Remember that one Ernest and Alfendi video i made like 2 months ago?? Yeah i completely forgot about it even though it's literally my wallpaper but i remembered now SO. Im bringing the duo pairing back baybee mainly starting by drawing Ernest in the LBMR artstyle and building their dynamic:

OK SO, just imagine: Ernest, in the detective agency, making tea and snacks, being the innocent little assistant he is, then BOOM. He steps one foot in the mystery room and now he feels the urge to scream at EVERYONE for a change. Al (potty prof) is there cheering him on. Bringing the fucking worst in him but it doesn't matter because this is a well needed break for Ernest. He just needs to SNAP. Don't tell me it's out of character cus dawg who's able to stay THAT calm and collected all the time i mean. Ernest already snapped in case 12 so who's to say he can't do it regularly at times 😔

Design; 9/10 - stub legs!! he's doing a little dance!!! He reminds me of lechonk from pokemon but that might just be me idk. One of my favorite character design tropes is "little guy hides under disguise"!! Also I love the hats scary face!

Purpose/Effectiveness; 8/10 okay i still dont know anything about dragonquest but i did a lot more research this time!! The wiki said that it was a monster with a low-level attack, making me think that it's probably one of the first you encounter in the game. Honestly this is really good low-level enemy design! It isnt that scary or imposing, but still enough to let the player know it is gonna attack you. Also wizard hat + using magic! We stan magic boars here!! From what the wiki also said it looks like it has other varients?? So as you go into more dangerous places you encounter more dangerous hatwitches?? That is actually really cool if it's true

Overall; 9/10 - this little piggy cursed your entire bloodline

So while I haven’t actually played the game myself, I really enjoyed the epilogue and the ending part of the skip ending. Idk, just wandering a vast desert, with the music in your ears as you walk unguided or stay sat by a fire under the moonlight. Good vibes. 100/100 would watch that scene again. (I also like the infinite hole but I don’t think that counts as an ending. I also like the one room with lights that the Narrator felt happy in. Not the jumping part to force a reset, let’s stay in the pretty room.)

Also ended up drawing how I imagine the Narrator to look (basically the player’s shadow but spooky.)
