1. general, overall dislike for the majority of the euro gods 😔😔 she and her brother were tossed into space without so much a second thought by odin (and in her lore video ot was stated that him "and his ilk" didnt like them ((particularly their father's arrogance)) so i can extend that to the other gods. like. sol invictus would Not like having to share a name w some barbarian sun goddess from the north) so it really goes w/o saying that she'd be pissed at all of them still, and want to act like an annoying cat around them.

2. particularly w hera. goes into her house and melts all her fancy pots and vases cause tf is she gonna do? turn her into fruit (derogatory)? the only unique nature of being projected is that she can Kinda get away w being a dick lol. cant really punish her again bc shes already destined to die

3. its never explicitly stated in mythos if sol is a jotun or aesir or whatever but. given she was born from mundilfari im saying she and mani are jotuns. that being said, im taking the liberty to say that they have little to no reason to care about gender and sex like mortals do/would since they dont need an explicit partner to bare kids (like. mundi Didnt have a partner. he just suddenly got gregnant w sol and mani and the rest is history lol. and loki was briefly a mom. also ymir is actually intersex so why would they discriminate their old man. jotuns Hate the mortals and gods anyway so they can be a little valid as to why as a treat)

3.5 that being said, the same happened w sols kid, who i named sunna for convenience sake. by that i mean sol didnt get pregnant w her (ex)husband, glenr. it just kinda happened and she rolled w it. tho sol felt awful that essentially sunna was going to inherit a punishment given to her by mundi and co that, once she had her mental bearings in check, took sunna via projection and gave her to sols very obscure, very unknown sister, Sinthgunt (personal theory: goddess of the stars). while it was an easy decision bc she wasnt abt to let her only child be condemned to eternal isolation, it still kinda left her emotionally drained 😔 sometimes ur a mom for like 4 months and you dont really want to let go bc ur kid is the first person you have and can touch wo fear of burning them and ur terribly lonely

3.7 sol (and honestly mani too) doesnt hate mortals. minority of their people but they think theyre neat! if a bit stupid at times, but theres really not much to do aside from just watching them on a day-to-day basis. plus she and him technically count the hours and days for them so its nice to be a little appreciated by Someone.

4. she and glenr got a divorce. easier for ship purposes, as well as maybe making a little drama if need be. glenr can be a dick, as a treat.

5. sol is a little tsundere. shes not gonna tell u shes lonely. like past her Optimist Proxy™ shes a cranky, backhanded bitch whos desperate for someone to be genuinely nice to her lol. like neith might be nice but does she trust it? no, not when neith is older than her lol. it doesnt help sol blames the gods for her position in life 😔😔 basically anyone older than her is going to get the snark and bitchiness, and them being nice to her feels disingenuous. but yea she is. Very alone in every aspect and isnt abt to talk abt it w anyone because Ew.

5.1 but, along w the Lonely™, she also hasnt had a full nights sleep in like. Forever? she learned Very quickly that sleeping on an uncomfortable chariot being chased by loki's grandson is a recipe for disaster, esp if she wants to live. at most she gets a few minutes in periodically, but resting isnt real (which may or may not take part in her crank). but she'd also be a Heavy sleeper. once shes out shes Gone for the foreseeable future.

Long ass essay about how the Indian architecture of Valla probably isn’t pulled out of nowhere, and how it possibly hints at Fates being a reference to the Indian literature Mahabharata-specifically, about how Takumi is based on Arjuna and Corrin is based on Karna. ok so regarding Mahabharata stuff. Because Valla have India influence, and Arete and Mikoto are actually sisters that makes Hoshifam and Nohrfam cousins, and that Takumi is an asshole master archer third prince when Corrin is a cinnamon roll multi melee master is what makes me realize it.

Really, if you just say “It’s about two feuding families that are actually cousins, one family have 5 members when the others originally have lots and I mean lots of siblings, but it is focused to the middle son  of the 5  siblings that is an asshole master archer that is keep invoking rivalry with the cinnamon roll multi melee master that sides with the family with lots of kids who is actually his older brother” you couldn’t tell you’re talking about Fates or Mahabharata.

in the original Mahabharata, the Pandavas are 5 siblings when the Kauravas are 100 siblings. Their birth is complex, but let’s just say they are brothers but not actually cousins by blood to other family. And it’s not like each Fates character (except for Takumi that is clearly based from Arjuna and Corrin is from Karna) are clearly based on role, personality and power of a Mahabharata character.For example, in Mahabharata the eldest brother Yudhistira is the infamous for his benevolence, when the second brother Bhima is the one infamous for his raw power. However, Ryoma seems ot be the mix of Yudhistira and Bhima that he is both powerful in combat, loves fighting but is a wise and compassionate crown prince outside of battle. Or arguably, Yudhistira’s  benevolence goes to Sakura.

I also think that the sisters are just additions to avoid feminist screaming at INTsys because the only female in both Pandava and Kaurava is Dursilvati, the youngest of 100 Kaurava. Even though they still don’t get divine weapons. LOL. Not to mention, in the whole Mahabharata it looks as if only Arjuna, Bhima, Karna, Duryodhana and Dursasana matter , the others are only plot devices. Pffft. TBH the only ones who have divine weapons are the Pandava siblings, because all 6 (counting Karna) are fathered by gods and the divine weapons are gifts from their respective divine dads .

In inversion that Ryoma is the mix between Yudhistira and Bhima,  INTsys split the two aspects of Duryodhana to Leo and Xander. The original Duryodhana is a genius bruiser that is as large and powerful as Bhima AND is the most tactical among them, when Dursasana is a mere brute. It is explicitly mentioned that only Duryodhana that can go toe on toe with Bhima’s sheer raw power. Duryodhana’s role as eldest of Kaurava and raw power goes to Xander, or maybe even Camilla, when his tactical genius goes to Leo. Another wort h meaning aspect of Duryodhana is that he care more about skill than social status, the reason why he recruit Karna, a trait that is shared among all 4 Nohr siblings.

INTsys purposefully reversed some stuff from Mahabharata in Fates,like I previously say to fireemblemhax, because in the original Mahabharata, Arjuna is the protagonist and is the one loved by everyone (from cradle to grave! smh) when Karna is the rival and is the one trying is his ass hard to be acknowledged hard by his siblings, the Pandavas (and they treat him even worse because of envy and disgust, smh) If Takumi is as loved by everyone in-universe like Arjuna, I don’t think people out-universe would still like him.

This is probably because Arjuna is bow-locked, when Karna is a multi-melee master. Archers are the crappy class of Fates, you can’t have a protagonist locked to that weapon. Also you need a multi-melee Avatar nowadays, not a Lord that is locked to a specific type of weapon lol.  Not to mention, Karna is originally a Pandava but was raised  and sided with the Kauravas, like Corrin was technically a Hoshidan royal by birthright but can choose to side with Nohr by choice. Still, it leaves a question. Karna sided with Kaurava because the Pandavas treat him like shit. When in Fates, we see that Hoshido family loved Corrin too and have done much more sacrifice for him/her  than what Nohr have done (see here https://under-the-white-star.tumblr.com/post/155531144252/you-forgot-the-part-where-in-cq-that-ryoma-kind-of#notes When Karna have his reason to side with Kaurava, I see absolutely no reason for Corrin to side with Nohr, his/her presence isn’t that important to the internal conflict,  garon is still a tyrant, etc. Just no. Why would yo choose Nohr.

When originally Karna wants the Pandavas to accept him, Corrin got it without even trying. Even Takumi makes it clear on chapter 23 that he loved and has hope for you too. So why are you siding with Nohr? Really now OTL

Maybe now I’ll just list up the similarity between Arjuna and Takumi:

-is at a point the third prince (Arjuna is third prince when Karna did NOT chose Pandava, Takumi is third prince when Corrin is male and side with Hoshido)

-Almost unbeatable master archer

-Have a son that is equally talented, or maybe even more in archery (Arjuna have many sons while the only son that inherits his archery skill is Abhimanyu actually, but still similar anyway), and have been an effective killing machine since young.

- Is the biggest asshole among their siblings . hell, in a comment box  of Arjuna’s page from Fate Grand Order wikia  says this “if you’re not killing everything, you’re using your chuuni wrong” and yea, both Arjuna and Takumi are clearly chuunibyous lol.

-Is  pretty, very pretty to the point can give women a run for their money and IS popular because they are as pretty as women (in the original Mahabharata, the twins Nakula and Sahadeva are said to be the most HANDSOME ones but the PRETTY one is Arjuna , and boy he is more popular than them among women. It is said wherever Arjuna went women want to bear his child lol)

-Have a rivalry with a multi-melee master that is actually the sixth member to his sibling set, out of both pride and envy.

- Have a divine bow with wind element and is absolutely OP with that. (Gandeva actually is never stated as a wind bow. It has the same affinity with Indra, Arjuna’s father. Indra is not specifically the god of water or wind, Indra is the god of storm. So Arjuna’s Gandeva can shoot any kind of magical arrow as long it is related to storm, be it wind, water, or even ice arrow)

-Both names can mean “talent/skill” (have I mentioned that I respected INtsys to give hints and affinity to make Takumi clearly based on Arjuna despite of the culture difference of Japan and India? shit man XD)

-Is strongly tied with water, water dragon to be specific. Like I said before, Arjuna is the son of the storm god and banged a water dragon princess so water will protect him when Takumi is cursed with water because the water dragon god  Anankos love playing with him lol.

Top 10 wishlist of Arc V

Let me start by saying I LOVE Arc V and any of you who follow me or seen my blog can tell I love this show to bits and I’m perfectly content with how the series ended, how the story unraveled and such. But I would be lying if I said that they made the right decision on every plot event, duel, characterization, etc. So here’s my top 10 things I wished that happened in Arc V:

10: More development of the Xyz trio. 

These three did get the plot rolling and have been around (or mentioned in Ruri’s case) since early season one. Yes Shun did get a lot of development, and Ruri and Yuto shared a very touching scene in season three but I like I wanted more of them together. Like when Shun arrived in Synchro how about instead of him just randomly being at the underground ring he explores the city and has flashbacks of Yuto and Ruri during peaceful times (without showing Ruri’s face because ~face reveal~). Show me these kiddies happy and not traumatized so I would have felt worse about all the shit they went through.

9. Letting Rin have a Riding Duel or flashback of one

She’s the Synchro counterpart and she helped build her and Yugo’s D-Wheel so I really wanted her to ride it or even a random one. I know she was kidnapped and I highly doubt the Academia would have had one on hand but like in 145 when the show showed flashbacks of all the girls they could have shown Rin riding the D-Wheel instead of Yugo because it’s both of theirs he shouldn’t get to ride it 24/7

8. The Leo Duel School becoming relevant in later seasons 

Remember back at the end of season one or beginning of season when Reiji stated that with the attack of the Academia that the Leo Duel School would help train duelist to become Lancers and fight Leo? Yea what happened to that? Did they not make it in time or what?? Like it would have been so cool if Masumi and Yaiba and hell even Mieru showed in Xyz to help the resistance. Or Yoko being in Fusion and not letting Yusho out of her sight and nearly crying when she sees Yuzu. Like damn Reiji you got me hyped up with those lines.

7. MOAR BRACELET GIRL INTERACTIONS

I dunno, I understand why they couldn’t have met in canon, but at the same time they could have easily written something different. Like why did Ruri and Rin need to be kept to goddamn separate towers?? Leo could have just sucked them together hoping Ray would resonate between them or smh or Serena wandering around the island and being like what the hell are in those towers and whoop she finds a girl who has her face.

6. Legacy characters using other summoning methods

I aint’ gonna go much into it because I already made a post about it. But like I wanted it so much...

5. Speaking of legacy characters I would have loved more cameos

Let me get this straight, I said cameos, not full-fledged characters (Arc Vs cast is big enough...). But like at the end of the Synchro arc when Yeager appeared, that was awesome and took a whole thirty seconds!! Like is Xyz we could have saw Kotori, or III, or someone else marvel at Yuya’s and Dennis’ in 144. Also I made a post about it before but I would have loved it if we saw Arc V versions of Judai, Yusei, and Yuma watching Yuya’s final duel.

4. Sawatari wins a duel by himself

This is only so high up cause I have a biased towards his character lol. It’s sad that Sawatari was portrayed to be one of Yuya’s greatest rivals in season one and then.... nothing. I love Sawatari, I love how he wants people to enjoy his duels even if it means him losing, I love how enthusiastic he is about duels but like he could won one let my son be a winner.

3. Yusho being an anti-hero or something of the sorts

When a father disappears in anime, it’s usually never good, or implies that the father isn’t good. Many people, including myself, at the beginning of Arc V were speculating that Yusho wouldn’t be a ‘good guy.’ I mean yea Arc V subverts tropes and i guess this counts but it would have been so cool to see morally grey Yusho doing whatever if takes to stop Zarc’s resurrection but trying to harm his son or Yuzu. Anyways @pendulumprince has done several amazing posts about this concept that you should all check out.

2. Certain duels I would have liked to see

I would have made a sublist about possible duels that the show missed out on but @pendulum-sonata list is pretty much it. Like those duels, I wanted them.

1. More flashbacks of the original world

OKAY YOU ALL KNEW THIS WAS COMING. But like damn man, I want to know more about Zarc and Ray. What are their archetypes? Can Ray use all the summoning methods? DOES ZARC HAVE A FAMILY??? WAS LEO THE ONLY PERSON FROM THE ORIGINAL WORLD TO BE SENT TO THE DIMENSIONS OR NO?? DID OTHER PEOPLE WAKE UP ONE DAY AND BE LIKE OH SHIT WRONG LIFE WHERES THAT CREEPY ASS DRAGON THAT TRIED TO DESTROY THE WORLD. Like damn, I know Arc V tries not dwell on the past (when animation can afford less flashbacks) because of its theme BUT C’MON. Like maybe each time when Yuzu’s bracelet flashed and the respective Yuu boy she flashed away would get vision of the original world. I just wanna know more man I love world building.
