Not that we actually know anything about ana, but the one thing we do know is that she's willing to... back off if she feels someone is not receptive to her (when she tried to take a break for Christopher's sake, that friend comment in the suit store).
How likely do you think itll be that she tries to fight for her relationship? That she starts trying to get closer to Eddie and chris to try and make things work. (Because I think she sees there's something not quite right with them but might not want to voice anything for fear that it'll get Eddie to think about a break up. If she doesnt bring it up he wont bring it up... win/win no breakups! (but not very healthy for either of them)
Sorry I just rambled at your post about Eddie looking at ana when the doctor asked about stressors got me wondering what you thought!
(Also totally okay if you dont want to answer this publicly 馃槉)
You know? I really have no idea how much we can expect her to fight for their relationship.
Not to start analysing a character I really don't care about and generally dislike, but I'm wondering if we actually finally got a glimpse of what she gets out of this bone dry, awkward, ill-fitting relationship (because it's not intimacy and as many people have pointed out including, most recently that I saw, @evanbucxley, whenever there's been physical contact between them, she's initiated it).
Her sister's just had a baby, right? I don't know how old you are before a christening as I am not Catholic, but you're like...pretty little, right? And considering the length of time Eddie and Ana have been ...dating...? it would also roughly cover the length of her sister's gestation period and the intervening... google tells me 3-6 months, between birth and the christening. So I'm now wondering if like the majority of what Ana gets out of this relationship is the (hypothetical)ability to show up at her sister's baby's christening with an absolutely picture perfect life -- see, there's the gorgeous (also, for just a minute if I may, that suit? for fucks' sake man let us live) man who's a responsible firefighter and a war hero and he's also a Dad to the most perfect son, see, sis, I have this lovely, picture perfect family to show off, too! Like, especially if her sister is younger? If Ana has a younger sister who did the marriage-babies thing while Ana was working on her PhD and working with kids without having any of her own-- my best friend in high school had just the worst little sister and my friend was the first in her family to go to college and her entire family was like "But [sister] got married and has babies now, when are you going to get married and have babies??" just literally constantly for a decade.
that was sure a tangent I went off on, anyway! How hard do I think Ana is going to hypothetically fight for their...relationship? Like you pointed out, she was real quick on the draw to be like "we can take a break!" in 4x08 when Chris flipped out, but it's been some number of months since then, so maybe she's gonna hold on tighter now? I think we're definitely going to see a resolution by the end of the blackout arc, that's for sure. But I honestly don't know at this point if she's going to be like "yeah, okay, you're right, this isn't working and has never worked" or if she's going to be like "but we can make this work if we try harder! (*cue eddie having another panic attack*)"
I just don't know, but I'm sure we're going to find out in the next few weeks.
