#ooohoohohohhhhhh my fucking GOD i saw the stupidest fucking post today#it was so stupid & condescending i had to unfollow & convince myself not to comment bc i dont want to get roped into discourse#but jesus fucking christ if you think that other people cant think critically enough to recognize that a bad character's actions + attitudes#are bad even though they personally like the character then idk what to tell you other than you are very very very detatched from reality#blah#YES characters absolutely portray real biases & bigotry & unhealthy behaviors which may or may not be the author's intent#BUT PEOPLE CAN THINK CRITICALLY ABOUT THOSE CHARACTERS JFC#i dont know what it is with people demanding that authors + artists make their work simple and morally palatable#and spoon-feed their audiences simple morally just lessons but this trend needs to die#youre not a literal child youre 16 grow up and fucking think for yourself g o d
