i have a feeling i know exactly which fic you're talking about LMAOOOO. i hate that the fandom seemingly collectively just agreed to write Dani and Cass horribly and completely OOC. they do them both so dirty and it's hard to find decent fics where they're just themselves

(i know i make Dani a little coo coo at first, but she does get much better <3 she means well, she's just an overly excited bundle of nerves)

*it does start to happen less and less, but that really doesn't last long from what i can remember BAHA. Cass just likes annoying them, meanwhile Dani's love language is physical touch and she will make sure everyone knows it

Alcina: Depending on the level of affection she felt for them she'd either take the news very gracefully and allow them to return to their duties for the day, or she'd do her best to keep her stoic presence all while her heart was breaking and have them moved to a different part of the castle to work so she didn't have to see them daily. Either way, she would respect their wishes.

Bela: Reader wouldn't be able to tell either way how the eldest daughter was feeling about this - immediately throwing on a mask and responding to them so coldly that they'd wonder if their entire relationship had ever even happened. If her heart was truly broken by it, though, they'd be answering to Cass by the end of the day.

Cass: Would do her best to hold back her snort as she folded her arms and stood before them. A dark smirk across her lips and a single sentence that fell from them.. "Oh, morsel.. did you actually think you were more than just a toy to me?"

Dani: Utterly and totally heartbroken as she pleads with them to change their mind. She'd promise to do whatever it took to make things work, and leave little notes around the castle asking them to reconsider. If she couldn't convince Reader to take her back, she'd spend several days distraught and laying in bed until the next servant caught her eye.

Donna: The doll-maker would immediately go quiet, unsure of what to say and seeing no point in trying to change their mind. She'd silently cry herself to sleep as Angie cuddled up close to her, spewing one derogatory thing about Reader after another.

Sal: Being entirely too used to rejection, she'd immediately be crestfallen but would hold back any real emotion until Reader had left her hut. Tears will fall freely down her face as she makes herself some hot tea and puts on her favorite comfort movie (The Princess Bride). She'll curl up on her couch with a blanket and her favorite plushy, imagining a world where she has finally found her very own Westley (only gay).
