping jm. but he should've known how his fandom would take his joke. he's not stupid. and he's on social media enough to exactly know how this fandom behaves 90 percent of the time. and if he really cares about jm i need him to be more mindful of what he says and does in public. a bad joke between friends is one thing, a bad joke when millions of people see it while the one joked about can't even respond in any way is something else. my opinion. i don't hate jk but i'm also not happy about what he did.

How do you feel about JK answering that kidnap Jimin ask with #ofcourse? Obviously it was a joke but I’m pretty sure JM antis will have a field day with this 😡

My feeling is that when people talk about 2019 jikook or Jungkook and how it's different from who they are or how they act now, it's about comparing the general vibes of their relationship in 2019 to 2022. You say it yourself, and Jungkook has changed through the years and there is difference between 2019 and 2022 too. He seemed softer, sweeter in 2019. That's all. I don't agree that he doesn't care about Jimin, I don't always agree with every single word that I reply to, but I find it tedious honestly to pick apart a message and say "I agree with this, I don't agree with this, yes, no, you're right, you're wrong." Just without incentive I already talk (type) a lot lmao I do try to not make posts that are so long. I end up writing a lot anyways, but sometimes I try. So yeah, I agree with the opinion that they are different from 2019 and some of those differences are great! and some others not so much.

It's true, it was a joke. I know it was a joke and I treat it as such. Jungkook spent the first two years of BTS existence "joking" about Jimin being the ugly one in the group. 2016 and 2019 he joked about Jimin's "small pepper", September 2020 he was joking about the way Jimin sings in BWL intro. Just some that come to mind right now. I'm not a sensitive person and I know none of those jokes or the kidnapping one were about me, I think the only one I had a really bad reaction to was when he sang Jimin's BWL intro in that voice in front of the gamers guys. Because I've always loved Jimin's voice and it has always hurt me that it took such a long time for him to be confident about it. But no, usually I don't take their jokes personally. Because I know how to differentiate which feelings are mine and which are Jimin's or Jungkook's. Feelings that I have no idea about, btw. I felt bad about the BWL intro joke but maybe Jimin didn't care. I know that. Yesterday, I just felt so exhausted. I literally rolled my eyes when I saw the translation. I KNOW what jokes are, and like you've said it's not even the worst joke about Jimin that Jungkook has made. But many people in this fandom are the ones who don't know what a joke is or will use that against people I like. Unfortunately I come across the things they say.

The thing about jokes, too, is that you can't expect everyone to have the same reaction to a joke. Just the other day Chris Rock made a "joke" about Jada Smith, who's balding because of an autoimmune disease, and Will Smith punched Chris Rock on live television. Some people thought he overreacted because to them it wasn't such a bad joke, since she's bald so apparently if you're bald strangers have the right to joke about it, didn't know that one. And some others thought Will Smith was rightfully upset. (I believe he was rightfully upset btw).

Yes I know JK's Instagram joke was not that big of a deal, and Jimin is far from being a stranger to him, and I'm not putting it on the same level as Chris rock's joke, but I'm just bringing that up as an example of how even with serious situations like the Oscars one, people do react differently to jokes. JK made a public joke too, and clearly not everyone in the public will always agree. Anon2 brought up JK saying where does a joke stop being a joke and that's very valid, and everyone has a different opinion on where they stop, even JK knows that. Being the jokester that he is and has always been, I'm 100000000% he's been put in his place more than once for taking a joke too far.

Just like anon above ⬆️ I've seen lots of jikookers saying that was uncomfortable for them and they wish he would've answered differently or that he wouldn't have answered at all. Nobody (except antis) is saying he wants Jimin to be actually kidnapped or that he hates Jimin, or that Jimin is crying about it, it's just that a lot don't agree with what he said and the way he said it. Personally, I think he's done worse jokes and I'm not even moved by this one but I do feel tired. I've been tired for a while now about having to prepare myself for whatever he might say about Jimin or whatever way he might react to Jimin's affection. I'm tired of being worried. I don't want to change Jungkook and even if I wanted to, I would not be able to as much as I can't change the people who have constantly and will constantly hate on Jimin for whatever Jungkook says or does. I'm just tired of being on this side of things but it's unfortunately the only side for me to be in.

Again, what I've always said, JK doesn't really think about the way his relationship with Jimin comes across to the public. If he acted and said things constantly thinking "will this seem okay will this make me look like I'm tired of Jimin or will this make it seem like I love him" then their relationship would come across as perfect and ideal, and it's clearly not how they come across.

I think this joke also comes as one more baggage upon the pile of "disillusionment" that has been Jungkook/jikook's presence on social media. The no birthday posts for Jimin, the taekook posts, interactions, the radio silence when Jimin got surgery and during his recovery too, only Jimin posting jikook, etc. I think that everyone's been more sensitive about Jungkook and jikook's social media presence ever since their Instagram accounts were opened, because a lot of unexpected things have happened, and this was just one more of those things.

hi I have a big problem with how Anzu is written in yugioh and I wonder how much you agree. She is so weak and helpless and i wish the anime gave her more important and more mature nature and more complicated personalty. She is even worse in fanfiction! Everyone writes like they hate her or she is like really girly and damsel in distress. How would you write her different? have you seen anyone write her better. Hello anon. I don’t believe I have this type of question before, so no worries.

I strongly disagree on Anzu is weak and helpless. She has a badass, take no shit attitude in season 0 yugioh (both anime and manga). Not only she defended Yugi from bullies, she also bashed the globe on a brainwashed professor so they can escape from Shadi’s control, guided the group in Death T to avoid falling blocks. Oh, it happen offscreen but she even punched a man for touching her butt at work and got fired from it (manga based). Her badass attitude got really toned down and got reduced into a love interest role, which I have to admit as an Anzu fan, I’m disappointed on Anzu’s wasted potential. I can see why some people aren’t fond of Anzu and seeing her as a non action girl if people are not familiar with season 0 Yugioh in both anime and manga. The creators were more focused on Joey, Yugi, and Seto’s character development more so than female characters. Shounen anime (at least back in the 90’s), are more focused on male characters since their intended main audience are young boys. Female characters were used by creators as as eye candy and have limited roles that are stereotypical. For example, love interest, clingy jealous girl, the nagging wife, etc.

Despite that her badass attitude is toned down from season 0, she is strong. I just wish that the creators expand more of her character and have more complicated personality. She’s certain of her future as a dancer for a 16 yer old which is impressive. How many 16 years old already knew what they want in the future? Many adults don’t know what they want in their 20’s. She’s adventurous, headstrong, and confident. Season 0 Yugioh revealed that she’s the type of person that believe one can make one’s future rather than passively get through life. She rejected the fake psychic’s services and said something like “That I can make my own future and see it for myself.”

She helped both Yugi and Atem open up more, find Atem’s past by suggesting to go to the museum, supported her friends to go on when they want to give up, doesn’t take Seto’s attitude, and discover Atem’s name. If it weren’t for Anzu discovering Atem’s name, Atem would lost to Zorc.

I saw people wrote Anzu pretty well as a well rounded person and doesn’t fall into the homophobic girl/slut shaming for the fan’s shipping, damsel in distress, or make her a villain. I have some fanfic recs that has Anzu as a well rounded person. Some fanfics have shipping and I tagged them.

If I were to write Anzu for a story, I would expand Anzu’s backstory on how she and Yugi became friends. I would expand more on how she is independent & adaptive from the traveling due her family’s work. I would write her as a headstrong woman, while trying to avoid making her short tempered. She’s an expressive person and is not afraid to show her emotions. However, she is not easily flustered unless it’s someone she likes or in extreme situations. Once she’s more comfortable with someone she likes, she’s not easily flustered. Being emotional does not make a person weak. She’s emotional, but as a dancer, she is able to express her emotions as well staying calm in stressful situations considering that she has to do dance auditions for scholarships. In the manga, Anzu is the one in charge for leading the group to avoid the falling blocks at Death T. I would write her as a strong person yet have insecurities when it comes to love. She can be naive with trusting people too much, but she’s not taking shit from someone who mess with her. If a man cat calls her or say something sexist, Anzu would respond back with a sassy atttitude or call him out for cat calling.
