I’ve gained a whole new level of respect for the British ability to Not Panic this week, because if a third of the US government resigned in protest en masse, it would be chaos.

There would be rioting in the streets. People would be panic-buying everything. Businesses would close. Small towns would be full of people standing on street corners, waving signs and yelling at everyone that this is their last chance to get right with God because Jesus is on His way right now. News stations would be signing off with “Nearer My God to Thee” playing in the background.
