My third driving lesson today and well it’s not going so well…
#pre lesson#I was asking like a lot of people how good they were after doing 3 lessons#because I feel like I’m just really bad#but a lot of people were reassuring me that it’s fine#so anyway doing my lesson#everything is fine#until we have to do a right turn downhill#but I go on the curb#and then queue breakdown#like I’m sat there trying not to combust in front of this dude and he’s like you alright#and I’m like y 💧e💧s#so he drives for a bit#then I re do the turn it’s a lot better than last time#like my issue is I’m a bit anxious to use speed#so I say that to him and he’s like okay that’s fine don’t put as much speed#then a couple minutes later he’s like increase the speed#and I’m like……#I had to stop a lot and take breaks#which I felt really bad about#but I just get really anxious when there’s loads of obstructions and there are cars coming#I just hate that driving lesson have been a source of anxiety#like I shouldn’t be this anxious/nervous about them because it’s just a lesson#the urge to quit is really strong 😭😭#but number 1 this is a really valuable skill to learn#and number 2 winners never quit and quitters never win#which is a quote by vince lombardi#and might be like in a barbie song#gatherrambles#gatherbabblesaboutnonsensicalstuff

Yesterday evening I received this horrible pain on the bottom of my left foot 🦶 and I’m still feeling it though it’s improved.
I didn’t say anything to anyone or say anything for Google to easedrop on me 😂 I conducted no searches. I didn’t step on anything on the floor. Nothing.
Later that night, I was scrolling through social media when I saw this:
People of God where Jesus’ wound is in the image is the EXACT location of wear I’m feeling this mysterious pain and on the SAME LEFT FOOT.
👀🦶
Then I remembered that some Christians will experience Stigmata’s which are Jesus wounds.
I’m shook 👀
I mean what are the chances. Now there is no visible mark on my foot but the pain is undeniable.
Our LORD truly suffered a horrible torturous death 😞
I’m not entirely sure what this means for me but I do know from time to time I feel the pain of others not just emotionally but physically too. To feel just an ounce of Jesus’ pain is unreal and weirdly an absolute honour.
Come to think of it, I had just finished prayers to St. Anthony the night before and he too had the Stigmata OH. MY. GOSHHHHHH. I also had a long conversation with God about how much I’d love to become a Nun 😅 and how I am truly nothing without him🥹 I just love him so much 🫶🏾😭🤍
You can read about St. Anthony’s Stigmata here ⤵️
What does this mean for you, child of God reading this… like the image says, God is about to intervene in a situation in a miraculous way. Get ready because, for some of you this will be life changing. Why? Because after Jesus died he ascended to the throne. You will be ascending to either a higher spiritual position or status in your life. This feels like a DIVINE PROMOTION. HAHAHA I love it for you babes. God is about to elevate somebody ⬆️
*I’m internally screaming and fainting*
PS. Someone’s long term suffering is going to come to an end. YES. You will be set free. Amen 🙏🏾
PPS. It’s often reported that those who before receiving the Stigmata have said they were offered a chalice of water to drink. People of God, I told y’all Y E S T E R D A Y I heard a voice tell me to drink water a few nights ago 💧
I also joke about fainting hahaha but I was feeling so lightheaded that very day and felt as if I was about to black out thinking my God stress is coming for me in the form of hypertension and I learned TODAY that St. Catherine fainted when she experienced receiving the stigmata. Her body was buried in Santa Maria Minerva in Rome. There is also a city by that name in Cuba where I just returned from haha 🇨🇺
I’M SCREAMINGGGGGGG
So the scriptures:
Recall I gave a prophetic word for the prophets of God and their reward. I said when I received the Holy Spirit the scriptures became ALIVE. In verse 45 it says “then he opened up their minds so they could understand the scriptures”. I just cannot!!!! I think I’m really going to faint this time 😂😂😂
Secondly, in verse 49 Jesus says “I am going to send you what the Father promised”. Now here, Jesus was speaking of the Holy Spirit but in the prophecy I said God told me to tell you this person was going to be led by God to give you this prophets reward.
What’s personal for me is in verse 38 Jesus says to the disciples “why are you troubled, and why do doubts arise in your mind”. I was having doubts not even gonna side step that 😅 I am DEEPLY TROUBLED 😣 I am not at peace with something to be vulnerably honest. I’ve also been speaking to God about the #38
In verse 49, Jesus speaks of the disciples being “clothed with POWER”. I have often said to you all that the Holy Spirit gives us supernatural power(s). Ask for it. As a child of God and a disciple yourself, ASK for we know all things will be given to us in the name of Jesus.
Babes. Someone pinch me.
🤏🏾
I would record this but my throat is sore 😭 Pray for me please. Thank you 🙏🏾
#confirmation#thank you God#✨MIRACLES✨#I am still in disbelief#God speaks through his Holy word#just wow

how would the main 3 and Giyuu deal with a s/o who has random bursts of affection. Example: they’re just chilling and then s/o casually just cups his cheeks and kisses his forehead tenderly and then s/o just walks away over to the other side of the room back to their spot where they were sat before. Not even noticing if they’ve flustered their lover. (Basically cat like affections. Cat: Minds their own business usually, but once a day will come to cuddle)?
Hi hi nesting-dreams! Thank you so much for submitting this request when you submitted the previous one so I’m super sorry for taking a while to get back to you ToT I like this request, it’s so cute TT!! As always, I’m sorry for any mistakes! Please let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to change or fix :D I will gladly do so!!

In those brief moments he would give them twice the amount of love they would give to him
Tanjiro’s smile would be brighter than the sun feeling their arms wrap around him and gently pull him into a kiss TT
He would press his forehead against theirs gently and look into their eyes
Y/n would always have a light blush on their cheeks as they felt his loving gentle gaze
Though it made him sad whenever they would part from the embrace
His favorite moments of the burst of affection was the gentle touch on his cheeks and the warm caresses of their soft hands
Tanjiro was always more than happy to receive those bursts of affection but it would definitely leave all flustered after they would retreat

𝒁𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒕𝒔𝒖
Oh my dear god
Those random bursts of affection would always catch him off guard but he would be so happy
Would start fangirling with a deep red blush on his cheeks
Zenitsu’s heart would be beating rapidly against his chest from the thrill of the embrace and their touch
“N/N!! N/N!! YOURE SO CUTE JUST LIKE A LITTLE KITTEN,” he would hold them tightly and nuzzle his cheek against theirs
Homie would go through the 5 stages of grief when their burst off affection would end and they retreated from him
He would mostly cry a little bit and a cute pout would form on his lips, cheeks gently puffed out as he sniffles
“You’re so mean,” he would huff jokingly with light tears in his eyes but he loved hearing their soft giggle before returning back to their book or whatever they were doing
But he dearly enjoyed those moments

𝑰𝒏𝒐𝒔𝒖𝒌𝒆
Would literally do his best to predict when those moments would happen for the sake of challenging them to being more affectionate
He’s only been able to successfully predict it once
The smug look on his face with he beat them to the embrace and his cute gremlin laugh as he nuzzled his cheek against their forehead
“Looks like I have caught you off guard!” He would say as he would them tightly against him, looking into their e/c eyes
Mans ends up quieting down when he feels their warm embrace and loving stare, a shy smile on his lips and gentle blush coating his cheeks
Inosuke really enjoyed those moments, it made him feel giddy because those bursts were like little treats
🌲—————————————————————🌲
💧—————————————————————💧
𝑮𝒊𝒚𝒖
Would always get caught off guard and ask if something was wrong
But slowly got used to realizing that it was just their bursts of affection
Giyu’s smile would always be soft and gentle as he held them close
Though a light blush would form on his cheeks whenever they would kiss him anywhere on his face especially his forehead
He’d always feel his heart beat faster feeling the warmth and love packed in their kiss
Whenever they would retreat, he would hold onto their hand until they were no longer within his arm range TT
Those little moments had more value than gold to him

Ticklish Shenanigans - Chapter 43
I’m With You in the Dark

WARNING: This chapter contains forbidden ketchup and violence towards sentient talking felines.
Papyrus’ bones suddenly grew hollow with dread as an eerie aura swept through him. “N-no, it is not....”
“Huh? What isn't normal?” Denise asked. “It’s the Underground. Shouldn’t everything be dark?”
“Of course not, we had our light sources. But ... Judgement Hall is supposed to be bright and golden. Not ... this.” The taller skeleton gestured with his hands to the yawning blackness before them. “Do you think this is the doing of who we presume to be our father, Sans?”
----
"well, it does remind me of my last encounter with him, so, it ... it seems likely.... hey, i want to test something. denise, could you shine your light in there? try aiming it toward the ground inside too." He gently leaned against Papyrus, knowing his brother wasn't fond of the dark.
----
“Yeah, sure thing.” She shined her app light down on the ground and tilted it upward, the faint circle of brightness abruptly vanishing once it entered Judgement Hall.
Papyrus leaned against Sans and gulped nervously, holding onto his hand fairly tightly, his bones softly rattling as he shook.
----
The light barely pierced through the entrance of the hall, and Sans got as close as he dared without pulling Papyrus any closer to get a better look. There was no reflection on the floor. Stepping back, he gave his brother a comforting nuzzle as he squeezed his hand. "that's not normal darkness ... technically, dark is the absence of light, but that darkness is eating the light." Don’t get lost. "we shouldn't go inside, i'll shortcut us around—"
...S...A...N...S.......
The smaller skeleton froze.
...D...O...N...T... .....C...O...M...E... .....B...A...C...K.....
Frisk looked at him quizzically. "What happened? Sans, are you okay?"
"p-pap ... did you 'h-hear' anything...?"
----
Papyrus had squeezed Sans' hand so tightly it almost seemed it would pop off, his bones rattling loudly now as his trembling intensified. Unable to find his voice, he just nodded.
Denise looked around, brows furrowed in confusion. “Huh? Hear what? I didn't hear anything. Did you, Frisk?”
----
"No, nothing." Frisk shook her head, watching the monsters in concern.
Wincing at the pressure, Sans gingerly nuzzled his brother's arm. "hey, it's okay, pap," he said softly. "i gotcha, i'm not gonna let anything happen to ya." He turned to face the darkness, eye lighting with magic. "why are you tryin' to scare us off?"
...........S...T...O...P... .....L...O...O...K...I...N...G....
"no! don't be cryptic. we ... we want to help. is there some way to help you?"
....S...A...N....S.... .....F...O...R...G...E...T.... ...M...E....
"forgetting is the opposite of what i want! don't you want us to help ya? how can we do that?"
....F...O...R...G...E...T......
Sans let out a rather frustrated sigh. "i just ... don't understand...."
----
“B-b-but.... W-we want to help y-you, Dad.... I-if you are our dad....” Papyrus struggled to keep his voice from quivering, with little success.
All the while, Denise was trying to find someplace in the darkness where the phone’s light might burn through, but it seemed to be absorbing the light like a black hole. “This isn't your everyday darkness. This is ... advanced darkness.”
----
The strange non-voice seemed to make some sort of distraught 'noise'. It's presence suddenly strengthened in the brothers’ minds.
...R...E...M...E...M...B...E...R...I...N...G.... ....B...R...I...N...G...S.... ...D...A...N...G...E...R.....
Sans softly gasped, sockets shutting tightly even as his magic continued to flare, and he rubbed at his skull with his free hand.
"but ... why? how? what makes it so dangerous? th-this darkness ... that's you, isn't it?"
...Y...O...U...R...E.... ....C...A...L...L...I...N...G..... ...T...O.... T...H...E... ....V...O...I...D.....
Sans sockets flew open, magic dissipating, eyes completely hollow. Tendrils of darkness started oozing from the hallway entrance.
...A...N...D... ...T...H...E.... ....V...O...I...D.... ....I...S... ...C...A...L...L...I...N...G... ...B...A...C...K....
A sudden moment of clarity hit Sans so hard that he staggered. His fingers clawed as he gripped his skull. "no ... no, that's not possible...! th-that means—!"
...I...M... ....T...R...Y....I...N...G... ...T...O... ....H...O...L...D... ...I...T... ....B..A...C...K.....
Pupils flickering back, Sans pulled Papyrus as he grabbed the two humans, teleporting them all to the living room of their old house in a panic. Letting go, he collapsed to the floor in a trembling heap, breathing erratically. His notes scattered on the floor.
----
“H-Huh?! Hey, what happened? Where are we?”
“S-Sans?... Sans! Sans, it's okay!” Papyrus hugged his brother tightly and rubbed his back, his own eyes shut tight. The darkness of his closed sockets only brought back the images from the hall’s entrance, so he opened them again and stared off at the wall.
----
Frisk blinked a few times, readjusting to the sudden new, but oh-so-familiar surroundings. Nostalgia nearly bowled her over, brushing aside the strangeness of the dark. "Oh, this is their old house in Snowdin where I spent the night!" she answered.
Sans hugged Papyrus weakly, quietly savoring the soothing rubs as he rested his body while his mind spun.
Glancing down, he shakily reached one hand and grabbed the picture he'd sketched. "n-no wonder i didn't write any more about it.... 'don't forget', heh... shouldn't've even put that...."
----
“Wow, so cool! I'm standing in a monster house right now!” Denise grinned as she began looking around, completely oblivious now to the skeletons’ current strife.
“Care to elaborate?” Papyrus didn’t really want to hear anything beyond that, but he knew that explaining things in his complex scientific ways made him feel better.
----
Still entranced, the little girl spotted a lone garment near the TV, filling up with amusement. "Hehe! Sans's sock is still here," Frisk giggled, following after Denise.
Sans started to pick up the rest of the papers, putting them in order to keep himself partly distracted. "i-it's ... complicated ... if i say anything that sparks your memory about certain ... things, then it might just get worse. 'cause ... d-dad or whoever it is .... technically shouldn't exist ... anymore. and because we've been trying so hard to remember ... that ... v-void is trying to stop that from happening." He looked at Papyrus in the eyes. "things that don't exist shouldn't be remembered, and if we have memories of things that don't exist ... to balance things out it will eradicate us too."
----
“A sock?” Denise looked over at it and grimaced, backing away. “Ewww, it's all moldy and gross!”
“Wh-what....” His voice dropped to barely a whisper in fear. “B-but ... I-I have so much more I want to do with my life!... And ... I don't want anyone to forget we ever existed.... What if, in turn, you and I both forgot the other existed? I can't forget you, brother, I can't live with that!”
----
Frisk laughed at her sister's reaction, though she glanced at the more somber skeletons.
Noticing her look, Sans flashed her a reassuring smile, pulling his brother a bit further away.
"i know, bro, i know...," Sans said quietly, "but that's already happened to us, with our dad. we probably had a completely different life, i probably wouldn't have been the one to raise you. th-this is different from resets and timelines, because those events actually happened, even if we can't remember. whatever happened to dad removed him from time completely, nothing about his life actually happened, even if we do remember ... it's difficult to comprehend, i'm still trying to figure it out, b-but i'm not sure if i should...."
----
“I'm ... not sure what to do anymore either.... I don't want to give up on Dad, but ... I don't want us to disappear, either....” Just then, Papyrus’ cell phone rang and he yelped in alarm. He looked at the caller ID and furrowed his brows in confusion. “Lady Toriel? Why would she be calling me? Hold on, I need to take this.” He answered the phone. “Greetings, Lady Toriel! ... What can the Great Papyrus do for you? ... Uhh, no? Why do you ask? ... WHAT?!” He leapt to his feet, eyes wide and wild with panic.
Noticing his distress, Denise ran over. “What's wrong?”
“Lady Toriel said Angel isn’t home! I think she may have followed us! She might be in Judgement Hall! I can’t have her disappear!”
----
"oh geeze!" Following them was totally something the kitten would do, Sans knew. The smaller skeleton shoved his stack of notes into his brother's hands. "put these in the workshop for me, i'm gonna go find her." He gave Papyrus's hand an extra squeeze, looking him in the eye. "i will find her, i promise, pap." Then he teleported to where they had been.
It was still dark, impossibly darker, and Sans yelped, scrabbling back as it immediately seeped toward him. "a-angel? you there, angel....!?" he called.
----
Papyrus felt a lot more at ease at Sans' promise; even though his older brother didn't like making promises, much less hold up to them, he just knew he would keep this one. He was still quite panicked, however. “Ohhhhh!... I hope Angel will be alright!”
Denise wrapped her arms around the worried monster. “Don't worry, Papyrus. Sans will save her. You know he will.”
He nodded, though he was still trembling a bit. He clutched onto his brother's notes tightly. “C-c'mon, let's go put these in Sans' lab and wait for him to get back.”
A weak, crying mewl sounded, barely audible, from within the Void.
----
"shoot! shoot...!" Sans looked at the nothingness in dread. He closed his eyes — it wouldn't make a difference anyway — bracing himself with a shaky breath, steeling his own thoughts. I'm real. I exist. I won't disappear. "angel! i'm going to come get you! don't move, i'll find ya!" He stepped forward.
Sans knew the Judgement Hall very well; the floor beneath him felt foreign, as though it didn't quite support him. Was there actually anything there? His skull was throbbing dully and persistently, the Void seeming to try to pry the knowledge that shouldn't be there away from him. "angel, t-talk to me! i need to follow your voice, okay?"
----
Angel could hear Sans' voice, but just barely; it felt like she was underwater, her hearing was so muffled. Persisting, however, she let out as many soft cries as she could muster. At one point she struggled to her paws, but the large gash scored into her side was much too painful and she plopped back in a small pool of her own blood. The blood loss was making her faint. Please find me, Sans.... Help.... It hurts....
----
Sans could only just hear the kitten, but it was enough to give him a direction. He cautiously walked, slightly dragging his feet so that he wouldn't accidentally step on her. His SOUL trembled, clothes not seeming to be enough to protect it from the Void's touch. Echoes of tremendous sorrows and joys he'd never experienced thundered distantly through his entire being.
What ... what was he doing?
He opened his eyes.
It was snowing. He saw two figures in the distance through the haze. One was his brother, he recognized. He was fighting the human again.
But why...? Weren't they....
Sans shook his skull. He knew how this turned out. They would fight and then become friends and have a playdate and then the human would stay at their house and—
He caught a glitter of silver, and suddenly, dust swirled upward against the falling snow, Papyrus's head dropping to the ground. Then it was gone too.
Sans was certain his SOUL stopped, every bone in his body feeling the perpetual winter's cold. "pap....!" He didn't scream, his voice was barely a whisper, hot tears leaving wet trails that quickly chilled and froze against his cheeks. He collapsed into the snow, sobbing.
What ... what was he doing...?
Sans opened his eyes.
It was snowing....
In the darkness, collapsed on his knees, Sans made soft sounds of distress as full visions of possibilities passed before him in mere moments.
----
“S ... Sans.... Pl.... Ple ... eee.... Sss....” The pain was too unbearable, and Angel’s head swam in dizziness. Before her head dropped and she lost consciousness, she could've sworn she heard the faintest sound of a little girl giggling eerily all around her....
Papyrus had placed the notes back in Sans' workshop about five minutes ago, and he was completely restless on the couch with worry. Denise had suggested they watched something on the brothers' old TV — which still surprisingly worked — and of course all that was on were reruns of MTT programs. Normally, the repetitive quiz and cooking shows would calm Papyrus down, but now it was as if he couldn't hear the TV at all.
Denise looked over at Papyrus, frowning in worry, and placed a hand on his shoulder. “Hey, are you okay? Don't worry, I'm sure Sans will be back soon with Angel.”
“It's been five minutes. Sans would've been back by now. Something must have happened. Did the darkness get to him?... Oh, I should have given him my cell phone before he left! Now I can't know if he's okay or not!”
The older human hugged the monster tightly. “Hey, it's all going to be okay. Sans is strong. He'll be back soon. Just keep believing that, like how you always would.”
----
Don't get lost....
"where am i?" Sans sobbed, completely shaken. Where had that warning come from, anyway?
Stop looking....
What was he doing? What had happened?
What was real?
Sans closed his eyes.
"h-help me ... please...! i-i'm lost," he begged into the Void. "i ... i don't know—" Suddenly, he clutched at his shirt in stress. "i made a promise...! i promised pap i'd find his cat. i promised...." Sans didn't make promises lightly. He didn't know where he was, but he was going to find her! Blindly crawling forwards, he felt his way along the strange ground.
Something touched his fingers, then grabbed his hand and gently guided him in a slightly different direction. It felt bony, but it wasn't Papyrus's hand. There was a gap where the palm should be. It let go and Sans reached and clutched for it but felt something soft instead.
"angel...! ...a-angel?" He felt something warm and wet seeping all around her. "no ... no, angel, please!" Gently, he scooped her up, cuddling her close. Bringing her back to Papyrus now wouldn't help. Concentrating with the sanity he had left, Sans teleported back to the Surface, to their house.
"toriiiiii...!" he wailed, sitting in the middle of the living room, sockets squeezed shut, bones slick with angel's blood. "a-angel needs h-help!"
----
Toriel heard Sans' cry for help from her bedroom and she rushed in, only to yelp loudly when she saw the injured kitten in his arms. “My stars! What happened to Angel?”
The shouting seemed to have just roused Angel from her unconsciousness, though she didn’t open her eyes. She whimpered feebly at the intense pain, already beginning to feel light-headed again.
----
"i dunno! sh-she's bleeding really bad! p-please, can you heal her?" Sans offered the kitten up toward Toriel's voice with shaking arms.
----
“Y-yes! Yes, I believe so.” The boss monster took Angel gently in her arms, trying desperately not to wince at the stench or feeling of blood, and placed a paw over her before activating her healing spell. “After this, I demand to know exactly where you and the others went!”
----
The others..... The others! Papyrus would be so worried! But.... Toriel would see—! So what? Everybody else in the house — even his enemy — knew what he could do. To an extent. And he loved her. Why hide it? "d-don't freak out. i'll be right back."
A moment later he was back Underground, in his old living room, the familiar sound of MTT TV playing. Sans trembled, refusing to open his eyes.
Had ... had any of that been real? Was he in another loop? No ... no, he could still feel and smell the blood.... "p-pap! pap where are you?"
----
The second Papyrus heard his brother's voice he leaped to his feet and rushed over to him. “SANS! Sans, oh stars, I'm so glad you're okay!” He knelt down and hugged him tightly, but pulled away when he felt something wet soak into his shirt. Looking down at Sans' hands, he felt like he was going to be sick.. “Oh.... Oh, my.... What ha-happened...?”
Denise ran over to greet Sans and gasped as she too saw the blood. “I-is that your blood, Sans? I didn't know skeletons could bleed!”
“They c-can't.... A-Angel....”
----
Sans slightly jolted at his brother's hug, mind suddenly spinning. Hadn't he seen Papyrus die? ...No, wait.... He shook his head lightly with a grimace. "i-i brought her to tori. w-we should all go back too. h-hang onto me, okay?"
Frisk turned off the TV, grabbing a bit of his jacket that wasn't stained with blood.
----
Still distraught that his pet had been injured to the point of drawing blood, Papyrus didn't say anything as he held on, not caring that the blood stained his shirt.
Denise held onto Sans as well by his jacket. “Um.... Why are your eyes closed, Sans?”
----
Sans flinched. "t-too bright...," he replied, making sure he could feel everyone before teleporting them all back to the Surface.
He'd successfully used his new shortcut method with others three times at this point, but he'd had no time to be glad about it. And the amount of times in such a short period still left him dizzy. Even while sitting, he swayed, head drooping toward his chest.
----
Papyrus was beginning to panic, not sure whether to check on Angel or comfort Sans. “Wh-what should I do?...”
“I'll check on Angel, you and Frisk stay here with Sans.” Denise rushed upstairs in the search for Toriel.
“Th-thank you....” Papyrus sat down next to Sans and rubbed his back soothingly. “A-are you okay?...”
----
Was he? "i ... as long as you're here, pap...." Every touch was an assurance. "i-i'll be okay, bro." He leaned up against him, trembling. "i love you." Don't ever let me lose you.
While Papyrus comforted Sans, Frisk wrapped her arms around Papyrus's middle. "Is there something I can do to help? Maybe get him something to wash with?"
----
“I love you too.... Thank you so much for keeping your promise to me, brother.” He hugged Sans back before looking down at Frisk. “Yeah, that sounds like a good idea. Thanks, Frisk.” He chuckled sadly. “Well ... I guess we're never going back Underground, huh?... Perhaps.... Perhaps Dad was never meant t-to be saved after a-all....” He trembled a bit as he began to silently weep. He had wanted so badly to help.
----
Sans shook his head. "no, pap, n-no, you were right. we can't give up on him. i can't leave him in th-that...!" His natural grin quivered and curved downward, sockets hesitantly opening a crack. The light did sting his eyes, but more than anything, he was relieved to glimpse Papyrus sitting there beside him. He shut them tightly again. "b-but i can't focus on it r-right away. i-it was awful, i-i know i'm not thinkin' real clearly right now.... i'm scared...," he admitted quietly.
----
“W-well... We don't need to worry about that right now.... M-maybe when we're more ... emotionally prepared, we can t-try again.”
Toriel entered the room with Denise at her side, looking quite troubled. “Sans, Papyrus. I have some good news and some ... disturbing news. The good news is I was able to heal Angel's nastiest wound, so she'll live. She lost a lot of blood, however, so someone will have to take her to the vet today before it closes. She's resting on your bed now, Papyrus.”
“O-oh, thank Goodness!” Papyrus leapt up to hug Toriel tightly. “Th-thank you so much, Lady Toriel!”
Toriel smiled a bit as she returned the hug. “Of course, dear. Angel's part of the family after all. Now for the ... disturbing news. As I was healing her, she kept on muttering words under her breath. She kept saying things like ‘control’ and ‘erase’. I'm ... concerned about her.”
He shuddered a bit. “W-was she attacked perhaps?...”
“I believe she was. She had a large gash in her side made by what seemed to be some sort of knife.”
----
Sans brought his hands to his face, shaking violently. The human had a knife! She killed everyone, he saw it! Did she attack Angel, too!? His mind throbbed. ...No, wait, that couldn't be right ... that wasn't real. Frisk was with the others when this happened. She wasn't like that anyway ... right?
"Here, Sans." Frisk gently nudged Sans's hand with a warm, wet towel.
Sans yelped, leaning back defensively, shielding Papyrus protectively, streaks of blood painted across his face where his phalanges had been.
"Woah! ...What's the matter, Sans?" the girl asked in concern.
"sorry ... s-sorry, k-kiddo, i ... i dunno...," Sans whimpered, unwilling to relax, still leaning away.
"Hmmm...." She offered the towel to Papyrus instead. "Maybe you should give it to him."
----
Papyrus was shaken up a bit by Sans' reaction. Trembling, he nodded and took the towel from Frisk to give to Sans. “Here you go.”
Toriel sighed heavily. “I'll leave you all to regain your strength and bearings, but after that I want to know where you had gone and why everyone's so shaken up. We should also try talking to Angel when she wakes up and see if she knows who her attacker was. We still need someone to take her to the vet however.”
“Well, Papyrus needs to stay around to comfort Sans, so maybe Frisk and I can bring her to the vet,” Denise offered. “Would that be alright with you, Frisk?”
----
Accepting the towel with shaky hands, Sans started to wipe himself down.
Frisk nodded. "Let's get her there as soon as possible! Do you know where the vet is, sis?"
----
“As a matter of fact I do!” The older human’s smile suddenly fell to a scowl. “Of course, my ex-boyfriend works there.... But I'm prepared to deal with him if it means helping Angel. With any luck, he won’t be working today. Can you go get her, sis?”
----
"Yeah, I'll just be a minute!" Frisk jogged to get another towel — dry this time — and a box to put it in. Rushing up to Papyrus's room, she gently scooped the kitten up, setting her on the towel, and much more carefully made her way back downstairs with the box in her arms. "Okay, I have her."
Sans set the towel in his lap. "d-did i miss anywhere?" he softly asked his brother. Still too shaken to give himself a proper look, he didn't see the blood still smudged all over his bones.
----
Denise’s smile returned. “Alright, good job. I believe the vet is about a mile south from here. You'll be able to walk that far, right?”
“Only a few spots. Let me help.” Taking the towel, Papyrus very gently dabbed and rubbed Sans' face and between his finger joints with the clean part of the towel.
----
"That's nothing compared to Papyrus's workouts! You lead the way!" She turned to look at Papyrus to give him her reassurance, but he was busy with his brother, so she refrained.
----
“Alright. We'll be back!” Together, the two sisters made their way outside and down the side of the road towards the vet.
----
Frisk followed closely after Denise. "Who's your ex? You mentioned him, but I hadn’t really heard about him before," she inquired.
----
Denise grimaced a bit. “Oh, there's a reason you didn't know about him.... His name is Chris, and he was pretty awful. He was so clingy and desperate to spend time with me, and he'd make sure to tell me how insecure he’d felt whenever I spent time with anyone else. I ... I don’t even think he actually liked me. He just liked the idea of having a girlfriend.” She gently bit her lip, trying to hold back the swell of past emotions threatening to spill over.
----
Frisk wrinkled her nose. "That doesn't sound like fun. Or nice. When was the last time you saw him?"
----
“About two weeks before I met Sans and Papyrus. Sometimes I still get texts from him begging for me to take him back. There's no doubt he'll beg for me back when we get to the vet....”
----
"Ugh! I bet he won't be happy to know you found someone else. Well, I've got your back if he gets all weird on you, Deni."
----
“No, he won’t. I’m really not looking forward to his begging and crying, because I know he will. Thanks, though, Frisk.”
----
Frisk giggled. "Hehe! You're the coolest, sis!" She glanced down in the box, checking on Angel's condition.
----
Denise blushed at the compliment. “Aww, thanks! You're so sweet! But I think we both know Papyrus is the coolest, haha.”
Inside the box, Angel was still sleeping. However, she had started twitching and whimpering a lot in her sleep, as if she were having a nightmare.
“Poor thing,” Denise frowned, looking into the box to see the kitten quivering uncomfortably. “I hope she's okay.”
----
"Well, that just means you both can be super cool together, hehe," Frisk teased with a giggle. She softly frowned at Angel's apparent discomfort. "I hope so too. But I'm glad she's alive!"
----
“So am I. I don't know what would happen if we lost her....” The older human looked back up at the younger one. “Who do you think could've possibly attacked her?”
----
Frisk looked thoughtful. "I don't know ... the Underground's empty as far as I know, but that weird darkness was new. Who knows what could be in there?"
----
“Well.... Whatever it is, we should probably stay away. I don't want you getting hurt, Frisk.”
----
"Yeah, I know.... And I don't want you to get hurt either!" Frisk wasn't sure if her sister would have the same ability of determination that she did, but she didn't want to take any chances.
----
“I'm not too sure about the skeletons, though,” Denise continued somberly. “They might be better off than us with their magic, but ... I'm not entirely sure if I wanna take any chances on that. Especially with how emotionally unstable Sans is now.”
----
Frisk slowly nodded. "Sans seemed ... really uneasy about me all of a sudden. I don't want to upset him any more than he already is. Maybe I should just stay out of his way for a little while...."
----
“Aww, Frisk,” Denise sympathized with a frown. She knew just how close her sister was to the older skeleton. “I’m sure things will sort themselves out in due time, don’t worry.” She looked back up as a large blue-and-white building appeared over the hills, and her stomach churned in apprehension. “We’re almost there.”
----
"Oh, good, carrying this box the whole way was a little harder then I thought," Frisk admitted, picking up the pace just a tad, but not too fast to avoid jostling the kitten.
----
“You sure have gotten a lot stronger over the years, haven't you?” Denise commented, hoping to take her mind off the prospect of potentially seeing her ex-boyfriend again. “Traveling in the Underground must've done wonders for you.”
----
Frisk giggled, grinning and joked, "I don't think I'd be able to pick you up yet. Someday, though! I'm gonna do it, that's my next goal! Hehehe!"
----
“Oh, yeah? Maybe when you've finally grown taller than me, hahaa!” Approaching the vet’s entrance, she opened the front door for Frisk. “After you, munchkin!”
----
"We'll see!" Frisk laughed, then nodded, hurrying inside and walking up to the front desk, setting the box down on top of it. "Our cat needs medical attention, she was healed by a monster but she lost a lot of blood from a knife wound."
----
A young man, looking to be in his mid-20s, looked up from his work hidden behind the desk. He swept his brown, feathery bangs off to the side before rising up to a stand, leaning over to peer into the box. He gasped softly at the sight of the injured kitten resting inside, then reached a hand in to gingerly stroke Angel’s cheek, causing her to twitch but not wake. “Oh, the poor thing. A knife wound, you said? That’s highly unusual — and very concerning — but whoever had healed her did a good job in patching up the worst of it. Don’t worry, sweetie, my team and I will have this little one fixed right— ”
His words died on his tongue once he looked up at the two girls, instantly recognizing the taller one with the luscious hair and sparkling eyes. He stared at her like a deer in the headlights for a few moments before stammering, “D-Denise!”
Denise huffed moodily, folding her arms and staring back at him with a deadpan expression. “Hello, Chris.”
----
Frisk looked between the guy and her sister. So this was Chris. She hoped he wouldn't make too big of a deal out of seeing Denise again if he was like her sister described him as.
----
“H-how have you been, Deni?” Chris tried, grinning awkwardly. The two of them had left on bad terms — well, Denise did anyway — and now he was able to speak to her in person again after months of being apart.
Denise subtly bared her teeth and growled, “I told you not to call me that anymore. Can you just help our cat please?”
Chris ignored her question. “Why haven't you been answering your texts? You've gotta be getting them! You're not ignoring me, are you?”
“Chris! Don't you have a job to do?”
“O-oh.... Well ... Maybe I'll give you a discount if you go back out with me?”
“No, Chris.”
“H-how about I treat your cat for free if you go out with me to dinner? Please!”
“Chris, for Pete's sake!” Denise stomped her heel against the tiled floor, making Chris leap back in alarm.
----
Frisk cleared her throat. "Excuse me, mister, but it's kind of urgent. It was a lot of blood...."
----
“U-um.... Y-yes.... Of c-course.... Just.... Wait here in the lobby....” He hesitated for a few moments before gently picking up the box and bringing it and the kitten it contained into the back.
Denise huffed and rubbed the bridge of her nose. “Gosh, he's just as clingy and pushy as ever.... Thanks for snapping him out of it, Frisk.”
----
"Wow, I could see that...," Frisk said, taking a seat, lowering her voice. "I was this close to playing the 'this is my sister's boyfriend's cat' card...."
----
“Oh, no, don't do that!” It took everything for her not to shout aloud, quickly sitting down next to her sister. “Chris can get pretty jealous. He might do something drastic if he found out.”
----
"Yeah, I guess that wouldn't be a good idea.," Frisk agreed. "I just hope he's good at his job...."
----
“Me too, otherwise we'd have a pair of livid skeletons on all our hands.” Denise glared in the direction of the front desk where the young man had once stood. “But mostly his....”
----
"That's for sure! I hope that they're doing okay too." Frisk rocked in place for a moment. "Oh, I still have some snacks and water with me, do you want anything?" She took off her backpack, dropping it to the floor and unzipping it.
----
“Sounds great! Do you have any Firecrackers? I could really go for something hot and spicy right about now.”
----
Frisk grinned widely. "You bet I do!" She pulled out two snack-sized bags of chips, handing one to her sister. She also pulled out two water bottles. "Here, just in case they make you thirsty."
----
“You're the best, little sis!” Denise took the bag and opened it, beginning to eat its contents.
----
"Another thing I learned from the Underground is to always be prepared!" Frisk said, breaking into her own bag.
----
“That’s a good skill everyone needs to know. I didn't think you needed a journey under the Surface to learn that, though, hehehee!”
Chris walked into the main lobby and up to the two sisters, grinning sheepishly at the older one. “Uhh, I-I gave your cat proper bandaging and medication. She should be just fine, so long as she doesn’t go bouncing around too much. S-So....” He rubbed the back of his neck.
“Thank you for helping our pet,” Denise said sternly, “but no, I still won't date you again. I'll just pay you in full instead.”
“B-but, Denise—”
“Chriiiiis!...”
He sighed in defeat, deflating a bit. “Alright....”
----
The little girl giggled through her munching. "Hmhm! I only had so much space in my pockets, you'd be surprised how many times I found myself with not enough, or the wrong things. Luckily...." I managed to fix it the next time. "...I managed to get by."
She smiled up at Chris. "Thanks so much, it means a lot to us! Can she come home right away?"
----
“O-Oh, uh, yeah, she can. Lemme just ... get her.” He went back into the back room and returned with a sleeping Angel in a little cat carrier. “You can keep the carrier. Make sure to let her sleep for as long as she needs to.”
“Thanks.” Denise took the handle of the carrier and smiled down at her sister. “Alright, ready to go, sis?”
----
"Thanks again, mister! Yeah, I'm ready, sis," Frisk answered as she zipped up her backpack, opening the door and holding it for Denise.
----
“Thanks, Frisk.” She left the vet alongside her sister.
Chris huffed and placed his hands on his hips in defeat. “Well.... There goes my chance to get back together with her. ...Or did it?” He began tapping his chin in thought.
----
"Well, when he's not being all desperate, he seems nice," Frisk commented when they were far enough away from the building.
----
“Ehh, I guess....” Denise reluctantly agreed. “He's a hard worker, I'll give him that much. But I'm still glad he helped Angel. She should be better in no time now.”
----
"I sure hope so," Frisk agreed. "Hopefully she'll be able to tell us what happened...."
----
“Yeah. I know the brothers would appreciate that.”
