He's Becomes a Dad || Part 2/2
Part 1
Pairing: Twilight, Warrior, Sky, Wild x Reader
Overview: Congratulations, you're new parents 🎉 Some of the Links are prepared. Others...might need a moment to gather themselves. But rest assured! At the end of the day, they're all going to get a handle on this whole dad thing. Warning: Mentions of miscarriages for Sky's section. Nothing to detailed, but it's there so beware 🙅‍♀️
Zelda Masterlist 🤎Fandom Masterlist
Tumblr media
It's never been a surprise to you that Twilight would want kids of his own. He never even had to say it aloud, you could just read that look in his eyes whenever playing with the village children. It was a wordless yet ever so contagious request: I want this. And how were you to deny him? Just look at him!
Simply put, children were a top priority of yours almost as soon as you married. It didn't take long for you to become pregnant either (not with Twilight's fierce passion and your shared disinterest towards 'waiting'). Regardless, there were still many tears shed when you found out - all happy, of course, as your husband spun you around in his arms while you both laughed giddily in between quick kisses.
Let's get this straight: Twilight is prepared-prepared. Ordon is that type of close-knit community where everyone helps raise each other's kids, so despite this being his first rodeo as a new dad himself, he has plenty of experience taking care of youngsters. As a ranch-hand, he's also perfectly accustomed to the whole birthing process, having hand-delivered more baby goats than he can count, so don’t worry, nothing about the ‘less glamorous’ sides of pregnancy scare him.
With that being said, Twilight doesn't stress too much aside from the normal concerns about your health, after all he recognizes that not every pregnancy is the same for every woman, but that's exactly why he makes it his personal mission to ensure your comfort.
Feeling particularly ill? He'll make you all the tasty pumpkin soup you could ask for which, believe it or not, works wonders for an upset stomach. Just having a bad day? He'll happily let you cuddle with Wolfie to help you relax. Restless? He'll take you on a horse ride no matter the hour and if you're too far along in your pregnancy to climb onto Epona, a simple walk to Ordon's spring will do since that's the perfect spot to soak your sore body. Twilight is no above carrying you there himself if you ask.
Trust that your every worry is always smoothed; Twilight is there to reassure you no matter how 'little' the problem. Have concerns he can't speak on as a man? He'll happily go ask one of the other village women for you if you're too embarrassed to do so yourself, in fact this guy's already been talking Rusl and Uli's ears off for advice since day one. He doesn't want to leave a single thing to chance regardless of how confident he already feels which is probably why there's a stack of parenting books on his nightstand. Did he clear the shelves in Castle Town? Probably.
You're pretty sure that Twilight already had a 'go-bag' put together before the end of your first trimester, although he’d add to it like a paranoid squirrel up until your due-date. Curious, you had gone through it one day just to get a hint of how overboard he might've gone. Diapers, snacks, blankets, comfortable clothes for you, more parenting books...He does realize you're doing a home birth, right? Most of this stuff he could just grab from the cabinet if needed, but it's sweet that he's trying to be organized.
It isn’t really news to anyone that Hyrule’s heroes tend to land on the quieter side and usually Twilight isn’t much different…There’s a key word in there because you’re quite certain he hasn’t actually shut up since the second you told him you’re pregnant. He can hardly keep his excitement to himself! Oh, but it’s adorable, especially on those nights when he’ll fall asleep mumbling about his joy all while using your swollen stomach as a pillow. It makes your heart swell every time.
When you eventually go into labor, Twilight doesn’t show much outward panic if he has any at all, however he does feel incredibly terrible to watch you go through it without any relief. He feels absolutely useless while unable to take away your suffering the way a good husband should, so to make up for it, he does his utmost best to be your rock during those long hours, talking you through each painful contraction and doing everything in his power to distract you. Back rubs, walks around the house, whispers of sweet nothings…He’s by your side well into the night, keeping it up until it finally comes time to start pushing.
He definitely was not going to say it while you were going through the motions because he’d like to keep his head, but human and goat births are pretty much the same thing minus the actual cursing. He’s in his element then, knowing exactly what to do to ensure a safe delivery for mama and baby. His movements are almost automatic, trained by years of practice as he cleans the little one off before taking the time to admire them fully.
Are you shocked that Twilight is teary eyed? Not at all. Are you upset that he almost forgets about you entirely for a second because he’s so entranced by the baby? Also no, since you need a moment to catch your breath anyway. Don’t worry, though, he does eventually pass you your son reluctantly before hovering at your side with possibly the widest grin you’ve ever seen on the man since your wedding day.
The rest of the night is calm from there on, filled with quiet whispers and cooing as you both take turns partaking in skin-to-skin contact with your baby. Will you be doing this again soon? You’re probably going to need a decent break to recover, but just know that your husband is absolutely ready whenever you are. In the meantime, expect to be showered in endless love and affection because you deserve it for the priceless gift you’ve given him.
Tumblr media
Your relationship with Warrior has always been ‘slow moving’ if compared to most other couples’. For starters, while he may have a formidable reputation for being a supposed lady's man, all that 'skill' of his would go flying out the window whenever faced with your presence, so it took some time (and maybe a near-death experience) for any confessions to be made. In his defense, you're a very beautiful and strong woman who happened to be one of his superiors during most of the war, so please excuse him for usually being awed into silence whenever you showed even an ounce of interest in ‘lil ol’ him. His brain would literally become a windows error.
Even after Warrior did finally find the courage to ask you out, your respected jobs and heavy workloads have often forced your relationship to be put on the back-burner. Marry you? Hylia knows he’s been DYING to! You’re already wearing the ring and everything, but it's not like you're going anywhere anytime soon and he'd rather wait a few extra years to enjoy the perfect moment rather than rush the whole ‘happiest-day-of-our-lives’ thing during a bad time.
Luckily for him, you've never needed a formal certificate to know you own his heart. He proves it to you in other ways every day from cheesy love letters to overly romantic dates during your rare off time, and while you normally adore being the sole subject of his affection, that's exactly how you ended up in this very situation.
You're both adults and as such you won't pretend to be innocent: This wasn't planned in the slightest. Your jobs can be quite chaotic, as previously addressed, so you just wanted to help your husband-to-be relax and destress a bit - nothing new for either of you in itself, although that particular evening would end up weighing heavily on your mind a few weeks later.
To be honest, when you first entered Warrior's office and instructed him to sit down with a stern voice that could rival Commander Impa's, he thought you must've finally grown tired of being engaged for several years, having come to him then to demand that he marry you sooner. Agreement was right on the tip of his tongue when you delivered the bombshell that you were pregnant instead.
Your tone was serious and expression calm, but Warrior knows you well enough to spot the hidden worry in your eyes. It’s justified, of course. Had either of you even discussed having kids before? He doesn’t think so. It’s not like having a baby is a bad thing, though. The idea of creating a small family with you is a pleasant one, it’s just…happening a lot sooner than preferred. You both would’ve liked more time to plan and prepare…but oh well. What’s done is done.
The real concern is will your jobs allow you both time off to take care of a baby? It's not like a war is currently going on, so Hyrule won't suffer too much from having two of its best captains sidelined, however what happens if that doesn't remain the case? What if war breaks out tomorrow or the day after? Warrior can’t let his pregnant fiancée fight in battles! What kind of husband and father would that make him?! But at the same time, is he just supposed to ask that you sacrifice your career in order to spare his? THAT’S NO BETTER!
...All things considered, you'd say Warrior handles the news far better than some might've. Yes, he begins to ‘slightly’ overthink things, although that's exactly why you had him sit down first. Calmly, you take his hand and tell him how things will be (your own way of offering comfort not only to him, but yourself as well). The bottom line is that if you could successfully fight Ganondorf’s army together, you can raise a child together, too. Really, how much harder can it be? You already have some minor experience being unofficial parents to little Time and Wind during the war. Just don't give your own children any magic masks or wind controlling devices and you should be golden.
Thankfully, many of Warrior’s initial fears are proven to be irrational during the earliest stages of your pregnancy. Everyone else was positively thrilled to hear the news and even Impa gave her congratulations, explaining to your fiancé’s relief that she’ll simply assign you more deskwork until it’s fit for you to return back to your normal duties. All he has to worry about in the meantime is making sure you actually take it easy; only a slightly difficult task considering your headstrong nature and insistence on not being ‘coddled’, but hey, if anyone can handle it, it’s the guy who’s hellbent on marrying your stubborn butt one day.
Warrior will admit that there were still some nights when he would nearly pull his hair out while doubting if he’s actually ready to be a dad, however the moment you officially being showing is the same moment he forgets all about any possible regrets and replaces them entirely with daydreams filled with not only his lovely wife, but also a little one who will hopefully think the absolute world of him. He already knows he’ll think of it of them.
Although you may feel a bit nervous towards the prospect of suddenly being parents, that doesn’t change the fact that you wouldn’t choose anyone else to go through this journey with. One look to your side and you’re certain of it. The way Warrior holds his son for the first time, newborn wrapped comfortably in his scarf and dad, eyes half-lidded with exhaustion after hours of labor yet the proud smile evident on his face nevertheless…You were right before: so long as you do it together, you’ll excel in this whole ‘parenting-thing’.
Tumblr media
You had married young - almost as soon as you were able after graduating from the Knight Academy. To everyone else on Skyloft, you have always been the picture image of an ideal couple; the hero and his beloved princess who somehow manage to be completely and utterly smitten with each other even years later. To call Sky your husband is a blessing in itself and you consider yourself lucky every single day. There’s only ever been one problem with your relationship - one single complaint you can think of where neither of you are truly responsible: your lack of children.
When you first married, there was lots of talk, after all everyone was simply dying to know when the first generation on the Surface would be born. Your parents were eager for grandchildren and Zelda, your best friend, had way too much fun teasing you over the matter by expressing her 'surprise' that Sky had yet to give you a baby despite how 'passionate' he’s always been towards you (she would make sure to use those exact words, too).
Initially, you never minded anyone’s curiosity. It’s only natural to expect children from a newly wed couple. It's when that same couple reaches their third then sixth year of marriage without any trace of tiny feet or squealing laughter that those curious and well-meant questions grow quiet with unbearable pity, your shared excitement becoming shuttered sorrow.
At the start there was nothing to worry about. You were both young and not putting that much effort into it, so certain it wouldn't take long for your family to grow. Then the years began to pass and you would try everything the doctor recommended, but every test would still leave you as disappointed as the last. The absolutely worst form of despair came those few times you'd actually get your hopes up only to have them cruelly dashed a few months in.
What were you doing wrong? Sky would always hush your anxieties and do his utmost best to reassure you, however you knew by his own tears that your infertility hurt him just as much, especially when on those quieter nights, you'd suggest that perhaps you simply weren't meant to be parents - that the gods were just trying to tell you both something you were too stubborn to accept.
It's for that reason that you had such mixed emotions once finally able to fall pregnant again. You were optimistic deep down, however after six years of attempts and losses, you were wary to embrace too much joy right away which was shown in the way Sky held onto you for what felt like hours after you told him or how he slept each night with a hand on your stomach even in those early days, internally praying to the goddesses this would be the one.
A month passed...Then two...And three, and four…For once, you didn't feel sick aside from what was considered normal. Maybe a bit of high blood pressure the doctor kept a close eye on, but other than that he’d always tell Sky and you the same thing: they're healthy.
Even then, you’d say you remained extra cautious, not daring to eat nor do anything the doctor so much as hesitated against, however Sky was by far the worst when it came to worrying. As your husband, he considers your physical and mental well-being his personal responsibility, but as the father of your child? His work has doubled!
All chores were to be his alone so that you could rest. Any bout of sickness was closely monitored and tended to. His hand would remain on your stomach from beginning to end, although overtime it would be done less out of fear and more for the sake of bounding, often accompanied by his voice or the melody of his harp which he would happily play for you both whenever you were having a particularly difficult time falling asleep at night.
Now, you didn't dare tell anyone about your pregnancy during the first half, not wanting to deliver anymore bad news should it come, however once the remilit was out of the bag, you became the center of attention much to Sky's conflicted feelings. On one hand, you deserved it for all of your hard work growing a baby, but on the other, that overprotective dad-side of him couldn't help fretting over the vast number of harmful germs your guests could possibly be passing onto you and your unborn child. Did he make everyone wash their hands for ten minutes before visiting? Yes, yes he did.
Beyond being protective, Sky was also very emotional throughout the entire pregnancy maybe even more than you sometimes. He got teary-eyed after every doctor's appointment that confirmed the baby's development, while picking out names together, and even when you were yelling at him for something stupid because as far as he was concerned, you still looked so beautiful standing there with crossed arms and a round belly carrying his child. Oh, but none of that compared in the slightest to the tears that were shed when he actually held his daughter for the first time; that amount of waterworks could put the flood of Faron to shame!
Six years of waiting made you both lose hope. You assumed you’d never be able to have children of your own and even began to look towards other options such as adoption or simply living your lives childless forever…but the day your daughter was born was the day all your anxieties and doubts were finally put to rest. Now, as you cry happily with your husband, you can’t think of a single complaint towards your relationship; it’s officially as perfect as the precious little bundle in your arms.
Tumblr media
Wild and you were still practically newlyweds when you gave him the 'thrilling' news. You were so happy to do so, too, barely able to bite back your excitement while watching your husband lift a small pair of baby pajamas out of a gift box. You were absolutely glowing as you eagerly awaited his reaction and all he could do was simply stare into space as his whole world came crashing down on top of him. Did he look horrified on the outside? He must've, because he swears he could’ve pinpointed the exact moment that shine in your eyes died, a frown etching its way onto your lips. What else was he supposed to do aside from fake a smile and embrace you, keeping you close to his chest so that your delight wouldn't be spoiled by his internal nervous breakdown?
Wild has zero right to be shocked. You had both been intimate (as tends to happen when you're married) not to mention you had made it perfectly clear from the start of your relationship that you would want a family one day. Judging on your eagerness towards the topic, it was never up for debate either; no kids would be a dealbreaker for you, so Wild had no choice but to quietly agree, too afraid to dare utter the truth or voice any hesitation because Hylia forbid you get the wrong idea and leave him.
He thought it would be harmless. Some couples remain married for years before any children follow and you weren't in any big hurry, so he figured he'd have plenty of time to get his act together until the day of your dreams arrived; he didn't think it would happen during your first year of marriage! ...Now he's really dug himself into a hole it's too late to try escaping from…
He’s almost said something - a few times actually. He knows it’s only fair and that as your husband, he owes you proper communication, but each time he opens his mouth, his mind curses him with the image of your sadness. What if you think he doesn’t want this at all? What if you think he hates the baby and hates you for being pregnant? What if you concluded he must want to leave you so you decide to beat him to the punch?!
…Okay, so Wild knows you aren’t going to just walk away. You’ve always been good at listening to his inner demons and acting as his strongest pillar of support, but that doesn’t change his fear that you might be hurt by whatever he has to say and he will not allow himself to ruin your own excitement.
In the years that he’s known you, he can’t say he’s ever seen you quite as happy as when you found out about your baby. He knows he should match that joy, too. Most men do. Hell, Twilight practically sent a five-page essay bragging about his wife's first pregnancy. Truth be told, Wild actually does feel happy. On his better days, he feels that flicker of pride and a hint of eagerness because a family with you honestly sounds wonderful. The problem is, in his mind, it isn't a question as to what he wants, but rather what he deserves.
So much has gone wrong in his past. It doesn’t matter how much you or anyone else assures him otherwise, it’s hard to shake the feeling that he failed Hyrule. He still suffers from so many nightmares and waves of guilt that he can’t properly put into words. You’re still having to shake him out of dazes and smooth his following sobs…How is he going to be a good dad and be there for his child when he can barely stand upon his own two feet like this?
Initially, Wild thought these feelings would go away; that’s why he never spoke them to you. He wanted so desperately to believe they wouldn’t linger, especially after you both got married. He lives in a peaceful world, has a nice home in a quiet village, a beautiful wife who adores him…He should’ve been able to move on from the Calamity already, so why hasn’t he? On his worst nights, it makes him wonder if he’ll ever be okay or if he’s just screwed you and the baby over by tying you both down to him.
These two sides of him - the hopeful and the pitiful - continue to battle for dominance inside Wild’s head throughout each step. Sometimes he’s genuinely smiling with you as you pick out baby names. Other times he’s sitting outside alone trying his damn hardest to remember any piece of his past that might make him feel at least a little better about his luck towards being a dad, preferably a time when he was actually good with kids or even had a family before.
Wild’s internal dilemma comes to a head one fateful night when he’s awoken to the baby’s distressing cries. He had honestly already been awake after a mild case of anxiety, but you on the other hand are tired, worn from nine long months of pregnancy and the early days of active motherhood. The last thing he wants is for you to lose out on precious rest (a rare gift these days), so leaping out of bed, he’s quick to reach the baby’s crib.
Unfortunately, Wild’s natural instincts seem to basically stop right there at the crib’s side. Hands hovering above, he tries his best to calm his daughter through whispered assurances and attempts at cooing the same way he’s seen you do. When that doesn’t work, he awkwardly picks her up, cuddling her close to his chest while quietly pleading at this point. Is she hungry? Does she need a diaper change? Did she have a nightmare? Whatever it is, if you wake up, you’ll take over and he’ll be left to stand aside feeling like he can’t even do the basic task of comforting his own child and -
- To his astonishment, his efforts actually work. It really must’ve been as simple as a nightmare because slowly, the baby falls silent, seemingly forgetting all about her troubles as she finds solace gazing up at her daddy with the widest blue eyes and a stuck-out tongue that can’t seem to keep itself in her mouth. It looks rather goofy, so Wild can’t help but chuckle, although the sound is soft as his heart melts under the attention she holds towards him. If he didn’t know any better, he’d say it’s almost like she’s looking at her entire world…
Maybe some would say this moment isn’t necessarily anything special, but for Wild, it’s everything. As if suddenly a pro, he’s able to rock the little beauty gently back to sleep, his pleas turning into words of admiration as he tucks her into bed. There, he continues to keep watch over her until he feels tired himself, all the while thinking: he might be broken from years of trauma, and he might not be the best husband or parent out there because of it, but that's not going to stop him from doing everything in power to be there for his princesses.

Undead Unluck ch.197 thoughts
[Rider Kick!!!]
(Contents: speculation - Haruka, thematic analysis - life)
Tozuka, we need to talk about your sense for chapter titles. It's "ready, get set, go" not "get set, ready, go." Maybe it's different in Japan?
Anyway
HARUKA DEVELOPMENT!!!
Seeing that Haruka's soul is still her child self from her original backstory, I wonder if we'll be seeing a flashback of how her tragedy was averted. Given Isshin XII's statement that Haruka's heart hasn't matured, my supposition last week that Fuuko's soul resembling her appearance from when she just joined the Union symbolizes that she's the same person at heart seems to have been correct. The shape of a person's soul is a reflection of who they are; Andy is an old soul, Fuuko is a member of the Union, Lucy is a free spirit, and Haruka is a scared child. Cowardice has been a core trait of Haruka's the entire time, and while this arc seemed to suggest that she'd grown out of that between loops, this moment implies that just because she's braver doesn't mean that she isn't scared
Presumably the circumstances of her becoming Unbreakable contributed to her soul taking that shape, a moment in her past that she can't move on from. I doubt her father died the same way this time if at all, but even if it was just the shock of seeing her grandfather die of natural causes, I could see that rooting Haruka's heart in a particular time. It would also be interesting if Tozuka uses that plot point to elaborate on why Haruka got into cobbling, what inspired her to make that choice specifically, and how her relationship with Top developed after she saved his friends. I don't know if that's a story that Tozuka is interested in telling, but it's one I'm interested in reading, for sure!
The other major element of this chapter was Isshin XII's advice to Haruka. "Use the power of those who never merely live and die." Therein lies the thesis statement for this arc and possibly the entire series: "[humans] never merely live and die." We aren't alive just because blood pumps through our veins (Victor's original view) or because we have thoughts in our heads (Andy's original view); we're alive because we can form connections, because we can leave an impact on the world, because we can create
A beast lives on instinct. A beast kills and eats to survive and breed, and one day dies so that something else may feed and survive. As UMA Beast said, beasts do not desire coexistence. I would argue that they don't desire anything, their biology simply compels them to eat and procreate, even if they don't have what we would call an "understanding" of the purpose of their actions
A human, though, can eat to survive, but doesn't have to. Eating can be a purely utilitarian experience, just a way to fuel up the body for the next day, but people don't typically do that. People cook, they maximize the taste of the dish as well as the nutritional value if they even pay attention to it in the first place, and they partake of their meals communally. We do understand the purpose of eating, but that purpose is of secondary concern to anyone outside of a life-or-death scenario; instead, the priority is to enjoy our meals, whether it's through the company we keep, the flavor of the dish, or even simply the joy of creation
And that, I think, is where Unbreakable's true power comes from. Unbreakable isn't slapping two scraps of metal together and calling it a shield, it's an artform, a craft that one dedicates their life to, the culmination of skill and pride passed down for generations. It's not enough to simply know how it works; watching a knitting tutorial on youtube isn't enough to create a beautiful quilt, you have to understand the materials and the tools and the techniques intimately
There's no pride or craftsmanship in Beast simply growing Unbreakable armor. Does a tortoise build its own shell and take pride in it, or does it simply happen to grow around an otherwise oblivious reptile? As I've said a thousand times, Undead Unluck is a series about "the proof of a life lived," and the mastering of an art, the inheritance of a legacy, is just another in a long line of angles that Tozuka has chosen to tackle this theme from
Haruka's new Unbreakable, seemingly able to reconfigure her armor to match someone else, suggests that she has achieved that mastery and pride. Unbreakable is not about rigid conformity to one shape, it's about the ability to adapt to the scenario; "the reed which bends in the wind is stronger than the oak which breaks in a storm." Beast has no understanding or appreciation of the effort that forged Unbreakable itself, much less the armor it creates, and thus does not have the pride nor conviction to allow for it to be flexible or adaptable
Beast has Unbreakable, but he does not have the spirit to create. Beast devalues that which proves that one has lived, and that will ultimately be his undoing
Until next time, let's enjoy life!

4, 8, 9, 15!! plus a bonus 19 from me... my favorite scene of yours of all time is still probably tails telling vanilla that sonic did his best to take care of him but also understanding that sonic was only 11 (sobbing) ... but other ones that give me emotions are, silver finally telling sonic he dies young and rouge and vector talking abt sonics origins. u have so much good stuff its so hard to pick
4. Do you prefer writing multi-chapter or oneshot fanfictions?
hmmmmm for instant gratification i love doing one shots but multi chapters are SO FUN i love writing a big story with multiple moving parts. im just so bad at finishing them 😔
8. What kind of document do you use to you write? Microsoft Word? Google Docs? Straight in the AO3 text box?
for a very very very long time i would just write in my email as a draft until i finally moved to google docs. lol.
9. What’s your favorite line(s) or scene(s) that you have written?
“Enjoy it all while you can,” Metal Sonic says, revving up his jet. He has plans to make, to set into motion. He needs to get better, and fighting Sonic like this hasn’t been working. He has to change his behaviour.
Sonic watches him. “Enjoy what?”
Again, he considers not answering him. But perhaps, if Eggman ever succeeded, if Eggman succeeds in taking over in this timeline, if Sonic’s luck runs out… Metal Sonic wishes he had taken more time to appreciate the small things. Flesh bodies are weak. But it was still his body.
“Being able to bleed,” he answers, before jetting off into the distance.
(from where will you be, if you can't find you? ive been thinking about the metal sonic is sonic roboticised theory lately haha)
15. Are there words, phrases, mannerisms or scenes you tend to use a lot?
i tend to explain time travel in the same manner in all of my time traveling fics… i just think the allegory of time existing as a knitted blanket is the most easily digestible version and makes the most sense to me haha
i have characters tap their chin a lot or quirk their brow simply because I do that (haha i do that!)
also sometimes i read those “dos and donts of writing” tip posts and something i do a lot is have characters say other characters names in conversations (like, “What do you think, Sonic?” or “I don’t know, Amy, that sounds like a bad idea.” etc) but apparently that’s like, unnatural and people don’t do that in real life much? which is funny because i name drop people irl literally all the time idk why
also hopefully this doesn’t get noticed a whole bunch but I have a nasty habit of just dropping the subject of a sentence or putting it at the end. like yoda. so i have to go back and edit my fics a lot over that lmao because sonic characters don’t talk like that
19. uno reverse !!! loved that fic care and maintenance of, especially the beginning where even concussed Sonic’s first priority is to check on tails asap. they are so… SIBLING!!! so good so good
also i KNOW im going to love ur explaining impossible ideas to impossible people i know it i know it in my heart i just haven’t read it but i know i’ll love it

Chapter 2 The calm crew.
Ateez x reader
Ateez pirate au.
∴━━━✿━━━∴
I stood at the side of the ship looking out towards the endless sea, behind me Hongjoong was running around sailing the ship by himself. Turning around I watched him as he kept looking at his compass every few seconds.
"If you have a question just ask, there are no secrets on this ship, well in the crew more like, but speak your mind" Hongjoong said without even looking over at me.
"Why are you separated from your crew?, Where is your crew?, Where is your ship?, Why were you in England in the first place?" I asked now following him as we both rushed around the ship.
Hongjoong sighed stopping abruptly making me crash in to him, he spun quickly facing me.
"You ask to many questions, love" he said pointing a finger at me, turning back around to carry on what he was doing.
"You did say to ask, did you not?" I said staying where I was while I followed him with my eyes. Crossing my arms I taped my foot impatiently waiting for him to answer.
"My ship along with three of my crew members are ported in France, looking for something, the other four are in spain, we dropped them off first" he told me, as he walked back to the wheel, I looked down at my feet thinking.
"Why?" I looked over at the wheel seeing he wasn't there, searching he was sorting out one of the sails, looking down at me I could see a small smirk on his face.
Jumping down he landed right infront of me, he was searching in my eyes for something I could feel my heart beating faster, never before have I been this close to a male.
The moment I realised what I was thinking Hongjoong walked away from me, letting out a breath I did not know I was holding, I tried evening out my breaths, then watched him again.
"We are looking for something" he told me I nodded for him to continue but he didn't, instead he went back on to focus on the ship, sailing his main priority once again. Sighing I walked over to the side of the ship looking out to the horizon.
✥-----------------------†----------------------✥
After a few hours Hongjoong has shown me the basics of manding a ship, I'm not great but it's better then have us capsize or run into port.
"Why did they call you pirate king?" I asked after being in silence for awhile, Hongjoong looked over at me his face plank from emotion.
"Let's just say I'm notorious in these waters love" he told me a smirk spreading on his face. I nodded watching him as he walked to the wheel steering the ship, walking up the stairs standing next to him watching the water.
"How long until we get to France right?" I asked looking back at him, Hongjoong turned around to me, then looked up at the sky.
"About a couple hours until we port in France" he said, I nodded in understanding, the rest of the trip went in silence.
"So are you going to tell me why your crew are spread across France and Spain?" I asked Hongjoong he looked over at me sighing.
"Fine you'll find out eventually anyway, It's to do with that map of yours" he said pointing to where I was hiding the map.
"Utopia? Why go through so much trouble?" I ask my brows knitting together, Hongjoong laughed at me.
"My crew and I have been searching for Utopia for a few years now. We can not just sail there on a ship, it's difficult" He told me I nodded waiting for him to continue.
"We found out that you can't read the map, you need three objects then the island will be revealed" he said looking over at the ocean.
"What objects?" I asked he laughed again "You'll see soon" he said, as he walked off again as I was left on my own to think over what he said.
✥----------------------†-----------------------✥
We finally ported in France, Hongjoong tied the ship to the port as we started walking off.
"Hold up there, you!" We heard someone yell turning around we noticed a man running up to us with a book in hand.
"It's a shilling to tie up your ship to the dock." He told us panting from the short run he just did, "I also need to know your name." He explained looking between the both of us, I looked over at Hongjoong.
"What do you say to no shillings, but you can keep this marvellous ship and we forget the name?" Hongjoong said putting his hand on the guys shoulder.
The man looked at the ship then back to Hongjoong, then to me, I raised my eyebrows wondering if he would take the trade.
"Welcome to Concarneau, Mr. Smith." The man said smiling at us, Hongjoong bowed as he walked off me following behind him.
"But isn't he going to realise that the ship was stolen?" I asked looking over at Hongjoong as he was looking at all of the other ships at the dock.
"Yes but by the time he finds out we will hopefully be long gone by then" he said stopping as a giant East Indiamen ship, it generally measuring between 1100 and 1400 tons, it was a very big ship.
"Ah my precious treasure, Aurora" Hongjoong said smiling happily at the large ship.
"Precious treasure?" I asked looking over at him, turning around he smiled brightly at me, "Not all treasure is silver and gold love" he said walking up to the ship.
We walked on to the deck, looking around the ship was sparkling with cleanliness, a man on his hands and knees was scrubbing the deck.
"Who brings their muddy boots over my clean ship, I'll cut out your- oh Captain your here" the man said standing up his glear turned in to a soft smile as the two quickly hugged.
"And who is your friend?" The man asked looking over at me, Hongjoong walked the man towards me.
"This is Yn, Yn this is my quarter master Seonghwa" he told me I smiled politely at the tall man, who looked very intimidating.
"Pleasures to meet you" he said grabbing my hand and kissing my knuckle, I smiled shyly at the man.
"Right, now Where's Yunho? I'm starving" Hongjoong said walking around his ship.
"Oh he's at the market with Yeosang getting some food for tonight" Seonghwa explained going back to cleaning the floor.
"Do we have any food left on the ship?" Hongjoong asked Seonghwa, he looked up from the floor thinking, "I do believe that Jongho speared a few apples" he said, Hongjoong nodded walking off.
Walking down blow deck to the hold with Hongjoong he explained that Jongho the youngest out of the crew, likes to break apples in half and they end up getting rotten fast.
After finding some apples Hongjoong throws one to me, barely catching it, then I bit in to it. Hongjoong eat his own as the two of us walked back up, seeing two young men walking on to the ship arms full of food. One was very tall while the other short, but Hongjoong being the smallest.
"Seonghwa I got a great deal on- HEY Captain your here!" The tall man said the smaller one turned then started at me, the tall guy walked up to Hongjoong smiling brightly at him.
"Oh good day miss, I'm Yunho and he over there is Yeosang, you are?" He asked, I smiled at the very tall man infront of me, "Yn. would you like some help with that?" I asked looking at the food.
"That would be appreciated thank you" he smiled passing me some of the food as he lead the way to I'm guessing the kitchen. Yeosang following closely behind his arm also full with food.
He opened some double doors revealing a large table in the middle of the room, on one side of the wall was filled with bottles that looked like alcohol maybe. We placed the food on the table, Yunho thanked me for the help as I walked back up to the main deck seeing Hongjoong and Seonghwa talking.
"Yn I'll show you where you'll be sleeping" Hongjoong told me leading me to a door on the front main deck, opening the door revealing a huge room with about twenty hammocks.
"You don't mind sharing the room with Yunho, Yeosang and Seonghwa, I promise you that nothing will happen, they can be trusted" he told me, I thought about it for a momnet, the three seemed nice enough.
"Yes that's fine thank you" I told him smiling, Hongjoong nodded, "Could I look at that map?" He asked quickly I nodded passing him the map.
He walked to the captain's quarters, I followed him wondering what he was looking for on the map.
✥----------------------†-----------------------✥
Hongjoong explained that to get to Utopia we need to get a couple of special gemstones, one is here in fance, while another is in Spain, the last one in the middle of the ocean, but only one person knew where and they were in Tortuga.
"Tomorrow we'll look for the gemstone, the moment we have it we are heading out. Got it?" Hongjoon told the four of us, as we sat at the table eating dinner. Seonghwa, Yeosang and Yunho yelled "Aye Captain" then Hongjoong shooed us to the bunks.
"Are you excited about seeing Utopia?" Yunho asked me, I nodded trying to get in to the hammock, the three already in theirs. Yunho looked over smiling at me.
"Yn, welcome to the crew" he told me a sleepy smile on his face, I turned around looking over at him, smiling back I felt my cheeks warming at his sweet gesture.
"Get some sleep all of you, we've got a long day tomorrow" Seonghwa told us as we all went to sleep hopefully getting enough sleep for tomorrow.
✥----------------------†-----------------------✥
Back at the house Darren Mikaelson walked in to his house with the staff running around panicked, Darren stopped one of the maids asking what was happening.
"Oh sir it's horrible, lady Yn was arrested for going in to the book store but she is now gone, the guards think the pirate took her with him!" She told him talking fast still panicking.
"WHAT?!, where is Geonhak? I thought he was going to propose to my daughter today? How did this happen?" Darren asked starting to yell.
"Sir I am here, Yn said she needed a moment after I proposed to her, after that she never came back. I just found out that a pirate has taken her" Geonhak explained running up to him.
"We need to find her now" Darren said as he looked around making Geonhak follow him back to the ship. A guard came running up to Darren out of breath as he stopped the two.
"Sir the pirate that took your daughter, he goes by The Pirate King" the guard said, Darren and Geonhak looked at each other in shock and fear.
"The Pirate king? That's not good" Geonhak said as they both ran off to port wanting to leave immediately.
✥----------------------†-----------------------✥
I felt shacking on my shoulder, slowly opening my eyes I saw Yeosang looking down at me shacking me awake, A shy smile on his face as he stepped away.
"It's time for breakfast" Yeosang said as he turned around and walked out the doors. I sat up from the hammock and struggled to get out, walking down to the kitchen I saw that all four where sitting down.
"Good morning Yn how did you sleep?" Seonghwa asked as I sat down next to Yunho as he passed me a bowl of food, thanking him I looked over at Seonghwa, "well thank you, How are you all?" I asked as I started eating.
After we all finished breakfast Yunho quickly cleaned up the bowls with Seonghwa's help, both sitting back down as Hongjoong explained today's plan.
"The object of our attention is a Sapphire and I will be going with Seonghwa, hopefully we'll get it quick and will be on our way. You three stay here show Yn around" Hongjoong said as he stood up walking upstairs Seonghwa following closely behind.
✥----------------------†-----------------------✥
It had been a few minutes since Hongjoong and Seonghwa left the ship, I walked around on top of the deck feeling the warm sun on my skin, I looked up seeing Yeosang on the main mast pulling on some rope.
I climbed up getting to where he sat, Yeosang turned to me smiling, I asked if I could help which he nodded handing me some rop to tye up.
"How did you become a pirate? If you don't mind me asking" I asked looking over at him, Yeosang smiled over at me finishing up another rop.
"When I was a lad, my mother raised me by herself. After she died, I came here, looking for my father." He explained, Yeosang stopped looking out to the horizon. "Did you find him?" I asked also looking out at the ocean.
"Yes and no, I found out he died when his ship sunk, He was lost at sea. After that I found Hongjoong he was only thirteen I was twelve, his father was the pirate king of this ship after he died Hongjoong took charge when he turned fifteen" Yeosang explained.
After we finished he helped me down as he walked of telling me to go and help Yunho in the kitchen, I nodded walking down to the kitchen.
Opening the door I saw Yunho looking between two pots, his hand on his chin lost in thought, I walked up to him standing beside, He jumped not expecting me there.
"Oh Yn great I need help, Would you pick carrot soup or potato soup?" He asked looking down at me, I thought about it for a few seconds, "potato soup" I told him Yunho grinned at me as he picked up a sack of potatoes.
"Would you like some help?" I asked, as he put the potatoes down on the table, he nodded and handed me a knife as we both sat down and started peeling them.
"How did you become a pirate?" I assked after a few minutes of silence Yunho hummed thinking back, and looked down at me again.
"I was an orphan and I love the sea but we were always told to dream small, when I was thirteen a pirate ship stopped at the city, I was so excited I snuck aboard and found Hongjoong and Yeosang, Hongjoong asked his father if I could stay and he said yes. Since then I've been with this crew for years." He said I nodded smiling at his memory, the crew is like a family almost.
✥-----------------------†----------------------✥
The sky turns a deep twilight blue, with the fat white moon riding just above the horizon. It had now been a few hours since Hongjoong and Seonghwa left, I started to get worried about them but Yeosang reassured me that they would be fine but I could see the fear in both of their eyes.
The sound of running footsteps was heard as the three of us looked up seeing Hongjoong and Seonghwa running on to the ship, Hongjoong ran to the wheel as Seonghwa motioned us to set sail.
"Brace up for and aft, weigh anchor, hoist outer jib, haul out the spanker, brace round forward and set the courses." Hongjoong yelled as we got ready to set sail, as the wind pushed us forward I looked up watching Hongjoong wondering what happened.
In the dead of night we sailed in silence no one saying a word, until a large ship came out of the foggy night, hopefully the thick fog hid us from the larger ship.
"That Ship's a Monster! Look at the size of her!" Yunho said watching the ship the same as I. "Aye. And we'd not last long face to face with her. You hear that, Hongjoong? Keep your distance." Seonghwa said glearing at the captain.
"Stay in range of the target ship while avoiding detection. And we'll strike when fortune favors us." Hongjoong agreed as we slowly sailed away.
"Captain I have to ask, did you get the Sapphire?" Yeosang asked as he walked up the stairs, Hongjoong smiled letting go of the wheel, Seonghwa standing his his place.
"You mean this?" He asked taking out the gemstone from his coat pocket, the gemstone was large, we all surrounded it, it was truly beautiful, Hongjoong walked down to his cabin probably putting in somewhere safe.
✥----------------------†-----------------------✥
It had gotten late as everyone went to bed I stayed up not being able to sleep, I walked up to Seonghwa at the wheel.
"Can't sleep?" He asked as I leaned on the side looking out, I nodded as I turn around facing Seonghwa as he smiled softly at me.
"I love sailing at night it's when the ocean is the most peaceful, a beautiful night" he sighed breathing in the air, "It truly is" I said watching the starry sky.
"If you don't mind my asking, How did you become a pirate?" I asked I probably was annoying them with the questions but Hongjoong did say that there are no secrets on his ship.
"My father was the quartermaster of this ship, after he died Hongjoong wanted me to take over, this ship is all I know" he told me, I couldn't stop looking at Seonghwa seeing him like this, he is a beautiful man.
"Why don't you head off to bed it's getting late" he said I agreed saying goodnight as I made my way to the cabin, closing the door softly Yunho and Yeosang was still fast asleep.
✥----------------------†-----------------------✥
The next morning I woke up seeing that Yeosang was still asleep in the hammock but Yunho gone, probably making breakfast. I got out of the hammock making my way to the kitchen in hoping to help him again.
"Good morning Yn how are you?" Yunho asked as I entered the kitchen, he passed me an apple as I sat down munching on it as he sat infront of me.
"I'm good and you?" I asked as I finished up the apple and throwing the core away, "Excited, I can not wait till we get to spain and have all of us together" Yunho said, I laughed he looked like an excited puppy.
"Alright let's get breakfast ready for the boys we have a way still to go" Yunho said as we started making the breakfast.
✥------------------------†---------------------✥
A few more hours and we finally made it to spain, Puerto Rico was very busy as Hongjoong got to the wheel and Seonghwa help port.
"Haul down the jib!, hauld up the spanker, hard aport, let go anchor!" Hongjoong yelled as we rushed around ready to port.
"Where are they captain?" Yunho asked as he stood up on deck having a quick look not seeing anyone. "They told us they would be in the main tavern, not surprisingly" Seonghwa sighed as he rubbed his head.
I went to follow them but Hongjoong stopped me, he lead me to his cabin, taking a seat at his desk he opened up a draw placing a piece of paper on the desk.
"This is the map keep it with you, I want you to stay here while we find the guys, Yeosang will be staying with the ship also" Hongjoong said passing me the map.
He walked out and towards Yeosang probably telling him the same as me, Yeosang looked over at me and smiled, turning back to Hongjoong with a serious expression on his face then nodded.
"I guess we're on ship watch for now" Yeosang said as he walked up to me, grabbing my arm he pulled me to Hongjoong's cabin and walked to the desk.
"Hongjoong said you can read is that true?" He asked me, I nodded sitting down on ine of the chairs as he sat opposite. Placing a book on the desk he pointed at a word.
"I've researched everything about Utopia, but I still don't get this, Darren Mikaelson recorded his findings a few years ago, he was close but still didn't find it. We think and now know because of the gemstones, but this is your father is he not?" Yeosang asked looking up at me, I sat shocked not knowing what to say.
"I didn't even know he wrote findings down, my father never really spoke about his job, or to me after my mother's death" I said look down, Yeosang grabbed my arm rubbing it a soft smile on his face.
"I'm curious though, What made you want to follow Hongjoong to Utopia?" Yeosang asked, I looked down embarrassed as I brushed my hair out of my face.
"Well the other day I was proposed to by someone I knew my whole life, and I didn't want to marry him so I left to the bookstore and that's when all hell broke loose, I was arrested for being a witch because I can read and Hongjoong offer sounded a lot better" I explained, Yeosang eyes widened.
"You were going to get married?" He asked I nodded my head looking behind him at the large window that looked out to the ocean.
"I'd rather have adventure on the ocean blue than to be stuck in a house full of kids and looking after a husband I never will love" I sighed leaning on my hand.
"Makes sense" Yeosang said as he thought about it, he then looked back at me smiling, "Well your free here, your a lovely person to be around I'm sure everyone would want you to stay as long as you want" he said smiling, I grinned back.
"YEOSANG WE'RE HERE!" a loud voice yelled Yeosang slapped his hand to his face then sighed as he smiled sheepishly at me. "Once again the peace on this ship is disturbed by that loud mouth" he said as he got up and walking over to the door.
"Wooyoung could you be any louder, I don't think china heard" Yeosang said, I raised my hand to my mouth giggling at what he said, not expecting him to say something like that. Well I guess it's time to meet the rest of the crew.
