How does Lime excuse himself of the fact that he sleeps over with Mochi when he kind of denies that he likes her? lol

fhkfhjdsjj it starts off by accident/unintentional, right after the witch reveal thing. since before they just kinda lay around on her bed anyway. 

it started off (most likely) mochis just there, low magic candle lighting talking softly 12:23pm while lime is just lying next to her listening to her voice as she explains some of her spells to him (he asked bc he was curious, but didn’t realize how fucking tired he was)

after a bit, he puts his arm under her head/pillow because it’s cramping (her bed isn’t that big) and rests his cheek on her head because he’s lazy and tired

she doesn't realize till about half an hour after the fact that he actually fell asleep. she. finally asks like a question or tries to tell him something, and when he doesnt respond she finally looks up and sees him sleeping. 

so she just smiles and tries to sit up/move away, but his stupid ass is half asleep and comfortable and warm, so he pulls her closer to him.

now she’s blushing. she knows hes still sleeping, so she tries to move again and move his arm off her, but HE half-consciously thinks she’s moving closer and just tightens his grip. from here she just. cant get out. and she cant wake him up either. 

so they just end up sleeping like that. he kind of teases her and apologizes in the morning, but hes thinking like hey i kinda liked that.

so he does that THING you know where you just keep telling urself something and it keeps you convinced of that thing. 

so lime is always telling himself yeah i don't like her like that. yeah shes cute but i mean. i don't LIKE-like her. she wouldn't like me anyway so I don't care. 

so this keeps happening. he looks for excuses for it to happen. like when there's thunder/rain/windstorms and she doesn’t like it, he comes over and crawls into her bed w/ the bullshit ‘HEY don’t be scared im right here’ kind of thing. and she doesn’t care because she doesn’t like being alone on those nights anyway

also it gets kinda cold at night where they live (especially during winter) so he climbs through her window for warmth because his room and bed are damn cold

he doesn’t tell her or anyone but he also likes it because obv. shes there. and he gets to wrap her in blankets and rest his head on hers and wrap his arm around her and its warm and nice and she feels nice

(and they usually stay up for a bit and talk. like about school stuff and drama and nothing and everything. he likes this part too bc it’s just. both of them wrapped in warm blankets and comforters talking softly with the low lighting from the street coming in her window)

they also have those moments where mochi is like looking at something on her phone, and lime is half asleep and tired pulling her close to him mumbling “go to sleep mochi” and pushing her phone out of her hand

he DECIDED in his head that IF mochi would ever ask like “Why do you always climb in my bed/cuddle me/why do you always do this?” kind of question that his answer would be something like “Because you’re warm and your bed is comfier than mine”

after a while his stupid ass accidentally conditioned himself into sleeping best when shes there. after a while when he stays in his own bed alone he sits there for hours telling himself just fuckinng close your eyes asshole youll fall asleep eventually and only ends up getting about 3-4 hours of sleep. he misses the feeling of her warmth in his arms. dumbass. 

his stupid ass also, when mochi finally offered to do a spell for him. he asked for “Can you make it so my limbs can never fall asleep?” which she thinks is. the weirdest request but okay, i guess no one like needles in their feet so she does it. she only finds out later that he asked for that so he could just wrap his arms around her and sleep like that w/o his arm hurting. shes fucking flustered. 

(i think ive said this before somewhere but he knows himself. hes 100% certain that if he would ever get a crush on mochi (or anyone) he would be 100000% awkward around them. bunch of awkward laughing and silences and fidgeting and nervousness. but right now he behaves pretty normal and cool around her so he doesnt think about hey maybe i like this stupid girl. he knows he doesnt like anyone else. and he also knows that shes special to him but he do.esnt put the crush label on it. yet.)

also its kinda my excuse to make them both dumbasses and have cute moments before they hook up because i love it
