Another depressing interview this time it's earthmix man bounprem mark now em idk who it is in that damn company came up with fucking trending and who keeps comparing these people cause clearly this thinking is reinforced and induced externally I wanna kill them it makes me so sad that em think they are gonna be out of the industry soon fuck man if fkt ever get here I'm gonna be devastated ik that's selfish to say but God they have so much talent and some fucker in that company is making them beleive they are so old at ripe young age of 27 ugh

to those who don't know what anon is talking about, feed just released an interview with earthmix and in it, they talk about many things, and among them, the pressures of being in the entertainment industry, growing up and how they want to take chances with new series before they disappear from the industry.

mix also comments about how he feels he doesn't have many fans but the fans he has are still loyal.

and while it is a bittersweet comment, i think it encapsules what i was talking about the other day. this business, to many of these actors, was never a long term thing. they thrive if they are popular, hence why events are important and why gmm and most of the companies demand numbers from the fans (and while fans couldn't do much about it, the last case was a gl that i was so looking forward to, for example, and they couldn't even get past the pilot trailer bc there were no sponsors).

khaotung himself said that he wants to study acting out of thailand when he gets to his 30's, and while it is a good thing that he wants to expand his vision on his craft since it's something he enjoys, it downs on us as fans that it doesn't really matter how talented these people are, bc talent doesn't equal popularity (and i'm not here saying that some popular ships and/or actors aren't talented, but... we all can think of at least one that you don't know why they are so up there despite being dog shit) and without popularity they don't really work (unless you're a problematic man, in that case, you're booked).

at the very least, earthmix are enjoying their time in the only friends dream on workshops, and i think that, if ofdo gets just as much hype as the first one did (we can't compare numbers bc at the time of was airing, this stupid trending thing wasn't this bad), they'll finally be able to receive more love from a different public. fk were talking today during press that they could work with bounprem and they'd show a different type of chemistry, but that all depends on other people, so it's not like they are thinking that their days are counted.

we can go on and on about how stupid the trending culture has become and how it's driving fans away from their fandoms and the artists they like, and how damaging it is not only to the artists' mental health but also the fans', but in the end of the day, things won't change. it brings them money. ofc it won't change.

my first impressions of gmmtv 2024 pt. 2 shows (and judging them by how likely I'd tune in to watch them)

Us The Series - i am not really familiar with the main leads but from what I've seen their chemistry is really good. The film style is giving artsy and indie but the production quality seems high. The plot looks interesting to me, it's the only one that really speaks to me. I have faith that the actual show will be amazing! It is the only gl drama of Pt. 2 😭 but at least it will be a good one! 1000/10 will definetely watch!

Ossan's Love Thailand - this is only so high bc I love earthmix. The plot is interesting and I love that earth plays a more loser like character hahaha. I know it's a remake and I want to watch the og before the remake, but where can I watch the original?? 10/10 will watch

Hide & Sis - a family/mystery drama where women are the main protagonists? Count me in. 10/10 will watch.

Sweet Tooth, Good Dentist - markohm finally get their own series!! I know many wanted a heavier theme but I'm still satisfied with a cute one! And Jimmy plays the love rival?? It's a last twilight reunion hahaha. 10/10 will watch

The Ex - Morning - I've never watch a KristSingto BL before even though they're one of the og's. 😅 Plotwise this might be the most interesting bc it's about rekindling a relationship. I plan to watch sotus before the new series comes out. 10/10 would watch

Break Up Service - This show is going to be so funny I just know it. Tbh I don't think I've watched a straight gmmtv drama before but this one got me hooked! 9/10 would watch

The Heart Killers - we got the mafia comedy that we wished for. Problem is that I really love firstkhao but I've never been interested in joongdunk (or their series) at all. I'll still watch ofc, and maybe this influences me to get into joongdunk. also first is a tattoo artist in this one 👀 8/10

Revamp The Undead Story - it's gay vampires with bounprem. I am interested. I am also interested in how bounprem are doing in gmmtv. Hopefully they get promoted well. 7/10 would watch

Thame - Po: Heart That Skip a Beat - I don't know any of the actors and the plot didn't immediately catch me. But the leads to look cute together so I'll probably watch. 7/10 would watch

Every other series, I am too tired and too lazy to think and rank them lol. But they're not sing special imo. Leap day has a kinda interesting plot but I don't think that makes me want to watch the series. I am afraid that it will be boring and or the actors won't deliver. Perfect 10 liners is kinda disappointing. I like forcebook so I might tune in to see more of them together. But why are they in a uni setting again after a show like only friends?? The other pairs seem fine, but tbh I would have preferred just one couple (and that has to be forcebook) i tend to overlook dramas with a big ensemble cast. Friendship forever might be the biggest disappointment of the year. They should've just made the show gay. Tbh when I first watched the trailer the subs weren't working and till the end I thought maybe they'll turn this into a gl always though the series then I opened twitter /tumblr and my optimism flew out the window. The dark dice - I love gemini but the plot is something that I've seen in multiple dramas and rn I have enough of survival games. Sorry buddy, I'll probably won't watch. Leap day was kinda hard to understand for me but whatever. Scarlet heart Thailand made tu tontawan look so pretty. But I snooze. What's even the plot? And too much men, even though I like some of them.

Rewatched the GMMTV2025 teasers and here are my thoughts on the lineup:

Ticket to Heaven - religious angst directed by p’Aof? This looks to be a masterpiece. I have no doubt GeminiFouth can pull this off and I’m sure I’m gonna love every heartbreaking moment of it!

Memoir of Rati - I’m a sucker for period dramas and this just looks beautiful and with an interesting storyline as well!

Girls Rule - Messy GL directed by Jojo?! All I can say is thank you! I’m seated for this!

Whale Store xoxo - It’s MilkLove, ofc I’ll watch it. It looks super super cute and I’m excited to see them outside a school setting!

Only Friends: Dream On - I SCREAMED! Mulitple times! I’m so fucking down for this! Messy exes EarthMix, Only Friends season 2, Boston! I’m ready!

Burnout Syndrome - It’s OffGun, it’s directed by Nuchy, what can I say, except I’m in? Looks messy in a delicious way

Cat for Cash - This is straight out of a fanfic. The boys got their rom-com, but Khaos character still crying over him mother, because of course we need a bit of angst from these two. I’m not sure it’s my thing, with the talking cats and all, but it’s FirstKhao, so I’ll be watching.

My Magic Prophecy - looks like the exact same formula JimmySea always do, but if it works or works I guess? Also Jimmy just keeps getting hotter?

Me and Thee - PondPhuwin has a spell over me and I didn’t even know why. The moment Pond showed up I was down for this! And I don’t even like comedy!

Dare You to Death - I’ve grown very fond of Joong, but am still a little on the fence about Dunk, but this looks like a good role for him.

That Summer - Looks very cute. I liked WinnySatang better in We Are than in MSP, so might check it, but mostly because of Mond!

A Dog and a Plane - I’ve yet to watch a TayNew series (!), but it looks fun! And Tay is 👀

Wu - didn’t tell us much, but looks intriguing. Word on the street says it’s bromance not BL, but can you do string of fate without romance??

Love You Teacher - when from oh damn chemistry to nope … but I do love Santa so maybe? Also, I know Santa is baby and sunshine smile, but I really want him to do more serious stuff, we know he can pull it off, he was so great in My Only 12%

Melody of Secrets - It’s different from ForceBooks usual, but I’m neither into FB nor horror, so probably not for me. I am very into Boun though, so maybe

My Romance Scammer - I feel like this one is either gonna be really (surprisingly) good or really bad

Boys in Love - I’m only here for Papang and Pod! I really wanted them to lead a series :(

Head 2 Head - yeah it looks cute, but doesn’t spark much interest for me

MuTeLuv - this one simple looks too chaotic and not in a good way

I Love a Lot of You - not really interested.

I was surprised BounPrem didn’t have a series, but maybe it’s because their vampire series isn’t even out yet?

Also I find it so funny that there barely any straight shows! Now we just need to get more GLs!

Thank you my love @disaster-j for tagging me - This is extremely overdue I know; I had this whole post written out almost 2 weeks ago but then right when I was getting ready to publish this 💖lovely💖 website decided to refresh and my post was lost. I was so mad that I didn't want to re-write it, but here I am anyways.

Currently Watching (I'm extending this to shows that have juuust finished too)

Kinnporsche - It's so fresh in my mind. I have way too many thoughts about this show to put down here, so i'm going to make another post similar to my Not Me Retrospective - all the things that were right and the things that were not. It may not have stuck to the book, and it may not have fully lived up to all the hype and expectations, but it's still unlike any other BL i've seen so far. Gotta commend them for that. Also it's the VegasPete show now, sorry I didn't make the rules. 7/10 (i'm sorry pls don't @me just read my retrospective later)

To My Star 2: Our Untold Stories - talented brilliant incredible amazing show-stopping spectacular...I think she deserves a separate post for herself too. Maybe when i'm not drowning under the guilt of not working on my Dissertation. There wasn't too much angst, the ending wasn't rushed, it was honestly perfect. Imperfect can be perfect too, you know. 11/10

Old Fashion Cupcake - I had low expectations for this so it kind of blew me out of the water. Great acting, incredible chemistry, and that scene in Ep 4 lives rent free in my brain. It's amazing how they (mostly) managed to tell a story in just 5 episodes and still have it feel complete and not unnecessarily rushed. A teensy bit of beef with how the finale went, but there's always something isn't there. 8.5/10

My Secret Love - Pretty mid, like the standard GMMTV sort of fare, featuring My-ponytail-is-my-personality-trait Boy, Walmart Saint Suppapong, Why RU's too-many-couples disease, mildly problematic behavior and a thin excuse of a plot. Still, it's nice to get something banal and light-hearted after all the weekend angst of KP and TMS. The latest ep was surprisingly better and less superficial than all the others so far.

Star and Sky: Sky in my Heart - The sequel to JoongDunk's Star in my Mind, this is typical lighthearted GMMTV stuff ft. P'Mek and debut actor Mark. A series of mini-series' where new couples get to flex their acting muscles a bit and test out their chemistry on the screen. I don't have much to say except it's soft and cute, nothing too groundbreaking.
