Suddenly hit with embarrassing memory +3 emotional damage
#i had a couple email pen pals through a school thing (so not my own internet friends) when i was like 11#and an actual mailing pen pal#and the email pen pals i sent unhinged ranting too that was like. philosophical question stuff but ridiculous for a middle schooler#and then didnt understand why they stopped talking to me 🤦♂️#the mail pen pal was through a language exchange but i was only in my second year of german so i couldnt write more than a couple short#paragraphs with some basic questions and i felt bad because she had sent me a couple pages about her pets and choir stuff#so i drew stuff for her too but i didnt have real skills so it was like eyes and ghosts and stuff#and she dropped me after that like she either dropped the program or requested a new pen pal 🥲#i just didnt pick a new one i was like i should not communicate with strangers outside of message boards and aim chat rooms im unfit 😭🥲
