im at almost 7.1k words in my 12jack sequel
#and i still need to write like half of it at least#this fic is truly the when you give a mouse a cookie thing of all time because originally i wanted to write LITERALLY one thing#(the doctor doing a specific thing to jack sort of by accident)#but i needed to write additional backstory to make them fucked up enough to do that AND a situation to gET them to do that.#and then another situation to get them to THAT situation and THEN yet ANOTHER situation to get them to THAT situation#and then for the 'yet another situation' in order to make it more cohesive i had to actually TALK about the backstory which i was not going#to do as much originally. and THEN at that point it was like well okay i have to add [another character] to this in order to explain THAT s#THAT added another scene. and then i realized again for the 'yet another situation' i would need to add actually an entire adventure#and anyway now im here and its gonna be at minimum 15-20k words#has anyone noticed my estimations of final wordcount keep going up lol. bc i have.#ari opinion hour
