I watched Twilight a few days ago. And that movie is So Good, like,, unironically it is a very good movie, the dialogue is amazing, the cinematography is pretty, the mood of the movie is well established with the blue filter and sopping wet look everything has... does it have an incredibly cringe romantic plot? Yes, but it is very charming if you ignore all the problematic stuff. And it is so funny i spent the first half of the movie laughing way too hard. I am so disappointed with the rest of the series because that first movie is worth a billion dollars. To me.

#like. yes the romantic plot is cringe and Bad. but bella is not half as annoying as everyone wants you to believe.#'a girl moves to town to move with her emotionally distant dad and has an awkward time making new friends'#that is such a relatable story #and the dialogue with the townsfolk is so earnest and genuine im not being ironic i am being 100% genuine right now #if this movie was a coming of age/drama/mystery (charlie investigating the murders) it would be so much better #just a daughter and a dad trying to navigate life as the dad gets wrapped with his work and the daughter has a hard time in school #and maybe there are still vampires. that can also be fun. just take the creepy 'i've been watching you sleep for months' bits out of there.#gi talks #twilight
