I'm one of those on the outside looking ins, so I had the smarty-pants idea of Oddysseus just adopting the kid. Because I remember it saying that the kid would fight the enemies of his father or something & my brain immediately went, "Hey, blood of the covenant, man."

And so long as he always told the kid that he did something awful to avoid having to do something even worse. Then, as soon as he's old enough, he told the kid exactly what his options had been, then it would likely reduce the chances of the boy going after him. And possibly increase the chances of a Kratos character. Not even having any godlike powers, just pure human indignation & vengeance.

After all, what greater enemy did his father have than the gods themselves?
