rahh three was hard to answer; i am forever a softee to treecko, since he was my first partner! it also led me to have some crazy theories when i learned about grovyle in game- i kept waiting for my partner to betray me! which is not at all relevant to my story shh

being a fan of both popular and unpopular Pokémon is so cool bc if you want to get merchandise of a popular Pokémon all the cool stuff is sold out immediately and scalped to all hell and if you like the unpopular one you missed the singular time the pokémon center stocked a plushie of them 5 years ago and you can get them for triple to ten times the price on eBay

Everyone always jokes about Pokemon's breeding mechanics and how they work in terms of pairings/couples. But I think there's one aspect about it that we don't talk about enough: FAMILY TREES!

Like, take for instance I decide to breed a female whimsicott and I get two eggs that both hatch into male cotonnee.

Those two cottonee would be brothers. And considering that the whimsicott line is in both the grass and fairy egg groups, that means they can breed with other pokemon in those respective egg groups as well.

So say I decided to breed one of those two cottonnees with a Lilligant (who's only in the grass egg group.) and the other one with a Chansey/Blissey (who are only in the fairy egg group.) and I get a Petilil and a Happiny/Chansey egg. And considering that their fathers came from the same female whimsicott, THAT WOULD MAKE THE HYPOTHETICAL NEWLY HATCHED PETILIL AND HAPPINY/CHANSEY COUSINS!

Or with the case of the infamous Skitty x Wailord matchup, I know it's pretty common in the fandom to joke about the fact that these two are in the same egg group together. Meanwhile, I'm personally still wrapping my head around the fact that not only can these two bread together. But they could also be potential cousins or even half siblings under particular circumstances!

I could go on. But I'm gonna stop here. Because it's like pass 5AM. And I desperately need sleep. But I just wanted to post about my own feelings towards Pokemon's breeding mechanics.

This is my mod sona, Candy! She’s the leader of a rescue team that goes by the name of “Team Damsels”! She also has a strange ability to temporarily go into other worlds when she’s asleep. She is a mix of a Skitty and Togekiss.

Yes, she remembers that she was once human, but she can’t remember anything from her past life.
