What do you do on Tumblr?

I write fanfiction, make OC's, draw/write comics, and make AU's for various pieces of media I enjoy. I also love to find others who make similar content, especially AU's, since others' ideas can be so cool at times.

Tumblr happens to be my catch-all for sharing new ideas, making jokes, and meeting others who share my interests.

What do you enjoy outside of the internet?

When I'm not online, I like to keep a busy life still! Usually I'm drawing-traditionally or digitally-, reading, cooking, or thinking up new ideas for my art, AU's, or other projects! Sometimes, I hang out with my friends, though we mostly keep in contact through the internet.

Obviously, I also like to game. Excluding my video games, I play Magic: The Gathering and Dungeons & Dragons the most. Including them, however, I mostly play Rain World and Pokemon. The kinds of games I tend to like are ones with heavy lore, but from an actual gaming standpoint I tend to play 2D and 3D platformers, deckbuilders, and turn based RPG's.

What do you want to do in life?

My hope is to become an ecologist, since I've loved animals for my whole life and have been branching that out to loving anything nature related. Biology often finds a way to creep itself into my fictional works, and I tend to look at things through a very scientific eye.

The Story of the Iterators

Within a local group of iterators, there are stories to tell and lives that unfold, hidden just beneath a layer of dust settled on old memories. Taking a glimpse into their lives, these purposed machines of flesh and iron to solve one goal, may reveal why they turned out the way they did.

Shared Sparks (A @firecracker-pup fancomic)

Blight was the lucky pup. The one who survived at the cost of her sister's life. Ever since, she tried to live up to what she thought her sister could have managed, but was stuck in her shadow. Timelines away, Firecracker had been left to the mercy of scavengers after stealing a pearl from them as a pup, only to end up adopted by them. A call inside of it, however, still wants to learn from slugcats the things it never got to.

When their paths cross, when timelines collide, both slugcats get a glimpse into a world they never knew existed, and find similarities buried in the vast differences of their lives.

Season of Blood

Scourge has won the Battle of Blood clan with the death of Firestar and all who oppose him. The Clans are united in the forest once more, but under the cruel rule of the small tom cat. He rules with an iron paw and has no sympathy for others. Every cat has been stripped of their warrior name and given a more fitting one, by Scourge's definition. Many have been killed for displeasing him, or for minor physical imperfections. Anyone with open ties to StarClan have also been killed.

Because of a Medicine's Cat's close ties to the spectral clan, only one remains. Racoon was only a Medicine Cat apprentice when Scourge took over, but now that she's grown, all duties of the job fall to her. Tending to a massive, bloodthirsty clan isn't a small task. It's demanding, exhausting, and the whole time, she has to hide every notion that StarClan still visits her in her dreams. A single meek kitten must find a way to grow up and face the challenges ahead, persist through times of hardship, and find it in herself to risk her life to save the forest-and all the cats in it.

Greenleaf is over. The Season of Blood has begun . . .

For my pinned and 4,000th post, I will introduce myself. My name is Elaine Huang, or Ribbonspice if you prefer. I love reading and writing fanfictions, listening to music and surfing the Internet. I'm also demiromantic and pansexual, and I have anxiety, depression, OCD, autism and ADHD. For starters, I must make it abundantly clear that I support Palestine. Zionists will be blocked on sight. Here are some useful links that you can check out if you want to support Palestine.

Now, I usually don't care what labels LGBTQIA+ people use as long as they aren't harmful. For example, neopronouns and xenogenders are fine in my book. However, there are some labels that are harmful, such as mspec and straight lesbians/gays, lesboys/turigirls and gaybians. I think this Carrd goes over all these labels very well. It also provides some alternative labels you can use, and there are some other Carrds at the end like it.

If you want to know how I feel about transid people, it's very simple. Terms like transabled and transracial are extremely offensive to disabled people and people of color. Transspecies and transage have been used by zoophiles and pedophiles to justify their attractions. Gender is mental, and therefore can be changed. This is not the case for age or race.

As for non-traumagenic systems, I'm going to keep this as short as possible, since I myself do not have DID. I am against endogenic systems and tulpas for many reasons. This Carrd debunks endogenic systems very well in my opinion. Regarding tulpas, here is a Google Doc in which Buddhist, Asian and Tibetan people have spoken out against tulpamancy, due to tulpas being a closed Buddhist practice.

In regards to proshippers…oh, boy. There are many reasons why proshippers are so harmful, but if I tried to address them all here, it would take too long. This Google Doc is perhaps the best source of information about why proshippers are bad.

I'm neutral on paraphilias unless they actively harm others. Paraphilias like pedophilia, zoophilia and necrophilia are examples of harmful paraphilias. People with these conditions should be seeking treatment.

What about transandrophobia and people who believe in it? I think this should be simple. The term transandrophobia was coined by a man with a fetish for correctively raping lesbians and many of the people who believe in it are transmisogynistic and lesbophobic. I think that should be enough of a reason as to why I don't support people who use it.

So I watched Black Panther on Monday.

First off, I loved it. Definitely in my Top Five of Marvel movies along with The First Avenger, Spiderman: Homecoming, and Guardians #2. The design, the soundtrack, the characters and their interactions. Even for a Marvel movie, it didn't always feel like a Marvel movie, and that was a Good Thing.

Quibble: The official isolationist stance of Wakanda is presented as so absolute that I had to go back and check the script of Civil War to make sense of why T’Chaka was at the UN to start with. It’s good the script didn’t require an encyclopedic memory of the rest of the MCU but it needed a bit more on an explanation here, IMO.

Gush: My god, a movie filled with women's voices, each one offering its own perspective. Shuri was every bit as delightful as the internet promised she would be. I was thrilled when the prospect of Nakia becoming the new Black Panther was dangled by Queen Ramonda. And none of them (or Okoye) had to die to give T'Challa his motivation! WOW!

Quibble: Did the romance between Okoye and W’Kabi feel tacked-on or did it feel tacked-on?

Gush: I think the Busan car chase was the only one I've actually liked in a Marvel flick so far and reminded me of how much I haven't liked some of the others, looking at you Winter Soldier.

Quibble: I think my biggest issue with the film in an Yeah, It's MCU Product sense was how little time passed and how the movie made sure to remind us of the compressed time frame. The UN debacle was a week before the opener. Hell breaks loose in Wakanda the day after T'Challa and friends return from Busan. FFS, let the characters breathe and grieve and contemplate! Let the people of Wakanda see and react to T'Challa's reign and then Killmonger's. This could've been a story building and breaking over months or a year, not like... two weeks? Spiderman: Homecoming had better pacing than this because it was tied to a school year.

Gush: I love how the recent Marvel flicks are allowing the support staff to rejoice in being "the guy in the chair"-- both Peter’s friend in Spiderman: Homecoming and Shuri are having so much fun with it. Though I am ambivalent about the way the MCU has so thoroughly embraced video-game-style drone warfare.

Quibble: I loved M’Baku's role up until yeah, he sends his army to the rescue after swearing he won't. Sure it was cool but for once can we have that kind of disinterested party remain intact to his word at least until the damn sequel?

Gush: Oakland, CA. East Bay represent. Oh man, that was perfect.

Quibble: The fight on the train tracks really did pale compared to the two duels at the waterfall.

Gush: Ego and Vulture were pretty good villains and Hela wasn't bad but hot damn Killmonger's easily the best antagonist this universe has produced. And my god he's such a delight to see and hear. So glad that Michael B. Jordan is Coogler's... muse?

Oh Fandom: So even with obvious red flags like brutally murdering his girlfriend for pragmatic reasons and using CIA tactics to "colonize" Wakanda himself, I'm already seeing Killmonger Did Nothing Wrong kinda stuff. Good lord, I can't imagine the reception had he NOT done those things.

Not a quibble: I have seen complaints about how advanced Wakanda still chooses rulers via duel. I think it was implicit in everyone's shocked reactions at Warrior Falls when M’Baku showed up that no one had challenged the royal line in a very, very long time.
