What do you think about the interpretation of CF as a hidden villain route where Fódlan is doomed to tyranny by the end and all the pro-Adrestia characters unknowingly become more corrupt through the course of the story?
...
I thought it was clear lol
A fwend made posts about each character following a negative arc through Tru Piss and it totally works within the game(s)'s frame, hell, dare I say it was the intended meaning for Tru Piss, even if Hresvelg Grey blurred everything?
Take the BESF, Caspar and Ferdie, the most "justice" aligned characters, don't have their paralogues available in Tru Piss!
(Ferdie's more interesting, because it's all about him seeing beyond what people say about his dad, and finding out maybe too late that the dude wasn't evil incarnate as some people convinced him he was...)
Caspar wants to Leeroy Jenkins against Emile who's know, to him, as someone who captured (and killed) young women, caught his classmate to exsanguinate her and nearly killed one of his teachers - but in Tru Piss, this is completely ignored.
Petra... in Tru Piss, kills her own people who tried to enlist the help of the Church to free themselves from the Adrestian occupation... In the non Tru-Piss routes, she forgets Brigid and her role as a Princess, only to become the "will of the Emperor"...
And Linhardt still retains a small semblant of morality, not taking Supreme Leader along with him to see the giant turtle who gives weapons to the people that pass a test to reward said weapons for their abilities (hm?) because even if Indech practices Murhitocracy 101, Indech is a lizard and lizards BaD.
Of course it's not as "in your face" as Supreme Leader doodling M!Billy, but imo it's pretty obvious what the BE peeps end up as if they stay with Supreme Leader - and not only them, but the other characters too!
Like... Felix is the most obvious one (he doesn't become the shield he always wanted, but his tsun-moody teenager dream becomes true, and he ends up being a miserable sword!), but Ignatz is kind of sad too, just like Leonie or Manu herself - and remember how Hanneman wanted to study crusts to make sure no one will die a pointless death like his sister? Now, in Tru Piss, he is the one who informs you about Baldo'n'Waldi the "War assets"...
Just like Nopes, Tru Piss is a route/verse where Billy's fall from Nirvana and refusal to "guide humanity" actually... dooms everyone.
Only Hilda is exempt from this fall from grace - for some reason (being a creator's pet?) - as she has her most heroic moment of all 7 routes in Tru Piss, holding the line and risking her life to protect Claude, who mourns her death.
