Please remember that kpop idols are humans and they go through tribulations. They’re not just machines, every mean word you say about them they hear it one way or another. Treat them with kindness.

Edited: Also, we also don't know what health tribulations they are going through (not just mental health). Just treat everyone with kindness and try to help people who are affected by this. Big or small, just try to help them out the best you can. Moonbin no matter what showed off kindness and held Arohas close to his heart. He loved Astro so much and always showed off his love to his members and to the fans. I'm still processing this whole thing and I sound like I'm rambling but I just need to get my feelings out because I'm having a hard time with this. I can't imagine what Moonbin's family and friends are going through. I kept watching Moon Sua with Moonbin and just how much she looked up to him and the love they shared between each other. The reason she became an idol was because of her older brother. I'm sending prayers and healing in this time to everyone affected and especially to his family and friends. Please just send love to each other

It's a really sad day for all of us Kpop fans. We lost another kind and talented soul today. Astro Moonbin passed away at just the age of 25. I’m not an Aroha, but I’m moved to tears while writing this.. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Moonbin’s family and friends right now. My heart is truly breaking. Sua, Sanha, Jinjin, MJ, Rocky, Eunwoo, Seungkwan, SinB, Chanwoo, his family, we’re all thinking of you. I hope people will give them privacy in order to grieve on the loss of such a beautiful and smiling soul.

Kpop idols are humans. They have emotions just like us. Please be kind to them. Please don't post hate under the name of personal opinion, you don't know what they are going through behind their smiles. It doesn't harm you in being a little bit kinder. Please be kinder and respect them and their privacy.

I don't know what situations he had to go through until it finally came on this point. Even today, i just saw one of his videos where he was smiling with such a beautiful smile.

My condolences to his family members, his friends and to Aroha's. I can't even imagine the pain they are going through. I'm not an Aroha, but he and his songs really did comfort me. I was shocked when I read in Google that he passed away. And I'm still in shock that we lost such a gem.

You are allowed to mourn and grieve anyone that has had a positive affect on your life. 

Five years ago, my sister woke me up with the news of Jonghyun’s passing. It was a rollercoaster of emotions being heartbroken for someone I had never met, will never meet. I never went in depth about how I felt with my family, except my sister, because it was hard to describe mourning a celebrity. 

It took almost four months to realize that just because I didn’t know him personally, doesn’t  mean that I don’t have the right to feel sad- no heartbroken- about his passing. SHINee has had an immense affect on my Kpop journey and brought, still bring, me so much happiness.

So mourn Moonbin. I know I will. I found Astro in 2018, my first comeback with them was Always You. All Night was my favorite song of 2019 and is one of my favorite Kpop songs ever. They’ve brought me so much laughter at a time I was going through a lot and honestly, just made me happy with their content and their music. I’m distraught about Moonbin’s passing and I’m going to let myself feel what I need to get through this. A Pinterest quote I saw after Jonghyun’s passing was “some things you don’t get over, you just get through them.” I’m not over Jonghyun’s death but I got through it. I won’t get over Moonbin’s death but I’ll get through it. Your feelings, whether you’re an Aroha from the start, an Aroha from the middle, or a baby Aroha, are valid. Don’t anyone tell you different just because they don’t understand what you’re going through. 

Check in on your friends but also check in on yourself. It’s almost not said enough but check in on yourself during this hard time. If you need to talk to someone, reach out to a person you trust. If you need to distract yourself, do it safely. If you’re spiraling and think you need help, seek it. 

My inbox is open. Granted I’m not a license therapist or medical professional but if having a listening ear, even if it’s a stranger on the internet, can help someone’s heart feel a little lighter, I would love to be that.

I don't know if you guys heard the recent news about moonbin from astro but I am completely devastated, as an aroha since 2017 this feels like a part of me was stolen. I've been crying since I came to know what happened. And honestly I'm lost, I don't know what to do, it feels unreal. It's not the first time I had to go through this, but it never gets easier. How could it when Moonbin was so special? He was such a bright soul and seemed to love his job with every magnificent performance he delivered to all of us. He was hardworking and brilliant.

I can't even imagine how his family, members and close friends must be feeling. I just hope they take time to rest their minds.

Anyways I just wanted to let out a bit of my feelings, because this is my safe space and I trust all of you with my heart, if anyone is willing to talk here I am.

hi, it's been quite some time since i've last been on this account but i'd like to say some things regarding the recent news

moon bin was such a kind soul and an incredible talent and his passing is something that will be so hard to come to terms with.

arohas have lost an idol, an inspiration

the boys lost a band mate, a friend

his family lost a son, a brother

my thoughts and love go out to the moon family and the rest of astro, i could never imagine the grief they are dealing with.

and my thoughts and love go out to arohas everywhere as well. i may not be as invested in astro as i once was, but this is still a blow to my heart. please take care of yourselves during this time, it's what bin would have wanted for us.

it hurts to know that he was struggling and hurting to the point that this became an option, and it also hurts that this is not something new to the kpop industry.

i hope for the future, agencies begin to place less pressure on their idols and put more mental health resources in place.

once again, my condolences go out to anyone impacted, his family, friends, astro, arohas. we lost someone very special today, and he will be missed forever.

I simply can't fully grasp the idea of Moonbin not being of this world anymore. I am devastated. Astro was among my favourite groups and it was so sudden, I have no words. I wish his friends and family all the best in this difficult time. I hope they are doing okay and that they know so many people are with them.

As for Moonbin himself, I hope he is doing well wherever where he is and I'll now be listening to his music with so much care.

And to my fellow Arohas, I'm so sorry we have to go through this. We can only honour Moonbin's career and life.

i’ve never been in the kpop side of tumblr, and definitely not the aroha side. but my god, i’m sending all of you so much love. i’ve been into astro since 2017, they were the first group i got into. the news about moonbin has absolutely broke my heart. take your time, check on your friends and most importantly, respect his friends and family
